Claim expenses not refunding

We have booked return flight from LGW to Berlin airport. When we were coming back so our flight cancelled on 5th Feb. They gave us hotel for disrupted flight, and spent 18€ to reached at Hotel. And arranged the flight on 6th of Feb. We came again on 6th of feb to airport and the flight cancelled again. We were spend nearly 50€ on coming back to airport.
My friend visa was expiring on 6th of feb as well. Then we made a plan that we will going by Bus not to take risk for next flight it might be cancelled again. Then immigration officers said to us for visa extension that I need letter from the Easyjet Airline that the flight cancelled by our side so then we will give few days for extension.
We went to easyjet advisor at Berlin airport he said I cant give you letter and we said to him we cant take a risk if it’s cancelled then we will be trouble so we have decided we will go by bus and easy jet advisor said I can give next flight proof, So you can show to officer . Later you go by bus and claim your Expenses Easyjet online so they we will refund you. So then we brought that new booking to officer he extended my friend visa for 2 days.
Now I have claimed the expenses online but they are not refunding I hope I will get my money back that I spent by bus which is 183.94£.

Confusing not user friendly

Wanted my boarding pass. Added booking. Click download as PDF the app shows it is in My Account. Looked again and it is gone. It is not in any of my files on the phone. Signed in again and entered booking ref again and tried adding to apple wallet, get a load of nonsense on screen and no pass. Tried again by using my trips. Added trip with booking ref this time the passes were added to wallet.

Delayed or lost bags - no compensation, no apology, impossible to talk to support

Delayed or lost 100s of bags on our flight - no compensation, no apology, impossible to talk to support, and their new “modern” system didn’t even print luggage tags for us because it’s all online, but the system isn’t working, and it’s impossible to track anything online. That should be illegal.

Permanent geofence even when quit

Also can’t add a booking made by someone else (to add to wallet) when logged in. You have to log out! Very silly.
Since the last ibeacon update, the app has a continuous location tracking geofence active. I don't need that all the time. I have passbook for that!
Sussed it! Goto General->Background App Refresh and turn off Easyjet, to stop them continuously snooping on you. You can leave Privacy -> Location Services on, so you can use the App normally and have it only know where you are when you're actually using the App.
Since ios8 the trick doesn't work. Need to completely turn off location services to stop it tracking all the time!
Plus why do they disable paste/autofill when filling in your booking details? Just to annoy me further?

Vouchers nearly made me vomit

Tried to check into my flight on the app several hours early than the window closing before departure, but the check in process was refusing to load on the food/drink vouchers section. If your customer wanted a food/drink voucher, they would have requested one upon booking. As a result, I couldn’t check in online and nearly spewed in the back of my uber to the airport as the app also said I may not be able to check in at the desk. No one wants your stupid overpriced vouchers anyway, we’re all paying more than enough for the tickets themselves.

Was excellent and quick to book. Last several updates have made it glitchy and useless, unable to select travel dates or airports, not just on iPad but also iPhone. Tried all usual workarounds and now booked two hols with Jet2. Not ideal but their app works.

Poor customer service and full refund.

My boyfriend booked a return flight for me from Belfast International Airport to Newcastle, I canceled the flights 24 hours to the flight date and I was told I won’t be able to get a full refund.
After paying so much pounds🙄🙄😡😡the customer service representative is so disrespectful and wasn’t professional at all and not willing to help.
I am trying to book another flight and the prices are outrageous…I excepted more from easyJet and but I was disappointed about their service. I need a full refund for the flight I cancelled 😡.

EasyJet? An Absolute Disaster! Nothing but theft, negligence, and incompetence!
I have never experienced such a terrible, careless, and utterly disgraceful company! The app is a complete mess. It barely works, crashes constantly, and provides zero guidance. It’s like they built it just to waste your time and rob you of your money and patience. I had to open and close the app over 20 times just to try and manage a simple booking.
When I needed to cancel my ticket, the app wouldn’t let me due to technical issues. I reported it to customer service right away. They responded a full day later, only to tell me it was somehow my fault. Because of this nonsense, I lost over 400 in currency – and nobody offered a solution or even an apology. Customer service was useless, unhelpful, and completely indifferent. No one wanted to take responsibility, no one offered assistance, and everyone just pushed me around.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any airline. Honestly, it feels like a scam – like the entire system is designed to fail, so people miss the cancellation window and they can keep the money. I’m seriously considering taking legal action because what happened to me was outright theft.
To anyone considering EasyJet: DON’T. Just because it looks cheap at first doesn’t mean it won’t cost you more in the end – financially and emotionally. There’s absolutely zero customer care, zero accountability, and zero service. They should be ashamed.
I will NEVER fly EasyJet again in my life. I mean it: I’d rather walk than ever get on an EasyJet flight again.
If you’re reading this, take it as a warning: STAY AWAY FROM EASYJET!
Save your money, your time, and your sanity. This company is an absolute disgrace.

