Description

Kiki's Koi-Koi offers a classic Japanese card game with bright graphics, an intuitive interface, and just the right balance of strategy and luck to pass the time away. Oh, and it stars a fish.
WHAT IS KOI-KOI?
Koi-Koi is a simple two-player card game played with the colorful Japanese cards known as Hanafuda. Match cards from your hand to those on the table to make sets or call "Koi-Koi" to press your luck for more points. But watch out! Your opponent may score bonus points from your risk-taking. How far are you willing to test the fates?
DESIGNED FOR ALL PLAYERS
Is this your first time playing Koi-Koi? Kiki's got you covered. She can walk you through a full hand of play and show you the ropes. Or if you'd prefer to dive in, skip the tutorial and start up a game against Kiki herself. She'll show you which cards you can match, getting you on your feet instantly.
Or perhaps you're a seasoned pro. Well, Kiki's been training for a long time, waiting for this day to arrive. She's ready to play and can't wait for you to step up to the table. Do you have what it takes to defeat the reigning Fish League champion? (That's what Kiki calls herself, by the way.)
STEP ASIDE, KIKI
If you've got a friend with you, the two of you can play against each other with just one device. Pass the game back and forth and see who's the real Koi-Koi Master.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
- "This app helped me to master Hanafuda. You won't be disappointed."
- "This game is by far the best way of getting into and learning the game. I've learned more in 2 rounds on this game then I have in all the other things before this."
- "A more challenging alternative to simple, mindless card games like solitaire."

Good for beginners, but dated

The game design is clean and pretty, and has a lot of assistance for players new to the game. However as mentioned, it is an older app and is lacking updates to bring it to HD and to improve the performance of its animation.

Great game with eye candy!

Brilliant app for any level of player, I never played koi-koi till I bought the app; now I play at the hardest difficulty.
Couldn't ask for a better app to play on the animations are well thought out and professional without hindering game play.
Everything is just beautiful

Excellent

However it always makes me start the game again once I exit the app for a certain amount of time.

Love it!!

Great app. Only one small thing - you lose any game you're currently in if you need to go into options

Lovely version of the game!

This a really well thought out, visually engaging take on the card game. The developers actually listen to feedback and it's one of the best 'game' apps I have downloaded.

Learn to play a great card game

This is a great introduction to people who want to learn how to play Koi-Koi, a fantastic Japanese card game. The tutorial alone is worth the price of admission, and you also get a great looking game that plays well.

Great little app, clean UI, a real treat

Great Koi-Koi app, easy to use, good tutorial, clean design, no clutter at all, pleasant in-game music, faithful to the traditional hanafuda design, a complete delight! Highly recommended for newbies like me and more experienced players. Do note that I rarely write any reviews but this little app really deserves it.

:)

A well executed single player and "pass-and-play" multiplayer game. The tutorial provides both informative and simple introduction into the world of Hanafuda.
The only issue with the game is the moment after a set has been found and player needs to choose either "Koi-Koi" or "End Hand", the selection box is placed over the majority of the field.
