I absolutely HATE these new Bitmojis, they are so ugly and so many people are turning them off because they are so ugly, so please Snapchat bring the old ones back, but also can you please stop having so many downgrades like when you press on an icon at the bottom they all used to be different colours, but now? Noo it’s all red. But why red? Not even yellow? Like it doesn’t look Ben match the colour scheme, I bet next time it updates it the icon of the app will be like orange. Also about my ai I absolutely hate it because why is it pinned at the top of my page and not my friends like it would be cool it I could unpin it and even cooler if I could unfriend it but even better if you guys could remove it altogether, but if you are saying that you need to put something in its place I have the best idea ever, what about Snapchat games!! I love snapchat and texting my friends and all that stuff, but i feel like the new update doesn’t feel like snapchat because i liked it without the new update. I’m not sure you could do this without the update but i’m pretty sure you could, on the avatar editor l, i cant spin my bitmoji around anymore and on snap maps the bitmojis have gone 3d which i think looks ugly but the bright side is that there’s halloween costumes and also i think snapchat should have more halloween costumes.

look, i really like snapchat. its a great way to chat with friends, to watch videos and to socialise with others. but all of these new, continuous ugly updates are seriously just not it. not just i, but EVERYBODY HATES THE NEW 3D BITMOJIS! why would you even think to make them 3d and ugly! and the ai bot is really creepy. once it literally posted on its story! and now on the snap map, all the bitmojis are also 3d. snapchat, you really need to stop making such ugly updates and need to pay attention to what people are saying. So basically, I only got Snapchat like in April for context but I really don’t like how they have 3D models now since they’re really ugly & creepy- like I would honestly prefer it if they used bitmojis since I find them really cute. I also think having the AI dreams might be a little bad since the art may or may not be stolen from other artists. But other than that, I think it’s pretty okay :)

Loved this application used it for 10+ years but the are awful dealing with problems. My ten year old precious account was wrongfully terminated for absolutely no reason, appeal denied and they device ban you without even a warning! I was wrongly hacked or reported wasn’t even on my phone when this happened. If someone is doing something wrong give them a warning not absolutely rip something so beloved from them. It is down right disgusting from Snapchat. Their customer service is shocking you cannot get through to anyone. I have begged and begged for my account back. Years worth of memories I can’t even download (they only let you download a YEAR) and I can’t even open ZIP files. For an app so sophisticated it is severely flawed. They give us one chance to appeal which most of the time is instantly denied. They cause extreme emotional turmoil by doing this to innocent users. I get why these terms are in place but at least warn your user not just rip something so precious to them away it is absurd. The app has gone completely downhill and I am aware of this due to being a loyal user it is very sad to see. I am working to get my account back but the continued bot responses and blunt responses is debilitating. Snap please sort your system out it is severely flawed you can’t do this too innocent users who haven’t done anything wrong and have always used the app as a main form of communication it is abused. My whole teenage years stored like a diary gone I am completely heartbroken and Snapchat does not even care. I wish it could be boycotted but as it is so popular it won’t be. I beg you before you download back up all your stuff one day it could just get ripped away from you for absolutely no reason. Sincerely an extremely upset customer.

You know something is messed up when a company makes you pay to REMOVE features.
Snapchat has gotten progressively worse, i’ve been using it since 2014, it used to be a simple honest messaging app, where the messages disappeared once opened. However, from all the ads, the sponsored “creators” on the “discover” page, and “spotlight” (which is yet another clone of Tiktok that literally no one asked for, except worse because it seems to be entirely clickbait and people making videos as long as possible to maximise the number of ads viewed), this is one of the worst social media apps around.
The final nail in the coffin for me was snapchat+, and now My Ai.
Snapchat+ is totally useless. There, i said it - No one wants to pay yet ANOTHER subscription for pointless features on what is essentially a messaging app. This is ludicrous.
So no one uses Snapchat+? Ok, let’s annoy people into paying for it. This is where My Ai comes in. My Ai is yet another gimmicky chatbot that has no real purpose, fine i thought, i just won’t use it, much like the rest of the app.
EXCEPT IT’S PINNED TO THE TOP OF MY FEED AND I HAVE TO PAY TO REMOVE IT? SERIOUSLY????
Also, WHY DOES IT KNOW MY LOCATION, SNAPCHAT? I disabled location services, and cleared all my location history, and yet for some reason, it still knows where i am. If this isn’t creepy, i don’t know what is.
So yeah. Snapchat used to be great, it used to be a simple, honest messaging app. It’s now just another internet cesspool. Do yourself a favour and download Telegram instead, it’s totally free, has disappearing messages, doesn’t track your location, and is generally a much better app overall. I hope someone from snapchat reads this and takes it to heart. The app is a shell of its former self, fix it please.

