More cons than pros

Personally this app just gives me headaches! Limits what you can actually do compared to the website version. Really slow at times. Constantly out of sync with “servers”.

Apart from that it does the job for a simple website set up.

Mixed feelings

The app is quite easy to use and it’s good for updating my website / viewing orders without having to get to a computer.

The reason I only gave 2 stars is the response time for technical assistance is ridiculous. 4 days to respond to a complaint about a customer not being able to make payment at my Weebly store!! Would have expected to hear back within an hour or so given that I’m paying £25 per month for store services. To make things worse, the response I received after my marathon wait made no sense and only addressed half of my enquiry. This is the second time I have had to open a ticket and the service was just as bad last time.

Does not work on iPad 9.7 6th edition

Like another user, i get an error message prior to loading website asking to discard or retry dealing with some change I have not made. No matter which choice I make, the software fails to load my site which has been set up on a PC under Windows 10. Maybe sites to be edited on Apple devices, must have been created on an Apple device. This problem has been there for some time... too big a problem for the software team?

This is such a good website maker you don’t need to pay for most things it’s very simple as well there is all sorts of themes for your web it can go to a store to a business website there is more options but I’m naming the ones I use,you can pay for things for more options but it’s really good you have a lot of options as well.

Don’t recommend

Preposterously slow! I can’t believe it. I spent so much time making my website and then it’s still saving. It’s been saving for days. And now reloaded the page and it’s back to nothing. It’s pretty awful.

I have been using this for website / blog and its very time consuming in uploading and building, sadly I have 2 sites for a lengthy time to tolerate it with, but although on the surface it appear as simple its not in reality on either app.

Broken Update???

I’ve just tried to open my Weebly app for iphone and got a message stating the app needed to be updated to be used. No problem. Duly downloaded the update, only to receive the same message... Ensured I’m on the latest iOS, turned phone off and back on again, still nothing... Still waiting for a response also. Poor

What’s happened

This used to be great, problem free. I now have constant problems adding embedded code to my site. This plus, the App keeps telling my version (iPad) is no longer supported and needs updating. I update it but the issue persists! It just doesn’t work on iPad.

Getting worse

I love my Weebly website and used to use the app to update my blog and website content from my phone. At one point last year it stopped syncing and now it won’t let me add changes or blog posts. So frustrating - no point having this app if it doesn’t work! Very disappointed.

it’s a lot easier to use A laptop so I think u should make it a bit more like that plus if u are getting this try make ur website on pc then supervise it on phone.

Ok, but has some issues

It can be difficult to edit a website using the app and will crash if adding any more than 6 pictures in a slideshow so I have to do them 6 at a time. It’s good for blog posts though but now crashes when trying to post to social media sites via the app so I now copy the link and do it that way.

Concept is great, delivery is clunky.

The idea of this app is mind blowing and for the most part it does quite well: design your own website with almost infinite creative options.

The hurdle comes when you start trying to add media. I’m a photographer and designer so I’m using a lot of visual media to create my site. As soon as I tap to add a photo, it takes sooooo long to bring up a list of the albums on my iPhone. Then, if that happens, or if I haven’t lost patience, I tap to open an album, ANOTHER eternity passes before I see the images.

I think the app might be trying to render its own images of my Photo Library for its UI rather than using iOS’ built in photos browser.

But whatever it’s doing, it’s doing a really bad job. I just want to make my website.

No good for iPad or iPhone

I’ve used Weebly for well over 10 years now, but it drives me nuts how clunky it is on iPad and iPhone. It’s full of problems that I expected would get fixed, but it doesn’t look like there’s any interest in having this compatible.

It’s a great shame, especially as lots of elements now need a paid subscription.

What is going on?

I have two apps weebly classic and weebly. On the classic I can login but it won’t let me edit my sites. On the weebly it says update .. I do.. I open it.. and it tells me to update and so on... please advise :-(

Weebly is fairly good overall but it is extremely difficult to edit your website via the app on an iPad. This really does need correcting!

This app is really good, well smoother then using the web editor on phone, but I wish I could add and use apps on the app and also interact with them, except from that this app has a really freindly user interface, so easy to use and makes it easy to make a website in seconds via your phone.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Good app but awful customer service and they make it very difficult to cancel your subscription. Read reviews on TrustPilot and you will see, as I have, that everyone scores them very badly.

They say you can simply cancel a plan (if you use PayPal) but there is no button to do this. I have screenshots to prove this. I have found out if you do want to unsubscribe you need to go to your PayPal and check under automated payments. NOWHERE in Weeblys help section does it say how to do it. It is deliberately under hand.

It’s fantastic and I would highly highly recommend. It is perfect for your first website if you haven’t got the money to splash out on a website.

Would give no stars. The idea of the app is great and I love the weebly platform but I can’t post using my phone or iPad. For someone wishing to use this whilst travelling it doesn’t work and I would consider switching to a different blogging platform.

So slow and often lose data

I hate this app. I have no problems editing online, but as soon as I edit on the app disasters happen. Firstly it is really slow. Secondly it sometimes gives errors on saving changes and loses posts! Very annoying having to write the blog entirely from the beginning. My internet connection was perfectly fine as well. I find the app is getting worse and worse with every updates and it is so frustrating!

Utter Crap

Weebly told me I had to download the lastest version, so I press that, it takes you to the App Store & I download it. I open the app from the app store after it had completed the download & the Weebly app tells me I need to download the latest version, press that it takes you back to the app store where it confirms I had downloaded the new version. So now I can’t open the Weebly app for it asking to update & as far as the App Store is concerned it’s all up to date.

What a complete load of glitchy, obtuse crap.

Really like this app but one big feature missing

I’ve used Weebly for about 2 years now and I think it’s great. I especially love the new app interface, it’s clean and uncluttered and offers everything you want to support your website and business.

HOWEVER, I was browsing other similar apps and I came across Wix. Now I have no intention of switching because I’m very happy where I am but I do occasionally like to scope out the competition. One really interesting sounding feature in the Wix app is Direct messaging with customers.

Wiz offer a seamless way to connect with customers, right in their app, and they also show you how many customers are actually on your website right now. I think Weebly would do good to add a similar function. I’ve tried countless options in the Weebly Store and the best one I’ve found is Tidio Chat but even then it’s not a perfect solution and their app never alerts me to new messages. If Weebly offered their own built in messaging feature similar to Wix it would be a standout feature, if implemented properly.

I switched to the app because it was near impossible to use the site through a browser, unfortunately haven't managed to get past the "do you need to sell items?" Page as it won't let me select an option

weebly is great, the app is useless, impossible to paste password into login box, and for those of us security minded with long random passwords we need this ability as i for one cannot remember a 20 chr random password!

The app no longer works on my iOS devices, Iphone 4S and IPad that cannot update to iOS 10. If I try, I get messages server not recognised or use older version but cannot. I have tried deleting and reloading to no avail. RSR. In the U.K.

Great app

I would have given 5 stars, the only improvement I would want is my orders seem to show up on my desktop computer but took about 8-12hrs to show up on the app.

What's going on!

Worked fine until i'm told that the version i've got is no longer supported and i should upgrade. We'll i've tried but it wont let me just passes me back to the same version that tells me its not supported and i should upgrade so i.................groundhog day anyone.
