I’ve downloaded several times your app but it’s impossible to open, not register neither log on. Always “a problem has happened “ and I cannot open it. Best company, never had significant delays. People who badmouth the company should PAY ATTENTION to avoid extra fees. Everything is written and explained thoroughly before any extra transaction- how to check in, when to check in, how much luggage costs- even if it’s carried on board luggage or luggage 20+kg for the hold. Could never complain about them- ai airline is not a playground and rules are in place to be followed. You wouldn’t complain for extra charges elsewhere- pay attention are read the company policies before complaining!

Ryanair are generally pretty good, especially the prices - however;
- my Ryanair phone app and pc account don’t link up ( same user name and password ) !
- on payment, you can’t check the final booking details in case you’ve made an error
- finally, my personal pique, on searching for flights out of London, you have to specify the exact airport, rather than ( say Easy Jet ) All London airports- a small thing, but annoying and time consuming.

Very pleasantly surprised that my cancelled flight app experience was excellent. Obviously an amazing development team.
Several short and clear clicks later and I had new return flights, on different dates to a different destination. The same destination we ruled out when originally booking due to flight costs.
Basically we had flights worth e360 and these were replaced with new flights to a warmer winter sun destination on new dates that suited us better at 0 cost. The new flights would have cost e800+
I feel like I have “done a Ryanair” on Michael O’Leary, wonderful.

“TIME UPDATE”

Version 3.164.0
So if your flight gets delayed, the app will just pop up and say “TIME UPDATE”, with the scheduled departure time crossed out, and a later one added. The 2 words that are not on there, but really should: “Sorry” and “Delay”.
This unbelievable. Ryanair's service has sunk to new lows.
Im guessing delays are now part of their standard operational procedures. They're just expected, and departure times are more like loose guidelines. So they keep us “updated” on wether they feel like sending a flight on time or not.
I love how you have to show up on time for your flight or forfeit your booking, but when an airline fails to meet basic levels of a service WE PAY FOR, the best they can do is try and sell us insurance.
Imagine you went to a restaurant, you order your food, then 2 hours later you finally get an order that is cold and isnt what you ordered.
The restaurant manager walks up to you, and goes: “We are sorry, but this is what we can provide you with now. No refunds, and if you don't like it, you’re always welcome to eat somewhere else next time.”
Absolute joke.

Some bugs here and there - such as asking us to arrive at the airport by the same time as it wants us to be through security and into departure lounge. That happened for our flight from Malaga to Belfast on Saturday.
Ryanair ought to push the boat out a bit and leverage “Live Activities” as part of dynamic island to show key info in realtime such as, showing what gate the flight is due to depart from, and how long until boarding time.
United Airlines is leveraging this and is showcased in Apples Wanderlust event.

Pay for a cabin case , check-in case, legroom seats& NO LEGROOM seats and everything else ! So I started booking a flight £16 but had to update my card so ‘SESSION EXPIRED’ by which the ticket was £39 + check in case£25:49 . At each step it was highlighted for the UPGRADE where it should be the CONTINUE WITH YOUR OPTION. So you automatically tap the top yellow section instead of the bottom UNhighlighted one which is the chosen option this is misleading the customer and it is done in all sections. This is NOT A CHEAP FLIGHT AND HOW CAN THEY SAY ONE PRICE AND THEN ANOTHER -a bus/tube/train ticket is the same price regardless of when it was purchased .SO WHY IS IT ALLOWED FOR PLANES TO CHANGE THE PRICE FOR A BOOKING AND THEN ALL THE OTHER PRICE INCURSIONS? Is it legal for them to do this? Id be interested in hearing more about this if anyone knows the laws of how it works ?

I’m a nervous traveller and will go on trips in my own so I need the reassurance of a quick and easy booking process - and all that! Ryanair has made things very user friendly and efficient.
We suspect they may soon start charging for the air we’re breathing but that’s ok, at least we know how they work. I think they’re brilliant. I’m due to fly tomorrow and hope the plane journeys there and back will be a smooth and clean experience - if the planes haven’t been cleaned to a high standard and the staff are upsetting and impolite rest assured I will complain, that’s what I do. So far so good! One happy customer.

Made to pay for seats

Version 3.163.0
I tried to check in on the app about 8 hours before departure using the random seat allocation which is free. Despite being within the 24-2hour window before flight departure the app would first offer us the option but on the next screen ask us to choose seats and decline check in if we did not chose seats. There was no option to call or contact customer service from the site on the app that we had the difficulty with.
I would not have been able to check in online and would potentially risk paying an airport checking fee if I had not continued with check in and paid the £8 per seat.
This I have been made to pay above what I needed to pay, willing to go with random seat allocation. This is not a glitch on the app, as it has happened to me and some of my friends before. It appears that this is a convenient way for Ryanair to earn additional money and stressing out their customers just a few hours before take off. This should not be legal, as customers are duped out of their money whilst made to believe they can chose free random allocation. A refund of the seat booking fee should be undertaken without further need to prompt Ryanair.
Very unhappy customer.