i love snapchat and it is my favourite app to use but this new update is really disgraceful, first of all, the bitmojis are shocking and many people are turning them off due to how ugly they are so i would like if you could please go back to the old bitmojis where they didn’t look as ‘realistic’ but please keep the uggs as they make a nice appearance. secondly, i would like to report that ever since this update the texting feature in group chats has been awfully lagging and bugging you cannot even see the people’s names in chat or as they type until they send a message which is really annoying and to phone somebody you have to press on there snapchat profile and then press the call button instead of just pressing on chat and pressing the call button and i think this is awfully time consuming and annoying for people who prefer to go on chat and press the call button instead. i have also noticed that the app has been experiencing extreme glitching such as -not being able to hear people on call,pixelated photos,freezing images,slow graphics and also when typing it does not let you type correctly and i have found that it often bugs and you have to refresh the app for it to work correctly- snapchat was fine on my phone before hand and i have come to the conclusion that this is from the update so please can you fix this issue

I have always loved snapchat, I've had it since I was 12 but it all started going downhill since the first bitmoji appearance change. The 2D bitmojis were iconic and particular to snapchat which isnt identifiable on any other platform. Then they became 3D, and i really didnt like it at first because it lost what made it iconic but i adjusted because it didnt look bad but it was just made to look like the memojis on apple devices but now they have become so ugly and all the features look really fake and that they've had a load of botox in them and nothing you do will make it look right. The introduction if My Ai. That freaked us all out, I don't want an AI it is useless to me, either keep it to snapchat+ only or have it optional in settings. Moving the arrow to the left makes no sense because that's not how you open a chat if you half swipe on it. These changes have all been so unneccesary and have just made snapchat so much less fun for me. When I open snapchat now I just get annoyed and peeved, I miss 2019 snapchat and so many people agree. Take reviews into consideration. Look on tiktok once in a while, these changes are not for the better.

it has come to my attention that snapchat has stupidly made the bitmojis look rediculous, they’ve made them look very realistic honestly it’s scaring me. snapchat is probably my most used app and overall very good in my opinion but they looked a lot better before. half of tiktok will agree with me snapchat is a very friendly app (apart from nonces) where you can send snaps to people using funny filters and send voice messages, videos, and used to play games (yeah we’re also not happy you got rid of those too) and this bitmoji update has runird it, even opening the app and taking a glimpse at my bitmoji sends a shiver down my spine and they look 10x better without the freakishly long arms and wide eyes. thease are terrifying and i can scarcely sleep at night knowing my bitmoji looks like a skinwaker. please take this into account as i am not a happy bunny.

I used to love updating my bitmoji. The added features every update, the new clothes filled me with joy. I especially liked changing my hair when I got it done to match irl. Ever since this update I have cried myself to sleep every night. The bit mojis look horrible. I don’t want anyone to see them as I am so sorry embarrassed. It doesn’t even look like me. How can something 2D look more like a human than a 3D character. The 2D bitmojis looked sweet, 3D is somthing from a horror movie - especially the arms. And everyone agrees.
Specifically, the hair. I am a mixed race girl who has recently started the journey to become natural. I have stopped straightening my hair and have worn my natural hair, finally learning how to properly care for it and most importantly, keeping it healthy and avoiding unnecessary heat damage. But do you know what I get on snap chat? Horrible curly hair choices. Yes all the bitmojis look horrible but the curly hair just takes the mick. It’s ratty and NOT what curly hair looks like. Millions on black and mixed girls have to suffer with these ugly hair choices because there is nothing else. Do better Snapchat. FIX THIS!!!!