Booking problem

Our flight was cancelled and we booked another flight. This wasn’t a problem because these things just happen. However we had no place to stay while waiting for our flight so easy jet offered accommodation in a nearby hotel which we proceeded with. It was our utter shock to find out that not only did the hotel not recognise the booking, but upon ringing easy jet we received little help and were ultimately told to book it ourselves and get reimbursed. I did not appreciate being lead on for no reason, to be told that our rooms are booked already with both email and text message confirmation, and have our time wasted. We do appreciate that after we book it ourselves and spend our money we will be reimbursed, however if we knew from the start that this was the only option it would’ve been a lot smoother for us.

Much worse

The changes to the app made it much worse. It fails to remember details and just appears to be a simple front end to a website not a stand alone app.
I fly a lot with EasyJet and the flight tracking is now terrible it’s often inaccurate with no graphics or details. I don’t care for the traffic reports getting to the airport thanks. The lack of graphics mean you can no longer play the game of personally predicting when your inbound flight might eventually arrive.
Please can we go back to the old app.
Another disastrous update, a simple disrupted flight, (seems to happen quite a lot!) But you can’t accept the change in the app!!!!! Instead the app sends you to the website, you need to dig out the booking reference login with you surname then confirm then go back to the app. Pages and pages of pointless car hire and hotel sales.
Finally your ‘new’ feature to download boarding pass to the app doesn’t give the option just to add to my Apple wallet, which is fine. Stop trying replace Apple features and get the app back to the way it use your work.
Your comments re changes you’ve made don’t reduce my frustration when using this utter rubbish app, they fails complete to allow me to manage my flights on my phone.
You know it’s broken fix it no more promises of jam tomorrow!!!

Massive backwards step

Since the old app I have now lost the ability to store passport details, they must be newly entered for every single booking, not stored like the last version.
It will also only store the last card details you entered so if, like me, you want to pay with a different card you again have to reenter all the details, rather than store 3 cards as I did on the last version.
Flight tracker has also changed, it used to be possible to actually track the flight in real time, this meant it gave you the estimated landing time, rather than believe the fantasy ‘delayed boarding times’ displayed on airport departure boards.
I hope this gets sorted quickly as I fly almost every week & it’s getting tiresome…particularly when easyjet are flagging it as new & improved…it isn’t.

USELESS, DO NOT RELY ON THIS APP

Absolutely furious, for the second time in a row I have just arrived at the airport for a flight which the app had told me was “ON TIME”. I have now entered the airport and seen on the board that there is an 4 HOUR DELAY. When you also account for the fact that I have arrived 1.5 hrs before my original flight time, this now means I am stuck here for FIVE HOURS UNNECESSARILY. For a short internal flight with no luggage, it’s absolutely ridiculous that EasyJet have not informed me of this delay. This has quite literally wasted my entire evening.
Had I known about the delay, there is no way I would of arrived at this time.
This is the SECOND time this has happened. About 6 hours ago I got a text informing me of a 40 minute delay, the app has since updated to show NO DELAY.
With the capability of modern technology, it’s absolutely ridiculous that the app cannot fulfill these basic functions. ITS SO SIMPLE!!!
On a side note, the recent update of the app is also awful. Not user friendly and feels like a clunky web version. Previous version was far more user friendly and it showed accurate flight data.
EASY JET APP DEVELOPERS: PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP - it has literally no cost to you to keep the data up to date.
I could go on, as I have four hours to sit here now. But I won’t for my own sanity. The end.

TERRIBLE need refund

I had a TERRIBLE experience with EasyJet. They announced the gate number only 10 minutes before boarding, which meant I had to rush to the gate🙂. By the time I arrived, the gate was already closed, and they didn’t let me board the flight. I asked for a refund or to be put on another flight, but they told me it wasn’t their fault. I ended up having to buy a new ticket and wait all day at the airport. They showed no care for their customer, taking my money for a flight I wasn’t even able to board, despite running to get there. It was an awful experience, and I want everyone to hear about it. I was in tears because this flight was very important to me, but they didn’t care at all about their customer, even though I invest my money in their company and fly with them. If I don’t receive a refund for my tickets, I’ll have to share this terrible experience, as it hasn’t just happened to me. AVOID PLEASE

New App Update Does Not Work!

I have booked a holiday to Sicily in April. I booked it months ago, have booking confirmation, can view the booking on the EasyJet website and have made payments towards the holiday. I can see the app has been updated - and therefore I have been logged out - now when I try to add my booking, using the correct reference and last name (Taylor) it says booking not found. It is clear this is an app issue, as my booking is avallable for viewing and managing on the website and I have confirmation of the booking via email etc... but I would like this issue resolved. I use the app to get flight updates and access my boarding pass, so not having the booking available for viewing on the app will cause confusion and inconvenience... I have contacted customer service but have not heard anything back.

Appalling Treatment - Avoid EasyJet at All Costs!

