Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced powerlifter, Strong provides everything you need to record your workouts as effortlessly and as quickly as possible. Unlike other fitness apps, Strong doesn’t bog you down with distractions and unnecessary gimmicks you’d never use.
Strong is optimized for a progressive barbell routine such as Starting Strength or StrongLifts 5x5, but it is easily adaptable to any other routine of your choosing!

The free version of Strong can save unlimited workouts, but is limited to 3 custom routines. Upgrade to a Strong PRO subscription ($4.99/month or $29.99/year) for an unlimited number of routines and to unlock additional PRO features.
Strong will automatically charge your iTunes Account at the end of your subscription or free trial period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of your current period. Subscriptions renew at the original price. You can turn off auto-renew at any time and still receive full functionality until the end of your current period, but no refund can be provided for unused portions of the subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
If you’ve previously purchased “Unlock Strong” or “Strong Combo Pack”, you’ll be able to use the Restore Purchases option in the app for access to all Strong PRO features.

Great app!

Great app, very useful - especially with a watch, don’t even need to take mp phone out of my pocket!
Had an issue with creating more programmes - emailed support and all sorted within a few hours by Catharine - that’s a proper service.

Great App but Apple Watch issues

Best workout out app out there, very flexible and user friendly. But recently bought an Apple Watch but the app just won’t save workouts, very frustrating!

Really useful

Great app, gave up looking for this sort of app, searched again and found this and couldn’t be happier with it. Easy to record your lifts and it tells you your previous lifts and when you set a new personal best. Won’t be changing app

Helpful app with the best Apple Watch interface

I love Strong and I am using it almost every day. No need to pick my phone; just stay focused and concentrated in the workouts. These update very quickly and the app is non invasive but extremely supportive. More exercises will arrive I am sure and the it will be unstoppable. I highly recommend it.

Transformational

This app is a must for anyone really looking to improve in hypertrophy or strength gains. It allows tracking of so much more than just what you lifted. It allows you to set routines, splits, rest periods, notes your latest lift on exercises so that you can see your last weight lifted (if you’re looking for true overload then this is crucial).
My PRs have soared since I have used this app, including weight PRs on Squat, bench and deadlift, with REP PRs also on most of my other lifts.
It’s simply a must and I will never walk into a gym again without it.

I love this app!

Superb app! Does exactly what I need in the gym and much better than having to write everything down with pen and paper.
One thing I would like to see in a future update is the ability to group workouts together. I’m currently doing a bulk and it would be great if I could store them in a bulking folder, same for cutting workouts, legs, chest etc 🙌🏻

Apple Watch support

The main reason I’m using this app is the Apple Watch support. It’s very close to the point where I don’t need to take my phone to the gym but there is still some work to be done in that area. Keep the good work up regarding Apple Watch user experience. Also Strava integration is still missing!

CHANGED MY LIFE

I cannot stress the importance of being able to track your workouts and being to continuously improve. Historically I’d be stuck guessing what was the last weight I lifted, what was the highest number of reps, how quick to I cover that distance? Introducing an app like Strong has seen me go from 1-2 sessions at the gym per week, up to 4-5 sessions per week and having put on 2 stone of muscle mass within a number of weeks !

Best app for weightlifters

Just brilliant. The team keep adding new features (like RPE). A great user interface, and it keeps track all of the important things.
One tip: when using the rest timer you can tap back to the workout and the timer will keep counting on the top left.

Where do you cancel your monthly subscription? The app itself says you have to cancel in the App Store but I can’t find where.

Brilliant!!!!

Before I wasn’t really keeping track of exactly what I was doing at the gym. I tried writing it down just on my notes but it was a real effort to do it properly.
When I downloaded this app, I’d found exactly what I needed. Due to being able to track what I’m doing so easily, I have seen way more progress as it helps me to set new personal records every workout.
Definitely worth it!!!!

Great but Pro is a Waste

I love the app but it only lets you create 3 workouts. I need to create 5. The only way to do this is to buy Pro, which is £5 a month. This is the only feature of Pro I need so £5 is a lot. I don’t want to track my bicep size or view a graph (the only other Pro features)
Please allow me to pay a one off payment to get more routines.

Best app on my phone

I got this app quite a few years ago when it first came out, and paid for it not long after.
Best app I’ve ever paid for and I’ve got zero regrets. It’s a really simple, un-bloated fitness app with loads of great features like showing your history and progression. You can even export the data if you need.
Out of all the apps on my phone this is the one I recommend to my mates.
(And I don’t work for these guys if this review sounds a bit too keen)

Awesome progress tracker!

I’ve been using this app since jan 1 and it is an excellent tool to use to keep yourself motivated on your progress and gives you great exercise ideas for whatever muscle group you want to work on. Also let’s you create new exercises.
I love this and I’ve literally introduced this app to 10+ of my friends to use.
Highly recommend this app for people who love going to the gym and want to keep their progress or for people who want to start going to the gym but don’t know where to start.

Hopeless

Brilliant

The apple watch functions on this app are perfect for managing my workout routines. Not needing to carry my phone around is a real bonus and the information provided on the watch app is ideal. With the ability of being able to alter weight, reps etc. and being able to add and remove exercises is very helpful. Excellent.

Great app / fair price

This is a brilliant app that’s been kept uncluttered. I’ve tried so many apps to help me record workouts and ended up ditching them because they were trying to do too much and they ended up being more of a distraction than useful.
This app nails it for me, the right amount of features without being intrusive or a distraction. The watch app is useful too but mostly I’ll use it on my phone, just quicker for me.
The fee is fair as well, I’ve gone for the yearly option and it works out at less than 60p a week! That’s 10p a workout! You can’t complain about that! By supporting these guys via the subs it helps them develop the app, it’s perfectly fair and I’m happy to do that (I know some people just want everything for free but you have to think of the developer sometimes)
I’ve found the support team helpful and fast and I’ve recommended this to all of my friends.

Great app but costly!

Have been using this app for a few months and absolutely love it. Does everything you could want and more. Great also with Apple Watch. My only gripe is the cost!! I wanted 5 routines and only way is to subscribe. Some mates at the gym seem to have got a freebie and have never paid a thing and have everything! I appreciate £4.99 isn’t a fortune but could do without the extra cost. Will be looking around for something cheaper. Still a great app if you can afford it.

Great App

I’ve been using Strong for years. The app was good when it first started out and it’s just got better and better over time.
Out of interest, is there a way to alter the order of exercises in a custom routine? I can adjust the order of routines no problem, but not the exercises within them?

Really Good App

Really like this app, helpful to keep track of my workouts. My biggest issue and the reason this review isn’t 5* is the lack of clarity when it come to the dumbbell exercises. The amount of weight I am putting in I am unsure whether I should be putting in the total weight of the dumbbells or the weight of each dumbbell. Some clarity on this would be helpful.

I don’t ever leave reviews, but really need to recommend this app to anyone who doesn’t have a clue about what to do at the gym or doesn’t know exercises/ how to get started.
The app is unreal and shows you how to do exercises S well as tracks all of your personal records and previous weights etc...

Focused & Strong

I've used loads of fitness apps over the years, they’re all fine but not focused for lifters the way STRONG is.