If any other airline was flying the route, I'd use them.
Why?
Ryanair did a dirty on me a few years back so I avoid them where I can and tell I tell my staff to only use Ryanair if there's no other airline available. Their customer service is nonexistent. It would honestly be easier to talk to God.
Ryanair's check-in is beyond painful. How many times can you get asked if you want to book seats? Want to check in now? Fine, but you can only do so if pay to select seats. You want to check in now for your return flight? Fine, but you have to select seats and pay.
If you accept that you are paying next to nothing and have to waste time dealing with processes set up to get you to pay more, then fine. I just find Ryanair horrible to deal with. There isn't a single process set up to be easy - everything is about getting more money out of you.

When checking in on the app, it didn’t give me the option to choose random seats until the 3rd time reloading the app. I almost assumed I had to pay again (there way of trying to trick you into paying more?). I have also had many issues with my password not being recognised between the App and the web browser, resulting in me being locked out of my account on several occasions and having to reset my password. It takes forever for the boarding pass to load on the app, even if you’ve opened it already. If you go out of the app, it’s like it needs to generate it all over again! When I was in the airport queue, I got to the front and the app took so long to load that I went from being at the front of the queue to one of the last getting on the plane

This was my first flight with Ryanair and it will be my last. There were delays with the departure flight from London stansted to Milan so we got to the hotel really late. They then cancelled the return flight as there were strikes in Milan so we booked onto a flight the following day, meaning we had to pay for another night in the hotel. This Irish company better refund me my money for the extra hotel cost but I know they won’t. On top of that the new flight we booked was also delayed so we returned home really late. My impression of this company is that they are self serving and focused solely on profit and not on customer care, and then I remembered the little Irish man who started the company was awful from what I remember reading in the press. I’ll stick with BA, EasyJet and even Wizz Air for low cost trips and suggest you do the same.

Service is terrible online and in person

 –
Ryan air disappointment
 –
2023-01-23
The service online service lots of hidden costs which initial makes you think your getting value for money but then you might as well pay for a more expensive airline so at least you know what you are paying for and you don't get left short changed. The customer service when you meet the staff in person is even worse than the online service. People are a rude and need to be retained in how to speak to paying member of the public. Which is very disappointing because at not point should a bad online service be better than when you speak to staff and as for help... I'm just lost for word but people reap what they sow. But if you If your looking for a disappointing service fly Ryanair they will let you down.

Pandemic - And charges for late check in

Sadly I was never refunded for the three flights I had booked and that were cancelled during the pandemic.
II was once told by Ryanair that ‘I was too late to check in’, after much arguing and them claiming that ‘the passengers had boarded’, I was charged a large fee. So I get to the terminal where I waited with all the other passengers for half a hour, then hopped on a bus which then kept us on the runway for one hour… it was hot and claustrophobic and people were starting to panic (yes and I had paid because I was late?).
So just be ready, you pay for what you get and this is as budget bonkers as you will get - if they can sting you in any way they will

On our way back from France to Ireland our flight got delayed by 2 hours that made us miss our second flight. I called the company for a re-routing free of charge on an evening flight, the guy over the phone says that ryanair doesn’t do connection, (which it’s true since it was two different bookings), that we have to pay a 60€ fee for changing our flight for a later one in the evening, plus the price of 2 new air tickets. Like it was our fault if we miss our second flight ! They consider your case when it’s over 3 hours delay. Stone hearted company that has zero insight about business, we’v e been flying 6 times a year for the past 6 years, won’t be with ryanair anymore. It’s even more disgusting knowing that the hostess at Bristol airport says that the 2 ryanair evening flight were nearly empty. Ryanair prefer fly 2 empty flights than offering a commercial gesture… Anyway being stone hearted and dumb is bad for business… End of the story, we made our way back with aer Lingus the next day, the air tickets were way cheaper, the price difference paid for the hotel at the Hilton Bristol airport. Anyway wish you the best…

If you are a disabled traveller then avoid these at all costs. The special assistance customer support service give you incorrect advice, they are rude and hang up if they are unable to answer your question!
After sending me a blank letter which should be confirmation of the medication and medical items I need to travel with they then said it will be resent to me 24 hours before I’m due to fly. I explained I may not have time to organise this to be printed out and if I have another other options and they replied no and said they can’t help me any further and hung up!
I’m now in the position where I don’t know if I can travel or not, if I will receive the email in time or if it will be a blank page again and have no one to call at Ryanair for help!
I guess you get the service you pay for! Never again!

