LIST VIEW
- Shows current incidents in order of distance from your current location (closest incidents are shown first).
- Each incident is colour-coded to indicate the severity of the delay.
- You can quickly see the distance the incident is from you, the road name,
the type of incident and when the incident info was updated.
- The detail view for each incident shows the description of the incident together with a map showing the exact location of the incident.
MAP VIEW
- Shows current incidents and traffic cams.
- Each incident is colour coded as well as being represented by an icon showing the incident type.
- Clicking on an incident displays more detail right there on the map.
- The map view can also show live traffic camera images.

TODAY WIDGET
- Shows at a glance the nearest current traffic incidents without launching the app.
PERSONALISE
- Toggle traffic information on the map.
- Toggle auto refresh of camera images (will refresh every 10 seconds).
- Toggle always show map on app launch.
- You can configure which incidents are displayed according to the severity of the delay caused.
- Miles or Kilometres setting.
ICONS AND COLOUR CODING
- The icons on the map show the type of incident so you can see at a glance both the incident type and severity (indicated by the colour of the icon).
The incident icons currently available are:
- Accident: ambulance icon
- Congestion: standard congestion sign (3 cars) icon
- Breakdown: car with bonnet raised icon
- Signal Failure: traffic signal icon
- Event (such as football match, concert): a calendar event icon
- Snow or flooding: the appropriate icon
- Other/Hazard/Incident: standard hazard (exclamation mark) icon
Incidents are colour coded accruing to severity:
- Red: severe; delays of one hour or more, or road/exit closed
- Orange: medium; delays 15 minutes or more
- Green: minor; delays less than 15 minutes

Helpful and informative
Very good app considering national highways don’t have an official app. The only thing missing is the ability to tap on a delay and see, if any, which lanes are closed with a red X like the NH website.

Your app is great, but could you please lean on the Highways Authority to carry out maintenance of their cameras, half the cameras in my area are either out of action or giving a view of the sky or ground.

Was Helpful
Used to show all the road works and closed roads all over the country. It now doesn’t show all road closures. I have been caught out twice by road closures not shown on the App. This on main roads, not back lanes or country roads. Disappointing that it doesn’t work anymore.

I’ve had the App for a week, at first it worked fine & I was able to see the cameras on the map and view the images from those cameras.
The cameras are no longer visible on the map and I cannot see any images on my favourites list - saying that the cameras are unavailable.

Cameras not working at all.
Maps & Roadworks are fine but cameras are not showing anywhere. I have used UK Roads for some time but now I don’t seem to see any cameras either in their road positions or showing any visual traffic hold ups etc. I think I may well now delete this app. The camera icon is there for one to press but it has no effect. I have used the app a lot and been very pleased with both the information provided and the traffic cam views. Worthy then of 5 stars.
However in the past week or so images on the traffic cameras (at least along the M4 in South Wales) are failing to load. Hope this is resolved soon.

Saves a lot of stress
Always good on a long journey to see where jams start with up to date camera pictures not outdated radio reports. However one major complaint- there are always dozens of often minor incidents reported on London roads but little or nothing elsewhere. We have 2 major trunk roads in Essex which run from the east coast to London (A13and A127)Both cross and join the M25. Also the A12 which connects with the M25 runs through Essex. On several occasions serious hold ups have occurred on these roads and no mention has been made or marked on the map. I accept this may not be the fault of the developer but I would like an explanation. Otherwise great app!

Useful app
App gives quick, at-a-glance info on any hold-ups on major roads. Pretty up to date too. Annoying when webcams turn off during major congestion, but I think that’s Highways rule, not the app’s fault

No cameras in this area - issue just occurred
Absolutely love this app, and have used for a few years now.
I’ve given a 5 star review as it’s been so helpful until now.
Unfortunately, cameras now don’t seem to be loading, and there is an Error 403 message when trying to click to resolve.
Any help would be appreciated as it’s a great app to have before driving long distance, especially in the snow!

I have major road works near where I live yet after paying for your app it doesn’t show these road works which are going on for 2 weeks. Feels like you are ripping people off for an app that clearly doesn’t update on all events.

Good app
I use this quite a lot for both personal and work reasons. I work the fast road network in and around London. It’s very handy to see incidents etc. My only major gripe is when there is something I need to see TfL seem to block the camera and all I get is a screen saying in use to make the roads safer, kinda defeats the point of using the app especially as I actually with in conjunction with TfL and in trying to clear their road.
That said very handy, up to date and accurate.