I have Snapchat downloaded on my phones for 3-4 years now and I loved it before with the blue notification colour(now it’s red) and I loved it when it was blue and I hate the red colour it’s just depressing I can’t lie!
Now they have updated the apps more and ages ago they took the games out that people use to play with your friends and I loved them so I think you should bring them back becuase most people used Snapchat for talking and playing games virtually with their friends

Honestly my favourite app, but I don’t like the ai and lots of people find it slightly creepy, so I think it would be good to have the option to remove it. I also think that this app is going slightly downhill, this is due to the fact that we keep having bitmoji changes. I think we can all agree that the 2D bitmojis were amazing, we all loved them, no problems. However, when the 3D bitmojis first came out we all hated them, but I think we had all just got used to and adjusted to them. But these new bitmojis are taking it too far. We all hate them, and can agree that it makes us look like horses that got ran over, like honestly I don’t know who came up with this horrible, disgusting update thinking it was a good idea, but it’s really not. Snapchat has been annoying recently, it notifies in the chat that I’ve taken a screenshot when I have not! It’s happened to some people only but not enough for people to know so It makes things awkward like how do I explain a screenshot that I didn’t take you can say your snapchats bugging but nobody actually believes it😡. Snapchat you must fix this issue it’s getting really really annoying and stuff like this can cause people not to trust you as you can be having important conversations. I have used Snapchat since 2020, I have added all my mates on it and it’s easy and simple. Although. Recently there has been some updates that are confusing and boring, such as, the bitmojis there was no need to change them we could see who was who better when they where 2d. You got rid of the games which was no need for if anything that caused things to go downhill. A lot of updates just don't need it. Why move the hang up button to the top? Why move the arrow out? Why show if we have screen shorted or screen shared a chat? And also why have a “delete after seeing” option on the chat settings. There is no need it’s Also dangerous. What if someone said something mean or important and it’s gone because they had that setting in so therefore no way of seeing it. Now as these opinions of mine are very negative I love Snapchat. I really do it’s help me add friends from school start streaks, let me remove people from groups which is very handy and a lot more. Me F85 and my Husband M76, we’ll call him Ronald downloaded this app two years ago as are grandchildren had it and we wanted to make sure they were safe. I quickly adapted to the app and made myself a ‘bitmoji’ that i loved and cared for. I have changed the outfit of said bitmoji over the years as-well as the hairstyle when i have changed my own. It got to the point where i would change the outfit every day to match my gods name own.
All days that i had the app i have been content with what my bitmoji looked like, to the skin tone and hair to the shoes and outfit. I of course aways added my straw hat as i wear it everyday on the farm. But when i woke up a few days ago, i went on snapchat and was absolutely jumpscared by my bitmoji, i had the reaction of one who had jumped of a donkey to escape from a turtle-back lion! Please fix this problem now! I cannot stand my bitmoji any longer. I’m too scared to even open the app now, i shiver in my seat every day i text my grandkids good night because of my bitmoji. God did not intend for that atrocity to be made. He did not die for your sins for that to happen.
Bring back the old bitmojis now. I hope you take this to consideration while you decide to remove them as it would be your best decision.

ive been using snapchat since like 2015 now and it's been really fun to use with the texting and snapping and stuff, and like it's good but there's just one thing, YOU DONT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO USE UR APP!
i understand that you probably feel you have competition with other social apps, however sometimes your changes to be more similar to them aren't a good thing and can make the app seem unoriginal or complicated
here are some things that had a negative reaction from ur target audience (mainly teenagers)
- getting rid of games, these games were so addictive and a simple search on an app like twitter would let you know that nobody wanted to get rid of those games nore were happy they were gone
- changing the bitmojis, they were literally fine 2d and okay when you turned them to 3d at FIRST but the new ones??? too realistic and they don't even feel like snapchat
- changing the way you get to stories, the fact you scroll now?? it's unoriginal as most apps used scrolling and tapping is a known feature of snapchat
- getting rid of voice effects this one was a random one but a lot of people miss it
so please if you could bring back old bitmojis and re add the games and stayed original promise you will get a really positive reaction from the majority of those who use your app and little to no negative ones.

