Avoid this app unless you absolutely have no choice.
In my experience, the signage was confusing, the app was barely usable, and it took about 20 minutes just to sign up and pay for parking. Some menus were almost unreadable on an iPhone, and the whole payment process felt badly built and unreliable.
Weeks later I got a letter saying I hadn’t paid, despite using their own app. I appealed and was told I needed a permit, which was not made clear in the app payment flow or site signage. I then paid the fine, only to later receive a debt collector letter because APCOA’s online payment portal had apparently failed.
Ended up paying £140 because of a broken, confusing system. No path to appeal. Absolutely awful user experience. Be extremely careful, keep screenshots, and don’t assume payment has gone through. Feels like a company using dark patterns to gain.

Almost unusable!
Plan extra time where the parking is payable to APCOA. Multiple attempts to pay!! Phone number not recognised! Password not recognised. Reset it all and still not recognised. It’s a very poor app!! I’d like to have rated zero stars.

I missed my train cause of this stupid app. It just kept putting an old registration from a car I’ve long since lost. I tried everything but it just kept putting it in. Until I missed my train. £30 lost. Very annoyed.

Dreadful
Spent 15 minutes entering details of vehicle at train station. Missed the train! Finally entered everything and linked my credit card. Clicked for one day parking, but app failed, unknown to me, to take the fee. Left with a fine. This is just dreadful. Beware.

I cannot wait till they regulate these apps out of existence. Literally cannot register or pay, just so they can fine you. Along comes the bot response telling me to contact them yet no one ever answers the phone.

Horrendous App
It’s just impossible to set up an account. The information fields are impossible to read due to the colour and nothing seems to work. Gave up after 15 minutes, life’s too short for rubbish apps, especially in a world where these apps are everywhere so it’s hardly difficult to produce one that works. Pathetic.

Pay per day is not 24hours and next option is 1 week. Meaning you have to set an alarm for 2am to pay again.
Forces you to register with phone numbers and email, multiple times.
Says it works with Apple Pay but makes you register a card.

Takes ages to register. Asks for a card to be entered. Gives the option to scan but won’t scan. Then once you’ve manually entered the information it gives the option of ApplePay! Ridiculous.

Confused
Visited Mk theatre 🎭 but found Xscape car park changed to Apcoa connect , so downloaded app all good , registered details all good 👍, on returning to car opened app and chose current session nothing showing 🤷🏻♂️, rang helpline which took forever with options only to be told office closed , eventually found if I tapped park icon showed current parking ok I thought great, but there was no Apple Pay until I had filled my credit cards details which I didn’t have with me , so after phoning my lad sorted my details out and could then pay with Apple Pay , this was unnecessary to have to give your bank details when you could just have apple pay available, I probably won’t use this car park again and will use the others that use ring-Go which is far simpler , why make it more complicated than it needs to be .

Awful,awful service
Tried to pay for £1 parking, tried to scan the qr code, just took me to sign up for app, signed up, wouldn’t let me fill in car details, just froze. Realised could do an historical payment, thought great I’ll do that later over WiFi, app works ok, but historical payment only available on website, had to fill in all details again, get to payment press pay and screen goes blank.
Would it be easier just to pay the fine?

I couldn't register to use the app. I kept getting different error messages and now they won't send another code to my phone number for an entire month. I tried calling support but was told to write an email... The pyament machine at the parking lot also does not work so there was literally no way to pay

Frequent Crashes
App frequently crashes when trying to select a different car.
The UI is abhorrent, the design is not user friendly at all.
The app is also designed to get money out of you, pay for a day or a week, not two days. But you are able to extend a day to two days, made to obtain money from people who don’t know.

Frustrating
Make sure you leave plenty of time to register into this app. The coding is not predictive friendly and didn’t link nicely with Apple passwords or my card details. Took almost 10 minutes to register and had to dash for my train. Ridiculous. I only hope now that I’ve registered it’s much easier to use.

Not working
Does not trigger an OTP message from Mastercard so parking sessions cannot be completed. You only had to get one thing right - and you didn't. But there is a flashy new feature showing ads for discount stores. So glad thats there so I can read it while I fume about the credit card nit working!!!!!

Awful experience
I park my car at their Chislehurst car park once per week. In November, I had my car broken into and my golf clubs stolen. My mistake, shouldn’t have left them in the car for the day. Car badly damaged, use a courtesy car for two weeks and get fined £170 for two occasions when I paid for parking with temp car, however I paid on the app for my normal car. Appealed fine and ignored. Awful

Unclear payment issues made booking unnecessarily difficult and long
It took me around 20 minutes to successfully book parking, which was very frustrating. The process was unclear, and at no point did the app or phone system indicate that American Express wasn’t accepted—which I suspect caused the issue. Once I switched to a different card, the booking went through quickly and easily.

Had to download this app as my local train station has just installed ANPR and decided to go with APCOA instead of Ring Go or Pay By Phone like literally everywhere else. It took so long to set up and pay (multiple error messages) that I had to get my train before I’d finished. Ultimately took me HALF AN HOUR to get the app to work and pay for my parking. Good grief.

Horrible UI, can’t even log a support ticket lol
This has to be the worst app I’ve ever used. Firstly, why is the bar to signify that I am typing in the box the same colour as the background, took me a few second to realise I had actually clicked on the box (change it to black or white, I have glasses, old ppl are cooked). Secondly, when I tried to set up my car there is a field required for the car colour, you just can’t type in that box 🤣 which is great because it’s a requirement to be able to book a parking spot. Thirdly, I wanted to raise a support ticket for the aforementioned problem but there’s the same problem there as well so I couldn’t submit a support ticket.
Overall my experience was short lived, I never got past the first step. This is 5 minutes I’ll never get back and £9 they will never get from me lol