After trying to check in on your app for 24 hours at least 10 times and unable to do so due to fault on app we arrived early to the airport 3 hours and 20 minutes prior to departure. Went to the Ryanair desk to ask for help checking in. Along with at least 10 other people who had also experienced difficulties checking in online.
The lady told us we were all too early and to go away and come back 2 hours before departure so we sat and waited, went back to desk at the time we were told, for her to then tell us that we were too late and check in was closed! Absolutely ridiculous! We were then told if we wanted to fly we had to pay £55 each!!
We were and still are so angry about this. We tried to check in before but weren’t able to do so. The manager arrived and told everyone to send a complaint and we should receive our money back.
I’ve made a complaint, but so far nothing.
What a horrid start to our few days away for my 40th birthday.

I have been a passenger with Ryanair since they started and I have no complaints whatsoever! They have made it possible for me to travel all across Europe and to do so frequently! I live in a different country to my family and being able to fly to them for less than a bus or train ticket in most European cities has brought my family to my doorstep, quite literally! Their assistance team who have supported my parents on their travels is wonderful and has enabled my parents to visit family overseas while being cared for and guided through the airport by a wonderful team of staff members! Well done Ryanair! Your staff deserve a bonus and a pay rise!!!

Due to major family illness forcing us to change our flights and make new booking we were shocked to find that in changing our flights we were charged both for the original flights and new flights plus flight change fees plus additional add ones despite the information on line suggesting that all the add ins , seats . Fast track etc would simply be transferred to new flight not recharged . This is extremely deceiving byRyanair as itwould have been consideranly cheaper to have simly made new separate booking for new flights .at no stage before committing to payment was there a clear breakdown of charges being incurred . Instead , after payment we were shocked to see what Ryanairhad charged as a penalty
Having booked with and defended Ryanair over many years as a no frills airline we are really disgusted at their immoral tactics .

It pains me to have to book another flight with you but I have actually booked 2 flights one on the 26th and one on the 27th just in case you decide to cancel one. I have already had my outbound flight with RA cancelled yesterday from Birmingham airport. This has cost me £600 more in re booking new flights for my family of 5, 5 train tickets back to my home town as you cancelled with 2 hours to go at a cost of £100. A taxi trip to Leeds airport costing £160 and re booking car hire in Barcelona through RA costing me £400. So a total of £1260 for our flight out to start our holiday a day late. Giving you one stars is painful. On top of that you tell me my refund is waiting in my wallet but yes you guessed it it’s empty so more wasted time trying to sort that out as well. That’s what happens when you cancel a flight that you were happy to take on. Maybe you should think about booking in flights only if you can honour them. I don’t expect you to reply to this comment simply because that would be good customer service!!

I flew with Ryanair from Glasgow Preswick, this was a joke!
I booked my flight flight originally for £19:99 and I was confused at how low this flight price was but no! Don’t be fooled this is only the start of the increase of the price! You now need to pay for baggage and also carry on baggage which if free on other airlines.
And ‘what a surprise’ when I got there flight has a 5 hours cancellation but no, not only that there was no reason to it we passengers where not told anything we where left to fend for ourself while we waited in the departure area for 5 hours with no reasoning while the plain sat on the tarmac. And when we finally got onto the flight I was greeted to dirt seats and the safety card was celebrated to the front of my seat. My tray table has previous wrappers on it and my seat belt buckle had snapped.
BUT NO! This isn’t the end of the problem when I got to my destination in Portugal they then declined my passport because it was less than 6 months till expiration. I was then stuck in Portugal till I got on a TAP Portugal flight back to the UK.
From my Experience I would never fly RyanAir again.
As I do know people with similar issues with this company
But I also know people who have had no trouble with them
I am only reviewing what happened to me!
Thank you if you read this!

The payment system needs some work. I made several attempts on scanning the card, to which I got a message that the card was wrong. Interestingly, I noted that the section where the expiry date ought to go, scanned the “Valid from” date instead. I couldn’t quite get it why that happened, therefore, I added the card manually. The section where you’d add the 16 digits took the whole width of the screen. Once finished it would take me to the next section, i.e., the validity section. This, however, did not have any corresponding description, so therefore, wasn’t sure what it stood for. I’m quite intuitive and managed to solve this puzzle, however, these sections should have names so users know what they stand for. Finally, after making several attempts, I had to redo the booking and guess what, I lost a good offer, and spent £30 more. Having to work out how to add a card it’s a poor display of user experience.

Misleading baggage allowance in app

My baggage allowance shown in app indicated I purchased “plus” option and that it included priority check in & 2 cabin bags. When it came to check in though I was made to declare number and kind of bags and either pay £20 additionally for 2 cabin bags, or choose 1 small bag and take a risk that upon arrival to the airport I would be charged £69 for the 2nd bad which supposedly was already included in my “plus” option. Person on the chat i contacted to verify said 2nd bag was never included and therefore I needed to pay. Either way I paid extra , but would be even more if I showed up at the airport believing I had 2 bags based on the app info. All the support person had to say was that web version doesn’t say anything about 2nd bag being included in the “plus” package and that I should use web rather than app. Why would there be a difference in the first place? This is misleading and looks like technique to get extra money. Not happy customer at all.

