Dulux Trade Paint Expert for Interior Designers is a FREE iPad app created with professional designers and architects, in the commercial paint industry, in mind.

Wow love this app too easy to use and perfect for basic interior design/ styling. I really wish it had a few more features then it would be goodbye photoshop.

Useful app
Great app for putting together mood boards & colour schemes- but. . . . it would be so much less frustrating if you returned to your place in the colour deck after you’ve selected one as it’s annoying to have to keep scrolling through them all to get back to where you were. Also, there is always a ‘problem’ downloading from the Inspiration Gallery! Why is that?

Very useful for homeowners too
This is aimed at professionals but I have found it very useful for comparing paint colours and putting together palettes for my own house project. Some minor improvements could make it even better e.g. Can't seem to copy colours from one project to another.

Really useful
I found this really useful for finding colours which work well together for a feature wall in a room. It's also very good being able to import your own pictures - this allows you to get a good colour match with existing furnishings. I also found it really useful in deciding how my pictures would look on different coloured walls. Recommended - it is better than an app offered by another company which has only a US colour palette. This one has the extra benefit of being able to pick almost any colour which can be made up in store if it's not part of the standard range.

Easy to use and very clever. I love the fact you can import pictures from elsewhere and then colour match items from them. Useful for the less creative types like me!

Great
Was looking for an app that would give me a good colour range with colour suggestions,, but this little app can do that and a lot more...you can basically make your own portfolio for customers 'if asked'! which is surprisingly very easy to do,,

The app is ok if you don't rely on finding colours!
Downloading the app, I was hoping to get the 'support' to find the rite colours. So far I got three colours by the no in the pp, and they are all darker and more importantly, different!

Ok for what it does but doesn't let you see colours in place
Surely the key function for this type of app is to virtually paint the walls etc to give you a preview of how it will look!
Picking colours and placing them next to a picture is about 10 years out of date

Great concept, but.........
Loved the idea of taking a photo of existing wall and then matching the colour. Unfortunately the colours it recommends are not correct. Even tried taking a photo of colours in an official Dulux tradesmans chart and it got those wrong. Needs to have some form of calibration setup. Only useful to see available colours not for matching.

Great app but room for improvement
Overall the app is a great app and it allows you to pull together ideas and present them using a professional moodboard. It's great that you can include your own images, add text and change the colour of the background etc.
Note to developers: The colours aren't as up-to-date as they could be, so maybe this could be something that could be developed so that we have access to the most current dulux palette. Also it would be a good idea to change the background colour of an image using the colour picker tool, or even better, add a image editing tool, to adjust the colours to suit the board.
Overall it is a great app and if my suggestions above we're considered and implemented, I would have definitely scored a 5 star rating. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic way of creating mood boards for rooms, importing your own pics, matching colours, and creating and redesigning whole rooms. Brilliant. iPad has never been so well used!

At last, a well thought through App ( of any kind)!
Having a tiny bit of design background I know not to trust photographed ( or any on screen reproduction ) of true colours, so you do have to use a little bit of common sense and judgement, but for a complete colour dyslexic like me, this app is brilliant for ideas.
Also great if you are stuck with a couple of unchangeable colours and need to match in, e g my inherited kitchen tiles.
Yes, love the photo drop in and colour match option, its a bit like sticker dolly dressing for grown ups
Found it a little complicated to get started, but am having fun now!

Don't use the colour codes
This app is terrible and has cost me a fortune! We took photos and sampled the colours to build a colour scheme for the room. All done on an iPad 2. The process was awesome and fun. However , we then ordered the paints from our local Dulux Trade centre and applied the paints. All three colours we chose bore absolutely no resemblance to the colours shown on the iPad screen. We painted the walls to completion hoping the colours would fade on drying but alas not. I would thus state that the app is worse than useless unless you go and match the colours on the screen with cards in the shop.

Some dulux colours not available.
This app is a good idea but being a professional painter and decorator there were some dulux colours that I have used before such as malt chocolate and natural hessian that are not available being neutral colours showing these to a prospective client would of been handy. And a quick show on this app would of been ideal.

Great App
This is a great App for anyone wanting to put a colour scheme together. Not only can you choose colours from a chart, you can pick colours from photos that you like and also create a colour board including any picture you want to put in it.

What fun!
Excellent app, allows you to preview your decor from the comfort of your armchair and it's great fun to experiment with some funky colours. I thought it all looked a bit daunting first of all but now I know my way around the app it's great. Who needs Matchpots!

Very helpful
Very useful and easy to use app that provides visual access to and contrast between the odours in the Dulux range - much better to use than the colour cards (even the ones the professionals are given by Dulux). The suggestions for contrasting or similar colours are very helpful too. The colour samples all have numbers which you give to the colour mixing desks at the hardware stores to have your order prepared.

This app is great. Easily compare and contrast colours. Give yourself a good idea of what your colour scheme will look like before you purchase any paint. You'll never need those colour cards again.

Fun, but don't choose colours
I had a lot of fun playing around with colours with this app, trying to figure out how to decorate my house. All was going well until I happened to compare the on screen colours with the paint... While these are superficially similar, there is a large enough difference that I had to restart completely - colours which worked onscreen jarred in real life, and the difference is noticeable as soon as you compare them. For an app by a paint company, this is really not good enough.

Really good app!
I'll be decorating my new house in the next few weeks, and this app has been FAB for putting all my ideas together. It's really good that you can add in your own photos to give the colour scheme context and help you imagine what the final product is going to look like.
The only downside is that you can't use it on the iPhone which is a pain because it's easier to carry an iPhone round with you when out shopping than an iPad. It'd be great if it could just be uploaded onto an iPhone, even if there isn't the capability to edit the project.

An ideal tool for exploring colour for your interiors
A brilliant tool for exploring and experimenting with colour.
Great for showing clients how colours work together.
Wonderful reference for colourways for products, graphics and interiors.
A couple of little improvements I would like to see in the next version would be swiping from one pallet to another within the same project and the choice of having the names with the colour codes, (helpful and friendly when discussing with clients).

Fantastic - just what I needed
Great App - used it to create my mood board- love the fact that it gives dulux paint codes that you can take to get mixed - what a bonus! Def use it at home and in my job.