Our recent experience with EasyJet was nothing short of a nightmare. My wife and our 2-year-old son were shockingly informed at the gate that they couldn't board their flight because there weren't enough seats. EasyJet admitted they deliberately oversell tickets, hoping some passengers won't show up. This time, everyone did, and they chose to bump my wife and son because it was cheaper for them to compensate us rather than other passengers. The ordeal was agonizing. My wife and son were forced to wait at the gate for two hours before EasyJet coldly decided they would be the ones left behind. The stress and inconvenience this caused my family were unbearable. EasyJet's complete lack of empathy and horrendous customer service are inexcusable. To make matters worse, the customer service at the check-in desk was atrocious. The lady there had an appalling attitude and even tried to charge us extra money for a mere 100 grams of excess baggage. Her rudeness and unwillingness to help only added to our frustration and disappointment. This airline's disregard for its passengers is appalling. Do yourself a favor and avoid EasyJet at all costs. There are plenty of other airlines that treat their customers with the respect and decency they deserve. EasyJet, never again!

No such thing as a cheap flight

Flights initially promised as being about £150 each ended up being £400 with extra baggage, charges for seats etc. App kept glitching, it positively bullies you into paying for a large cabin bag (and the free cabin bag allowance is ridiculously small). You even have to pay to get a seat - and that changed when we got the checkout bit! I understand and believe that we should pay a good price for air travel - it’s a major contributor to global warming and we should think carefully before boarding a plane. But I haven’t been on a plane since 2019 so I don’t think I’m overdoing it and this booking process is dispiriting and awkward. Just tell me what the flights cost and I’ll pay it - this step-by-step gradual squeezing of the customer for a bit more money and a bit more money feels like being slowly and meticulously mugged. I hope some future government finds a way of regulating the air industry to make it more fair, honest and both customer and planet friendly. Ghastly experience. Miserable way to kick off a long awaited holiday.

Not Quite “Award Winning” App

Onboard EZY announcements frequently mention their ‘award winning app’. I do wonder where these ‘awards’ come from. I fly EZY twice weekly - app constantly boots me out / fails to remember me / makes me reset passwords regularly - despite inputting all the correct details each & every time. I’m also an EasyJet Plus member (£215 annual charge) - you would think my profile would recognise this - sadly no, I need to input my membership number each and every booking as well as my age. Usual painful process also trying to sell you everything from seats to overpriced food to insurance to extra bags - brings me back to my original question - what makes this app award winning ? As a very frequent flyer - I’m not quite getting it.
Of late also the incessant onboard announcements have become really annoying 😵‍💫 On an early Monday morning flight to work each week I could do without hearing about the great food on board and the seemingly never ending inflight sale of massive discounts off their on board duty free brochure. Flying Glasgow Stansted each week that in itself is rubbish. I fly EZY because I have to not because I want to.

Wild goose chase!

Trying to find anything other than very basic information on this website is ridiculous. I needed to cancel a flight within the 1st 24hours so I could get an earlier flight. I thought this would avoid a transfer charge of £49. I’ve booked and cancelled flights on other airlines within the first 24 hours and never been charged. Not only does EasyJet inform you part way through the process of cancellation that there is a charge but they make no mention of how much it is (how hard would that be?). That led me on another wild goose chase trying to find the amount they would charge. In the end, the cancellation charge and the transfer charge are identical, £49. What a coincidence. I feel that this is a very disingenuous practice. I don’t recall that at the time of booking, when mention is made of being able to cancel within 24hrs, there was any mention of a £49 charge. If other airlines don’t charge, how is it legal for EasyJet to do so?

Do NOT trust the notifications from this app!

Missed our flight to Geneva despite being well on time - were watching the app for notifications on when to go to gate etc. The only notification we received was that our flight was delayed for an hour. Next thing we know, we wander down to the gate because the boards say ‘final call’ and we’ve missed it. EasyJet staff less than helpful even though we probably only missed the gate closing by 1-2 minutes. Have been trying to contact customer services for a week, can’t talk to a human. Non existent customer service, terrible company and staff, and they’ve literally stolen our money and not provided a service.
EasyJet, don’t bother replying to this and asking me to use your customer service website or phone number. We’ve tried them all, nothing works.

Shocker.

Very useful. Simple. Functional. Electronic boarding pass supported and works well. Able to email flight details and print boarding passes from phone is very useful.
August 2023 - Updated my review and changed my rating. Tried to change my flight dates for the first time using the app. What a disaster. Forced me to choose my return flights first as you are not allowed to have an outbound journey after the return date at any time. This leads to lots of confusion - see previous reviews.
I ended up having to change a flight twice, so I’m £102 out of pocket. Fixed fees. Non refundable.
Tried phoning customer services. Sat through an endless affirmation that EasyJet is electronic and everything is to be done electronically. By the times I got through, the customer services agent said it was my fault, no refund, and ALWAYS phone customer services to reschedule. Humph.
So this is a two part moan. One about the nature of the EasyJet business. The second relates to the app. For goodness sake EasyJet. Make the rebooking process like the original booking process, not the tortuous and illogical process you have at the moment. It is possible for you to pay attention to this. Steve Jobs would have fired you.
A terrible experience on the app. Do not want to use it again. Shocker.

