so i used video star many times but i thought i should stop editing as it wasn’t mine thing anymore so i had a subscription last month which was bought on march 3rd and expires on 3 april (which is today) and i woke up today and saw a notification from my bank that said that on 3am i bought something from apple for £4.49, i was really confused and realised it may have been video star but i don't know if these subscription are auto or something but if it was auto it would have told me that its gonna be an auto subscription, i cancelled the subscription as i don't have the app anymore and waiting for my money back .

i love video star and i’ve been using it to make edits throughout my use of youtube and instagram posts. the only issue with it is if your device dies or you just randomly get kicked off of the app whatever clip you're editing just goes back to what it was before and there’s no possible way of getting it back. i was just editing on my phone on a clip that had taken me 10 minutes and it died so now i unfortunately cannot get what i was editing back so i have to redo it. i hope at some point video star can somehow fix this because it’s very annoying :)

The app is amazing but the few things i do not like about this editing app is that:

- Video star pro is like half of the app and what makes it actually good. Though it isn’t really expensive, there are people like me that can’t buy that which makes it quite hard to use when all the good stuff is premium.

- Makes the quality of my videos just horrible. I make my video and it’s great but then i export it and it’s just shocking how bad the quality is!!

- The app itself is actually quite confusing.. While i edit, there are so so so many things that I need to look at a tutorial for which annoys me so much . The app is very complicated but easy at the same time.

It’s a great app and you can’t deny it, it’s one of the most popular video editing apps and has a lot of great features, but i think a lot of people can agree that the video quality is horrid. Velocity, multi layer and motion blur will DESTROY the quality of the video, unlike other editing softwares that are able to retain the quality. And as someone who has been using this app since like 2019, how has this app not added 60fps? It makes such a difference, all the other editing softwares have this feature but video star doesn’t. It would really improve the app. If it wasn’t for those 2 flaws, i would have given it 5 stars⭐️

I normally use CapCut, and also Video Star. But this caught my eyes. I saw how expensive it actually is, like WAY too expensive. As someone who has money, I would say it’s just a waste of money. I do need multilayer, but I just don’t want to purchase it. Some say it’s a waste of money, some say it’s really good. I’m in the middle, I really need to use layers for transition. But, I have CapCut, it’s as easy as that.

I need to say it’s good, but, not perfect. It uses way too much money and does not give the best out of Video Star for children, as a teenager, I would definitely recommend this for children, but what if they want something and their parents say no, like people want the best out of every single app.

Although I love this app and have used it for years to edit, I am absolutely fuming at the fact that it makes me have to reset my whole phone all because something won’t load for so long, I just made a whole transition in multi-layer and it all didn’t save because I had to restart my whole phone since it wouldn’t load. I have to do this about every ten minutes and I know it isn’t problems with my phone or storage because multiple other people I know have had it do the same to them. I highly recommend you figure out what’s going on with this weird glitch as it is effecting mine and other peoples edits as we cannot save progress and have to do it all again due to restarting the whole phone. It is only video star this happens on and every other app is fine and doesn’t do this. Other than that it is a fantastic editing app and I 100% recommend to anyone wanting to get into editing. Thank you.

Everything is perfect on video star and a really grate platform for editors. The thing is why does it have to be money? Since this generation, they charge you for everything. But I didn’t mind paying. My rating of this app is 9.3 / can include a bit of improvising / You can make really good edits on here. However, it is really hard and includes QR’s. I think the QR’s are honestly a joke because they full up our iPad. One more complaint is that the masking on people. It is really bad and after effects is so smooth and you also have to pay money for that. I wouldn’t say the masking on video star is really good. I would prefer capcut but other than all of that i love making profile pictures and edits on there!! Really creative 🤪

Constantly I’m spending hours on edits and videos at the moment, but whenever my phone or iPad dies all of my progress has been lost. The same goes for whenever the app kicks me off for no reason, everything I’ve made on multilayer that I haven’t finished yet gets deleted and everything is gone (meaning I have to start the whole thing over again.) please can you add a feature onto when the app kicks you out or your device dies, your video gets saved and not everything getting deleted causing you to do it over again. My charge wasn’t working and so my ipad had died. A one minute edit I had spent over 2 hours on got deleted and nothing was saved whatsoever. Just a blank screen with the sound over it. Again, please just make the video save automatically because it’s getting extremely annoying now. Except from all that, video star isn’t all that bad. It’s the only editing app I know how to use and make decent edits on. But please try and fix this issue if you can.

