So difficult to search for what you’re looking for, I love Zara and the shop but the online system is a joke. No size help or even as little as to say the size the model is wearing. So different from other apps and awkwardly designed. The clothes are usually really nice but the models and lighting don’t help to convince. Just find it hard to use

Zara clothes are excellent - lots of affordable but stylish things if you look, great design, many very useful things too. I've had some of my Zara pieces for 15+ years and they still look good.
The app needs improving. Probably too much image megabytes and insufficient cache clearing means that after a while some images don't load.
Filtering needs improving too - eg. let me search for sandals only with kitten heels.
Finally navigation could be improved - let me see lists both on menus and in my profile - I hate wasting time for bookmarks etc.
Finally, Apple should delete these ludicrous 'boycott Zara' obviously fake reviews. They do a disservice to the Palestinian BDS movement (which I support), they're based on absolute fiction, which was obvious to anyone who made the effort to research, they distract from the serious issue of the murderous, genocidal war on Gaza.
And finally they clog up the real reviews which many want to read before downloading the app. 🙁

On top of that the quality of the clothes has recently become awful. I bought a top recently and after two wear it already started to show signs of damage. App exclusives are cool and give you a chance to get 1 off items. There are the odd bugs and if you have the eye for these things work arounds can be found but should be better.
Zara re sell and care service is an awesome idea but thus far my experience buying is not great. Items favourited on Zara re sell are in a separate list to that of the main store. The list you make takes ages to load and you question if it’s remembered. As it is resell you are at the whim of those selling the item for me 3/4 purchases have resulted in non responses. This is a waste of time and added stress as you wait for emails and refunds turning around. Zara should weed out the time wasters or they will ruin the resellers service

Stops working when trying to use which is very frustrating when trying to pay and items end up being no longer available before you pay.
No details of contact other than Facebook and Twitter detailed on the app and in view that you can no longer phone customer services, other contact options should clearly be detailed on there. Not that it helps as when you do try to contact customer service it is a waste of time.
Cancelled orders nearly a week after purchased which were due to be delivered the following day detailing it as items not available despite being able to purchase after the first purchase!

When viewing a top, I liked the trousers that they were put with, however there was no information or reference for the name of the trousers. Hard to find them on the website. Even the chat help feature wasn’t helpful.
I also found that sometimes I was searching in the wrong emirate (No idea why there are two separate websites for different emirates) what I found on the Zara Dubai website, couldn’t be found on the Abu Dhabi version… would probably be quicker to go to the shop.

The sizes are not very practical either their large in most items are at best a size 14 if you’re lucky. Believe me the women in Spain are no smaller than the women in UK and the average size here is 16 !! I am a small 16 and a lot of times a 14 so it’s really hit and miss. That being said I do like their range and style of clothing very much , when I can get it in my size the larger sizes are always the first to be out of stock !!

The app’s stock “availability” feature is inaccurate and could be costly. I visited the store in Stratford Westfield to buy a product for my nephew’s wedding which was listed “available” on the app. Upon arrival, I was told it was not available and was advised (on the basis of the information from their system) the product was available in Oxford street. I travelled to Oxford street and was told the product was not in stock but available in Zara Brompton (Knightsbridge). I requested whether the store in Knightsbridge could be contacted so that I could be reassured the product is in fact available - there were no opportunities for this. I have wasted a little under £10 in travel costs as a result of app misinformation. Please note the app still indicates the product is available in Westfield Stratford and Oxford Street. Zara should consider ways to prevent their customers from wasting their time and money searching for products falsely advertised as being available. I wonder how many more costumers have fallen victim to this.

I love Zara. I love the clothes, all of their products. Even the bad ones. Which then tempts me to buy their product online - but seconds later decide not to buy anything. All due to the experience on the APP. frustrating to scroll through as it’s probably the only app that chooses to scroll differently, they have not gone the route of user friendly. It’s clearly “design vs usability” and therefore loosing someone as loyal as my myself to give up shopping from them for other competitors. The filtering is the worst I’ve seen - it’s almost the opposite of what a user would like to see… and the menu names/ distribution is purely catered to “fashion designers” and not the public as names are so all over the place, I never know where to look for what I need.. and I haven’t even started. Probably one of the worst user experiences I’ve encountered for a brand this big/beautiful.

