No sense Customer service. Disappointed.
I didn’t use the app at all and I just sow they took 30 pounds from my bank account because of the subscription. I m not using the app from ages, and I just ask the redound. Isabella from the customer service just says “Ok I will delete your account and remove you from the mail list but you can’t be refunded”. So 2 days ago I payed 30 pounds for a service, and today I can’t be refunded but they deleted my account as I asked. What can I say? Enjoy my 30 pounds TeamstarNow,have a pizza in my honour.
That’s a very bad way to make money from an app.
Totally disappointed.

Subscription to apply to jobs
It’s most definitely me not being more vigilant about it. However they expect about £26.99 for 6month subscription which isn’t bad at all being only a fiver a month. Although if it were made more obvious that the payment is compulsory then I’d have been ever grateful.
Besides that nitpick the app is well optimised, runs good on 5s and looks very useful even though I’ve had little use.

Definitely recommend
As a beginner i felt like I had to join an agency but after joining this I felt like I could do it as a freelance too. Some jobs you do need to be more than a trial membership but the payment methods are decent and not at all bad.

Suggestion
Thank you for this app. Is there a possibility of separating unpaid work from paid so that a free version can be provided to those seeking non paid (expenses only) work. It would be fairer to those who aren’t going to compensated

Loyalty has no promises
So i lost my bank card and haven’t had the chance to update mist of my payments but after making constant payments for almost 5yrs i would have thought 1 miss payment would have shut down my pro account. No prior warnings and the one email i have states I shouldn’t worry. Well i am because i was going to apply to a job which Starnow has a lack of and to get greeted by that message have put me off using this service. I’m breaking up with you starnow!!

Improvements
It’s an excellent app, very easy to use and has helped me find various jobs.
There are some things that would improve it greatly if it’s fixed:
-When I submit applications, the screen shakes as I type which is very disorienting and makes it difficult to use.
-and MOST IMPORTANTLY, it would be extremely useful if when a casting professional requests us to audition for something, the notification is present within the app as well. I receive a notification but then when I go on the app it disappears, and I’m left having no idea what it was the casting professional requested me for. Please fix this.
Overall I love using the app, and I would recommend it to anyone in the performing arts industry.

Good but...
It’s good however it’s too much money basically the more Money you pay the more Likely you are to be cast which goes against everything I believe. On the other hand this app gives great opportunities for anyone starting out the fact that it costs too much is really the only bad thing. Also anyone who thinks this is an agency is wrong it’s not it’s just a quick way to get work please lower the prices it would be 1000000 times better and loads more people would get it

All my life I’ve tried to use my talent for singing, acting, writing, and even art to become known, but life handed me many situations that had to come first. Now I’m old, but my brain is still active, and my files are full of songs, poetry, stories. Are they going to be consigned to the rubbish heap or be recognised?

Excellent for beginners like me
This website/app is quite good, especially for beginners: lots of opportunities to enhance one’s presence, good use of social networking capabilities, loads of free stuff which helps someone building up their portfolio and working experiences. Got a speaking paid part days after joining! Will see how it goes - to confirm my first impression.

As you can see MANY complaining about subscription
This company are scamming people for money by signing you up to a subscription service that will bill you every 6 months.
They DO NOT make this clear on sign up, and as you can see from many others who have left reviews, that even if you DO cancel subscription they will keep billing you.
They refused to refund me the money they stole from my account - I haven’t even used them since October 2017.
Read plenty of other reviews about how they won’t cancel subscriptions and won’t communicate with you about it and just take your money.
STAY CLEAR of this sham of a website.

I unsubscribed through iTunes & App store long time ago, and surprisingly they just now took £30 out of my account!!! I’m not even subscribed! It’s not in my subscription list and I they just took out my money... emailed them and asked for a full refund but didn’t get a response. How can I get my money back now??? Rubish

Variety of roles and a great community but you have to pay extra every time you want to send something extra as an application as well as paying a subscription fee eg. To send a pictures.

Useful, needs more control
Love having a dedicated app, but just a couple of things would make it great. First, when notifications come through, a central location to look back on these would be great. This would also mean less need for both an email and a push notification. Having more analytics embedded in the app would be great too

I can't sign into this app for love nor money! It tells me I can login with FB details so I do that - it tells me I need to enter my name yet there's only an email field...try to do it on the website instead of the app and that's just as bad. What a joke! I've logged in previously and want to be able to get back in so I can see my details...

Great for beginners
Brilliant app for those at the beginning of their career. Yes it's many low paid/expenses jobs, but compared to the yearly fee you pay for spotlight, what can you expect?! App is good, easy to use and lets me send messages quickly. Does crash after prolonged job searching though.

Absolute CON!!
Firstly it's rubbish, you don't get any proper job offers, you only find fake casting or fake model agencies. Secondly the app is basically just trying to make money from a hard working individual, it'll even charge you to upload photos!!!! Lastly they still haven't refunded my £30 after trying to cancel membership several times. My advice to any other young model and actor is to never pay anything to anyone, if it's legit you won't need to pay so don't waste your money.

A great site, not a rip off at all with something for everyone from an audience member to a lead actor for tv/film/theatre. I've tried a few and I'm even on Spotlight but StarNow gives it a run for its money!!
