Great magazine, TERRIBLE app!
All of my previous purchases have disappeared, and will not restore. The current issue cannot be purchased, no price is shown, and I just gives a ‘can’t buy this’ error!

Do not buy digital copy only physical hard copies
Worst online magazine, can't access current paid magazines or any from 5 year subscription that I paid for, iTunes won't refund and all the original issues that I loved have been deleted by maxim, the only online magazine to delete magazines on the server! Lost £100's or $1000's

Not working
Paid via iTunes for a years subscription and managed to download 3 months only with new issues asking for another payment. Tried what the help options suggest in restoring issues but still no joy.
No email or contact details to be able to sort this. Will have to contact Apple to get refund

Broken!
downloaded issues have disappeared and iTunes subscription is no longer recognised. Update looks nice but it's removed all my content and I now feel ripped off. Please sort it out and restore my content.

Rubbish.
Deleted all my issues on update. Can't access my subscription I have had for several years and also deleted issues I now can't reload.
All together a shockingly poor update and service.

iOS8 issues
The magazines are excellent. I have no complaint about them whatsoever about them. The 3 stars are for the app and its lack of stability on iOS8. It usually takes around 3 to 4 re-a launches for the magazines to open properly. Sometimes, they just sit there with the little circular timer spend naming around forever. We need an update for the new OS.

The iPad (is it?) version
I'm not pleased with the Maxim app for iPad. So, what's wrong? Few things: I don't like when a photo is divided in two pages and I can't see it together, just have to swipe through (with big black hole between).
Secondly only main page of an article lets you to make the text disappear. I want to see all the photos without text! Just the ladies!
Thirdly why do I have to go to Maxim's web page in order to see more pictures or a video? Other iPad magazines allow me to swipe through few pictures in article and the videos are opening directly, without opening additional window with browser.
Maybe I was just expecting too much interaction? I'd doesn't change the fact, that I do like Maxim =]

It's not a bad app and magazine, but it is not the British version, so it is tame and articles refer to USA.

Maxim Magazine, buy the print edition.
The magazine itself takes quite some time to download. The April issue file size was 232mb and on my 100mbps connection, it still took 10 minutes to download, at the third attempt that is. I have had this magazine freeze twice while downloading. Removing and installing the app is the only way to get the download moving, from the start again.
This is the US version of the magazine and probably worth £1.49 an issue but not a penny more. The magazine text on the new iPad (3rd gen) is very pixelated, though the photos appear crisp enough. The file size is larger than other magazines of similar page count, and as said the text and pictures are of lower quality, especially when compared to a magazine like Total Film.
I could walk drive to my local shop, buy the magazine and return home before this downloaded and for this reason I would recommend buying the print issue, especially if you have a tight
Data plan.

Ridiculous download time
The file size is so enormous, it takes forever to download, and often not successfully. I'm furious I subscribed to this total waste of money. The publisher should look at focus magazine, the guardian or 'once' tosee how it should be done. No excuses, update now.

Older version worked perfect, this version totally rubbish.

Not great.
The older maxim apps worked flawlessly but they no longer are supported. I now have a subscription with this one and should not have bothered. It will not download even the previous months edition and often the server is off line. Was hoping that the update would have sorted things but I'm feeling like my subscription has been wasted.