This is my review on Snapchat ||WORTH READING!!|| Snapchat is a calling and texting platform where you can add friends and chat to them. The old Snapchat used to be amazing but it’s had a few downgrades. For a start, on old Snapchat there was a game platform, where you could play games by yourself, with friend, whoever, and that was quite fun until they got rid of it. The 2D bitmojis (avatars/characters) used to be amazing, then they updated it to 3D which made some people upset as people would say it made the bitmojis “uglier” and “weird”. They soon after added a feature where you can “half swipe” which is when you can read a message without it actually saying you’ve read it as Snapchat is a bit of a snitch as it says if you’ve been taking screenshots of your chats with the person, or if you’ve been screen recording. Apparently there’s been another bitmoji update recently which people absolutely hate , including me. Some of the hairs on the bitmoji look amazing but when you actually pick it the hair looks greasy and weird which has annoyed a few people, but overall Snapchat is my most used app and it very good! You can call with people, take videos and pictures which you can add to your memories, text people, send voice mails, you can also use filters which people love!

The company need to realise that sometimes simplicity does it best and that’s one of the reasons why so many people liked Snapchat. Snapchat is so easy to use and is by far my favourite app. I’ve had it for ages and had no problems. But, snapchat used to have cute 2D bitmojis until it had an update. The bitmojis became 3D and started blinking and moving. When you go to customise your bitmoji the models for the items are the old, 2D bitmojis. A new hair style came out and I like it. I put it on my bitmoji because it looked amazing on the 2D character… The hair was attached to the head and was just floating by its shoulders. It didn’t look attached to the bitmoji 😂 The texture and design is horrible on the 3D characters. I’ve had a good time on snapchat and would normally spend a lot of time on it to make memories, text my friends and post on my story. But recently my account got permanently locked for no reason, I decided to go on google to try unlocking it but that didn’t work. So then I decided to make an appeal and they told me it could take up to 30 days to review it. It’s been past 30 days, still says in review. The problem is i’ve tried to make a new account but says something to do with suspicious activity. So I’ve made a new account on one of my family members phone, it was going fine but I was missing a lot of my memories and friends I had on my other account. After a short time I got kicked out and says I have been locked.. Keep in mind I haven’t done anything that would normally get people locked. So I’ve decided to email snapchat and everytime i needed serious help I received an AI response which did not solve any of my problems, and reading most of these reviews other people would agree with me that this AI response does not help. Just saying don’t use snapchat to keep all your memories because you also could get permanently locked and will never see the memories you’ve taken with your friends, family, people who are no longer with you. Thanks Snapchat for no help, fix this device ban thing and get actual people to reply to emails instead of an AI response.

I’m disappointed since I loved Snapchat until recently since I got a new device a few days ago and logged into my Snapchat account on there until it randomly logged me out and said I was on a temporary ban, it passed 24 hours and has been a few days now. I’ve tried every method possible to try and retrieve my device since it’s not my account that’s the problem but logging into anywhere or creating a new account on this IPhone. The support team was also appalling because there’s very limited support and when I tried voicing in details what happened, it was more so dismissed and nothing was resolved. they just said that they can’t help on the subject so I don’t really understand what the point of support was if you don’t help your customers? I have so much precious photos on there that I doubt I’ll be able to get back now because of this error and I haven’t violated any terms so I’m just extremely upset, definitely need to fix the customer service and take the complaints more seriously

Other than that I’ve done nothing and it’s really upset me mentally because Snapchat was my comfort app, all my memories are on there that aren’t even saved to my camera roll, my eyes only, and my chats with everyone and due to being banned I’ve lost so many friends and it’s even made commutation hard in general and in my own relationship, I can’t even take photos with the filters or people I love. Having been with Snapchat since it genesis it started as a much more creative way to instant message friends. Since then, the addition of low quality news channels fraught with click bait, fake news and a torrential downfall of ads ruins the experience. Forcefully placing Snapchat AI at the top of message feed where my regulars get pinned lowers the quality and experience of the app in general.
Equally, as people grow up many wish to leave social media to become more productive within their life. Despite being awful, Snapchat channels are better than nothing when you have deleted all social media forcing you to delete Snapchat if you wish to cleanse your digital lifestyle. Many of my friends have deleted Snapchat for this exact reason.
I now only have it for the 1k+ Snapstreak that my girlfriend would be sad to lose. Aside from that single snap per day, I avoid it for the sake of being sucked into low quality content. It is understandable that monetisation is an issue, but being selective of the channels you promote is a must.

