Welcome to Ski Safari!
Ski Safari is where Animals, Avalanches and Action come together to create a new casual gameplay experience.
Our deep sleeping hero has to stay ahead of a relentless avalanche that threatens the local mountainsides. Sven, as we like to call him, can use animals to aid his escape from an icey end. Each of the hillside animals have different attributes to make a speedier escape. Penguins glide further, Yetis are tougher, Eagles soar to great heights, each of these can provide useful advantage for Sven. Sometimes on the slopes Sven can find fast Snowmobiles which can ferry multiple animals a maintain a very high top speed.
Staying ahead of the avalanche has its advantages and perks. Completing objectives can 'level up' Sven and increase his score multiplier. Riding animals, performing backflips add to the score and with an increased score multiplier Sven will rocketing up the highscore table with ease.

Good graphics and great fun!
I love how silly it is and the cute creatures to join you on your way. Little challenges on each go, but it doesn’t matter at all whether you meet them or not. All very lighthearted with laugh out loud moments! Exhilaration without any stress! Never a dull moment, upgrades available as you progress but no need to actually buy anything to enjoy it.. Game for any age! Always lifts my mood at the end of a tough day.

Very good but a rip off
This is a great game and a steal considering it's free! It's a rip off of 'Alto' which is a snowboard game on the App Store but they have done this very well, I got to 46,000 on my first go! Defo worth a try!

It's broken? You complete 3 tasks, stop playing. Then when you play again you have to do the 3 same tasks that you already completed every damn time!

Simple to operate and great fun to play

If you have ever wanted to ride a wolf with a yeti on your back and have a penguin hanging onto the wolfs tail while your all sliding down a mountain trying to outrun a avalanche then this game is for you!

This game is incredible. It's simple, refreshing, creative and most importantly, fun. Unlike your typical "in app purchases" game, this one doesn't nag you anytime and is an excellent value. I can be playing this hours on end. I also suggest playing this if you are actually going to ski; the music and mood are perfect. 100% Recommended for Everyone!

I accidentally purchased this game without realising it was a paid one (I never normally buy games) and was worried that it would be a waste of an accident. But after playing it, this app is so much fun and defiantly worth the purchase if you're considering it

Great game but may be a glitch in update
Would give this game a 5 star but reckon there's a bug in this update. I've noticed after I've used my rocket boost and the blue boost they font count down no more. Both say I've 13 left each time. Also sometimes when touching on the rocket the game crashes and goes to home screen. Anyone else's doing the same????

Consolation for ski holiday I couldn't get to go on!
I am not one for games, in fact I had never bought a game before this one. But feeling miserable when at the last minute I couldn't get to go on a much anticipated ski holiday, and reading the reviews on this app, I went for it. Yes it is strangely addictive, but most of all, it's great pleasure. I love the scenery and the backflips.

Excellent!
Simple gameplay mechanic, but absolutely full of detail and subtle complexity. Loads to do, tonnes of things to unlock, and the updates usually have all kinds of fun additions to the game. There's a little bit of micropayment stuff in there but it's all optional and doesn't get in the way of just playing the game. I wish all iPhone games were this polished, thoughtful and fun!

Great fun
I'm still a novice at this, can't work out how not to crash from burning speed yet as control seems basic, so getting some great crashes, which make me chuckle, but not such high scores, but it makes me want to carry on playing. Would recommend it to others. also my eagles just seem to go up and up, then explode, is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Just a suggestion, but perhaps it could be played with 2 or more players? As my partner keeps asking me what I' m laughing at, and then wants to play and I can't get it back off him!
A return to the menu, or menu tab, as I needed a reminder on instructions, but had to learn the hard way, when I first started. I thought I was running away from the yetis, not trying to use them.

It's really addictive and fun, I spend most of my time trying to beat new records but you can also unlock different things such as jet skis etc. you use these and loads of other things to help you get as far as possible, I practically told you what the game is but all I can say is that I really do recommend this a lot. You won't regret buying it.

Great games
This is a great wee game for passing time. Basically skiing but with extra tasks to keep you interested ... although I keep being tasked with flying an eagle through a cave which is a bit annoying!
Best of all, there are no added costs involved in playing the game. The coins you collect along the way are more than enough to buy boosts etc.
A very worthwhile download!

Needs an UPDATE, NOW!!!
I am getting frustrated at how long it's taking to get an update for this app! I have been playing this game for months but the last few weeks it has been crashing whenever I try to open it when I'm not connected to the internet! This is really frustrating as I only play it on my commute to work, which is underground where there's no internet connection. Sort it out! Thanks, other than that GREAT GAME!!!!!!!

