Sunday staff strike again. Meal for two, was sat right next to another table without being asked for any other alternatives. Asked to move and was met with a grimace.
Reviewed the menu then looked to place an order on the app. When we saw some of the starters weren’t showing, asked a server why and was told firmly, “We’ve run out”. Enquired about another missing item and the same answer was repeated. No sorry or explanation…
The menu seemed really reduced too.
The saving grace was the food. Veggie stuff tastes great.
Will think again before returning.

The app used to have some real pain points, like flipping you to the website to log in. Then a few updates ago they managed to fix that and it was fine for a while. Now they’ve tried to be all funky with the latest update and broken it completely. When logging in they now email you a confirmation code. Only theres no way of entering it since when you switch to your email to get the code, the keyboard disappears and won’t come back. There’s some “scan code” feature which is no use whatsoever if you are using the same mobile for your email.
Eventually i worked out the only way to log in is to copy/paste the code. Once in its just as bad. Ordering in the restaurant, you have to enter the table number, only again, no keyboard. Useless Ok you think, scan the QR code at the table, same problem, it doesn’t work. Gave up and ordered at the till instead. Well done developers, did you bother actually doing any user acceptance testing? No
I can’t help thinking that the developers probably used to work at Apple and got used to taking something that worked perfectly well then broke it by adding features that nobody asked for.

If you have an issue with your delivery, you might as well just forget about it. The only option to give any feedback is via a phone number - no star ratings or feedback forms - then some person in a call centre with no authority is targeted to ignore all your issues, because ‘the process doesn’t allow’. At best they’ll recommend you email the Nando’s branch directory. No accountability from either Nando’s or Delveroo. It’s like both parties assume it’s the other’s brand equity at risk, so they have no concern for your experience

Ordered from Nando’s for delivery and the delivery driver calls my mobile and asks if I can confirm it is my boyfriend who is accepting the delivery outside. I replied and said no my boyfriend is not outside he is sat next to me and that there is no Deliveroo delivery driver outside my house? He then asks the postcode of my address so I gave it to him along with my full address, a long silence after, he explains he is the other side of the city. He explained that he has another order with him that needs to be delivered and that he could not deliver ours because the second order he had to deliver would get cold. He said that he would try and get the order we sent out with another Deliveroo delivery person. I then got a call from Deliveroo CS and they basically said that I’m not getting any food and I would get a refund. I said well I still want my food cant you get the order re sent out and that I didn’t mind waiting a little longer. They said yes I could make another order but I would still have to go through the process again and pay, again. Not happy at all considering it was Deliveroo’s fault.

I would not normally order wine at this kinda place… that’s just me. But today I thought, what the bell, the food is good… the staff are lovely… let’s give it a go. And they accidentally brought a red when I’d ordered a white. They left the red with us and my partner tasted it and was impressed! The white arrived and we were so impressed with both! Then we learnt the owners of Nando’s also own a winery in S Africa! A biodynamic winery and by golly it tasted so good!

I recently used the Nando's app to place an order, but unfortunately, the app failed to provide me with any indication that my order had been placed. Despite the payment being deducted from my account, there was no update or notification regarding the status of my order. As a result, I had to wait for around 10 minutes, hoping for some sort of confirmation or update through the app.
As I grew increasingly concerned, I contacted the branch to enquire about my order. While waiting on hold, an automated operator suggested checking for updates on the order and reviewing my email. Unfortunately, I had not received any email updates, leading me to the conclusion that my payment had been processed, but my order had not been placed.
I have to say, my experience with this app has been extremely disappointing. It lacks basic features such as order history, notifications, and updates on the status of your order. In comparison, Deliveroo provides a much better service with all of the aforementioned features. Overall, I would not recommend this app to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient ordering experience.
Based on my experience, I can confidently say that I will never use this app again for any future orders, be it takeaway or dine-in. The lack of basic features and the confusion caused by the missing order status updates has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I will be seeking an alternative app that provides a more reliable and efficient service.

Absolutely terrible service, having order a delivery I had a notification that my order had been delivered………. Nothing delivered to my address, so I contacted the helpline and was told after waiting that yes my order had been delivered as they had spoken with the delivery person??? I don’t know exactly what you guys use to track down the address that was given to you but it clearly wasn’t accurate, so please do better next time to get your riders to reach the desired destination or they should call the owner of the order to ensure that they have delivered it to the right location.

I payed for my meal and also used a chilli reward. Waited an hour for my delivery, to be told it was delivered when it wasn’t. I called and was told there was an address error so I wont receive my food. This is the address i use every-time. I now have to wait 5 days for a refund. And have to wait another hour to replace the order I already waited an hour for. Also I no longer can use my reward as it was used for the cancelled order. I am fuming.