This really is rubbish

If you book outside the app it does not link automatically to the app: you have to manually load it If you have passport details linked to your account they aren’t accessible through the app: you have to enter them. If you change a flight it still displays the original booked date. It offers you flights in the past as a check in option. When you check in you cannot see your pre-assigned seat. You cannot see it on my flights either. You get loads of nuisance emails trying to upsell or asking you to check in / provide passport details / pick a seat way in advance of when you fly. The sequence of activities is not intuitive. This is very, very clumsy. Was it written by interns or bought lump sum from the lowest bidder? Even the BA app is better!
I’m sitting in Belfast airport waiting for a flight to Gatwick. In the last half hour the departure time has moved 10 minutes but the arrival time by 90 minutes. Really? EasyJet cannot even get the basics right.

Absolutely inhumane. Easy Jet shame on you

Our flight was initially delayed by 4 hours. We were travelling with my baby grandaughter ( 10 months), my husband - heart condition and daughter and son in law. After 4 hours it was cancelled - too late to get any alternate afternoon flights. No help at faro airport; no easy jet personnel to ask. Easy jet workers at check ins just said ‘we can’t help, we don’t know.’ We got informal advice from a Portuguese airport personnel and had to go through the stressful process of leaving the airport; reentering and booking an evening flight with Jet2. Shout out to Jet2 - they were grand! With easyJet, we should’ve been home at 1 pm instead we had to get a flight to Leeds (no further flights that day to Liverpool or Manchester) paying just under £1000 for a new flight, £300 for a taxi home arriving at 3am in the morning. Easy jet gave us 4 euros each to get a drink, stating we don’t know anything. We were in that airport with a baby from 8.30am to 9pm when we boarded. I hope new families never have to go through easyJet, should not be allowed to operate because they don’t provide any sort of service if something goes wrong.

Find another one!

Very disappointed of this company, when something happens they tell you that compensation is offered, then when you apply on their website, they refuse your application. You have a ticket with check-in, with a seat, but at the gate they tell you that the plane is fully booked, and they schedule you for a flight on the next day, they send you to the hotel for one night, and the next day it's the same: the plane is fully booked, they send you to the hotel again to catch another flight on the third day. About compensation, they don't even want to hear. Just words. They sell more tickets than a plane has seats. This happens often with easyjet. People talking. The worst company I have ever met! And the worst name! You are just wasting your time, holidays and money with these people!

Not fit for purpose

I am happy to use APPs, & indeed the idea that I can speed up the process at the airport for staff and myself travelling with children is great. BUT the APP does not let me check in my children …. I am only travelling for a weekend, so just brought hand luggage - to make the whole process smooth. At Gatwick there are now no check in desks …. Everyone does bag drop - I don’t have bags to drop but because the APP won’t let me check in the kids (I can check in - so I know I can use the process) …. I have to join some god awful queue of ‘people with problems’ that takes forever to get a boarding pass. I also wasted 90 minutes of my life trying to check them in - the APP could at least honestly announce - if you have kids you need to check in at the airport ‘sorry’ - and have kept 3-4 family only check in desks. Our flight then got cancelled - and those that had all their details in the APP were able to rebook the next available - we now are stuck in Crawley (in a nice hotel) for an extra 2 NIGHTS. I have taken the time to provide you with feedback and solutions EASYJET - please do me the courtesy of a personalised response via email.

Enjoy It while You Can

I love the EasyJet flight to Bristol from Newcastle. It’s almost as straightforward as getting on a bus except for the ridiculous suggestion of getting to the airport a couple of hours beforehand for what is a sub-one hour flight. I suppose they get a kickback from the airport “shopping centre” for what their punters spend on fripperies.
How long will these cheap internal flights last? They are gradually being knocked on the head in France and Germany as part of emission reductions which you have to agree with BUT have you ever tried to get a British train to Brizzel? or consider the fuel cost for a 600 mile round trip - circa £150 quid for the fuel alone.

User unfriendly website

This site constantly tells me to reset my password. The costs vary dramatically for flights, seats and bags once you have looked and then return to book. Details don’t seem to store well in the app and the coders are so lazy they can’t be bothered to auto capitalise the start of a name. The cost of adding a hold bag is eye-watering. I’d love to know the margin they make on each bag. And cabin bags can cost more than a hold bag. Outrageous price gouging of their customers for convenience and less weight to fly. Nearly all seats have a charge associated so the flight price is wrong as it doesn’t include a seat. Also why do I have to answer if it is a leisure or business purpose flight. It’s my business not theirs. And finally they don’t have a card reader when it comes to pay so I have to type all details in. Simply a poor site from lazy coders and disinterested managers.

Don’t book with Easy Jet

Both our outgoing flight from Bristol to Naples and our return flight from Naples to Bristol were cancelled at very short notice, both times having checked in, dropped off luggage and been through airport security. The Easy Jet app was of little help on either occasion which just about sums Easy Jet up. Every avenue you try to use on the app to get information about what’s happening is a dead end. It’s proved impossible to contact anyone at easy jet when you need them most, leaving you stranded. I still don’t know when or if we’re going to get home. Some people on our return flight had already had their homeward bound flight from Italy cancelled once. The app is fine if everything is going to plan ( when you don’t really need it ) and of no help at all when it goes wrong ( when you need it badly ). I’d strongly advise booking with any other company - they can’t be worse. Easy Jet need to invest more in real people, less in apps and sort out their management or they won’t be in business much longer.

