Experience
Overall had a great time. Lots to do onsite and plenty of food places.
Improvements needed on organising check in. Our parking was very far and no trolleys available. No one was available to help either.
Also Oyster bay accommodation was dirty and dated. No microwave provided in the kitchen.Not been hovered. Trash out in the walkway. The porter did clean it after I made an issue of it.

What a disappointment
We stayed at Butlins in February and the machine that takes the inflatables up top was broken and there was no late night at the pool also it closed at 4pm. We have 2 autistic boys and always took them later as it was quieter. We are staying he now 25-29th November and won’t be coming back again. The machine that takes the inflatables up top has still not been fixed and people with children are struggling to help their child up the stairs and roll the heavy inflatables up the many flights of stairs. Added to this the rapids are closed as the roller door won’t open and apparently can’t be fixed this week- what bad management, can you image if you had a shop and the roller door was broken, it would be fixed pronto but Butlins are happy to leave it shut. Let’s face it they will need less lifeguards so all good for them. Our autistic boys can’t watch the shows as they are too loud and they have no understanding of them so the only activities they take part in are the fun fair and the pool. Butlins seem to be taking less and less care of the splash zone and our boys were crying yesterday as the rapids are closed with no rush to reopen them. We wish we had never booked this holiday, we used to love it here but it’s no fun for our boys now

Hotshots Staff
Can I just say how fantastic your bar staff were today in Hotshots. I went to watch the Newcastle match and having ordered my first Desperado when I went to the bar to reorder the blonde lady already had my bottle out of the fridge and ready to pour! This continued with the other guy later on too. I work in the customer service industry and these two were exemplary, well done, I’m one very happy customer!

Play experience is ruining the app
The app is functional and normally easy enough to use. But with the opening of the play experience it’s really hard to get a feel of what’s on when as the timeline is just a wallpaper list of experience events.
Butlins - if you are listening, please add a way to filter out the play experience stuff , other than selecting shows

Awesome app
I went to Butlin's with a party of 2 adults and 2 children in the summer holidays. I had to download it because I needed the show tickets even though my mum had them. This app is great if you have a child as well because it’s easy to manage and you can access directions super quickly. Even if your not at the resort, it will give you directions to Butlin's and it will let you look at shows and activities during your stay. Overall, super awesome app and recommend for everyone in your party/stay. We also got to take a look at the details we had. Me, my mum, my mums friend and my younger sister went to Butlin’s. We got to look at our room/ looked at pictures on Google since we booked during last years stay, we got to see what dining plan we had and so much more.I also recommend the Wave Hotel if you have 2 children. It has a bunk bed with TV’s for each child and the main bedroom was amazing. (We didn’t have a kitchen since we booked for premium dining at the Deck but if you don’t have premium dining you will have a kitchen.)

Butlin’s Bognor Regis
Absolutely fantastic break with Butlin’s Gold apartment was spotless no issues at all ….. Bobby on the tots fair was amazing he had high energy and interacted with all the Childern. He honestly made the holiday that much more magical. Shows where the best yet , Bruno Mars tribute All stars , Electric wonderland and Stephen Mulhern . Electric Wonderland is not to be missed and far superior to electric city last year . Shame the soft play kept closing but great to keep on top of cleaning . Luca was the outstanding red coat this time splash and fair great as always .

As always such good value for money!
Rooms clean, entertainment for all and well organised.
My reason for 3 stars was with such an iconic racial era of a film like Dream girls, to only have a Caucasian cast singing (in all permformances) was a bit outdated. For any woman of colour, Dreamgirls the movie has so much more messages than just the music and it would have been nice for black musical culture to have been represented accordingly. It was like a black woman performing Dolly Parton or Lulu, wasn’t comfortable to watch and the audience appreciation at the end of Dreamgirls kind of highlighted this. In the current climate the world is diverse and has changed..maybe Butlin’s needs to keep up with it.

Been going to butlins for many years with my daughters, this year due to financial woes, I was able to book a weekend break which we recently returned from.
Throughout the week before the trip I did my best to book the hotel dining and even the dine around option, however was unsuccessful even on the day of arrival I was told I have no chance as everything was fully booked, I was surprised that the hotel dining was full, as I thought that the residents would have been catered for.
So seemed that the dining within the shoreline hotel wasn’t able to cater for all residents????
However as usual we enjoyed the entertainment and everything Butlins had to offer, and have booked again for next year which will be our 14th year in a row apart from the Covid year.