a lot of people don’t like it because it’s “too hard” but u can use qr codes off others and learn how to use a lot of stuff “it costs too much” I use free and it’s still really good. Plus, a pack is only around 3 pounds (uk) and also it’s fun to use and my favourite part of it is keyframes, it makes it easy and oh my god, the beizer graphs update saved my life! It is so much eisier and i love the fact that u can get featured QR codes for if ur stuck in transitions and don’t know what to do next! I really do love this app, 10/10 would reccoment. It’s a great app but i find it really unfair that you have to pay to do most things you need for an edit like velocity, layers, colourings and more. i know we can get some free presets people make but it’s unfair because all the good ones you have to pay money for and even if i wanted to consider buying premium it never works. The least that could be added for free users is velocity to make decent edits. Video star is one of the best apps i’ve found with smooth velocity, it’s such a shame u have to pay monthly just to get something as simple as that.

as an avid user since 2018, i started with videostar free and obviously i made that work and it’s good for just putting a few clips together with a few random effects but i definitely think videostar paid is worth the money and in my opinion, a fiver a month is quite affordable compared to other video editors. i don’t have many complaints, i absolutely love videostar the quality of the app to say it’s a mobile editing app is amazing, however my number 1 complaint at the moment is that you can add effects to animated text- it’s very very annoying and the animated text looks very very plain without being able to directly add effects to it whilst in multilayer.

my other complaint is velocity, it’s really hit and miss, sometimes it’s amazing and other times the frames are really crappy.

if you could look into these things in the next update that would be brill.

i love video star so much i’ve been editing on it since 2019 but this last week on video star has been HORRIBLE. sunday i tried buying £4.49 video star pro pass ( i buy it every month and cancel the subscription just before it renews because i buy it again when i have the money ). when i tried buying it on sunday it took me to a authentication thing for my mums bank which it has NEVER done before. My mum cancelled it as she thought it was some scam and the app TOOK MY MONEY and DID NOT give my one month pro pass. i was really disappointed since ive been buying the same thing for 3 years and it’s never happened. however it isn’t over yet, there was no record of me buying the pass and it confused me a lot. i contacted the support team on video star app and they did not help. in fact they didn’t reply for 5 days. i check my money today surprise i got my £4.49 back? once again i was desperate for my pass since editing is my life so i tried buying one month pass and it did the exact thing. pls just find me a way i can get my pro pass without going through authentication or loosing my money! if this continues i will not be buying again! the support team are also very unhelpful no offence pls find better 😢 i just tried buying again this time i approved the authentication and everything YET STILL NO VIDEO STAR PRO pls you have took my money 3 times give it to me already

Video Star is a spectacular editing app which I use quite often for animation and editing. Sometimes, it can also be used to edit certain types of audios which is also rather useful. Overall, I’ve seen various fantastic edits online that have been used by video star. The only slight problem I have with the app is that the majority of features have to be purchased either by itself or with VSP. Otherwise, the app is very good and has nice quality. Would recommend to several editors and animators.

I absolutely love video star! I have video star pro and really love it! However, recently I have been experiencing many bugs, including when I try to create in multi-layer it tell me that it’s had an error connecting the audio with the video, or it will take ages to load for something and sometimes not load at all (multi-layer, velocities, transform, etc.) and its quite frustrating as it makes me lose most of my progress in my edit. Absolutely love video star but if there is any way to fix the bugs it would be much appreciated thanks!

