Phonto supports only English (US), Chinese and Japanese, so when the priority of Chinese (or Japanese) in your setting was higher than English, Phonto would be launched as Chinese (or Japanese) mode.
To solve this problem…
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Choose 'English' in 'General' > 'Language & Region' > 'iPhone Language'.
3. Turn back your 'iPhone Language' to your favorite language.

HOW TO INSTALL FONTS
--------------------------------
Using iTunes, you can copy font files between your computer and Phonto on your iOS device.
1. Select your iOS device from the Devices section of iTunes.
2. Click the Apps tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
3. Select "Phonto" in the "File Sharing" section.
4. Drag and drop .ttf or .otf font files into "Documents".
5. Restart Phonto.

Won't save to iPad Pro.
This won't save to my 2nd gen iPad Pro.It says photo saved, but it never is. I've tried saving to gallery, and saving to files, but the photo's edited in this, are nowhere to be found?

really good app
i don’t think i have anything on my phone that does what phonto can do. honestly, it’s just really good and useful as far as my needs for image editing on my phone goes. can’t imagine it would suit a photographer or something all too well, but for my purposes of combining images, adding text and layouts, it’s irreplaceable for me. the ads are unobtrusive and not annoying at all, plus it doesnt give you any ad pop ups except for after saving an image, but i think that’s fine because theoretically once you save an image you’re done using the app for that thing so being ‘obstructed’ at that point isn’t actually inconvenient. my favourite thing about the app is probably the layout features; i love being able to centre the objects, especially with consideration to their size and width. you could absolutely use phonto to make things like moodboards, simple graphics and maybe things like video thumbnails, etc. it has an eyedropper feature for colours too, so that’s really useful!
i think if i’d like one thing, it would be the option to duplicate images. i know you can duplicate text objects, but im not currently aware of being able to duplicate imported images.
anyway, i think this app could honestly benefit anyone who downloads it, especially as it’s a free app and it’s not annoyingly free like some other apps can be. some features are paywalled, but they dont hinder the general purpose of the app and i think it still has great functionality without the paid additions.

Need Help!!
It was the best app before, but then.. I don’t know! All of a sudden it said I had to turn off ‘privacy setting’ to upload a photo. I spent 15 minutes to try and figure it out! 😩
When I did, I didn’t. I found it, but it never said Phonto in the privacy setting! And I want to make a YouTube channel, so I’ll need it for my banner, intro, and profile! But it’s not seeming to work. 😞
I’m really confused I need the help to try and figure this out! Please please reply and send me some help to figure out why this is not letting me use it properly. But!! Before this problem, this app was the best! ❤️

Stuck can’t do anything
I watched a few tutorials and went to play on Phonto. Didn’t get very far. Was looking through fonts and decided to try a font that was just little designs. Now I can’t get out of it. I can share but I can’t go back or change font. I’m just stuck in this font and the “keyboard” is taking up either half the screen or 3/4 . I’ve closed it and reopened the app and the only thing that changes is the amount of screen the “keyboard “ takes up. Hugely disappointed as it looks like a promising app according to the tutorials. It is now unusable for me

Good ... But missing some key things
I enjoy this app (i can ignore ads even though I paid for the 3D text pack), has plenty of option for fonts, background, colours etc.
BUT, its missing a couple of key features :
1. Theres no UNDO button, so if you make a mistake theres no way of going back to try again.
2. Theres no zoom. The image size is fixed and on a 12.9” iPad it would be nice just to shrink it a bit if needed.
If it had those 2 it would get a perfect score, but as it is, it could be better.

It’s really great, however...
This app is my is a lifesaver. I use it for Instagram posts, thumbnails etc. It’s really easy to use and navigate, and the various fonts that you can use it absolutely amazing! However, these days whenever I try and import a photo to edit, my gallery does not show up, not letting me choose what photo I can edit. So, I’d have to exit the app every time I want to edit a photo. Honestly, it’s quite annoying - having to open the app, press the gallery option and close the app every time. The app was never like this, I really hope they update the app to help and stop this bug. However, I would recommend is app regardless, it really amazing, just need it to stop bugging out.