The app keeps forgetting my logon details - which considering you need it to order in the restaurant now is the most annoying, stupid thing any app can do - *remember* my details !!!!!! 😡
Received an update from developer which was appreciated, but it was to confirm that this logout is intentional - unimpressed, it is not helpful and as a software dev myself there must be better alternatives - review dropped from 2 x stars to 1 x star as a consequence - this type of “well that is what we do” is lot helpful at all and they need to consider other options that make the use of the app more convenient without sacrificing security.

I’ve been reluctant to use the app because on the last 2 occasions it didn’t work properly. On the first I got a double order and on the second it failed repeatedly after I attempted to process the final order.
I’ve been a customer since the first restaurant opened in South Africa back in the early ‘90s and the food has been consistent since then.
Fingers crossed that it’s sorted out now!

Maybe the app was bad in the past? Im not sure because I didn’t have it back then but it seems fine.

Appalling - issues with every order

Starting with the good part, the app looks good, but that’s about it. The app has got a MASSIVE problem, at first my address was showing in the incorrect place on the map when the riders were on their way. Now it shows correctly on my app, but 4 consecutive times now Deliveroo riders were seeing the pin in a completely different place and ended up in other places around London. Triple checked my address and it’s been put in correctly. I also leave notes for riders which they don’t read. Clearly some sort of issue between Nando’s and Deliveroo, which they don’t seem to be able to sort. Until this is sorted you should turn off deliveries through the app as it’s causing customers and Deliveroo riders a big headache. Disappointing.

I tried to order twice in one night. On both occasions the delivery location marked on the map was nowhere near the address I’d entered. So I had to call customer service and get both attempts refunded.
I don’t live at some strange address that is prone to mixups. Nor did the street they attempted delivery at have the same name as mine. It was literally a random location.
How in 2022 do they not have a delivery platform that knows where postcodes are?

Brilliant the app allows to use gift cards to make payment but it would be great if more than one gift card can be entered.
If you have multiple cards to make payment then this app doesn’t allow you and you end up having small amounts of each gift card.
Hope future update will allow this so that you can make online orders rather than having to order from the restaurant counter itself to use up the gift cards

I used to love this app then it came time to put in a home delivery. You have to drag a pin over map to say where you live which is fun for flats, then turns out as it’s not Nandos doing delivery can not use voucher for Nandos or your rewards.

When I get my wings every week I like them crispy, I have to always call the store and ask them to cook my chicken crispy and the skin not to be like rubber. You need a option on your app to ask the customer, how well do you want your chicken... crispy, well done and so on...
Just put a box in that says how well you want your chicken done!

Good for ordering delivery, and paying via apple pay. However, does not cope when you try to order for collection- it takes you to the website, then app, then freezes. Same thing if you try and view your nando’s rewards.
App also states a new feature is using nando rewards on order to collect, but it freezes every time you try. Kinda disappointing, as i love the food, and Nando’s is a big company, and should be able to afford the bug fixes!

Absolutely rubbish app. Every time I try to order it gets stuck loading the payment screen and then loses the order. Then I have start all over again. The other night I tried 4 times before giving up. (Update) It is the click & collect I am having trouble with. It struggles to load the time slot/payment screen and when you refresh or press back it loses the order.

The app kept crashing, it keeps asking for verification number sent via email after every crash. I had to place 4 meals order again and again. I've given up after 4 failed attempts.🤬

Hope Nandos haven’t paid someone to make this app. If they have they can be reassigned to the kitchens to do the washing up, if they can cope. This is a hideous app. Designed by kids. Its just a link to the website. Each time you place an order you have put all the details and if you choose delivery we have no idea where it take you. Whoever is behind this app is is obviously keeping away from showing the issues to the CEOs and hiding. Shame on you.

An absolutely useless app. Keeps switching between the app and the website. Went to do a big order today and when I went to check out I had to use a facebook or google login, but I have neither! I originally created a login with my hotmail details so it wouldn’t let me checkout. I ended up giving up and going through Deliveroo instead. Could have save myself a lot of time by going straight to Deliveroo to begin with! Also makes me reset my password every time I try to log into the app..?? Really frustrating app!

Really poor experience when it constantly switches you from the app to the website and back to the app again. So confusing as to what it’s doing.
The constant log-in issues is also just so frustrating. Every time I try and log-in (and I really mean every time) I get told my password is invalid. Every time I need to reset a new password and every time I just re-use the same password I sued last time and then it eventually works. Takes approx. 10 minutes to log-in before you can even start to order online.
Finally, can you not show us what click and collect times are available at the start of process and let us choose one then. Spent another 10 minutes selecting what I wanted only to find out the the earliest available time was 9:50pm ... it was 5:45pm when I was doing this! Complete waste of time.
Great food. Terrible app/online experience.

Just build a proper native app. The workaround web page is just too annoying and is not a seamless experience especially when the webpage crashes. I was on the app 15 mins and gave up ordering. had to go to Deliveroo.