I have downloaded the application first time on iPhone. It is working pretty well however time out is very short to read through all the information and policies to agree with. If you properly read terms and conditions and you click agree usually application times out already. Picture of the food is 20 times bigger than icon of your boarding pass or check in icon.
The most important information is hard to find and least important items are glorified and highlighted.
The app works pretty well and smooth but many pages do not have cancel button. For example if I go to change my seat it’s not clear that I will be charged £6 additional fee even if I already paid £20 to choose my seat. It will let me happily go to the area where I can change the seat. Only there I see it will cost me £6. And also there is no back or cancel button. I had to use the arrow in the left top corner to go to back home. I am 90% positive it is designed purposely like that to confuse people. And pay more money. I don’t mind to pay for additional services for very cheap ticket although my £13 ticket cost me at the end £160 :-) but that’s all good. But application should treat a human being professionally and with dignity and not treat me in patronising way.

I booked my flight via a third party online travel agent. I then discovered that I was unable to download an electronic boarding pass on either the third party app or the Ryan air app. There is a £55 fee for a paper copy of the boarding pass at the airport. Fortunately the member of staff at Stansted printed the boarding passes for free which is in line with their policy as stated on their website. The issue came on the return flight when again I could not download the electronic boarding pass and the staff did not comply with the policy of issuing free paper boarding passes to customers who have booked through a third party travel agent.
I raised this issue with the customer services when I arrived at Stansted who didn’t assist, except to admit that “Ryan air is the worst airline” for hidden charges. It was my first and last flight with Ryanair

Not only did we have to suffer the inconvenience of Ryan Air cancelling our return flight c3 months ago we also have to wait still whilst you process cash refund rather than your default method us accepting vouchers we don’t want.
When explaining this to a rather naive (or well versed to make it more difficult than it should be) assistant at Ryanair they continued to try to cancel the outward flight.
I have taken copies of the conversation for clarity or training purposes as you call them.
The assistant assured me the flights would be refunded in the next 7 days but still we have no refund
Heaven knows when it will arrive but when it dies I look forward to using other airlines.
Your reputation stretches beyond my complaint but this supports the overriding evidence that customer service within Ryanair is abysmal
No doubt this won’t make your lessons learned or top 10 complaints dashboard but if nothing else it does provide me with a vehicle to feedback my anger

Ryanair … the first app I go to when I’m looking for a flight. I have a house in Spain and a caravan in Wales. Sometimes it is cheaper to go to the house in Spain. Yes there are a lot of rules you have to follow and with the added Covid requirements it does add a little more stress.
Don’t complain if you’ve not bought a seat and you are not seated together. Don’t complain if you are asked to pay for the 2nd bag you try to take on instead of paying for check in. Don’t moan when it takes longer to board because they are checking all the requirements to allow you into the country you are flying to. The app has a way of uploading all the documents so they are all in one place.

3 years ago, if you had the same reservation , you were guaranteed that you will seat near your partner you shared the reservation number with!
Not anymore! You have to pay (for a service you used to have) something like 20% from the ticket price! Shame on you!
Last week (Sunday 30 August 2020) I paid a seat to stay near my daughter, as the flight appeared on your app as being 99%full. We were on row 23 all 6 seats were taken ( us plus another 4) However, the plain was less than 40% full, in spite of the fact that on app was shown almost full! More, 4 rows in front of us 21 (A-F) and 22(A-F) were completely EMPTY!! Whilst we were 6 persons on row 23!!! What about 2 m distance ??
Just words, no facts!! That is why I scored you 2 stars!

How is it possible that this app scores a mark of 4.4 when the overwhelming number of reviews are very low ratings? Just do the arithmetic on averaging out a few dozen ratings and you'll see there's fakery going on. Moreover, look closely at some of the heavily critical reviews and yet they're scoring 5*. Something's badly wrong. Of course there's overspill between users' opinion of the app and their opinion of the airline. OK, we're supposed to be rating the app and not Ryanair's horrible attitude to its customers. Well go no further, because the app is slow, clunky and unresponsive. One thing you can be sure of is that O'Leary has never tried to use it on his phone, because if he had, he'd have fired his IT team long ago. He could take a lead from his countryman, former Irish PM Bertie Ahern, who owned a pet food company and freely admitted to tasting the canned dog food to make sure it was up to scratch.

To receive my boarding tickets I have to add a email they sent me with a 6 digits but there not recognised. Called customer service twice today been on the phone for hours once I got cut off & would of been charged loads was on the phone over 3 hours. When I got through the guy didn’t have any of my information like my flight wasn’t booked. He fobbed me off the phone & said yes I will add your son to special assistance. When I got off the phone I thought how can he add my son if he has none off my information. Last holiday they sat my 9 year old on a different seat & he has autism he had a melt down. Without being able to log in we can’t sit by each other probably so they try to get extra money out of me & I will be charged at the airport for boarding tickets when it’s not my fault. Had a very stressful day because of them, when my holiday should be relaxing.

