Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

Hornby magazine
what a great magazine full of reviews , layouts and tips on model railways all in a brilliant digital subscription , i do love the printed version but they take up too much room i won’t throw them away as i may need them in the future for a re-read or for reference but the digital version solves all them problems it’s the future for me on how to have books/ magazines etc & with battery technology getting better then the amount of time i get to read my hornby magazine will only increase even though it pretty good now so keep this great monthly subscription coming .

Digital modelling
Hornby magazine runs as smoothly as the opposition on the IPad. Only annoyance is the add for "great electric train show" popping up each time I go to have a read.

I have taken Hornby magazine from the beginning and recently switched from the paper to the online version. I feel that for anyone interested in model railways this is the best all-round publication - whereas some of the competitors seem a bit hard to digest or a bit too technical in places, I find this title easy to read and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of becoming, or already actively involved in, model railways, especially if they are working in the most popular UK scale, 00.

Great Magazine but crashes endlessly
This is a really enjoyable magazine but it never stays open long enough to actually read it...shame.
It always happens on zooming in...in fact, you can't zoom at all now.

The magazine is great and being able to read it on my ipad is nice, but the app itself is decidedly flaky. Crashes regularly and just isn't very stable.

Always crashing
This used to be a great app. Now it won't open properly, and crashes all the time. Tried reinstalling and anything else I can think of, but nothing makes any difference

The latest issue (June 2012) will not load past the front cover. Downloads fine but when it comes to reading it just crashes. I love this magazine and look forward to reading it. Please fix it quick!!
There are other model railway magazines out there but not as good so this need sorting ASAP.

Terrible
The magazine is great, but this app is awful. You get an alert to say the new edition is ready, and it doesn't show on opening the app. The app crashes repeatedly, mostly on opening.... But not always.
it has to be said, I am not convinced this is just Hornby mag as this also happens to British Railway Modelling. This has been mostly happening in the last few weeks, which was not immediately after ios6 so I think it's pocket mags.
Please, please fix. Now.

I am running io6 on my iPad, but the app keeps crashing.
I have bought one issue, which will not open beyond the initial page. Have deleted the app and re-installed, but still will not work.

Poor show
Does not work properly. Running on the latest iPad and I only get the front cover and a lot of black pages. Someone should fix this quickly, since the print magazine is good.

New issue problem
Every month the new issue will not load. It shows up without a price. I'm not sure if they are trying to encourage us to go buy the paper copy instead. It doesn't make sense that I can get my hands on the paper copy easier than the iPad version.