I've had snapchat for years, I'm not a fan of the 'streaks' that it encourages - like any other social media it's just another way to keep you using the app. I don't want to wake up everyday to just forehead or ceiling pictures. However removing streaks would anger many people, but I also think that the stories/feed page should be age-restricted or at least hidden with a button/arrow to view them. It's unpleasant that when I look at my friends' stories, I see ridiculous, childish, and sexualised "stories" resembling a tabloid-magazine hybrid. Also, and most importantly above all things, it would be perfect if you could hide snapchat shorts on settings or something. I deleted tiktok because I spent - wasted - hours away on it, and I don't want to have to delete snapchat too because I usually end up scrolling on the shorts. I know the feature isn't available in other countries yet, and I was much happier when it was that way on holiday, so please add a configuration to hide/unhide the spotlight page.

I enjoy using Snapchat as it my main source of communication with friends and is all and all fun to use. But a couple of days ago when I went to go on the app it said that I was logged out due to failed attempts or unusual activity which none of which has happened, and I’ve not been able to log in since as the same message appears. I’ve tried logging in on my laptop but it asks wether I want to reactive my account which I (of course) reply with yes but it simply reply’s with cannot re active account. I’ve reached out to Snapchat support but only get an ai response which does not help and is sent to every complaint and was not helpful to my pacific problem. Then I asked an ai automated conversation which told me to get hold of a more human automated response on twitter which did not help as it told me to go to Snapchat support then I replied that it doesn’t work well for me and it then told me it will not reply to my anymore. Please fix this because I need to get hold of friends and I would really like my account back. Thank you.

Snapchat is good for what it does however their customer service and tos is shocking my account gets locked perm I lost all my memories for something that’s so petty. 1 I made a joke to do with the can of coke, and then I get ban for using a vpn to protect myself from the internet stealing my data. Back to the customer service part it’s shocking I’m super angry because I explained what happened then all they do is send you to their website that shows their TOS / community guidelines. Which I’m already aware off. They then go oh my sorry we are unable to unlock your account since you got perm ban. Boom never to hear from again even when I replied saying if you gonna be petty by not unlocking my account cause you don’t want to. Atleast let me make a new account. Still ignored to this day I cannot use this app what so ever even when I try make new account I get error ss06 and it been nearly a week. If anything I am so upset with their service cause I recently lost my pet that has saved photos on my memories now all that taken away from 💔 strongly avoid this app!!!!!

I’ve used snapchat since they first came to be and its been my main way of talking to friends for a very long time and it’s great for socialising and having conversations I don’t mind the ai but there’s lots of people that don’t like it so maybe an option to remove it would be a smart move theres also major issues that are only getting worse one of them is the sheer amount of bots and fake accounts and another is the way they show disturbing videos at the top of discover of animal abuse even when i hide these accounts more just appear I don’t want to see this stuff and I'm sure lots of other people don’t either and then they went all greedy I understand the subscription thing with the extras and stuff but it was very underwhelming and when I seen they put the price up i just laughed and unsubscribed and charging £1 to recover a streak is just ridiculous and seems like a scummy way to bring in extra cash like they don’t make enough money from adds that by the way you can’t skip now and on a video you get every 5 seconds becomes extremely annoying and just makes people go off the video I hope things change but if they don’t i will end up leaving snapchat for good like lots of others have the only reason they have growing numbers is literally the bots and the weirdos trying to sell “content“

When I first heard that My Ai was going to be on Snapchat I had an uneasy feeling about it. As Snapchat said it acts as a friend to people who struggle to socialize to real people in real life. However, this totally contradicts the idea of making real friends as Snapchat is fooling them. Not only this but I have seen some disturbing videos on Snapchat reporting incidents where My Ai is locating them even without their location on. I have noticed some problems of my own. For instance, I have asked the Ai some knowledge questions and gives me the wrong answers MANY times. I would prefer that it would tell me it didn’t know the answer rather than giving me an inaccurate and completely incorrect response. I love Snapchat and will forever want to stay on it but please remove My Ai as it is completely irrelevant and isn’t needed at the top of my chat!! Snapchat sort out this issue before you lose many of your users including myself.