I like using the app. It has taken me more than four hours to book my flights today. Three phone calls to Ryanair. Countless attempts to change the payment details on my app so that I could book my flights and pay via the app. Absolutely no good at all. I wasn’t able to make the payment. The app wouldn’t accept the change to my payment details. One lady at Ryanair was very helpful and did talk me through what I needed to do on the website. However the changes didn’t work.
Eventually I gave up and used my partners phone. I went onto Ryanair website on his phone although I did go in through my email address. So I’m at a loss as to why things worked for me on his phone. I did manage to book my flights and pay with the same card I had been trying to use previously. I then went back in on my own phone via the app to check in. The check in worked fine. I still haven’t managed to change the payment details. This will need to be looked into as the card details currently on record have expired. This has taken a big part out of my day today. Has been extremely frustrating.
I trust someone will look into this and get back to me please.
Kind regards
Tracey Holmes

Unlike many Ryanair customers, I accept the way in which ‘extras’ such as baggage allowances and seat allocations are added on to the cost of flights. Most people appear to totally forget what excellent value for money Ryanair offers by the time they get to the check-in stage - not to mention the range of destinations the airline offers which would otherwise be inaccessible.
However, I do feel it is unfortunate that the whole booking experience is made to feel like a game of cat and mouse (obviously, the customer being the mouse) - where you are repeatedly ‘caught out’ by the booking process - or having your arm twisted into spending more money than you originally envisaged. I could give you several examples of this, but I am sure you’re aware of what I’m referring to.
When travelling for leisure purposes, I am happy to spend money on an improved travel experience, but I am always left with a rather unpleasant taste in my mouth after emerging from the Ryanair booking process. And as someone who very much supports Ryanair as a low-cost flights operator, I feel this is unfortunate and should be addressed - perhaps by restructuring the booking process and emphasing what excellent value for money you’re offering - even with the ‘extras’.

Poor app and website

1. Both the app and the website are designed to make customers to buy extra options to their trip (eg: forcing them to pay for a seat). Someone less skilful in dealing with apps and websites can easily fall into the trap. During the check in process, on the first go, there are only 3 options: to buy a seat or to check-in later. One has to close the app and start the check in again. Only then a third option (random allocated seat) is available.
2. When booking tickets for 2 or more people, one has to make separate reservations if one has a check in luggage and one does not, for example. This means that the members of the group will be seated randomly in the airplane. What if is a mum with a child and one check in bag? Or husband and wife with one bag?
Ryanair has no interest in reducing pollution by encouraging ppl to review their luggage weight.

Clicked the option to automatically add to the booking - Add Priority Boarding and 2 cabin bags for all flights 18 Euro Total cost - or a second option to add manually for a flight - from 9Euro -.
I clicked the 18 Euro option and it only gave me this for the return flight, not for ‘all flights’ in the booking(there were 2 flights in the booking).
On the phone I was told that there was no availability for Priority Boarding on the outward flight and that between clicking the link and paying, the Priority Boarding ceiling must have been reached! But in that case why wasn’t I charged just the one flight at 9 Euro. It didn’t give me the option not to take the PB for the return flight only and I already had a 2 hold bag on the return flight so I didn’t need PB+2 on the return.
Still, they con you by having to pay for extras without giving you the correct information.
At the time of booking I thought that by paying for seats it had included 2 cabin bags. Probably my bad for not reading the extensive small print.

1. Ryanair send me an email (received into spam account unhelpfully but appropriately) to say I am not allowed any hand luggage on my RETURN flight (we are already at our destination and this is therefore awkward)....
2. Ryanair send another email (why should I be checking my emails, I’m on holiday) to inform I should check in now or you will be charged £55 if you do it at the airport desk.....
3. Checking in now means paying for my seat (I believed I was getting a seat when I bought my flight)....
4. My partner is not a UK citizen, and apparently cannot have a mobile boarding pass (she can with EasyJet, funny that), so she has to print one to avoid a charge (where are we getting this printer from away from home)
Summary: My trip away has caused me two episodes of feeling sick that a company should be allowed to treat its customers with such little respect. The customers make the business and I hope at some point those customers collectively realise this and unmake it.

Ok so firstly the app is a ball of #%#%, the service on the phone was good and helpful but all in all I’m very unhappy with the service, not on a human level because they were very helpful but on a business level they’re awful, they purposely sit people away from each other to get the extra seating money even though I payed for a seat I was still sat away from my partner and the lady in between us was happy to move because she had been sat in that random seat half a plane away from her group of 10 people as if just to make us both have to pay. If you want more money then ask but don’t be sneaky! The small amount of money isn’t the problem, it’s the trickery. Now I’m about to fly home half a plane away from the missus again and I can’t select any seats close together because just as it was on the way in there’s people randomly sat in middle seats all over. And it’s my fault, my partner won’t talk to me, well done Ryan air, congratulations for causing an argument. Cinema seats won’t sell separate because they know people want to sit together but I guess a 4 hour flight is different, if I could pay to change it I would but sadly those random seats that are filled in an awful way just can’t be moved

Totally inaccessible.