Absolute waste of time. Can’t log in, can’t chose Click & Collect or Delivery. What is the point of this App. Every update fails to deliver.
Unbelievable that a company this big could have such a poor App.
Their digital media team or whoever is responsible for this shambles should be sacked immediately as it must be costing them thousands in lost revenues.
UPDATE: I have now been contacted by the developer to say this is fixed which it seems to be, but don’t they do any testing before releasing an update?
I still can’t order through the app though, it takes me to the website every time and despite the fact I have enabled location services I have to put in a postcode every time to find my nearest branch. Why can’t you just save your local branch in your profile like most other apps?

Nando’s food is awesome. No complaints.
But the app is pretty poor. It’s slow loading. Slow to react when you press something...and it’s not really an app...it just loads a web browser to do everything on their website within their app.
It continually asks you to login everytime you navigate to a different section.
I just placed an order via the Nando’s app for delivery via deliveroo. It advertises £2.99 delivery. During checkout, it does not present a delivery charge...it just gives me a total. After checkout when I see the receipt it’s charged £3.49. I tried it a few times and it did the same..it’s not like there’s a setting I overlooked.
I could not find a way to use my points towards an order via the app.

Just used the app today to place an order and it worked perfectly. Still not happy that points expire but that’ll be a corporate decision. This app has had some serious issues in the past so it’s great that it’s working as it should. Authentication via the website is a bit of a pain but not a showstopper. Thanks for taking all the feedback on board and making the necessary improvements. And now that you do plant-based options I’m as happy as a piglet in clean straw 🥰

Lost all my points

The previous version was ok it has my points there and I was close to get a free chicken. Then after update to this version I lost all my points and asked me to added my card again which I don’t have it because I was only using the app.
I used to buy at Nando’s a lot because of the points system and now I don’t go there anymore.
Don’t wast your time it’s a fake system and you will lose your points in the next update like myself

This App is crap!!! Since an update about a year ago, I’ve not been able to use it as the fonts are way too massive and you can’t click on any tabs to do anything in the App because the words overlap. I’ve deleted and re-installed it countless times, but result is same. Always have to use the website version to access my card for use in the store or to make an order.
Kindly sort out whatever the problem is. Even new Apps from other stores work much better.

Having been on 6 chillis (1 off medium chilli reward) before visiting Nando’s yesterday I was annoyed when I made my purchase to realise I was only rewarded a green chilli when on the graph I should have been rewarded with a medium taking me into the red section. No doubt I did move to the red section but missed out on the medium chilli reward. Very frustrating

After about half an hour I was finally about to order my food for collecting. It was the most annoying thing every. Updated the app just for it to log me out cool. Managed to log back into the app just to find out that I have to re enter in my nandos card. Surely if I am logging in the card should be attached to my account... only reason why I got the app to begin with. Went to order the food got directed to to the website, cool, just to find out that I need to enter my Nando’s card again and then wait to an email to verify. Did that again. Went back to the website, refreshed asked for it again. At this point I almost gave up, only because the KFC near me was closed was the only reason y I went through the process again. I’ve never been so frustrated with a app before. At least before it wasn’t so bad. Need to sort out your app guys.

Four stars only because the App still doesn’t allow you to add the Nandos card to Apple Wallet, so I’m still carrying around a reward card for Nandos. Please add the membership card to the app at least!

Just downloaded the latest update in the hope that this hopeless App will finally work. Surprise, surprise the App is actually worse than before. You wouldn’t think that was possible but I guess they must be using twelve year olds to produce their latest attempt.
It’s impossible to update your profile with an existing loyalty card, or to go back into the profile once updated. Come on Nando’s, surely you must realise after months of poor reviews that your developers are total crap.

What’s the point?? Downloaded the app, asked me to create an account, then asked to verify email, then app asked whether collection or delivery and asked me to login again, selected delivery, then told can’t order delivery through app, go back to website, asked to log in again, then a message saying to join loyalty scheme, go to a store, collect a card, then enter into app. Sort your customer journeys out. This is officially too hard. Waste of time. Deleting app 10 mins after downloading it & now ordering lunch elsewhere..

If not it comes a close second, I have never ever encountered so many problems with a food App in my 60yrs if life, everyone I log in it says wrong info, I have lost count of the points I’ve lost through the frustration of not being able to log in even though my details are 100% correct it says they’re not and asks every time for me to log in again Grrrr. Where on earth have you gone with this update? Asked to log back in. Fails, even though the credentials are correct. Enter my Nandos card upon getting around the previous point (once in). Why ask for my Nandos card? Logged online and worked fine but only on Safari. Chrome fails. Nandos card format entry is failing in-app. It’s like you’ve done all you can to make it an impossible challenge for existing users. No point in having the app if it’s like this. Utter crap. My son can build an app which can use auth 0 successfully. Don’t download or update your existing apps. It’ll make you feel upset and extremely frustrated - I’m sure some people will resort to calling emergency services (sic).