Best game so far..
I love this game! I never EVER spend money on games etc but with this I was more than happy to do so! I originally had the free version on my iPod touch but since getting the iphone5 ( which made a hell of a difference to gameplay!) I had to download it again due to syncing problems.. Honestly the best game I've played on here! please make even more levels!! Did such a great job with this, and the updates are fantastic, never had a single problem!

Brilliant game, simple controls, loads to unlock
This is my 1st game review, as I wouldn't normally spare the time to bother, but Ski Safari is well worth it!
I managed to get this game when it was free for 24hrs, but after playing I would happily have paid up to £2.99 for it.
Maybe the developers should think about doing a lite version with just the 1st level to play (but no ads!).
I would expect this to drive a massive increase in sales and help to make this one of the highest rated apps on the App Store!
Brendan Watts & Shaun Eustace, you are brilliant, and I would love to see more games of this caliber from you in the future.

Barely playable on my 8gb iPhone 4
What the heck guys, this game is unplayable on my iPhone 4??? It's so juddery you can't control the whale at all... Really disappointed I play this all the time on my mums 4S and love this game.
It's not a phone fault either because I thought it was - a couple of other games act the same - so apple gave me a new phone, downloaded this app - same problem even when this app is the only app installed on the whole phone. Please please test this game on an 8gb iPhone 4 and sort the bugs out because I'm gutted.

Such a fantastic game, totally love and recommend it. Only downside is that it does take a long time to retrieve all the unlocks less you want but I guess some people like that. Amazing!
At first glance this games interface simply blew me away, then after further inspection I realised this wasn't just any game we were dealing with here, no no, this was a good game.
I entered my first game, and thought myself, wow, I kept jumping on penguins and yetis, whilst riding snow- mobiles! This game had so many features that were simply gobsmacking!
I got more and more into this game and have recently achieved the 600,000 score mark, it was a great day to be British and to serve my queen and country.
Overall a mind blowing app that I simply cannot get enough off, I'm now saving for the mysterious ninja costume in the store, wish me luck!

Ski safari is easy to play and really fun. It has a great custimisetion store and the challenges are hard but not impossible.I think that to make the game even better Ski safari should add in a forward tilt button to double the epicness on those flips

This game was a source of enjoyment for many a hour. I love the graphics and it doesn't bother you with annoying notifications. The only thing that could improved is the loading speed. On my iPod 4 it takes about 10 seconds to get to the home screen (which I think is great) but if you start playing before the game centre logs you in (which is approximately 30 seconds) it lags or crashes! About from this though more levels please and make the Halloween level cheaper!

I had the previous version of this game which was really good. This one is even better. You can collect the coins and change the main character. There are different snow routes. A lot more interaction. I can't rate this high enough. A game of this quality for free.

I never write reviews however due to the greatness of this game felt obliged to pay dividends to the creators of the most addictive game on the iPhone!
I got this game when it was a free download, however would easily pay 69p for it! I first got it, then got my girlfriend to get it, then her sister and so on!
We have put some serious hours into this game, as it is sooo addictive and fun for all ages! Please put more levels and achievements on it!!! Also a multiplayer would be good where your both on the screen, with the opposite player being slightly ghosted to see who can make it the furthest etc!

Best free game I've ever played. Easy to pick up and play but if you put the time in, it has depth. You can choose to buy stuff for real money if you want to or you can just keep playing and unlock them that way and its not full of annoying ads either.

Extremely addictive!!
Got this game just to have a game I could pick up for 5mins and put down again. For the moments you find yourself waiting around for someone or a bus etc...I get so competitive at unlocking new items or costumes or gaining more stars that I'm on it for a couple of hours!!! Defo recommend this app.

A great time-killer
AFab game! I can't remember if I bought it or got it free but either way it's a game you should definitely own!
It's got a 1 star rating from me due to a MASSIVE glitch!
When the skier is being carried by an eagle if the player goes for as much height as possible by keeping a digit on the screen until the eagle let's go at the highest point or the player removes his digit when around/ near or somewhere near the highest point as the skier drops back to the mountain the skier doesn't land on it! It looks like he falls behind it as he disappears from the screen and DIES! This has also happened to me when the eagle has been a lot lower! This is a major annoyance which needs to be sorted out as one of the reasons for getting carried by the eagle is to gain height so that lots of backflips can be achieved and the player can get the multiplier up really easily; when after getting the multiplier up (even if it's just to times 1) the skier dies because of this stupid glitch it is EXCEEDINGLY and EXTREMELY annoying and frustrating! Especially so if the player is on a good game or better!

Fantastic game!! But Please add more store items for purchase like a Rock Crusher and an item that allows you to have multiple items selected at the same time etc, after purchasing the coin doubler customers deserve more to work towards with their coins!

