Sauna and spa
I booked a room in the sauna and spa category expecting a sauna and spa on location only to discover there isn’t either there just a local spa down the road where you can pay for treatments that also doesn’t have a sauna or steam room. 😆

Okay but stupid so-called savings, and watch the small print
It does the job if you faff about but you can’t save your search preferences which rarely change e.g. price range, and have to mess about constantly to exclude hostels and shared rooms. There are endless “special offers” which are clearly nonsense e.g. a small hotel in Thailand where the room is down from £230 to £15. Be very careful of all the small print e.g. sometimes prices are with taxes and sometimes they are not, be careful of cancellation small print.

I’m a hotel owner and this app displays incorrect out of date information. We stopped using agoda 3 years ago due to the worst customer service ever! We are now active on there again as they are a partner of booking.com! Agoda are the worst of all the hotel agents! Use and you will be disappointed

Lack of Customer Service Contact
I rate Agoda, been the best app for travelling we have used. But I feel I should bring attention to a lack of a clear contact method in case you have an issue. A live webchat would be useful, or a direct link via app. Pure suggestion.

Hard to get hold of
I can’t see anyway of speaking to someone until after you have made a booking and have a booking reference. Very frustrating that you need to enter a booking reference on the phone and online to even speak to someone!

Avoid Agoda
What they state on the search page regarding price and breakfast etc is not what you get when you actually book your hotel. They also do not state whether the hotel is undergoing renovation or refurbishment until after you make your reservation (mis-selling and misrepresentation comes to mind). And then it is too late to amend or cancel your booking unless you decided to do pay extra for the flexible booking. Their customer service team, although nice people are not helpful due to their policies. I will never use Agoda again.

I downloaded the app because it promised a discount, but the discount miraculously disappeared after I had downloaded it. I will now delete the app and have booked my room with hotel.com even though it costs slightly more. I don’t like being cheated and vote with my purse. Own goal Agoda.

Dishonest app
Photos very misleading on most properties I have booked on Agoda in Thailand. Forced to pay more on arrival also. Very disappointed and will never use again. Should be illegal.

Changing prices
I think the app works ok but one minute you give me prices per day without tax and the next time I use it it’s gives me a price for the whole stay with taxes. Strange.

GIVING EVERYBODY A HEADS UP DO NOT BOOK WITH THE TRAVEL COMPANY
**AGODA**
1st night of arrival in Bali we were left stranded as we booked via their website.
When we arrived they told us no booking confirmation had come through and they were full.
So we were left in the middle of no where at 3AM searching for a place to stay for 1 night with all our luggage.
Luckily the Balinese are really nice people and someone helped us out in a homestay.
I thought maybe the booking was a technical error or the accomodation’s fault perhaps.
We didn’t realise it was a SCAM.
I also booked through AGODA a luxury villa which was on a 20% discount as one of their special weekly deals.
It was supposed to be pay on arrival but they still wanted to secure booking via ‘my card details’
They then took money from my account, Overcharged me more than double my original overall payment for the booking.
THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AHOLD OF.
NO RESPONSE TO MY MESSAGES AND NO VALID REPLY BACK EMAIL EXISTS ON THEIR WEBSITE.
FRAUDSTER COMPANY IT SEEMS
At first their reviews on the apple app was 5 star and they look legit on their Facebook
BUT SINCE DOING MORE RESEARCH,
IT SEEMS EVERYBODY IS GETTING SCAMMED BY THEM.
How can a company get away with this?
I know I have a lot of friends on Facebook who have Liked the company’s Facebook who must get their updates on the newsfeed.
STAY AWAY, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SPEND IT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY AS THEY HAVE IN SMALL PRINT NO REFUNDS.
Can I get them done for fraud?

Very poor service
Booked a hotel through agoda. However the hotel was next to a nightclub and my room was vibrating with the noise.
I had taken a video with a glass of water to show the vibration. On the phone to agoda the customer service agent was struggling to hear me due to the noise.
Agoda told me the hotel have a room and thats all thats in the contract. I was willing to pay for another hotel somewhere else but it was 12am in luang prabang, Laos. I asked if they could help me with a hotel that still had a reception open. Agoda told me thats my own problem.

Best Hotel Booking App Worldwide
I love Agoda. Unlike some of its competitors (ahem- Booking.com) if there’s ever a problem with a booking Agoda sorts it out quickly and with as little hassle as possible.
They often have the best deals of any booking site AND they serve the whole world. A lot of hotels in Asia, for example, are only available on Agoda.

Agoda overcharged me
I booked 2 rooms for my friends and I in Amsterdam and I agreed to the set price listed. Upon my return, I checked my bank and I was charged an extra £20! And it took some time on the phone to get my money back! Agoda is a SCAM. They were probably hoping I wouldn’t notice. What I did notice was unusually positive reviews for Agoda, all coming from Asia. They are dishonest. If a hotel price seems too good to be true, it probably is because they will overcharge when they think you’re not looking.

Trip within our stay
It was very easy to book with Agoda, had never heard of them until I was in Thailand. We booked a trip to Koh Chang as where we were staying was too quiet to stay for our whole 18 days. Prices are so competitive, beating all the long time hotel booking websites and apps. Would highly recommend