Communicate

Flew to Rhodes and back a couple of weeks ago and the only food available on the flight was chocolate and pretzels.
The flight departed London gatwick at 5.30am so there were minimal cafes and shops open.
We weren’t informed about the lack of catering when we checked in, although the ground agent was quick enough to charge us for a bag that would have been allowed pre covid but is now too big!!
A bit of information when we are at check in would be much appreciated as it would allow you to stock up before boarding!!
If they have a problem then it can’t be helped but on a 4 hour flight people need sustenance!!

Flight change

Yet again the impossible task of contacting a human being at EasyJet has rendered the simple matter of a flight change into a frustrating and unfair fiasco. Having paid for seats on a (now cancelled) flight out of Liverpool, I have had to pay a second time for seats (one row behind those on the original booking) on the substituted flight out of Manchester. If only companies like EasyJet would accept it’s impossible to cover every issue by directing customers to FAQs and “Help” sections. What this review really seeks, is to ask EasyJet NOT to hide the links for customers to send a written description of customer’s problems. We all know current corporate culture continues to prevent human contact and in so doing companies no longer have to invest in staff training or be concerned that staff actually know about any part of the system whether that be pre or post booking i.e. sales or customer service. The latter is nowadays a dumbed down version of people’s understanding of “customer service” which, before companies used the internet to escape the need to speak to the public, was indeed a service provided to customers. Please make it easier to CONTACT your “customer service” department; even if there’s nobody actually available to talk to us.

Great app, some small tweaks would make it even better

Use it all the time as I travel every week. If developers added a couple of fixes it would be even better. 1. Why do I have to say I’m over 18 every time? , I’m an EasyJet Plus customer so they know I’m over 18 and if I said yes last time unless I’m Benjamin Button I will always be over 18 ? 2. Remember my EasyJet plus number to save me typing it every time zzzzz 3. Remember my passport number ... Without me having to click a few times - again you have it already. Other than that it’s great, especially for tracking flights, although doesn’t help in the occasions when it really goes wrong- you can use push messages to tell me what gate to go to, surely you can provide info via this route also to save some stress for your staff and us passengers at the airport ?

Glitch when trying to pay for flights

I have been a regular user if the app to book flights. However, for the past week I’ve tried to book 2 sets of flights. All goes well until I reach the payment option. All goes through but then I receive an error message. My cards are fine. Customer service says the have issues suggests various solutions use the website rather than app, use Google chrome, clear cache etc none of which fixes the problems. I’m loathe to book through a consolidator which costs more. Why can’t this issue be looked into? Why can’t EasyJet accept payment over phone?

Great app for buying & flying

Really user-friendly. I like that you can see and compare prices for flights on different days really easily, rather than having to do a new search each time. The purchasing process is really simple and the pricing is easy to understand. I use the app during my journey too: mostly the flight tracker, which is extremely helpful if there’s ever a worry about a delay. I also like that I can check what food will be available on my specific flight, as there are some foods I don’t eat, and this helps me decide whether to buy at the airport or wait til I’m on the plane.

DO NOT USE THIS APP.

Having booked numerous flights with no problems I decided to uploaded this app to my iPhone. Using the app I booked a return flight and the payment was taken from my account. However I received absolutely nothing, no acknowledgment or email with any documentation. I tried to contact EasyJet by phone and attempted to log onto the app but found it was now not possible. Despite repeated attempts including finally deleting the app and uploading it again I was not able to log back on. EasyJet used to be excellent but now they, like others are now an absolute disgusting business and it is simply not possible to speak to anyone. Finally in desperation I called to an airport and staff were able to locate my booking which was a mess. Wrong seats wrong luggage method on the booking and I was told there was a big charge to change it. This app must have caused the problems which is compounded by a very greedy airline. Hopefully they go out of business and are replaced by a decent company.

Disappointed

Say I'm disappointed is an understatement call Called customer service today wasn't understood by the person on the phone language barrer . several times flight to Athens cancelled so many times 80-year-old mother-in-law in Athens on her own through the pandemic. Ever time it was cancelled or I had to change your flight having to pay again and again in total probably three times I paid for luggage and three times I paid for seats shouldn't have to pay any of these should be complimentary since I've paid already. No I have a one-way flight that I have to pay to change the name from my husband to my daughter as my husband has Covid £55. Plus I have to pay for changing the flight as you can't get time off work one week later another £32 no sympathy no understanding on the phone for a good 20 minutes and all the cola could see was I'm sorry I don't understand you I'm sorry I don't understand this mess you call Customer Service,Maybe I should just delete the app and start using a new Airline, diappointed

Crooks!

