"Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is a vast magical world where you are honored with the crown of a tiny fairytale kingdom. When you become the head of the country all the responsibility for the land's prosperity rests on your royal shoulders. You will have to fight various enemies and monsters, explore new territories, manage economic and scientific developments and solve a heap of unusual and unexpected tasks. For example, what will you do when all the gold in the kingdom transforms into cookies? Or how will you bring back the trolls who robbed caravans and whose disappearance ruins the economy of the country?
The core feature of "Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim" is that you cannot control your citizens directly. There are a lot of heroes in your lands: valiant warriors and warlike barbarians, powerful wizards and grim necromancers, industrious dwarves and skilful elves plus many more. But all of them live their own lives and decide for themselves what to do at any moment. You are able to issue orders but heroes will follow your commands only for a sizeable reward.

This game is an absolute blast, I love it.
Wish you could resurrect your fallen heroes more easily, and the sound effect quality is pretty bad, but its still a great game

Excellent, good play for days.
I finished the campaign. It was great entertainment. Without purchasing anything, the game is playable, the opponents not impossible to defeat although on two occasions, it was pretty tricky. Good and not overcomplicated set of characters, weapons and enemies. Game progress is reasonably fast, building speed is not unbearably long. A level can be finished in 1-2 hours (except the tricky ones). Great great game. Also the campaign has different objectives, different limitations on each level so it was not repetitive nor boring. A lot of rules and info were not stated clearly, thus keeping the reference short. This is a good thing, one learns about how things work from trying and forum discussions. Everything is pitched just right. Highly recommended.

Good but sometimes awkward and hard
Very addictive but a bit awkward to place buildings at times. Money build up is slow too. That said very satisfying when elves, goblins, harpies, and other beasties bite the dust and levels are completed!

Could be better
I started really liking this but after half a dozen mission it gets quite dull and slow. Lack of ability to move characters is a shame just setting a flag they can all congregate to is a bit of a cop out. Also some objectives a not objective, eg investigate minotours and dwarfs conflict then results in fail for not taming minotours. This is not the objective. Graphics nice but delivery needs work. I would redownload if improvements were made.

Good game!
I haven't yet got past the easiest levels, but those levels I've played on 'pacifist' level I've enjoyed. I had some difficulty getting started, but now I've learnt the mechanics of the game it works well.

An old favourite just as good on my IPad
I was pleased to see this game....whilst it not quite the same it is a good port of the PC version... Hope to see more in the Add on as I really enjoy playing this.

This latest update to the IOS version has now added a skirmish mode, which elevates the mobile version to the same level of greatness as the original PC version. Endless replay ability and classic gameplay in your pocket - what more could you want? I would only ask for a way to make the text bigger, but other than that perfect - this is my favourite IOS game.

I remember playing this years ago on a desktop.
This conversion is just as good.
It's a pity that other strategy games on the ipad aren't as different from each other as this one is.

Great take on the strategy sim with a few minor niggles
Pros: easy to learn, intuitive interface, nice graphics, play one more time addictivness
Cons: placing buildings can be annoying as the screen keeps trying to centre! No ability to switch the music off.

Great rts. Perfect for iOS
This is a remake of an old pc game but it's a damn good one, working perfectly with touch controls and perfectly playable on the iPhone.
The graphic are just great. Sure they arnt all 3d with bleeding edge effects but the graphical style works great and suits the game.
The sounds are decent enough. They do the job and there's some catchy music in there to.
The gameplay is slightly different to other RTS's. You build your town and you build hero's (your attack units) but you don't really control what they do. They go about and do there own thing (buy items, spells, go on quests, find treasure etc etc). You can however place bounties on enemies and place down explore markers with rewards on them. This encourages you hero's to do what you want but isn't a guarantee.
It actually works really well and is a refreshing change from the standard RTS affair. The missions are also surprisingly varied.
A must buy from me for any RTS fans.

Found a bug on dwarfs vs minitor level just closes on me tried 10 times and restarted phone and re downloaded it still bugged :-(

Room for improvement, but addictive and fun!
I played this game for hours on end. Great app with addictive gameplay. It has great potential, more visuals would be nice and it is hard to place buildings because you have to guess where to tap!
Maybe a grid system where you can slide it about.
An endless mode would be nice?
Also I think changing the name to be shorter and more relative to the game would massively improve its popularity.

Great fun
Excellent game - enjoyed it on the Pc about ten years ago and loving it on the iPhone 3GS now - well designed and implemented, saves game properly and is still as challenging and immersive as it always was!

One of the best iPad games
Really really good game. Ignore reviews from people who can't go past tutorial, they shouldn't be allowed to play games like this any way!
I'd give 6 starts for the gameplay, story and originality (even though it's not *really* original as this is an old game import from PC). However I ended up giving 4 stars because:
- needs more maps;
- needs more detailed help/compendium. For example, very hard to figure out what exactly a statue does or what are the magic added when upgrading a temple or wizard tower.
- need more explanation about the points system, i.e. how points are calculated, thresholds for silver / gold medals etc.
Please fix this in a future version and this would be top 3 iPad games.

It's ok,at first I loved it but now I'm up to the level where it says get all gold medals so I try and it's impossible to get gold on some of them (on easy)because of your stupid soldiers, u tell them to kill something they don't even respond and the only way u can get a gold medal is that if u finish the level fast and it's incredibly hard when they don't do what u want so make them more responsive and add a skirmish mode

Majesty for iPad
Is there any way to get out of the tutorial and into this game? I keep going around in circles!! It only gets 1 star because there are no zeros and no negatives available - or it would be minus 5!! I'm ready to delete it unless someone comes up with a way to make it playable.

I wasn't sure at first because of the price but then I got it eventually and I have to say I do love this game and so far I've spent hours on it. If you love strategy/sim/RPG then get it now. The only bonus could be having a kind of sandbox endless mode with a few more add-ons but perfect the way it is.