Oh dear, yet another App where the designers have paid absolutely no attention to the visually impaired!
Come on, it’s not that difficult. Start by giving all buttons and links alt-text so screen readers can tell the blind user what the button actually does rather than leaving it for us to press everything to find out where it goes, only to discover it either logs us out or clears all the information we have entered.
Ryan Air’s website is equally difficult to navigate and use with a screen reader, especially when it comes to reserving the seats. So I hoped the App would be better.
Yet again my independence has been taken away because someone forgot about the blind person and made no attempt at making what could be a great App accessible.
Please Ryan Air fix this issue and make your booking service inclusive to all your customers, after all it is 2019 and disabled people do want to fly too!

The app never remembers my details so I have to keep logging back in which is inconvenient if I don’t have my reservation to hand.
It’s also very slow when trying to check in and get boarding passes. This makes me worried about using the app to check in for the return journey when I’m abroad, I would be relying on this to work as I will have no access to a printer to print our boarding passes.
I also think it’s a ridiculous seat allocation system; I’ve not paid to reserve seats as I thought that me and my two travelling partners will be allocated seats together if there are any, that’s what’s happened on every flight I’ve ever been on before. However we have been allocated seats apart, even though there are loads of seats available together, furthermore we have been allocated seats in the middle of rows, both of these tactics are presumably to try to force people to pay extra for seats together which I think is very very cheeky and unnecessary.

The app works perfectly , it’s quick and easy to use. Never had issues. I travel very often with Ryanair and very rarely had issues. Departs on time , lands on time , luggage is stored safely , the flight itself is smooth. The crew I found to be the weak spot , they don’t look the part , most of the time look bored , not sure they are provided the right training. I know Ryanair isn’t a great employer and this reflects in the staff they hire. Lack of rights and very low pay rate take the best talents away from Ryanair. I guess the only thing the company really cares about it’s money , pure and simple. I’d like them to be more ethicality correct with their workers , I think in the long term this will make a different in terms of competitive advantage to other airlines.

Your latest app upgrade said you had more choice in what currency to pay in but I was only given the option to pay in euros for my return flight from Faro to Leeds Bradford airport.
On another matter. I occasionally change my flight plans and my seat goes to waste and is empty when you could reallocate it if you had some way of contacting you to say I won’t be flying that day. I don’t want anything for it but would like to know the seat could be used by someone else. I know of others that do this. This would be more environmentally friendly too as the plane is better full and someone might have wanted that seat.

Having lived through the bombardmentvof eMails in the run up instructing me what I would be charged if my socks were the wrong colour or if my child’s hair was tied up in an unacceptable fashion I managed to get through without incurring additional fees. I couldn’t check in till the last minute (of course) as I refused to pay £45 to reserve seats so we were, as is customary broken up just for the sake of it. Entertainingly my 14 year old daughter was assigned an emergency exit seat (no children allowed the sign says) in amongst a stag-do from Bolton while myself and my other daughter we split but each had a spare seat next to us (go figure). Anyway I can’t print out my boarding passes for return trip as were are away for more than two days so we’ll probably be charged for that at the airport. Never again Ryanair. Money isn’t everything.

I’ve continued to use Ryanair for years in spite of poor customer service, bad flight experiences & constantly changing flight & baggage policies. However the latest is a step too far. I’m prepared to pay for the privilege of taking my baggage into the cabin, but take that option away from me as “sold out” when booking my flight & giving me no choice but to queue at check-in, put it into the hold & wait at the carousel at the other end & I start to look at who else to fly with. Over half of my flights are now booked with other airlines without such a draconian baggage policy, even if I have to travel to an airport further afield. Glad we’ve all funded your two time Grand National winner Michael but we’ll only keep coming back like beaten puppies for so long - I for one am finding a new home.

It really is very difficult to track down what baggage has or has not been booked with our flights when booked several months in advance. I thought we had booked two hold bags and "two bags" did appear in the final moments of checking in at home. This turned out at the airport to be two "cabin" bags. I duly paid for two additional hold bags (we only had one traditional tiny handbag as cabin luggage between us) and will do on both sectors. £160! I now read that one of the "cabin bags" could have been checked in on the outward trip (so long as it was no more than 10kg). We were not informed of this at Bristol when we paid for the two "hold" bags and it really is not clear on the website . I am now in a quandary at my holiday hotel as to whether to book two hold bags on the return. Ryanair's Byzantine rules on luggage and the aggressive nature I have seen it imposed are a source of stress and fear and a reason I will always choose an alternative if I can. I am not being rude...just giving you honest feedback on our experience and how it spoils our holiday.