I have purchased a number of items on line from Zara but have been disappointed upon receiving them.
The first item was a nightdress which from the on line advert, was excellent. However, when received, it looked as though it had just been pulled from the clothes rack, stuffed into a bag and despatched. It arrive all crumpled and there was a hole where the security tag had been removed, on the front.
The last item ordered was a blue linen coat. Beautifully tailored but sadly, there was a mark on the lapel. In addition, one of the lapels was creased in the wrong place and looked out of shape.
Probably could have been ironed to correct it, but not my responsibility.
Perhaps just a little more care before these items were despatched would have avoided all these problems..

After encountering the app freezing whilst being taken to payment details I contacted chat support. Their initial advice was to delete and reinstall app, fair enough. This was carried out 4 times in total after continuing communication. Then it was expressed that the fault could only be my payment details. Unsure how this could indeed be the issue as it doesn’t actually take you to the page to input said details, and 5 other online purchases through different apps that day hadn’t been an issue. Was left with a “good day” Really Zara!!! That’s your idea of investigating a fault on your app?? No attempt to look into further?? That’s your level of customer service?? I suggest you don’t fob customers off with repetitive conversations and actually try to address issues raised

This app makes it so difficult to search for specific items, especially things in the special prices or sale section. It seems even worse in this update. You can’t search ‘jeans’ for example. And you can’t sort prices low-high etc. As there are no reviews for items, i wish they would say what size the model is and what size they are wearing as it’s so difficult to visualize how the garments might fit me personally. You can input your measurements and they do suggest the size you need, but I have found from experience they don’t always get it right. A oversize coat in recommended size large might swamp my 5.5 frame, but a small or medium would be ideal, although not recommended. I wish Zara would give us all the information we need to make the shopping experience a positive one.

I really don’t know like the user experience on this app, it’s awful, text is light and so small I hardly can read it, the prices are tiny and I’m young and have a good eye sight. The models chosen for the pictures are really awful, so so thin that makes the clothes have no shape or form with the normal people in the street. I can’t see properly the type of clothes on some models because they have put a very white t-shirt on a very white person that fades on top fades with a white background. Same with black tops, blazers or coats/jackets on a black person that can’t show the detail on the item. I find buying on this app in contrast with all other online store apps the worst and I really don’t know how this app has been allowed to go live like this. They should be getting rid of some people in the creative and design department and solve this now 👎🏼

I used to love shopping from Zara only because of the app it was very easy to use and also very fast. You could see where your saved items were and your buy later which was amazing because it meant you could have two wish lists. When adding something to your basket and paying it was so easy because the basket was at the bottom of the page as well as the saved items at the bottom left.
Now the update has messed everything up!
Especially with sale items it is so hard to purchase anything now, when I add an item to my basket it loads and loads so much sometimes till I get to paying already it is out of stock because someone else paid for it! Zara advised me to use their app when I was having difficulty getting their returns process to work. Despite shopping online regularly, I find shopping online with Zara is weirdly fraught with hiccups. Having now downloaded the app, I shopped today, and with 5 items in my basket, found I couldn’t access my basket to checkout! Then more time wasted with Zara “chat” to try to resolve this, where I was told I’d need reload the app, thereby losing everything in the basket, so I would need to start shopping all over again. I hadn’t time to do this, so before logging out had one last attempt to access basket and, this time managed to do so. I placed a order on the 25th of December 2021 and was sent a confirmation email with a tracking. I received a estimated delivery date the latest date stating the 6th of January 2022 I had to contact Zara online 4 time till I finally got an answer to find out they have cancelled my order. Everyone on the phone was very unhelpful the last gentleman was laughing I believe he received a text whilst I was on the phone probably reading his text. And know I have to wait 14 days for a refund I have never heard of 14 days for a refund when you have not even received the items. I asked to speak to a manager and the man said it will not make a difference how disgraceful.I am so disappointed with the service and the attitude of the staff of zara. I do understand there is worse things in the world but in a retail establishment I expect more.