Fantastic family holiday
We have just got back from Butlins Bognor Regis and we had a fantastic time. All the staff were helpful and friendly from the soft play staff to all the red coats. All my daughters enjoyed there stay there ages range from 5, 16 and 19 but all were entertained, we didn’t even have time to visit the Beach.
We stayed in a basic silver room and it was very clean and beds comfortable way more than I was expecting.
The swimming pool was amazing perfect for little ones as has really shallow play areas for them and little slides also big slides for the older ones. The lay out was well thought out. Water was warm and my little one didn’t complain about being cold once( she usually does).
We went for the premium meal plan which was all nice and great not having to worry about cooking, definitely something for everyone’s taste, the roast beef on Sunday was so good.
Evening entertainment was so good and of course Stephen Mulhern topped it off.
I will definitely be going back I’m usually a Center parcs girl but I have been converted to a Butlins girl 🥰 so much more I could say all just Brilliant. Thank you Butlins

BEST HOLIDAY EVERRRR
Me and my mum went to butlins in April and it was THE BEST TIME EVER!! We got the silver room and it was perfect for 4 nights! The fairground was just pure amazing! I liked the one we’re you spin really fast and the other one were you like went up in the air and back down ( I’m not good at explaining things). The shows were great and I loved Goldilocks cause it was really funny and not at all like the fairy tale. The arcades were good as well but not gonna lie, the prizes were very repetitive, but were easy to get so I can’t complain. The swimming pool was my defiant favourite part of the trip and the slides were really fast! It went in my eyes and nose and made me feel sick but totally worth it. The first time I went on the slide I SCREAMED!!! So loud my mums ears popped! The floatie flume wasn’t scary or fast so I recommend that if your going with family. The food was so nice as well! I recommend the deck cause there food was excellent! I can’t wait to go back since I’m going for a entire WEEK with my FAV COUSIN!!!! I’m also staying in the ocean hotel next time!

Butlin’s truly think of everything for the kids and made it great for them
We had the only issues when it came to food. Our nephew was sick at the one venue, it was covered in blu roll and was left, we were told to continue our meal
Following day went to the diner, was told a 45 min wait once order is in (that’s fine), took 15 mins to seat us and then 35 mins in, still not had a drink order taken
We left the park for food for the remainder of the time then

Lovely break away.
We have just got home from a break away at Bognor. We had a great time! We stayed in the new style silver apartments and they were clean and tidy and perfect for what we needed for a base to stay. My two boys got to do all activities they wanted and so much more. Every day was full on. I was very impressed with how staff were very accommodating to my younger son who’s severely Autistic. Especially James at Aerial Adventure who was so patient with my son and understanding and John who was working at the arcades in the skyline who made sure some toys were added to the grabbing claw machine so my son could try to win one as a character he wanted to try and win wasn’t in the box so John added a couple for him to try and win. The kindness from both James and John I can’t thank enough as they helped make my sons first experience of Butlins so good. Thank you. We look forward to returning again.

Absolutely fantastic…… loved every minute of it !!!
So well organised, from the minute you book it, to arriving on site.
This holiday camp caters for all ages ( jammed packed with things to do) The entertainment at Bognor is “easily equivalent” to the shows in the west end, and every one works so hard, from the chalet maids to the red coats, and from the bar staff to security.
It’s such good value for money, and I cannot wait to go again !!! Thank you for making this a fun week 😁🙌🙌🙌😍😍😍

Butlins queue is too long
We had a lovely time at Butlins the only thing I didn’t agree with is how early people start to queue up before a show starts, people are queueing at before 3 and the Show didn’t start till 4.30 I think they should be told to go away and come back maybe 4 o’clock to give everyone a fair chance instead of being stuck at the back all of the time.