App used to be brilliant with updated information but now every time you select a hazard triangle etc the app just crashes and shuts down. Update needed

Brilliant App
Just a brilliant app, you can see how busy the roads are before you go anywhere. Plus if there is a camera missing you can email the developer, and he will add it. Plus the cameras auto refresh every 20 to 30 seconds.

Brilliant Tool!
(As per title) for roads and journeys you do often, which for me, it’s invaluable for Argyll to Edinburgh twice a month. However for Coventry 4 times a year, it is impossible to know if some roads affect me or not. If the app could be incorporated with Apple Maps perhaps, I’m sure people like myself would pay good money for that. Also, search... nothing I ever search is found? M8? Nope. Edinburgh? Nope. ???

Very misleading
Why does it suggest that there is a live camera feed when infact it is only a static photo of the road? Your app is very misleading as when I was looking to purchase this app the one thing that made me spend my money on the app is that the information you have given and the preview is of a live stream and it’s not! It’s nearly a picture? The only thing that this app does is give you a live picture of about 10-20 mins also updates on any road incidents. I’m not really happy with my purchase

Using this App before any journey can save a world of heartache especially if you can’t afford a delay. I even use it to check out the weather, much better than any forecast!
Living in Cornwall it would be nice to see a few more Cameras along the A30 - no fault of the App though, there are none!

M4 closure at Jct 23 to 24
Typed in M4 for road status, but it seems that most of the information is London end and Bristol, nothing for the Welsh side of the motorway.
This was important for me, as they closed the M4 between these junctions, due to roadworks, but there was no notification of this.
Can we please see information, for the west side of the motorway.

Excellent app would just like north and south on cameras
Probably the best traffic app in uk, would just like north and south clearly marked on the cameras especially when in the fav section.
I use this over all the others as the easiest to manage!

What is it supposed to do?
This app does no more than I would expect from Highways England, or the AA/RAC. They are free. I know £1.99 won’t break the bank: but given most apps are free, I expected some sort of added value. Perhaps the app has a glitch or something? All it does is give a report on the motorways near where I live. This might have some value when starting a journey, but I would also like to get an idea of what to expect along the way. I really cannot fathom what the search bar is for, because whether I input a postcode, or a road name, it does nothing.
Really, if you are considering shelling out £1.99 for this app; from my experience of it, don’t bother.

Brilliant Traffic App
"UK Roads - Traffic & Camera", is definitley, The Driving App to Purchase. Very well laid out and easy to use with lots of Driving Information and Cameras etc. May i also credit Andy (The App Creator) for his excellent customer support. I would just like to point out that you must have the "Camera icon Highlighted" on the Map Screen to view all of the CCTV Traffic Cameras. Give it a go, you will love it.

Excellent App, easy to use, well written.
An excellent app. I use it all the time. Travelling between England and Scotland on a regular basis it provides peace of mind being able to actually see the condition of the roads I'm going to travel along especially regarding snow on the highland stretches of the journey. I had an issue recently with my iPad not showing the camera output but the developer (Andrew Sinclair) could not have been more helpful. Now fully functional again. This is a very well written app and very easy to use, I can recommend it to anyone wanting piece of mind when travelling around the country.

Great Traffic app
This really is a good app. Being able to view the live cameras on auto refresh gives you a good idea on how well the traffic is moving. I have held off the 5 stars as the only improvement I would like to see, is if the camera map could be viewed directly from the incident list.

Lifesaver App
As a contractor who drives a lot to different sites, this app is probably the most useful app that has ever been invented for the UK driver/iPhone owner.
I have saved myself lots of hours by not being held up in traffic queues because it shows road closures, gives details of those closures/accidents etc and probably the coolest part is that you can view live traffic on cameras and refresh the feed. Just today I saw some poor sod stuck on the side of the road on the M1 in the snow - I hope he gets moving soon.

For a professional driver this is a no brainer purchase. As we know the the uk the matrix overhead road information signs are a useful as a chocolate fireguard, this app give you real time cameras and if you refresh the cameras icon you can instantly see if the road shed is busy or closed. All ready saved me hours in useless diversions I didn’t need to go on because I could see the road had been open regardless of the matrix signs. Buy you won’t regret it. Put the time in and save the cameras in your favourites icon for the roads you mostly use in order it’s like seeing into the future.

Fantastic app.
Well at last, a fantastic app. Very up to date and by far the best out there. It knocks spots off the AA traffic app. I use the roads all over everyday and this saves me lots of time because I can now plan journeys. The developers should get some sort of an award for this !
And the traffic camera option is a long time coming.....very well done, thank you
