Poor quality

Couldn’t pre book a taxi as all drivers were too busy (which makes little sense). Additionally as part of card verification I was charged £1 which was not then returned to my account. All in all a bit dodgy

Don’t download

App is shocking - even when you pre book it still doesn’t start looking for a driver until 10 minutes before you need to travel, often resulting in being very late. Long waits, expensive prices, and often haven’t allocated drives for taxis I booked days in advance, causing me to have to walk home late at night. Wouldn’t recommend the app.

Worse than useless if you’re in a busy area

When attempting to book a taxi from Newcastle Central Station on a Saturday night having just arrived from London by train I attempted to book a taxi. The app was showing cars in the area with an estimated wait of two minutes.
Every attempt I made to boo was met with “something has gone wrong”. Tried at least 10 times to book and also further along the road but to no avail. Phone lines were also of no use. I’ve ended up having to WALK home and you’re down a fare of £10.

Who is coming in terms of car not the actual person (that be creepy)
Takes away the need to have that awkward phone call to a dispatcher (if like me you are socially awkward)

No matter where I book or how I pay; “something went wrong”

App has been completely useless for me, five separate occasions now I’ve tried to use it for different destinations. I’ve tried to use two cards to pay native on the app, I’ve tried to use Apple Pay.
Literally every time post payment confirmation the app immediately goes “something went wrong”, completely useless.

The app is appalling

Blueline are great but the app is the worst. 2 different times in the past 5 days that I’ve tried to book wether it be paid in cash or card, it says something went wrong baring in mind this is both connected to wifi and mobile data. Sort it out!

Charged more than once

Don’t enter your card details on the App!! I was charged additional payments and was only notified by my credit card company due to suspicious behaviour.
The waiting time screen isn’t accurate.

App is rubbish

Can’t fault blueline,but the app is a pile of rubbish! My home address is on the app and every time i book a taxi from my home address it puts the number two doors down!! Sick of changing it and also have known it to bounce back to cash payment on my receipt when I selected card payment and I’m at the destination arguing with the driver because I have no cash!
Also “estimated price” is way out! Estimated me £19-£21 and the final fare was £33!!!

Best taxi service

During this pandemic ( Covid ) I’ve had to use a taxi a fair few times, Phoenix taxis are the other company around my area.
Hands down blue line are the best, there cheaper, friendlier, but what impressed me was the operator told me they were short on drivers in my area when I booked one, then rang me when it was due to update me, yes it was 25 minutes late but during these times it’s understandable, hats off to Blueline and there customer service, Highly recommended!!

Just about to book a return long journey on the app (airport run and back) but the app immediately closes as soon as you open it. Ah well, time to book elsewhere on a more reliable system!

Had a booking for a rail trip to Sheffield had to cancel even tho I booked a taxi though this app well in advance no one told me that there where no taxis and instead I missed my trip. Complete joke don’t use blueine

Total rip-off

3rd journey in a row where the actual price is a lot more than the estimated guide line !
Worst one was nearly £42 after an estimated maximum of 37.80 , we had no diversions or delays ? It’s obvious Blueline are advertising lower prices estimated than other companies quote for fixed journeys just to mislead customers into thinking they would be the cheapest !!!!
I’ll never use them again and hope other people take my advice ....

Pre-booked a taxi, turned up at the arranged time and the app said ‘assigning driver’!!! A driver was never assigned, I ended up going to a taxi rank instead. Useless.

Told to F Off by NE65 FON taxi driver

There should be a no star option!
I have just been told to F*** Off by the driver of this vehicle in Blyth while trying to find a space to park, I knew it was tight and might delay the taxi waiting to come along so decided to look for another space, causing him to reverse slightly. I saw him shaking his head at me and as my window was down commented, receiving a mouthful of abuse as he drove off. A workman at the house opposite commented that his behaviour was disgusting as he’d heard what he’d shouted at me.
If this is who Blueline use to represent their business then good luck.. I certainly won’t recommend them.

Terrible app

Unlike other taxi apps, Bluelines app doesn’t pin point your location. I’ve used it twice and both times I’ve received a notification saying my taxi had arrived when it hadn’t. The “call driver” button doesn’t work either so to try to find out where you’re taxi has gone you need to google the offices number. Easier just to ring in the first place.

Poor service

Not even worth one star

This app has become increasingly worthless. We have been using Blueline taxis for over 6 years and can’t fault their service - on time and professional. The app is completely different. When it was a local one it worked fine but they’ve gone to a national one and booking a taxi is virtually impossible ( my latest was picking me up from my destination) and I couldn’t change it. I finally found a way to phone them and they booked one ok. It didn’t show on the bookings and we didn’t know he had arrived until he rang me. The problem is you’re stuck in s loop and it’s a fluke if you find a way out. If this doesn’t improve we will change taxi firms. I’ve tried impressing this on the despatchers and drivers but they aren’t interested. A decent firm with a crap app. Will they ever listen?!!!

Fair enough the prices are okay but bit of a joke when I booked a taxi to get to mine for 13:35 to get to work and it didn't show up, got a text saying that they would send me the next available taxi. If you are using an app for booking you should make sure that you can make sure that the taxi will be there for the time it has been requested.

Doesn’t work anymore

Used to work perfectly. Open, click and taxi would arrive shortly. Update just doesn’t work at all. Ended up just phoning instead. Waste of space and deleted

The GPS track doesn’t work at all

Booked a taxi and it said the taxi was far away from me. I refreshed for several times yet it still said the same. And then the taxi driver rang me that he had been waiting for a while and he was about to go. I then didn’t get the taxi. This bug needs to be fixed!!!

Payment Failed

Blueline advertise on their app that they take American Express, allow you to put the details in the app, book a cab, take a £2 payment off your card, and then once you complete the journey the payment fails because they don’t actually take it. Had to go to their office nearby to make the payment because of their mistake. Won’t be using them again.

Always book with blueline as it’s excellent prices and drivers, usually when I use the app it’s fine. couple of things I have noticed to be wrong with the app...
Estimated time before booking the taxi - it’ll say for example “8mins” but you’ll be waiting a lot longer, and also when pre-booking a taxi, I look on the tracking section and 5 minutes before the taxi is due, a taxi hasn’t even been sent out yet. I’d prefer it have a genuine estimated time so that it’s not adding extra time onto my journey and making me late.
Ringing blueline gets you a taxi much quicker than the app - was in the city centre one night and booked a taxi on the app, 10 minutes in and there had been still no taxi sent out, so I ring blueline instead and a taxi was sent out immediately and was with me in less than 5 minutes.
Prices - prices need to be much more accurate, when booking a taxi, the app will give an estimated price with your journey, but usually it is way under what the actual end journey price was. I’d much prefer to be given the right price in Case I need to go to the cash point before my journey.

Never use this service again, app is a waste of time.

I pre booked 2 taxis, one going and one coming back from a party. It was important that I got back on time due to family issues which is why I pre booked. The first taxi showed up 25 mins late and only after I called the office, which begs the question what is the point in pre booking.
Then coming back the taxi came 10mins early (I didn’t receive a text saying it had arrived) and then took someone else ON MY CREDIT CARD! And if I didn’t call the office to tell them what had happened I would have been charged. I then had to wait another 15-20 mins for another taxi to come.
Really bad service, no point in using the app to pre book. I’ll be going back to Uber.

Not as good as it used to be

I’ve not used this app for a few months. Previously, the location of near by taxis and eta were very accurate. Today I’ve used it twice and both times, the wait has been at least 8 mins more