So the flight is £101 all in, but when trying to confirm on the app, there is a glitch. Please check your password / reset your password, log out, log in, re-book flight and bag. Suddenly flight and bag is now £128!! 20 minutes after the original £101. Anyway get to the all important confirmation stage and hey Ho, “sorry we’re experiencing some issues with the app” please log out and log in again! Had to do something for 45mins, then tried again. This time thankfully I was successful, however the same flight and bag is now £151!
£50 extra for what? Because easyJet are having software issues? Did you get Dominic Cummings to set up an algorithm for the app which purposely rips people off?
The flight is from Gatwick to Inverness at 8am on a Saturday morning, so not exactly going to be heaving! Also when selecting my seat I was still able to get the same seat I chose the first time round. Disgraceful daylight robbery. A very unimpressed customer.

Rebooking extortion - app not clear.

Easy Jet cancel flights with no other flight on the same day, so I request a refund. The app is not clear and does not give you the option to request refund for only cancelled flights. The app actively encourages you to apply for refund online rather than call. Then you have to wait 7 days to get an secession as to if they will refund for their cancellation! I had to take the decision to book and pay for alternative travel.
So because of limited information on the app as to what will be refunded all of my booking has been cancelled and the cost to rebook a flight that is not cancelled has doubled! I’m so angry. I have been totally messed about and now penalised to pay double fare! Staff at the call centre need training in what the customer sees and is advised in the app re; refund requests as their advise being that ‘I should have called for a refund’ is totally contrary to the app. Backed into a corner I’ve had to fork out more money because the fare for a flight I already booked has doubled, but in future easy jet will be loosing a customer in me.

Flight change

I am having to cancel my flight on 24th October from Corfu to Gatwick due to having come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Unfortunately after I have self -isolated for 14 days there are no longer any flights from Corfu and I am now having to get to Athens to fly home. Although the cost of this flight is cheaper than the one that I am being forced to cancel, I am having to pay a 43 Euro charge to change. Other airlines, such as Ryanair, are more flexible with Covid-19 cases and do not charge a rebooking fee. So not only am I having to pay for another flight from Corfu to Athens , I am also hit with a rebook fee. Shame on you EasyJet.

Boarding passes keep disappearing

I checked 4 people in and downloaded the boarding passes for both legs of the journey. All good, they were showing in the boarding pass section. I checked a few time, and they were still there. Until yesterday when they had gone completely and so had the countdown, and my trips section was empty too! Was getting nervous that our flight had been cancelled with everything that’s going on. Finally managed to add our trip and went to check in, and it said it was all already completed, so I downloaded the passes again, to notice they have gone yet again within the space of 7 hours. Looking at google, this has been going on for at least 5 years. Please sort this issue out, as it’s not filling me with much confidence right now. Otherwise, seems a decent app.

Frustrating and poor customer support!

I spent over an hour trying to change a flight on line. I Had 7 bank payments taken even though it was only 80 pence each time to find my flight wasn’t changed each time On the app. I Contacted customer services and spent another hour speaking to Percy who wouldn’t change my flight without a £28 charge when booking a new flight was only £20.
I was told it was my bank at fault even though 2 different banks where used and money taken from both. He couldn’t see what I was doing on the app amazingly, as he couldn’t access it when I was on the app!

Zero Customer Service

After our flights to France were cancelled due to COVID-19 I opted to take a voucher that would be valid for 12 months. I received it on email and decided to leave it in my inbox so I could access it quickly when I came to rebook. Flights cancelled in June and voucher issued in June - came to rebook flights in July and the voucher has just vanished. I cannot find it anywhere in my inbox, deleted items, junk etc. I’m clearly owed this and so I presume if I contact EasyJet I will be able to get the voucher reissued. That’s when it becomes complicated; no response to email, no online live chat currently available, contact form online just won’t submit. Call centre - what a joke. I have spent hours and hours on hold over the past 3 days and never got through to anyone. I’ve had to give up after 2 hours each time as I need to use my phone for other things apart from being on hold to a company that clearly have no desire to actually interact with their customers in any meaningful way. There is no record of my booking on my easyJet account so the only proof I have of it is the few emails confirming it. All I want is what is owed to me. The reissue of my voucher. But it seems impossible to make contact with anyone at EasyJet. So poor.

Canceling flights for no reason

I have just started using easyjet and this year I was very excited too be flying too see my family and I am incredible disappointed that my flight got canceled for no reason at all. This is outraging that I have too spend more money booking another flight later than the date I wanted because of this. I emailed and dmed on Instagram. Also tweeted you. And waited about 5-6 weeks but still shocking too see no reply AT ALL which is weird because on your website it clearly says “replies will be held too 48 hours at least” . The customer service is horrible and it’s sad too see you all lie saying that Europe is opening but yet still canceling flights too get too there. If things don’t change your company won’t be heading a good path. Still waiting for my refund and voucher. It’s ridiculous to see that you can take the money of the people very fast but not give it back the same after problems your company makes. Never using easyjet again. 🤡

re refund!