I’ve payed a lot of my own money on videostar and it was great at the start. I use it to create video edits for my tik tok account. And in video edits you want the best quality possible. I have 4K scene packs of who i am editing and I use a lot of my storage to get them. But as soon as I put them into videostar, they put this like transparent white cover on it which completely ruins the quality . And it is extremely annoying when I have a great edit idea but I cant do it because the quality of the video is ruined. So if you have the choice. Don’t choose videostar. It damages your video quality for no reason.

vs us good but sometimes it’s so annoying like it doesn’t work,whenever I’m using text and use opacity it doesn’t fade or anything,it goes straight from 0 to 100! I had to go to capcut and use the fade there for it and it didn’t even match the timing on the video so it looked bad!! I saw you replied to another review about multilayer being free,that is not true most people want multilayer to do transitions,like me for example I have gone through hell only just to do a slide where a picture split in half comes in at different timing,there also would be green outlines everywhere because of the effect mix,there are so many good transitions even though there basic in mix but it’s paid,it’s driving me away from the app and I’ve been trying other apps out too, but I seriously want video star to work out for me,I have been using from 2020 and I have improved but it took a lot to improve with only free effects,most of the color effects on there is paid,there’s not much to use as free also,I have been just using the same effect for all my thumbnails,my friend had also gone through this aswell,we both love editing and we don’t want video star to be the end of it. Please take this into consideration and let multilayer be free,I know you probably won’t but it’s just a thought,it would keep a lot of people in ur app and more coming.

this app in general is great! there are many transitions to try out and you discover something new everyday! I recommend the QR codes so if you’re a beginner so you can look at the transitions mastered people make so then you can get inspiration from it and make your own unique QR codes for other

beginners.

If you do have enough money then you can try buy the subscription to the app and i do recommend it; it makes you unlock many other layouts and you can use multi layer and trust me, i’ve tried it myself and its mind blowing!

It’s too difficult to understand. I’ve installed the app many times to try and understand it. Impossible. You don’t have the clip in front of you like if you want to change anything you have to completely restart you cannot go back. When making a sound you have to adjust it yourself. It’s all squished and it’s tiny. No instructions and nowhere to add text or add effects. I’m not even going to try looking for the text interaction because I don’t even understand the basics of trying to make the video to start with! I was trying to edit a large clip and only the first half would show. (It was all one clip) no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get the two to merge or split. I’ve given up completely on this app and don’t understand how it’s got so may good reviews. Obviously people will have different experiences but this was mine. I make Roblox edits and was trying to find a better app but this is worse! Will not be installing again.

This is definitely the best editing app for iOS users. I don’t see why there are people complaining about this app being expensive, just wait until they find out about After Effects. I can definitely see why this app is so expensive, the edits that are being made using this app are phenomenal. If you are having trouble using this app because it’s too difficult to understand, I recommend you follow a bunch of tutorials online before writing a bad review! I followed tutorials in 2019 and I can use this app perfectly fine! This app is amazing and it’s my go to editing app!

This app is so worth it, i just started but it’s kinda confusing and it’s a lot of money to do some things and transitions, etc. But this is highly suggested for people who are good at editing, it’s okay but you have to spend a fortune on it just to have very nice editing. But one of my requests is, I have saw other apps like funimate etc again, but it’s very hard and on apps like that it’s easier graphs. This is very short but I don’t really have much to say. Reply this if you can, if not I understand but i know your just trying to make money but please lower the price!!

Absolutely amazing editing app. I think that, once you understand this app, you will know how to use it instantly. I have made my edits with this app for 2 years now, after moving away from the other apps I used. I would over all recommended this to anybody who would like find a good starting point in editing. The only issue I have with this app, is the fact that you have to pay WAY too much money for good looking edits. I’m not saying that the free edition is crappy or bad, but I would like to stand against the fact you have to pay £25 (I am from the UK) just to make better edits. I don’t understand it.

it’s a bit pricey so you can have all of the effects and do layers and velocity, really to use most of the features and stuff like that. Overall it’s really good you can still make decent edits with vsf .I just wish that it was cheaper or at least there was a wider range of effects and you could use and more of the features and add at least one layer. Other than that this app is amazing i love it it’s really great for edits one of the best i think and i love it. 100% recommend and but it is a lot harder on video star free rather than paid. I’ve had video star for around 7 months now but ive only just learnt to use it, it may seem tricky at first but when you start to watch tutorials and help videos, you’ll get the hang of it. I really really enjoy video star, it’s good for advance transitions, colouring, 3D transitions and just everything really. I’ve seen people who get angry about how much pro costs and how there isn’t much free stuff, but I don’t mind it there’s many things the vsf community can do on videostar and as a vsf user I enjoy it. The only thing is even though there is many things for vsf I think you should add a few more transitions and blurs (like tracking blur) to video star free because there is many kids that use vs and aren’t aloud to buy pro on it so I think it would be good if you just added some more things for free.