Weird poses and no size converter

The layout of the app is not straight forward and clear, I open the app with hope to find something and I’m either put off by not being able to find the clothes section (first few uses) and then the weird poses which mask the item, the pictures being in black and white so I can’t see the colour of the item, and then I don’t know if a size small is an 8 or a 10, or an XS is an 8. You need to go buy a measuring tape to fill in the size guide as I don’t know how long my thigh is. It would be much easier to have a table with the size conversions on it… like every other shop. So I close the app and go to another clothing brands app that is a breeze to browse through. Much easier to go to the shop if you have time. Zara sort it out, losing sales here.

I love Zara and the app is ok, though a lot of weird elements when you purchase. It’s not intuitive. Design bad. But the functionality is good. But WHY O WHY do you take the photos you take. The models are just totally not appropriate, the clothes look weird and you cannot tell what they actually look like - even things like, where does that top fall on a human, waist? Hip? Longer? Who knows because the Zara photos are so dreadful. But when you do black and white I just FLIP. What customer does not want to know the colour or texture of the fabric of the clothes they are buying?!?!! Please workshop this in your exec office and get your customer base needs sorted out please. I don’t buy as much because of your photos.

It’s amazing! I love that you can save items too! It’s be great if you could select colour schemes and the app shows you all them colour schemes automatically without having to filter but then again - that’d just make me buy more! It’s be great if you could add to your order too! I’m sure that’s possible as the app is constantly updating with the order status? Last stock dates would be cool too so you can see when to expect a restock if the size is out of stock?

I agree with others who say that the app is hard to navigate. For example when I search for my toddler clothing. Some items are in mini collection and others are in kids collection. You should just do one kids collections and do it by ages. Much easier. Also, glad you got rid of traffaluc and woman collection and decided that all women clothes should be under ‘woman’. Also, the images that show the model’s face instead of the clothing are unnecessarily. Some models you use are so skinny and not much resembles a real woman to be honest.

I agree with some other shoppers that sometimes the pictures are not the best and don’t really show off the clothes more the person.

Why can’t this app just be like any other? They clothes are great and often reasonably priced, but it’s a nightmare looking for anything. The whole format is just too complicated for nothing and it’s difficult to find what you want. There’s no ‘sort low-high/ high-low’ etc which is very annoying. The photos don’t actually advertise the products very well. They’ll show you an image of a model with their leg over their head or something to advertise a top. Well now you can’t actually see the top. They’ve taken a ‘designer’ approach which In turn just makes me not want to shop on the website as it’s so confusing. It’s not an enjoyable scrolling experience at all, and I often never find anything that I like. I really really encourage Zara to look into their formatting and layout!!

The Zara app is my favourite retail app for shopping online as it’s easy to use, well laid out and still stylish. The app has all the features needed to make it an enjoyable user experience, plus it includes all the information you need to find out more about your garments and Zara in general. Returns are always super quick and made easier by allowing you to use paperless returns, saving on printing at home. When you save items you like they don’t just disappear after time so will stay there in for as long as you like, plus if you add items to your bag and then you forget about them, they will also end up in your saved items! (One of my pet peeves about other retail apps)

I have been having problems with delivery/collection points when placing my order. I am having to travel to another city to collect my orders. I have called Zara several times to resolve this issue however no one is able to help me instead I am advised to place an order through someone else or long in through the web as a guest.
Although my location settings are on, the app is not detecting my home town for nearest delivery options, instead the nearest post office it is detecting is almost 7 miles away. When I log in as a guest this is not the issue. I am able to find have my goods delivered to the nearest post office down the road. Quite appealing that this issue has been going on for almost 3-4 weeks and no one is able to resolve.

Recently, shopping at Zara has been extremely difficult. Every time I choose something to add to the basket (the size of the product is available at the time of choosing the product) the clothes are not available. I checked it several times and after a few seconds these products were gone, and even some of them appear as available, but after adding them to the cart, it turns out that they are not. There isn't even time to pay, and I'm not talking about seeing all the available clothes on the site, because I believe this is impossible. After 3 times I let go and will do my shopping somewhere where the information is true and you have time to make the proper purchases.

Good evening I want to share that I am highly dissatisfied with the Zara website being the fact you do not reserve the items once added to basket. I was about to purchase 21 pieces of you’re clothing and when I went to check out my basket was reduced 4. Most companies hold items for an certain amount of time to ensure that the customer can browse and have an enjoyable online experience and if the customer choosers not to buy within the time frame then the items is redirected back onto the website for others to purchase which makes a fair experience to others. With Zara, this company does not care for customer satisfaction and clearly only cares about sales otherwise this system would have been implemented, and their website would not be treated like a chaotic pandemic loo roll sale where customers are scrambling for items. I would have a serious meeting with the directors and marketing sales team of how to function the Zara app as this specific area is absolutely appalling.