Our flight was been cancelled last March they gave me a choice and took the choice to be refunded done all through email as it shows in the email phone call was impossible! 7/7 past nothing happened I managed to email them and said 28 days after that if no refund call them or contact them again. I’ve done all the routes to contact the customer service i followed the link to tweet same thing the answer it’s goes back from the beginning which it’s really make me so mad! thee ed n i have to try to ring many times and edited for a very very long time just to get through ! what did i’ve found out from that lady that she cannot find my request of refund ? but it’s says in my email the refund was on process! she said that day she requested it after more than a month of waiting and the sad part it will takes another 90 days on that day of my call!
we need money as my husband cannot work i’m the only one working as off now due to lockdown this easy jet taking too much time to refund their customers in time! I agreed that why can they take our money immediately when you pay but they cannot refund us back same time! I’ve been using the airlines for many years too! but now i’m so unhappy dissatisfied with their customer service at all!

Worst airline App available

This app, which was likely designed by a child, has consistently cost me large sums of money. Why is that? Firstly the whole ‘check in’ process is a complete waste of time. I had completed these the night prior to my early morning flight, Only to find out last minute that my boarding passes, which they claimed were available on the app, were no longer there. This resulted in missing my flight (from Gatwick N to Paris).
So the helpful staff at EasyJet tried their best to accommodate us (myself and my partner). Unfortunately, because of this HORRIBLE app we were too late and could not make our flight; which meant we had to spend an additional £220 to reschedule.
To conclude, EasyJet as a company are very good and I will continue to use them. But I will never, EVER use this godforsaken app again.

Cancelled flights

I have had cancelled flights from Luton to Belfast international in Feb if this year due to weather conditions. Obviously easyJet is not responsible for the weather but I am disappointed in is their response to the incident. They rightly cancelled the flight and gave us alternate ways to change out flights (apparently free of charge) they gave a customer services number and email link however the number just kept us on hold even though I tried on 3 separate occasions and held on for over 40mins on each occasion I could not get through. The link they gave just kept saying sorry something gone wrong try later every time I tried. I’ve had to either cancel my trip completely or book alternate flights at a higher cost!!!
Shame on you easyJet your customer services leaves a lot to be desired!!!

Easy app

I have used the Easyjet app for three trips so far, I must admit this is the first time I have flown without the back up printed boarding pass. The app makes boarding swift and effortless.
However, there is a flaw that needs to be addressed and that is the need to find the contact phone number more easily, it is a pain to find.
My other gripe with Easyjet is their hold luggage instant assumption that you are returning with hold luggage, you are not given any option but to have to check luggage in at the airport, if you only want to take it one way.
I phoned and was told it was £40 for one way luggage up to 32kg, but on the phone was told it was £25 for up to 15kg.
At the Airport I was charged £40 for my 13kg of outbound luggage, so my official complaint about this overcharge is to follow.

Very useful, however....

I use this app extensively and really enjoy the ease of booking and flight tracking. There are some things that need urgent improvement, though: i am an easyjet plus card holder but the system doesn't retain the card number and I have to manually insert it, which is a royal pain. Also, when traveling with family members who aren't card holders in the same booking, I can't select a seat for myself without selecting seats for the others (my children) and paying for them. Lastly, one should be able to select the amount of luggage one wishes to put in the hold for each leg of a return ticket. Now, i have to make separate bookings when the amount isn't the same.
I hope Easyjet takes these remarks to heart!

Notifications Not 100% Reliable

The app notified us of our flight when we were on the train to the airport so that was a good sign, at least we had booked our train tickets for the right day! Upon arrival at the airport we tried to check our hold baggage using the self serve kiosk, at first this was problematic till we summoned help, the assistant said scan your pass and hey presto suddenly it worked! We had obviously been scanning our pass wrong prior to calling him 😂 Anyway the big disappointment was that despite constantly checking the app for updates on the gate number it never appeared so we ended up having to find a board only to discover the flight was by boarding, so we ended up doing an Olympic Style power walk to the gate, luckily we were not the last to board but it was a close call😅 I recommend therefore that you dont rely on this app for Gate/Boarding notifications and if you do then ensure any asthma sufferers in your party have their puffer with them 😮

It’s Squeezy

As ‘no frills’ airlines go, Squeezy Jet are actually very good. I’ve flown with them a few times now, and so far no horror stories. I used to fly British Airways Club World. But the prices kept on going up, as the quality kept on going down. Anyway, this is a review of the app. Not a review of the airline.
The app is extremely good. It allows you to do everything you need to. From booking flights to checking in. You can check flight status. And they send you a text if there’s anything you need to know. They even warned me once that the oven was broken on my flight(!) The ability to enter your passport details by simply pointing your camera at your open passport is scarily high-tech. I always check SkyScanner website first, before booking on the app. Just to make sure I’m getting the best price. So far..... I am.