Brilliant Break!
Just back from Butlins with my family. My girls are 1 and 3 and my nephew is 5. They loved every minute of it. They were all in tears leaving.
The staff are lovely and helpful. Food was lovely. We had a food package booked in the Yacht which is well worth the money! The main guy who shows you to your table in there was so friendly and helpful!
My youngest daughter fell while we were there and cut her head. The first aid lady was called and came straight to us and took us all to the first aid room. I don’t know her name but she remembered my daughters name all weekend and when she saw us over the weekend at different times she would ask how she was.
The only negative I have is the apartments need some love! We booked a gold apartment to sleep 7. We had plenty of space but it was not very clean! The minute we got there the kids found a teddy, a slime ball, hair rollers, hair clips, money (loose change) under the bed.
The pack states the apartments are Covid safe but the apartment had definitely not been cleaned thoroughly. When we showered the tray filled with water, hair and dirt so we called the helpline and the maintenance man came straight out and emptied it.
The cupboard doors in the kitchen are hanging off everywhere needs a lick of paint but other then that an amazing weekend. We will defiantly be back!

Swimming pools and fairground rides galore but you can’t beat a Butlins show!
I’ve been coming to Butlin's since I can remember. It has always held a special place in my heart and I try to come back as much as possible. There’s so much to do for all ages but the shows are really the cherry on top. This break we have seen as many as possible, with Superstar DJ and Diversity being our favourites so far. Butlin's really do go that extra mile and we will happily come back for many many years to come.

Butlin’s July 2021
Wow! This was such an amazing break away! We were lucky with the weather (which was sunny and hot) and the food was great in all the restaurants we went to! Loads to do for the kids, which can add up but you don’t have to do the extras, as the swimming, funfair & shows are all included! We were really impressed with all of the entertainment and there was something to do every evening. We stayed in a Wave Hotel apartment, which was lovely and had such a good time! All in all, just a great all round family holiday! Love Butlin’s ❤️!

Having had a fantastic stay over the weekend. I wanted to provide feedback for a member of staff called Paul Haywood who works out the fun fair activities.
Everytime we saw Paul he was extremely helpful, polite and courteous. He could never do enough and I could always see that his mind was on the safety of my children on the line.
He is a real asset to have working for your company.
Peoplw are so often quick to criticise but should provide positive feedback too.

Making New Memories
I used to visit Butlins threee times a year with my family and so many great memories and wanted the same for my daughter’s and I wasn’t disappointed.
They did so well with the COVID restrictions. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for them. Every meme er of staff was so polite and friendly. The red coats are slightly different from what I remember when I was a little girl but not sure if they’re restricted from what they can do?
Yes we didn’t get to book everything and we missed out on a few things but for what we are all having to deal with they did a fantastic job and we came away happy and can’t wait to book for next yea. Wish I could afford 3 times a year but prices are a lot higher then they used to be.
Just need to get I. Touch with them about money due back for changing my dining plan. I’ve been struggling so far but hopefully they won’t disappoint with their after care

This app should be great, I can see what’s on, I can use the map BUT the favourites tab isn’t working and the itinerary - well, what is that supposed to do? You can’t book directly from the app and a staff member at Butlins today said that any bookings made with them (for things for my little one to do) don’t show in the itinerary anyway.

Itinerary & favourites function broken
When trying to add activities to the itinerary it comes up with an error message “oops something went wrong”. When you add an activity as a favourite it won’t be saved when you go back into the app next time. Looking at Twitter they have been aware of these problems since 2018, which gives the impression they aren’t willing to invest in maintaining a potentially very good app. Such a shame.

Amazing time at butlins Skegness
This app has helped me thoroughly throughout my holiday in butlins in Skegness this summer! Whenever I have wondered what entertainment is on next, or whenever I want to know when entertainment is on, I just know that I can turn to this app! I am leaving tomorrow which has upset me but at least my experience here in butlins has been amazing and this app has helped me thoroughly. Another reason was that when I was on the way here I didn’t know what restaurants and food places they had here because I had been to the Bognor one but never to the one here in Skegness! Happily I had literally just downloaded this app and I was looking through it and there is a section on the app where it says dining and you can click on that and it will tell you all of the restaurants and food that is available here! I think that there was an amazing variety of food here and I would defiantly recommend it here at butlins Skegness. And again thanks to this app I was allowed to see what times entertainment was on and what was on! Again thanks and I will be coming back here again! Kind regards 😃

Next year at Butlins minehead can you please put doodle jump or rabids into the ticket shop where you exchange your tickets please or can you just put more known brands into the ticket shop and can you get better stuff to go in the prize claw that goes round and round then it will attract more people to the claw machine and more people will play on it then butlins will get more money from the machine it is a win win so please make these changes.