The new Snapchat update allows you to restore a snap streak once and me and my friends ran out ( 546 days .) I know it’s not the longest because some people have 1000+ but it’s more than a year so all the work for it to be lost. I restored it with someone because it sort of lured me in because when I lost it ,(43 days) it was telling me the new feature so I pressed it and it restored. The person is not on Snapchat anymore so it’s a bit pointless because it keeps telling me to restore even though it will just run out again. I’m a bit mad because I can’t restore it because it keeps on telling me to do that method and I can’t because I have to pay and I don’t want to pay just to restore the streak when I didn’t even see the timer. It says on the website Snapchat can not restore your request and the only way is to do that method. Everything else it okay and I know people will be a bit confused why I’m complaining about a Snaps streak but all I want is it to be back and it’s not that hard to restore it.

I am very frustrated with the latest AI feature. I feel quite uneasy about it being on my phone and especially the fact I have to be Snapchat+ to delete it. I’ve seen it’s caused much stress and controversy already from people discussing it on several other platforms. I’m worried about the information it can access from my phone, and it said it can’t see my photos but replied and even talked about something in the image when I sent one, which was very strange and made me uncomfortable. I can see why it can have positive impacts and could help people, but there really shouldn’t be a premium feature required to get rid of it. Why should I pay money to feel safe? The app is ok by itself but I’ve had no information whatsoever about the ai, and it seems very dishonest and manipulative of the company because I’m sure they are aware that a lot more people will now buy snapchat+, especially those who often worry about these things. What a horrible way to force people to hand over money, I’m not happy at all and would like this to change.

So I’ve had snap now for years and it’s been good, loads of way to communicate with friends family that could be across the other side of the world of just up the road to you. I’ve always found snap fun and interesting because it give you a chance to meet new people with the quick add section. The only problem here is the AI. I understand that Snapchat+ had this option before everyone and no one really understood it well at the time but Now it’s available to all users on the platform and it’s really creepy. I’ve only had it for one day and it just gives me the creeps. You say stuff to it and it says it likes to do this and that but how he’s an ai after all. Worst of all it ask specifically where you are and what you are doing like why does it want to know that? Worst of all Snapchat does not give you the option to remove this feature and I feel like it’s an invasion of your privacy if you don’t want it. I understand it’s there to ‘help’ but to some it isn’t and they would like to remove this option.

You know what yea I’ve had Snapchat for at least 10 years and I’ve always loved it and thought very highly of it as a social platform. However today that has all changed. I opened the Snapchat app, opened one message from a friend, and before I even had chance to reply I had a message pop up at the top of the chat screen from “My AI”. I have not received any information about this “new feature” directly from Snapchat, however I have read some very shocking things about it on other social platforms. I have not, at any time over my ten years of using Snapchat, consented to having this “my AI” on my account. Nore have i consented to it reading all of my messages, seeing all the pictures I send/ have saved to my account or for it to listen to me 24/7 even when I am not using the Snapchat app. Oh and the best part? You can’t remove “my AI” as a friend or block them or do anything about it, unless you PAY for Snapchat+ that is.
I am extremely disappointed with Snapchat for the way they have handled all of this. If this feature is compulsory to every account then why were we not informed of this before it being forced upon us. I have anxiety as it is and I don’t need to be sat here constantly worrying about things like this. If the issue of not being able to remove the “my AI” has not been resolved very quickly I will be deleting my account, which would be a great shame after 10 good years with the app

I absolutely love snapchat, it’s a convenient place to hold all my memories and let me relive them when the time of year comes back round i can chat with my friends and keep in contact with them, post stories to update my life etc but notice how all the things i’ve mentioned are the BASIC frame of snapchat. Things such as “My AI” are ruining the app slowly making it seem like a joke, further making the app more childlike slowly pushing teens away from the app which it is generally aimed at appealing to. Making all these changes are not positive more so inconvenient as it’s just another thing that users of the app need to get used to and it’s not okay. The only update that i believe was actually beneficial was front flash the rest of them are unnecessary i believe My AI should be an optional feature and the fact you have to pay to remove it is ridiculous it made more sense when it was only for premium payers we do not need this and if it’s not removable at least make it so we don’t have to have it pinned. Ridiculous. Please make the app what it once was it would appeal to everyone so much more people are now deleting the app and leaving reviews like this due to the changes you have made to the app, open your eyes and change it back.