Went to check in to my flight - got distracted with the endless up sells and did not complete the process. Remembered at the airport. With over 2 hours still left I started the process but it said I could not connect. Staff at airport told me to head to customer services where we were told we now had to pay £165. Staff were rude, unhelpful and the opposite of customer services. When you visit customer relations a business can either delight or disappoint....I wish I had taken a picture of the miserable faces. Not a smile among them. Everyone got the same treatment, quite astonishing that you put your worst staff in such an important position. The app is very well designed so it is the wrong place to leave a review complaining about Ryanair and your broken suitcase...complain to Ryanair if you must..I have to say using the airline weekly on my commute I have nothing to complain about. The flights are always on time and they don’t inflate the times of the flights at all (I fly with BA and Flybe and all the flight times are the same from and to my destinations). They do screw every last penny out of you with their boarding and baggage policies, however, I fly for 14 euros from Brussels to Manchester so it can be expected that they have to look to see where they can improve their margins. Hilarious bad reviews on here with one person suggesting Ryanair would from their lawyer upon their return. Maybe you should think about spending your wealth on an airline more suited to your status...

I fly with Ryanair at least 6 times a year, I never pay for a seat or luggage as I have a house in Spain but also as a protest to Michael Ryan’s extortionist business practices.
On our last trip I was unable to check in on line despite uninstalling and reuploading app as directed by Ryanair’s chatbot online. I ended up missing the online check in deadline and had to check in at the airport. I was made to pay the €55 fine for each of us as I hadn’t any proof that I had tried to check in online. I then had to go to the ticket office to pay my €55 fine to be told the fine would be payable in GBP as we were in the UK.
I then went back to check in to be told the flight had been overbooked and there was no seat for me. Eventually I was allocated a seat at the gate and got on the flight but by this time the start of my short break had been ruined by stress but also been £110 lighter in my bank.
I will NOT be flying Ryanair again, the extra costs actually mean that the flight is more expensive than his competitors and also the cost to sanity and stress levels are not worth any monetary savings.
Shame on you Michael Ryan, I hope all your wronged customers vote with their feet like I am doing.

Ryanair website and app are difficult to navigate around, the fact that you cannot check in until 48 hours before your flight is a nuisance. I booked with Ryanair through a third party website, it isn’t usually my first choice as I have had problems with them in the past. This time the third party forgot to mention you’re unable to check in less than 2 hours before the departure time and that with Ryanair you are unable to check in at the airport. I got to the Ryanair desk at Stansted airport 1 hour and 55 minutes before my flight and ended up having to pay £55 per person to check in because of this. As you can imagine this started off my flight in a negative light. To add insult to injury the flight was poorly controlled, with a large group of drunk men running havoc on the flight. When trying to make a complaint online I was unable to get any further as I had no record of my booking reference (this was more the fault of the third party I had booked through).

Having spent an hours trying every avenue on my PC to add a case to 2 passenger & clicking on Add to Trip as instructed from all the pages displayed via HELP etc, it only allows you to book a 20kg case. Infuriating, although not a surprise for Ryanair, sadly.
Second point is buying three cases specially for cabin use with Ryanair, the size was changed !
Full marks to Ryanair for treating the customer with utter contempt . . I thought they had learnt lessons in Customer Care but, apparently, only until the next opportunity presented itself to trick the client. Actually not unlike most corporates, like Banks etc, when they simply don’t get the idea that proper customer care bring new client and keeps existing ones on board; it all about trying trick people into payment more and/or needing counselling after battling their Web Help sites!!
Very sad

Well designed app - terrible airline

I feel moderately bad for giving this app - which is actually very easy to use, well designed and intuitive - a bad score. The designers should be commended for creating it. But I feel worse about having to fly Ryanair which deliberately uses underhand tactics to charge customers more at every opportunity. Every bit of it is legal and transparent, so if you follow all of the convoluted rules and stipulations to the letter, you should get a cheap flight. By Jove, though, they make it hard to do. Every action needs to be deliberately and carefully planned and they try and snag you with a charge at every chance. It’s soul destroying, mostly because they have some routes that are pretty reasonable so you have to fly with them sometimes. Ugh. Complaining about them isn’t even worth giving myself a coronary over. Just be careful as you click through.

Atrocious customer service

This has to be the worst airline ever
I make a booking from Liverpool to Paphos the day they release the new route flights and pay and book extra leg room seats. I then book my parking and hotel accommodation for the night before the flight as it departs at 6am. 6 weeks later get notification of a change in the departure time which is actually a date change not a time change and I’m now flying 24hrs earlier than originally scheduled. That’s one hotel booking lost as the hotel won’t change the date. I complain to be told no compensation from Ryanair as it’s not their fault? I accept the change and today went to check-in to now find that they didn’t transfer over the extra leg room seats which I have already paid for. I call to complain to be told it’s again not their fault and they won’t do anything about it apart from move my seats so now Chrissy and I can’t sit together in extra legroom seats we have to sit across the aisle from each other or choose cramped seats together with no leg room. They won’t compensate for either move even though it’s their fault.
This is the first time we have used Ryanair in years and don’t think we will be doing so again.
Micheal O’Leary you run a mickey mouse company which doesn’t take ownership for rectifying it’s own mistakes and this would have been no stars but I had to give you one star just to write the review

