Welcome Aboard! - April 1956 sees an d man and his two grandchildren searching in a dusty old attic for material to help with a school project when they come across a chest. Little did the children know that the chest held memories for their grandfather of one of the most significant disasters in maritime history. Artefacts that brought memories of the fateful night in April 1912 when the RMS Titanic sank to the bottom of the Atlantic ocean taking with her over 1500 souls.
Titanic - Pride of the White Star dramatically tells the story not only of the events of that terrible night but some of the lesser-known stories of heroism and personal sacrifice of some of her passengers and crew. It tells also the story of how three items came to give them a common link to our hero Charles Joughin, a chief baker on Titanic, and now a grandfather of James and Susan. He is now an old man helping a new generation to understand the events and lessons of that tragic night.

A quality production
Really enjoyed listening to this. There's a cameo from one if the survivors. It's the human stories of this tragedy that I never tire of listening to.

Fantastic
What a fantastic app. I cannot believe how cheap this was to purchase given the quality of the music, narratives and content overall. I sat with a couple of friends listening to this with surround sound, totally amazing. Thank you so much!

A mixed bag. Good narration spoilt by some dreadful acting and technical frailties.
From the existing reviews, I was expecting much more. Perhaps because I come from a media background, I set my standards higher than other reviewers. But it fell way below the level of professionalism I expected.
By far my biggest criticism is the standard of the acting. It is often wooden with some of the most dreadful attempts at accents I have ever heard. The Scottish one is, frankly, diabolical.
If you know nothing about the Titanic Story, you'd probably find it just about ok, but for someone like me who was fascinated in the ship long before it became quite so famous, it falls way below the level I would have liked.
Apart from that, it appears upside down on my iPad and it seems almost impossible to contact the developers to tell them that.
I note that some of the reviewers have raved about the music. i find that odd. almost all of it is buried by dialogue.
Apart from it being upside down on my iPad, it freezes on there all the time. The only way I have heard it is on my iPod touch.
Pretty poor show all round.

Now , to the app ! It is quite SUPERB , far and away the very best l've heard , and not surprising having learnt that these two wonderful people have put well in excess of 2 years work into this app , it has be one a fitting tribute not only to the Titanic herself but of all those poor souls lost on her . I cannot recommend this app highly enough , so many amazing actors in this and the original music score is just sublime . This app is worth considerably more than 1.49 , it's the price of a bag of sweets in the supermarket for goodness sake !
Trust me ! If you like anything Titanic you will absolutely adore this app, you can download act 1 for free to listen to so you really have no excuse , like me l'm sure you will upgrade to the full version , it's got nothing less than quality written all the way through it .
I cannot wait to see what James and Sue come up with next .

A timeless story...
Titanic stories still move us and this is a wonderful addition to the legends both fact and fiction. Superb script and music that totally draws you in. Love it.

Superb!
Memorable, moving and mesmerising!!! I enjoyed everything about this download from the personal, compassionate stories to the beautiful musical score and attention to factual detail. I was sucked into the stories within moments and felt the roller coaster of emotions experienced by the characters. I thought I knew the story of the Titanic but listening to this really bought it alive for me. Would highly recommend.

This audio begins in a comforting story telling way, then proceeds into such a well layered script that you almost feel like you're on board yourself. The climax is so well acted I really felt the passengers fear. Throughout, the music is fantastic and carries you to another world, I would listen to that on it's own.

Brilliant...loved this story
I listened to this start to finish in two sittings...couldn't put it down once I started. The story's great and the actors really bring it alive...could see this as the next Titanic movie.