Easyjet are most likely the most incompetent airline I have ever experienced travelling with.
The flight was initially delayed for 6 hours, and after finally boarding, the flight was Ultimately cancelled. There wasn’t one Easyjet employee to assist at the luggage department where no one could find our luggage for over an hour. We were then left with no choice having to pay for a taxi from Luton to Gatwick, sleeping on the floor in Gatwick airport as Easyjet did not have ‘space’ in a hotel nearby. This resulted in us missing a night of paid accommodation in dubrovnik, missing a day of annual leave and my partner having to fly a day and a half after myself.
Just to top it all off - I put in an expense claim in where I was told I was going to hear back in 28days, and obviously due to the incompetency
I have never received such appalling service in all my life. I would advise any customer thinking of booking an Easyjet flight to strongly consider alternative airlines. In order to save £20 or even £50 pounds initially cost me £650 to rebook flights, taxis, buses and lost time!
I am extremely disappointed in the incapability of providing a solution to any problem.

I found this check in very complicated, had to keep going over things many times, did it on my computer, makes me think twice about booking with you again,
I have checked in many times on line for B.A and Ryan air. Their check in is easy and straight forward, I would have liked to have booked priority boarding, cannot see anywhere to do this. gives no info on how to join Easyjet plus, as this seems to be the only way to travel priority, no details of how to set up an account. Much too fiddly and complex, checking should be a simple and straightforward process for the average person, asked me 3/4 times to fill in my ID details, all filled in correctly.

Simple ways to reduce friction in App

It would be great to remove unnecessary repeat questions. e.g am I over 18 at the date of flight. Just save my date of birth and don’t ask again. Could you remember my EasyJet Plus number? I travel regularly, so why ask every time? It might be a stretch, but could I set my preferences for extras such as insurance, food, etc. Once again, I get asked every time. It makes a 5 step process into a 10 step process. Worth getting UX team to A/B test if the add-ons actually work for regular travellers or just cause a nuisance. If I can be bothered to set a preference then I am unlikely to keep changing my mind. Ask occasionally, not every time. Thanks

Round and round in circles

It should be a simple matter to check-in online, but the site is so crowded with information and adverts, finding your way through is like navigating a maze, with different signposts pointing here, there and everywhere. The site seems more about selling you hotels, car hire, insurance, baggage space, etc., etc. than about simply checking you in. It’s even hard to find out if you HAVE checked in, and with every step you are bombarded with MORE information. My suggestion? Have ALL the info you need on ONE page that can be scrolled through. Then ‘Go to Check-in’. From that point on it should be solely about checking you in: no more info-bombs, no more ads., no more offers and deals. GIVE UP on trying to sell more stuff or more options.

Finding how to print boarding passes

I have found this task very difficult I upload the app as request from your on line chat and wasn’t able to view our boarding passes
I am fully aware that I was informed from the on line chat that if I had difficulty in printing the passes I could go to the airport desk and they would print them for me free of charge
I would have been worried the desk would be open at time of my arrival
I have now eventually been able to view our boarding passes on the app but I still like to have paper ones just in case I had poor signal or the on line system went down

Keeps forgetting my data...

When the app works, it is pretty good. But every few flights it forgets my passport data (maybe when the app is updated?). I then have to re-enter it again from scratch. Since I fly a couple of times a week this quickly becomes tedious. So I’ve recently started just checking in on the website which has never forgotten my data. I then print the boarding pass, because the app hasn’t picked up that I’ve already checked in and wants me to check in again.
Would be good if the app and website were aligned so this didn’t happen though...
UPDATE: Getting more tedious now. Seems that if you do anything in the website, the phone app forgets all your data. So looks like you either stick to app or website but can’t use both.

At least they listen

This app has always been quite good, certainly better than Ryanair's, but recently there' E been two problems, demands to update regularly, and phone bombing with advertisements. Now there's a third, and it goes like this . . . you'd think the app would automatically communicate with stuff you do on the Easyjet website, like making a booking. But it doesn't. You have to feed the info into the app manually, under My Trips, which is a pain in the neck because it means trawling out your reservation number. But that's not the end of the problem because recently the app tells me 'operating in secure off-line mode because a secure connection cannot be established. Yet I'm online, or I'm using wifi, both tried, and it still won't accept my details. A real pain.

Check in

I can pay for my flight but can't check in on line. I can check my partner, Helen in. I have updated all my details however when I come to check in an APIS error comes up. I have accumulated hours in lost time over the years and as I am a frequent flyer this is most aggravating. I have tried the 'Help' sites and have had no response from my emails. There doesn't appear to be a landline number. This is totally inadequate! As it means I have to waste more time checking in at the airport and the return journey means getting to the airport extra early to queue up and I only have carry on bags or sometimes no bag at all. If I get a response to this I'll be surprised! Can someone help me?

Fact versus fiction

The app is very good, informative and easy to use. My only frustration is that you tend to rely on it for delay information which in most instances is more accurate than the airport info which you would expect. However on my trip back from Croatia on the 31st August, the travellers on the flight after the doors were closed were informed that due to issues at Stanstead with air traffic control we would have to sit tight for an hour before take off. This did not show on the app, so their is still a disjoint between some information how timely or how dynamic the info is displayed or communicated. On a positive the flight crew were very good and the process of loading and fast turnaround was very well rehearsed and managed.