This game will become a Huge hit and a classic forever if the developers added multiplayer! Imagine it, sliding down the slopes in multiplayer mode and constantly running in to friends and other players doing their own things, and the crazy interaction you could have with them, together on a Snowmobile or Wolf etc or racing people! It would be so Fun...

Just buy it! This is the next angry birds! By far the best game I've got. And I've got many great games. This should be the top of 25. Can't be any better. You'll regret not buying this. For the rest of the day you'll fell like you should've got it. Just buy it!

Excellent game that keeps you coming back.
When I first downloaded this, I was annoyed that it didn't have any 'levels' to complete. How could you ever finish the game, I wondered.
But this is actually what makes it so addictive. There is no end point. Only your own desire to get further, score higher and complete more challenges.

The game is outstanding.
It has beautiful graphics and simple controls, the more you play the more you get addictive to it. This game maybe one day be better than angry bird etc.
The only problem I had was it drains the battery abit and iCloud support did not work for me.
But overall I would recommend this.

AWESOME GAME
This is by far the best game on the app store. Frame rate issues are very rare and the game runs amazingly 99% of the time. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys playing games on their iPhone iPod or iPad as I have it on all of mine and it's looks Immaculate on all of them. I don't usually comment on games but I thought what the hey might as well because this game deserves it, i remember seeing it for the first time on a mates iPhone and I was like yup gotta get it and it's even better on my iPad with a bigger screen to indulge yourself in. The great cartoony graphics make me feel like a kid again and the yetties are hilarious lol....so overall I'm lovin the sounds, lovin the colors, lovin the boosts while playing. I do however agree with a previous comment the bonus items are a bit swag -_- especially if your building up all your coins you want something a little more worth your hard work crashing into rocks and flipping through the air but other than that an extremely addictive game and 69p buy buy buy!!!!

This app really is great, it's fun and challenging without being frustrating. The music is great and adds a little extra to the experience when playing. Also the addition of "perks" and different costumes etc from the store add to the longevity. It's also nice that there are no coin packs etc that cost really money to buy, it's all in-game which is refreshing with so many developers now jumping on that band wagon. Overall an excellent game that's lots of fun. Definitely recommend it.

Defiant hit the nail on the head.
This was one of the first Apps I downloaded when I got my new iPad and it is truly amazing. They have addressed all complaints, the retina support is outstanding, it is truly beautiful, the first Ski I took with the new retina support was terrible because I was so distracted by all these new beautiful graphics, the new level is great, not only is it new graphically, but it also adds new obstacles. I am glad they added a point to collecting coins other than for the boosts with the new shop, i was hoping they'd do that. they have pretty much added everything this App needed. It is definitely my favourite App.

A very entertaining distraction
Sometimes the simplest things in life give the most pleasure. Don't be fooled though, some clever skills have gone into programming this game and things like parallax scrolling (look it up if you don't know ;p) some nifty physics, and a good dose of humour keep the player busy watching all sorts of stuff going on whilst desperately trying to beat their score on the last run. Soundtrack gets in your head and you'll find yourself humming it on those odd moments 🎶. Simple, Present, Entertaining, Challenging👌........ and you're still reading this instead of buying it right now why? 😄

Great Game, Great Fun
It's one simple, clean and fun concept and it's compulsive, challenging and rewarding!
At first it will seem like a light throwaway game but soon you will find you need a trigger finger and a plan. It's not terribly deep, but without goals - some set in game and other self imposed strategies- you will find your progress thwarted.
The presentation is great, especially the sound effects and the music which is catchy but never annoying! Grab this! You won't be sorry.

It's a simple game with just one backdrop and one theme which has you just tapping the screen to jump at the right time. However it is massive fun!
The one thing thats annoying is they way your goals are shown in a large box out after you started the game and so obscuring your view. It's not major but simply showing it before you start would surely be more helpful.
But it's a great game and one I just keep on playing.

Great but...
This game is great but it needs more extras... Like jetpack joyride it needs a stash, or in his case a cabin. More extras and more achievements would give me even more of an incentive to play. Maybe a snowboard, polar bears, Eskimos,
Being pulled by dogs.... Etc.
Also might benefit from having more moves... Don't know how to incorporate that but more than a back flip would be awesome.
Overall great game tho.

Instantly pickupable fun
One of those great little games that you can pick up and get straight into in a second. Simple concept, simple (but well executed) controls and enough achievements to keep you progressing.
If you like Tiny Wings or Solipskier then you'll love this.
Oh and you can play one handed - great if you have to get on a busy Tube in rush hour!