I really love video star, it’s great for beginners and advanced transitions, 3D transitions, audio effects, colouring, effects and more. I think the prices are pretty decent for what they give you. It is really worth it if you pay for one of the passes. Personally, I pay for the silver Incase I change my mind on paying for it. The only thing I don’t really like about this app is that it’s only available on an iPhone and I think it would be more appreciated if it was spread across to androids as well (even though I don’t have one personally I know many of my friends who do who would love to be able to use this app) even if it started as a BETA I think It would help the community a lot better. But like I said I love using video star to make my edits and it has now turned into my hobby and is something I do in my spare time. Really appreciate if you reply but if not I understand.

This app is so worth it and even though a lot of the effects cost it’s totally worth it if you’re into editing like me! But my one request is I’ve seen Funimate and other editing programs/apps have their graphs really easy to make. You have two points and all you need to adjust them. Video star has a more complicated version of that which is great but if they checked out the other style and maybe added another type of graph setting so you could use the graph system they have now and the other one it would make it so much easier for editors! Honestly that would push me to think it’s the best editing app! Of course it’s my opinion but I think video star is great but this small detail could save people like me a LOT of time! I would say if I had to rate it out of ten then I would rat it an 8.5 because it's really good but the biggest problem is video star free editors, when my vs pro expired there wasn't much variety because I mostly had to use green screens and mix and to think of it I think it needs to be more generous to the vsf community because we put a lot of efforts into our edits, I have to even put my tracking blur with fuminate and it's getting to the point where I'm too tired of having to do this, I would say that videostar free can have at least 1-5 layers to put their edit and and make tracking blur custom colourings and more varieties of 3d shaped for vsp adding relflections to 3d reflections like ae (making the 3d objects shiny) and adding better glow aura for video star free anyways I know this review is really really really long but I just want to help and try to give the app some advise cause I really appreciate if they do this because this is the best phone app I've used so far and I would love to see it progress a phew years anyways hope yo guys agree with me 🤗💕💖

i really love video star! it’s such a brilliant editing app and you can do so much on it, such as 3d edits, make sounds, velocities, edits and more! It takes a good minute to learn how to use everything but once you get the hang of it, it’s very easy! the prices are very cheap too! (if you have £ currency, then it’s only around £5 for a month of paid, £12 for 3 months, and £30 for a year and individual packs are around £2 forever! it’s very affordable for most people and even when you use free, you can do a lot! overall video star is a very good app for editing and i’d really recommend!

Until now, I’ve never had any problems with video star and it’s one of my go-to editing apps.

However, since updating the app to 1.4.4 earlier today one of my projects won’t open. I was editing the audio and then the app crashed and shut down, and now whenever I click on the project or try to export it the app instantly closes again. This is only happening on one specific video. I’ve saved the project to iCloud and deleted and redownloaded the app with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’ve spent a lot of time on this video already and I won’t be able to re-create it exactly the same.

I honestly love video star so much it has been my no1 editing app for almost 2 years now! I’m not sure if it’s just me but you have to pay for multilayer now! I know it’s not free but what I’m trying to say is that it says I have to pay for 1 layer. I remember before I always used 1 layer and it was free but now it isn’t which annoys me a lot since I don’t want to stop using video star! :( I hope you see it and fix it since it has not happened to my friends and it’s just me! Now,I’ve been using video star for 3 years and I have made amazing edits,I even made an edit that looked exactly like after effects and was really smooth,I made a ton of fan anime edits but they just weren’t right..all I needed was the colouring pack as I have all packs but not that one,I just need to make my edits better and maybe u could put like 4 or 5 things for free in paid packs and the rest u have to actually pay,cause I hate wasting money on a app,plus u need money to pay bills and stuff with I wouldn’t really care but still-I’m Giving this a 5 star just so more people can see-

Not to be rude but I use the one layer all the time and that is why I need more layers and I get your trying to make money and all but some people really need these this and I can’t do things other people can do LIKE the colouring I can’t add my own colour and MULTILAYER because I cant add text over my videos! And whenever i put in a transition it always stays stuck at the side on the screen and it’s so ANNOYING!! Like... no🤡 I would recommend this app for people that have money but if you don’t have a lot of money for example me a child then I really don’t recommend this!