I love using Snapchat for a number of reasons but I’ve only left 3 stars because it lacks one feature that I feel strongly it shouldn’t.
If you are the creator of a group chat, you cannot delete your group chat if it was made in error, nor remove people from it that have been added by mutual friends without your consent (EVEN if you have blocked the user that has been added!)
The only way you can stop a user having access to you if you are both in the same group chat (even when they are blocked and you are the curator) is to leave the chat.
Personally, I feel like this is a massive flaw in the app. I have been a teenage girl once and I KNOW that there are people out there who will utilise the fact that you can’t really fully stop a user that you don’t want to interact with you from interacting with you. I feel that it leaves a lot of room for cyber bullying and I don’t see any reason why it’s missing this feature other than sheer ignorance and stupidity? (sorry Snapchat).
Other than that I have a lot of fun on this app, but I would like more control over who can get access to my account (and my younger siblings’ accounts as they also use it!) and I feel like implementing a feature that gives you the option to properly manage your own group chats would be super beneficial.

I’ve had Snapchat for quite a while now and I’ve been building up streaks and my snap score. I’ve had such a enjoyable time with Snapchat and I’ve saved so many important photos on Snapchat. But ofc, all good things must come to a end and they kicked me out for no reason. I’ve tried and tried to get back in but my account got permanently locked. This isn’t the first time it’s happened ( well for me it is ) but I’ve been reading the reviews and it’s happened to others too. There was no given reason and I read the common reasons why peoples account get locked ( because ofc for me, there was no given reason bc I’ve done nothing wrong ) and I’m sure I didn’t do any of that. Don’t use this app to store photos.. I would also recommend getting a alt account just in case this happens to you. Please get back to me Snapchat, and give me back my account or at least tell me why I’m permanently logged out. If I get my account back I’ll leave a positive review ( since my time on Snapchat was pretty positive apart from when I got LOGGED OUT FOR NO REASON)

This is a really great app and an essential to have! You can chat to friends on there, watch their stories, watch fun videos, locate friends, take pictures with cool filters on and edit!
Filters:
There are so many different filters to choose from;basically anything you type. From faces to songs, Animals, animated things, and much much more!
Avatar:
You can also use bitmoji avatars to creat a cool profile picture that allows you to make it look however you want including clothes!
Chats:
You can quick add your friends and their friends using the quick add button and chat with them. You can send bitmoji type emojis or just regular ones.
Location:
You can decide weather you’d like your self to be located on the map allowing friends to track you. You can also change settings to only allow certain people and friends to locate you. You may also be able to locate them too!
Pictures and videos:
You are able to take pictures and videos on Snapchat! The best thing is, you can also edit them. Why not add some music, have a doodle, add some text on?

I like Snapchat because it’s a great way to talk and have fun with friends you know in real life or family members that you have on Snapchat added on to your friend list but lots of people who use the platform friend people they do not know personally and the people who do that just needs to be a bit more careful. I’m 16 and I think Snapchat is absolutely lovely to use for making groups with people you KNOW. Group wise I think you should use groups but add friends or family or friends that your other friends know so you can introduce yourself to them and become friends with your friends other friends but you do not have to do what I am saying because it’s a opinion and it’s just what I think. And I like also something else about the platform and that is the photo part of the app. I like that part because I love taking photos with my family and when I’m in town with my friends I love using Snapchat to take photos and put the photos I took on my Snapchat story’s and that’s why I give the platform a 4 star rating! Love this app and I actually had it from the very VERY beginning where you had to watch videos/adverts to get points to be able to send/watch snaps. Thank god that went. Anyway, nothing majorly negative to report apart from the video call/back button. They’re far too close together. And each time I want to go back out of a video, chat conversation or snap pic, I always end up hitting the video call button and end up randomly calling friends via the video call option. That needs to me moved to the other side. Either that or the back button needs moving. Apart from that absolutely no issues whatsoever. Great app for what it’s intended for. Oh and also, when I send a video, there needs to be an option to save that to chat and/or to my camera roll once it’s been sent which you currently can’t do as you just get the purple arrow with no options other than delete.