I am sick to death of all the updates that Ryanair is enforcing on my iOS 12 device. My old ( bless it) iPhone doesn’t need an update because there isn’t one. I am not therefore forced. I have just used The Ryanair app 20 minutes ago and when I went back to check my itinerary there was no way in unless I updated. Also every time this app is updated I have to insert my details or log in. I have to create a new one because you are supposed to memorise it for me I’m my device but each update destroys that hidden memory. People are sick of this and have reverted to the insecure habit of using the same password for everything except Banks and PayPal etc.
As for the app it is as good as ever if a little slower.

This company is rubbish

Version 3.51.0
I tried to get to My flight on time because I had to go to work in England in 2 days I also needed to pick up my dog. As I got to the airport, they said my flight was going to be late as usual, I was used to that. Then I waited a whole hour to just get the news that my flight was cancelled. This news was really bad to hear because I did not have anywhere to go. Then my sisters husband had to drive 1 1/2 hours there and back to take me to there place. When I got to there place I realised that this company would not even give me a refund. Now, I’m stuck in a different country as I can’t book a new flight. Thanks Ryanair 😡

I have tried to contact you regarding your app, my upcoming trips/flights are not stored in the app anymore? I booked them via the app, and they were all stored there, & now there is nothing there! Can you look into this issue it’s obviously not just my experience with your app, if this latest update can’t save or store your up and coming flights what’s the point of using it? I won’t be able to use it to check it with it, won’t be able to get my boring pass, & even when I add it via the booking reference and my email, it says it’s now saved to myRyanair app but shock horror it’s not there when you go and check! This is obviously a issue can you please fix this BUG as you call it. It’s obviously an oversight from the app developers. Thanks!!

RIP off and terrible service

You destroyed my suitcase beyond repair and you provide ample time to get it sorted. Knowing ones abroad and knowing that time you set isn’t always viable. What a joke. The service I got was terrible and the reps were rude and didn’t even help my with all my belongings that I had to physically carry from airport to my destination which was 3.5 hrs by coach. You destroyed my trip and I’m still feeling the repercussions. I won’t let this rest upon my return to London. You will be hearing from my lawyer!
Avoid rynair at any cost they don’t care nor do they help when they destroy your trip. Unbelievable worst airline trip ever. Easy jet are a million times better. Will be sharing my experience with my followers in social media all 100’000 of them. I’ll make sure you loose where I did! Shocking customer service agents rude beyond words. Chilling whilst I was struggling to manage !!!!

Not one for writing many reviews but after reading the negative ones posted I felt I had to write this. I’ve been flying with Ryanair every week for the past 5 years for my commute to work. Sometime more often when work takes me to other places. The airline is one of the most reliable airlines I’ve ever used. As for the App, the early versions had issues but this one is extremely reliable, easy to use to book flights, check in, add extras and have your boarding pass at hand. I’ve added my family to my profile settings (using the PC) so when we all go away on our hols it’s very easy to do all the above for us all as it also stores their details. I even have a few colleagues added to make booking work flights easier. I also use other airline Apps (mention no names) and find this one by far the easiest. This App simply works in every way it’s supposed to. A must App for everyone using Ryanair whether a commuter or an infrequent flyer.

Great App for frequent flyers

I’ve been using Ryanair for a good few years now and in all honesty as far as an airline app goes its bloody good.
Ryanair have definitely streamlined things over the last couple of years. Admittedly I have an online account with them and once this has been set up it’s incredibly quick and easy to get everything sorted. The addition of things like Fast Track security is brilliant, I’d always normally book this separately with the airport which is time consuming, airport parking is also another great addition.
Hoping that they’ll start a loyalty mileage program at some point in the future.
Well done to the team who develop the app, it really is 100% better than than the old desktop system you had.

Inflated prices

If you use this app to check prices always pretend your going days in advance and then flick back to the date your actually going as this app tracks all your movements. Delete cookies before going back to this app every time... don’t believe when it says 1 left at this price, it’s there to make you panic buy your seat. Sometimes booking your flight one way each time is cheaper than booking a return flight.
Changing seats whilst in mid flight happens on most flights so don’t worry if your split up. They now say it’s about weight distribution that you can’t move seats instead of the safety in the event of an accident... total rubbish... priority boarding is a joke... most flights it’s a free for all with people pushing in front, staff have very little training and frankly are only bothered about getting you on and shutting the door. The flight times are inflated by 10 to 15 mins.... wait for the fanfare at your journeys end and then the captain telling you your early by 10 mins.... all little tricks to make you use them again and again. If you find anything useful in my review pleased I could help a