I have only been using this app for editing for about a week and its amazing! You can make rlly good transitions on this app however there are a couple of issues; you have to pay for most layout or filter effects which i dont mind too much but maybe you could make more off them free? The main issue i found with this was that u have to get vsp to use the multilayer feature. I personally dont like to spend money on apps and im sure many other people don’t either. I think many people would benefit from this feature being free as it is the main thing people might use in editing otherwise you are basically just macking a slideshow with transitions. I would recommend this to someone who doesn’t mind paying money for apps or games. Thank you for taking time to read this.

I’ve had video star ever since it became popular in small places. I love the app and it is easy to use too! I use it to tween(move body parts on an app) and it is amazing!

Although I do have 1 or 2 complaints.

1. It’s way too expensive

I get that you need the money but I can’t pay for 87% of the app! It’s really expensive! The filter may look REALLY good but I’m not paying £10 for an app that someone might delete on accident!

2. It glitches! And I mean like 24/7!

The glitching problem with this app is REALLY REALLY bad! I say this not because the devise I’m on doesn’t work perfectly. My devise is perfectly fine and all my other apps work perfectly but I don’t get why video star glitches SO MUCH!

One second it works then the next it’s like a ghost is just playing around with my phone!

Other than that the app is perfectly fine(when it doesn’t glitch around)! I don’t expect this app to be perfect because no app is perfect! It has its flaws but it’s a really good app!

Video Star is a great app, and at first it may be confusing to use but when you get the hang of it, it gets better. i don’t have any complaints, whatsoever. you can change your theme, there are velocity edits, normal edits, colouring, overlayers and much more! you ca you clip packs which i personally like for beginners, but when you get used to it making your own transitions are also fun! the paid feature is amazing, and you can do so much more, even though you can do a lot with free. in my opinion it’s well priced, and what you can do with it is amazing. 3D,2D, a lot of things you can make. i’m so happy i am using this app, especially for people who want to get a PC and use AE, it’s a good experience to do your own edits. thank you so much for making this and i hope everyone enjoys it as much as i do! 🤠👍

I love this app, it’s so great! Me and my sisters had it around 2012+ but when we stop using our old ipad i forgot about it COMPLETELY.

I remembered the fun videos we used to make, making up dance routines, choosing effects, we even got our aunties and parents involved in some!

I only remembered it when i was scrolling through tiktok and saw some edits! I thought they were FABULOUS, so i asked what app they used. They replied in seconds saying, “I use video star!” i thought to myself “video star? i thought that was for making silly, fun videos”

I searched it up on app store and was so surprised to see it was still there! i downloaded it thinking it was going to be a piece of cake. Only, that wasn’t the case. :( It was so hard to make good edits for free without multi layer! i was really sad.

So the only bad thing about this review is that i think multi layer should be its own pack! Only if you guys want to. I know it’s very hard to make money. Overall i think this app is great anyways on its own.

This is an amazing app and has completely changed my life for the better! The only bad thing about it is the AMOUNT of things that cost money! Like seriously! It would cost like £50 or more a MONTH just to have all the packs! Also, I think people should be allowed to use at least three layers in multi-layer without having to pay, and only the REALLY amazing effects should be in packs. In fact, I think all the in-game purchases should be available in one big pack! As I said before, I love this app, but I’m not allowed to spend money on it and the sheer amount of stuff that costs money is just ridiculous. I know you need money to survive and all that, but surely you don’t need to rob people of their life savings JUST for an editing app! It’s stupid! I absolutely adore this app, but their is only one issue for me and I don’t know if others can relate as when reading all the other reviews nobody seemed to care as much and kinda ignored it??

The only issue is the cost for the extra effects and such, I know you are trying to get allot of money which I’m sure your doing! But why not just make people pay £9 for the effects with limited time??

It would be better for some of us, and you might even make more money as the people that didn’t buy anything on here before will want to buy it??

That’s my only complaint though!