Snapchat is amazing because you can connect with your friends and keep in touch. There is also something called your snap score and you can find it on you page you can see how many snapchat photos you’ve sent to people and how many people have sent you them to ( mine is 1053 ). You can also find lots of funny and interesting videos down we’re it has a play button, it pasts the time and cores your boredom . You can also have a profile picture and change you outfit to whatever your heart desires and you can also see your star sign and so can everyone else! There are so many more cool features to explore but that would take forever to explain so I’m just going to say that ,
Snapchat is total free and all you have to do it click 3 buttons to download it is so simple ! So I advise you to download Snapchat and , why not ?!?!?!

look i like snapchat, i’ve used it from 2016 onwards, as i’ve grown up in secondary school it has basically been the main source of communication for everyone but omg can you please STOP MAKING THE APP UGLY
first you changed the icon and made it thick, then the 3d bitmojis, then how it flashes yellow when you take a video??? see i could stand that at an extent as snap was still basically the same app but now i’ve just seen you guys make it look like WhatsApp where you can change the background of messages ? it’s horrible (like 100k people agree if you looked on tiktok). Keep snapchat how it is, you’re making the app look ugly and make us just not like it, yeah make cool updates which make snapchat more fun like the flashbacks or the snapchat games, and how you guys fixed calling so i can text as i’m on call w someone, that’s what we want! not ugly updates which make us repulsed to be on snapchat, whenever a new one comes out everyone’s stories are just « omg this is horrible what have snapchat done » like i haven’t already seen it. god if i could update backwards i would. it has gotten to the point where so many of us have just turned off automatic updates and refuse to update the app, which isn’t good as it makes your big fixes and app updates useless. just keep true to your aesthetic and stop trying to make snapchat like other apps.

it’s kind of like a basic social media app that the majority of ppl have now. it’s got spotlight which is kind of like tiktok (which is now updated so you can comment on it), snap maps which is useful in case one of your friends is out with someone dodgy you can watch where they are etc and you can keep track of where your friends are on holiday etc which is kind of cool, filters which are cool (the only problem with it is some people don’t feel comfortable not using filters because it makes them fit the ‘standard of beauty’ but if your using them for funny filters to send to your friends they can be really cool), you make your own bitmoji which is really cool (ideally they would have more hairstyles for ppl with curly hair cos there aren’t many at the moment but it’s cool cos it’s got various religious headscarfs and different types of hairstyles and outfits and various body types which is v body positive), and then there is the basic chat feature which is like any other msging app. another thing that’s good ab snapchat is the streaks idea which is nice because it’s a really casual way of staying in touch with friends/ family without the wyd/ hru msgs which can be awkward. i’m constantly using snapchat and i think if you’ve got kids it could be a nice way to introduce them to using social media and how to be safer online. 10/10 app would just change a few things i’ve already mentioned.

I got this app quite a few years ago now and I LOVE snapchat. It’s a great messaging and entertainment app. You can chat to friends, even play mini games, scroll through spotlight and watch some shows and your friends stories on discover. The only thing I don’t like about the app is how promoted the filters are, which is changing the way you look. Also it can be bad for catfishing and self-esteem.
Apart from that it’s great! Also I really like how on spotlight the comments are more managed and at first snapchat had no comments at all, which I liked better to be honest.
But its a great app for people aged 13-17 and older. I have seen a lot of younger children get this app and.. PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR UNDER 13 CHILD HAVE THIS APP. there are quite inappropriate videos on the discover page so please just be aware.
Anyhow, this app is really good and I recommend getting it! ❤️

So my account was locked and I have lost memories from 2016 to now, i was hacked and couldn’t log in or uninstall the app for 2 weeks, then I tried to log in and it wouldn’t let me. I have had Snapchat for 6-7 years and have never broken any terms and conditions until I was getting email after email saying my account had been reported even though at the time I wasn’t able to log into my Snapchat account because someone had changed my password, so I tried to get my account back by emailing you and there was no answer no one ever got back to me so this is why I’m leaving a public review instead. I made a new account and had that for a few days but then that also got locked because I’m not allowed to make any other accounts. My friend recently got her account locked for no reason permanently and even though you say you can’t unlock permanently locked accounts hers got unlocked. I don’t see how this is fair and I would like a response.