Fantastic
I really don't see why this app gets such terrible reviews . It certainly works very well at the Minehead resort . We stayed last summer for a week and a week at Christmas and both times it worked really well . If nothing else it has telephone numbers for Security etc in case of emergency on the resort and also the map .I don't normally review apps but I felt the criticism this app has been receiving is unjust .

Great up-to-date info app!
I downloaded this app because I'm off to butlins later this week. This app is a really great way to easily access up-to-date information about what's going to be happening during my stay! Not only that, but I'll no longer have to carry around a booklet with the same info on, plus another with the map on. Great idea! Highly recommend downloading!

Top Hol App
Not sure why some have struggled. Used at the Skegness resort and was spot on from the 'Whats on' list to restaurant menus and other useful info including an age suitability guide to shows. Great app well thought out and very useful. You can even call or text direct from the app to customer services or site maintenance.

Great idea poorly executed
Love the idea and when it works its great.....however
I've experienced things not showing when there on and worse of all, it continually wants to update. When your in minehead with no mobile signal, thats a problem. When it can't update it doesn't show anything apart from the map, essentially making it useless.
I hope Butlins sort this app out as its got the potential to be brilliant, imagine if I could book and pay for events on site via the app.

Great App!
A great app, really useful if you are visiting Butlins. Everything seems to work fine. I used the app when we went on holiday last May, and the 'whats on' listings worked good. I'd reccomend this app to anyone going on holiday to Butlins. Overall, a really useful and good app!

Could do better
Useful enough but iritating to have to select resort every time u open the app.
Also some info incorrect. Coast and South Coast restaurants (2 different restaurants) given same location on the map (for Bognor).
Activities disappear from view the minute the start time elapses. Would b more useful if it disappeared after the end time elapses (A few times I was running late for something but as it has already started, I then couldnt see where it was as it has disappeares from the itinery).
Would still recommend having the app. With some tweaking, cud b very useful and irradicate the paper version offered on arrival.

Not to be trusted
Despite the first stated selling point is that it will give you up to date information and so never miss an event; it will not. It's just an electronic version of the printed diary of events you get on arrival. Any subsequent changes or cancellations are not detailed, even though it tells you it is updating every time you use it.
It would also be less annoying if it remembered your resort selection rather than having to tell it each time the app is opened.

Don't rely on this for info
Timings are out by at least half an hour, it also doesn't tell you which activities need to be booked. Not a major problem until you end up with a very upset child because the event you've turned up to is fully booked and you're unaware that you need to book in the first place because you relied on this app! How difficult would it be to add a star or something at the side of bookable activities??
Like someone else said it also reloads each time using bandwidth....
Not fantastic to be honest. Would give it a Miss and use the paper guide you get when you check in. Much easier and faster

Must do better!!!
With the potential to be an essential companion for visitors and sales tool or prospective guess, this leaves a lot to be desired.
- Seems to have no cache and takes ages to update every time the entertainment tab is opened (currently seems to be broken altogether as it just crashes out).
- the map is missing any useful key so becomes almost useless if you want to find anywhere.
- some key shows are missing from the entertainment listing
- the entertainment lists a location but don't link to the (next to useless) map which just leaves you guessing and frustrated
On the plus side, the direct phone numbers are very useful as is the ability to add events straight into you calendar (which nearly makes up for the appalling speed and lack of cache).
Come on guys, use the potential and make this a must have app!

Worked perfectly
Worked perfectly during our recent trip to Bognor, allowing us to plan what to do before we left home! We didn't have to use the paper brochure, which was handy since it is one of the first things that gets lost!

Struggled with this one
Thanks for the 24 hour time tip- works now I have changed this. Really like that you can add events to your iPhone calendar directly from the app.
Bognor Butlins has a good 3G signal and horrible wifi- have managed to use the app with 3G in the Ocean hotel and all over the pavilion, but have only successfully logged into wifi a couple of times on my phone- NetBook finds it perfectly.
Perhaps Butlins should iron out these little issues before the publicise this app ALL OVER EVERYTHING!