This app is really good if you have money but don’t want to spend a fortune on an editing program like after effects bug it’s clear that the makers are just trying to make extra money with the packs. As an editor I find it impossible to make a somewhat decent edit without LAYERS so could you please fix that I’ve seen a lot of people beg for the layer feature to be free and besides that it’s really great I never in my life have seen an app for your phone with 3D transitions but of course you have to pay for those but at least its in a pack and not a subscription. One last thing you need LOTS of space on your phone to opperate this app I say if you’re not going to get the packs it’s not worth it.

Video Star is amazing. You can make videos with music of your choice! The only thing is that there isn’t a lot of music to choose from though but that’s fine. I do love the music and best of all. There isn’t many ads! That is probably the best part of Video Star because you aren’t watching an ad all the time. You can make videos with your best friend and choose your own filter thingy. There is a lot of different filters witch I also like about this app. If you like dancing then I’d recommend this app to you and if you download this then I really hope you like it as much as I do.

Videostar is a really good app, way better than a lot of the others. You can make edits for free! (There is a few things you need to pay for but that’s optional. I make edits all the time and I don’t lay at all) And they’re really good.

But I’d wish they would make multi layer free, or have effects that are free for a day to make people go on it more and see if there are any free effects. Or even better- tell people to write a review and you get to pick a few effects that you want for free. Things like this that connect with the audience improves ratings and the relationship with the app.

I have used this app for about a year now, it’s probably the best editing app ever on IOS. The bad reviews are from people that use this app that don’t make money from it. I use an app called LIKEE and I get paid for it. The prices are very good for what the packs offer, some packs are bad but the ones I have are great. Spending one £14 on multilayer and a few other packs is pretty good considering I am able to impress people with the video editing skills I have within the app, and I am able to grow my page on the LIKEE app very cheaply, so investing money into this app is great for content creators like myself.

i just don’t get how to make the sound slow motion ,also i think the variety to edit is very small and you have to pay for stuff that you might not ever use i’ve been using this app for over 2 years (i think) but recently i have noticed major flaws and i think it needs an update

now i realise why people give it a 3 star review unless there is an update soon(in the next month or so, i will stop using this app all together

me personally as a gacha editor this app is really useful (in minor cases) however most of the time this app, i look down on because all the people making the app want is to get more money out of people like me,i could go on and on about how utterly useless and useful this app is and i will!

It’s a good editing app but please make Multi Layer free. I don’t understand why you have to pay for it as it’s not an effect and isn’t necessarily included in a package.

Also there are way TOO many packs that you have to purchase for extra effects. I think the makers of the app really want some extra money with all these packs. Please lower down the amount of packages because we feel quite restricted with what we can use without having to pay.

When we edit we want it to be good, if we don’t pay, our edits are terrible. Please cut down on the ‘pay for every package including separate effects’. It wastes our time and makes everything so much harder. Please fix this asap!

I love video star, but I think there are too many purchases for it to be considered a good editing app. Like you have to pay £4.99 for Multi-Layer, and the purpose of me downloading Video Star was to make edits for one of my instagram accounts. I have got used to it, but i think this app would be way more popular if most of the things were not needed to be purchased and more people would download it. Hopefully you could remove the purchase of Multi-Layer. And also i don’t like how you have to sign in with your bank details and they STORE YOUR BANK DETAILS?! Would be a lot better if you could pay then they forget your bank details. Would use this app way more if you updated these :)

You have a lot of things that you have to pay for which personally I would never buy even though I want to, I feel like more effects should be free so I can edit my videos better because some of them seem like they should be free but you have to pay for them

Next reason I click re effect clip and I have my recent effects that I've used and I have to double click on the effect for it to work because it won’t and I have updated it and it still does it and it bugs me

Overall it’s a great app with problems that need to be fixed but not every app is perfect but I rely on this app a lot for editing so it would be better if some things could be fixed

I use video star to make fan edits, and it’s amazing! With practice, you can make edits just as good as someone who edits on a computer - video star has so many different effects and features which allow you to make custom effects and transitions which is what I love.

I just wish I’d known about video fx live before I got packs on video star; I want to use voiceovers but I’ve already bought quite a few packs on vs rather than getting a pass so I don’t want to pay for them again :/ That’s my mistake though, just if you want voiceovers then the other app is better! ☺️
