Just received a notification about a sold out event…

I just received a notification about a Robert Plant concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I instantly clicked on the links provided and the show is sold out. So…what is a notification’s purpose if not to find out about something right away…?

Please review/improve your processes or else people will switch to other providers if they haven’t done so already…

Used to be very good

This app used to be my favourite but since it’s been updated I can’t see the whole list of gigs that I’m planning to go to. It only shows a few months and that’s it. I used to see all of the gigs that I’m interested in and now it’s hard to plan things because they changed the app unnecessarily.

Wrong information.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. A fake notification came through for a gig and i believe it to be a mistake. It has happened before and I actually booked the tickets. This time I haven’t but with the demand and price of gig tickets these days this need to be a tighter system. I didn’t get refunded last time.

The Alkaline Trio gig in Forest Hill UK 2nd of March is a mistake as they are touring the US then. Please correct the problem.

Great app but some issues as of late

I love using Songkick, an absolute brilliant app for tracking artists and local concerts etc, but currently unable to save the dates to my calendar like I used to. I used that as a reminder so I never double booked and it linked straight to the app if I still hadn’t brought tickets and could. (Way to get out of my brothers 40th birthday party) I really hope that it comes back, because as I get older I forget that I’ve booked for the cinema with my best friend or a gig with the wife, either way one of them gets annoyed for my double booking. (Gig wins mind, cinema has all month) please bring that back for us all as I’m sure I’m not the only one that needs this service.

Hosting scam concerts

Despite being warned this site continues to host scam non existent concerts . For example : Martin Rev at the Barbican in London on 28th November 2023. No such concert is scheduled and the Barbican sell their own tickets . The ticket vendor on Songkick has changed now from Billeto to another one and they are both vehicles for stealing peoples money . Songkick should be vigilant about this and contacting them to warn them produces no results . Avoid.

I can’t be the only one that things this app is of little value

I give Songkick a list of a dozen locations that are accessible to (since it doesn’t accept regions or radii), I give it a comprehensive list of artists via my Spotify access, so I want to see when those artists are in those locations.

That’s all. A timeline from today into the future with all the dates where any of my tracked artists are in any of my tracked locations.

I don’t care about every other event going on in a location, nor do I care for having to view each location separately.

The website seems to work adequately but this app is not fit for its purpose.

Used to be good

Will have to find an alternative app. This used to be good, ljkked to my Spotify and told me when anybody was going on tour. Now it rarely sends notifications, has artists I don’t even care about in the ‘your tracked artists’ section, I’ve missed out on so many concerts because of it not working.

Love the app it’s amazing for finding events in my area as well as keeping up with my faves and their tour dates. However I have iOS 16.5 and I don’t even have the option to turn on notifications, which is messing up things for me when I want to buy tickets for high in demand concerts. Does everything you want it to do!

Very useful, easy to use app that makes keeping on top of concerts so easy. Has tons of convenient features designed to help you out, and no intrusive ads! The only thing that could be improved is the search function often requiring you to fully type out the artist’s name exactly, but not a very big issue.

Absolutely fantastic app for planning future events, keeping track of forthcoming events and buying tickets. What massively lets Songkick down is the inability to access your past events and record your gig history. It’s a feature that used to be available through 3rd party programmes, but access has been withdrawn with no option within the site to retrieve what is my own personal information. Needs sorting!

Really useful app if you like live music and entertainment

Easy to use and once you’ve followed acts you like it sends out emails and live notifications once gigs are arranged - before tickets are released so it was great for getting good tickets. BUT … not all gigs by an artist appear on Stage ng kick now so it’s not as reliable. Such a shame 😞

Terrible for tracking artists towns outside London

Didn’t upload my Spotify artists and seems to only list Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness as available locations in Scotland. No Paisley which has a buzzing music scene but all of the inner city London towns which are smaller are listed. It’s rubbish and glitchy .

Almost works

So a no-brainier for an app that records your gig location preferences and your favourite bands would be to combine the two, allowing you to see when your favourite artists are playing at your preferred locations.

Is this view available?

Yes, which makes this better than BandsInTown which doesn’t.

Does it work well?

No. It misses many of your favourite artists, even if you’ve marked the specific gig as “Interested”.

Love this app but is still missing a core feature

I’ve been using this app for a long time, and I absolutely love it. Super useful discovering concert of Artist I follow around me. Though it’s missing a core feature to it product offering: being able to see if the concert is sold out.

I get that it may be complex to retrieve this info from a tech stand point, but you have user who could help you make this information available for other. The number of time that I went checking every link to buy the ticket only to notice that the tickets were sold out everywhere. I think if you were to have a “report as sold out” feature that maybe turns into a tag on the page or card, once it’s been clicked more than 5 times, or whatever the thresholds is, would allow other users to know when if there is. I point bothering checking website, and would require little to no manual process from your end. Just a suggestion. But again otherwise I love this app.

Songkick is fab, I’m so pleased I discovered it. Once you put in all your artists you never have to worry about kidding a concert opportunity again. I also track all the gigs I’m going to and it sends me reminders etc. Really pleased.