Keeps freezing and logging me out
Have had phonto a couple of years
It was good but for some reason starting two weeks ago - it freezes a lot and wont let me add another image to my picture. Very disappointing as i am paying for the app but nine times out of ten it just freezes when l am using it and or just shuts down. Have trued to delete and uploaded it and restored all my purchases but still nothing . Good app when it works but just the past weeks its been glitching a lot. If y'all can help that wld be amazing. Its doing the same thing on my iPad too.
I just dnt know what to do - if it continues i will just have to delete it and cancel my subscription. 🥺

The basic paid-for package is fairly easy to use, and works okay. Yesterday I bought the Add-on Phonto Image Pack, but it did not arrive. I have tried to contact the company, but no one has replied, which is frustrating. I think this is very unfair. I used to really enjoy this app
I used to enjoy this app but I needed it to write something on a piece of homework and it took me hours to complete. Once I was finished i uploaded it and 2 days later I went to check my mark and none of the answers I filled in were there. Please if you are going to use this app take a photo of your answers just in case.

I have used this app for over a year now on many different platforms (iPad, iPhone etc.) on loads of occasions. it does not have too many base fonts but the best thing about it is the fact that you can download your own fonts, which I see a lot of stars taken off for the people who do not know how to get them. Also I love the symbol tool, I think it’s a really nice effect.

I love this app and always have since I got it, had it for 2 years and now I just use it for the same things I have bought everything for Phonto and I have really tried getting all I can get out of it but I think this app needs a bit more features like putting text behind images, or putting pictures on text. This App could be good. However, having bought ALL the add-ons available I find that after any edits I make, like changing theme, etc., has been applied and once I try to save/upload the edited item, the App just crashes. Great possibilities with the App but if I can’t end up with the finished graphic after quite a lot of work, what is the point? Disappointing....

That good, I’ve rated it twice
So this is my second review I’ve written for Phonto. I need to express just how good this app is.
First of all, this app is free to use. Yes, there are options to buy things but these options are not forced upon you and you will probably feel more than happy to pay for some of special features.
I use this app as if it was photoshop, I make fantastic looking pictures to share with friends. It’s capable of doing things such as putting pictures into other pictures, put text on images, create your own logos to if you want. I have.
My only requests are please introduce an undo button and the ability to zoom in to a picture. Other than that, extremely happy with the app. One of the best apps I’ve ever used.

Can’t save to camera roll
when i first got this app i used it to make thumbnails. when i would make one i could easily just save it to my camera roll. after ios 13 or maybe even just the app update i can’t do that anymore. i can copy the image to imessage or whatsapp or whatever but not camera roll. please fix this idk if it’s a result of ios 13 or phonto itself. other than that the app is amazing

Since last update
Ive used this app for years to design thousands of posters and its been fantastic, but since the last update you are unable to save your work in high quality. I’ve paid for the full app so would expect a better service. This is also effecting my business. So no longer 5 stars only benefit 2 stars now.
Plus they just done another bug fix update but the issue of saving in HQ hasn’t been addressed, you still have to take a screenshot to get a decent quality finish.

waste of space in my phone
When I first downaloaded this app I would of gave it 5 stars but now I’d narrowed down to 3. I’ve been using this app for about 3 months actively but had it sitting on my phone for probably 6 . It was fine , could add multiple images , texts , shapes anything . One day it started crashing out of nowhere if added more than 1 image the app would black out and take me to my home screen . So I deleted and redownloaded it hoping it would fix the problem now I can’t do anything at all , something about a file failing to disk . Now it’s literally just sitting in my phone with 0 use because I can’t do anything with it

The best selection of fonts and colours I have ever come across. You can vary the size of the text and adjust the tilt as well. So easy to use. . .You won't need anything else once you've tried this!