Brilliant idea, brilliant app’

I LOVE Songkick. I regularly searched for gigs and tours and was on every mailing list going, but an app’ that does the searching for you is just superb. And it works! I have already been to 3 gigs I simply wouldn’t have found out about if it weren’t for Songkick and have another 4 in the diary. If you’ve got a lot of artists in your music library (as I have), this app’ is a game changer. Absolutely brilliant.

I love this app and I’ve seen gigs and bands I wouldn’t have because of it.

It’s only that I wish it could distinguish between Newport Wales (where I live) and Newport Isle of Wight, which is hundreds of miles away.

Wrong locations

Useful for finding your dates but venue location accuracy is somewhat woeful. We have two popular small venues in my hometown yet this app places them in neighbouring towns 20 miles away from their actual location. I’ve mailed the developers twice about this incorrect information but they’ve failed to make the necessary amendments.

We were lucky enough to get right at the front at the students guild hall in Liverpool and for oldies like us it was worth queuing for a few hours to do so. What a performer, what a band and what an atmosphere. I don’t usually go to see the same artists constantly , but he would be the exception. He was amazing and so humble and genuine. Fantastic night

Useful app

Love the app and have been for years now, I appreciate that it keeps improving. No issues with it and highly recommend. Only thing I wish for is if it had a calendar built in for the gigs I’m interested in and adding the dates when it goes on sale as well. I subscribe to it on my personal calendar but I’ve got so much rubbish in my personal calendars that the songkick gigs get buried and have to use a separate one. Has opened live music up for me again!!

Installing this app is one of the best things I've done in a long time. I have always loved live music but had stopped going, mainly because I Justin didn't have the times to go and hunt for gigs, Songkick had changed all that. After an initial set up it let's me know when all my favourite bands are touring and makes buying tickets and tracking dates super easy. Absolutely love it, thanks Songkick!!!

If ur a concert goer like me, I would definitely reccomend this app. I didnt even have to chooose what concert I Wanted to go to, it chose it all for me depending on my Apple Music library. Not great if you wanna buy tickets on time

As good as this app can be finding concerts around you, it fails to notify right on time before the tickets go on sale. Many times the notifications are pushed once the sale has already started which by then is almost useless since everything is sold out for the big concerts...

This app is fantastic!

To have a pan regional option (which means that you can choose to have not only a country but Western Europe for example)

Missing my ult kpop group

I really like this app and it is super useful however they dont have all the kpop groups i am interested in. My ult kpop group is ONEUS but they dont have them on the app which i am a bit disappointed about. Aside from that, i will still cary on useing this app!

My favourite app

Quite simply my favourite app ever. I love my gigs but kept finding out the artists I wanted to see was sold out by the time I knew they were playing. After getting Songkick that is no longer a problem. You can customise it to your music taste and then it notifies you as soon as a concert is announced. Great app but have to click on gig to actually see who’s playing

On the screen it shows you all these amazing gigs and some pictures above them (some of which you can’t really see who they are) and the names of the people/group/band or whatever are all cut off so you have to tap on them to see who they are which can get irritating quite quickly.

The only way to track gigs

It’s a great app, the only way not to miss out on your favourite bands. One feature which would be cool is to align holiday plans with locations tracked, i know I’m going to be somewhere special for two weeks later in the year, I’d love to track my bands for that locale just those two weeks.

Not impressed with the so called re vamp. I used to love the ease of hitting the artist tab and the alphabetical list of artist’s made it straight forward to scroll down and see who was touring

Latest update continues the disappointment

This app is fantastic for discovering gigs by your favourite artists. But it really isn't improving very quickly and some steps are backwards.

The latest update buried the "your plans" in your profile which is very disappointing. The "interested" button is big but new users will struggle to find what that actually does.

The home page is a mess. And honestly the recommendations look random. "Because you like John Prine" is front and centre - based off 1 song when I allowed access to my music library?! There are so many more choices. You have had my data since 2011 and that's the best you can do!!!!!

My final irritation is that it used Apple Maps by default with no option to switch to Google maps. Who knows if that is even possible on the iPhone but Google maps is significantly better when trying to use public transport to get to gigs.

After 7 years I think I need to take a long hard look at the competition.

I do not know what I did before this app!!!

I had this app since the beginning when it was just basic!! It just improves and gets better with time. It’s my life. Whatever city I am in I can see whose playing where and if I fancy a weekend away wherever I can base the artists who I want to see around this and where they are playing.

I would recommend this app to any music lover - like I said this app is life! I love it and would no be without it 🦋

Awesome app

Songkick is great it makes it so much easier tracking and finding concerts. Highly recommended.

A few improvements that would be nice.

1. When you look up an artist a tab for past concerts would be good. Even a small number count on the tab would be a nice touch.

2. Can past concerts be mapped onto the calendar and the ability to jump years would be cool.

3. Support to scan your Deezer favourite artists. I’m sure the Deezer guys have a nice API you can play with ;)

Great little app that’s ensured I’ve not missed a concert since having it installed. Only downside is it doesn’t scan other music streaming sites like Deezer but I can live with that for now.

Great for finding out what’s going on and where. It would be cool if you could put in a location between certain dates (for seeing if gigs are on when you’re going on holiday). Also wish it could scan the iTunes library on your laptop.