Return of faulty coat

As a Christmas present my daughter purchased for me a 3/4 length black coat cost £100. Having worn the coat on only 4 occasions the zip has broken and will not undo.
We have the receipt and contacted the store. We cannot do any thing as store is closed, we suggest you contact customer care. We did and was advised to go to store and ask manager to sort. Having got to store we point blank told tolls are closed cannot do anything contact customer care told the lady that is what we did and was instructed by customer care to come to store.
Had to then return home frustrated that I was doing as asked but they were not helping. They were not no know the coat was purchased as I’am suffering with chemo and kidney and need to keep warm.
We contacted customer care again have been advised because coat was purchased in store they cannot refund the faulty coat until the store reopens after lockdown.
I find it very difficult the other companies seem to be able to refund or replace faulty goods by post etc but ZARA appear not to be able.
Will be looking forward know to going into store when the summer arrives to get my faulty coat replaced l. In the mean time ZARA expect me to purchase another coat which will have to be arranged over the internet as stores are closed.
Was promised a return call from a manager to discuss guess I would be surprised if that happens.

Super easy to use app and navigate. New functions such as scanning items to find online or taking a photo to search plus sending a video if purchasing a present to someone. The best thing is that one can save the items for a later purchase and go back to check on it.
Also , can check the receipts online , see how much one have spend on the actual purchased items , all the descriptions is available, date of purchase , if returned , how much in terms of credit was deducted , etc , etc .

The clothes are great the prices to , but the app is so tedious , the pictures are weird , some showing just faces , when it’s a blouse or skirt or trousers you want to look at , it makes progress slow and boring .
I suggested the app to lots of friends and family , a lot of young people and they all say the same they can’t be bothered with the app it’s such hard work .
Perhaps one picture of the item , then click on and show front and back and no other pictures . There are other apps out there that are easy to see and guide through , maybe have a look at upgrading yours .
The sizes could also do with looking at I think , ore consistency . In one pair of trousers I’m one size in another another size , the size guide is a good idea but again not everyone thinks to look at that as on other sites when size guide is shown it’s just U.K. EU USA and measurements etc , why not put it in a different way , so people no it’s an individual sizing guide not just a generic chart .
Keep selling your unique stuff though , maybe not the wellie boots look though .... not a good look at all .

I love the Zara App & have been using it since it was available. It’s easy to shop from , it saves your favourites , it saves your basket and the fact that you can save items you like to purchase later. It just saves you time looking for items again. Love the fact that online purchases are saved on the app and you can save your in store purchases on the app as well by scanning your receipt. No more looking around for paper receipts. Love the fact your returns are acknowledged with an email. A great shopping App .

Love, love, love Zara but....... shopping online is a nightmare!!!! The site was user friendly up until a few months ago and now it’s impossible to find anything. Please make it user friendly and not frustrating. We are all missing physically going into Zara stores and I am relying on using the app.
On a positive note..... packaging is fab. Love receiving an order, opening the box, unwrapping the paper to find items so nicely presented. Delivery is really quick and hassle free returns.

I absolutely love Zara, and I kept seeing the app recommendations for Zara every time I went online to shop at Zara so just decided to get the app and try it... I’m skeptical about clothes store Apps just because I tend to find the app needs updating regularly and sometimes it doesn’t open the app when I want it to etc. But I’m very pleasantly surprised by Zara & have to say that Zara have certainly smashed it when it comes to their App... I absolutely love shopping on the Zara App now, so much easier and accessible to find what I’m looking for, just an incredible app and Zara has always impressed me by their quality of clothing lines they offer customers and the high quality of their clothing range. Zara has by far the most adorable little outfits for kids and newborn babies, I am always buying clothes for my 2yr old niece and my 4 week old nephew. Now I have this app it makes my shopping experience so much easier and fun to use.

I see something in the sale and noticed some marks on the item, so the assistant said we have more if you go online. She happily helped me order the item. That evening I got confirmation that it was ready to pick up in the store. I went to the store today and asked where do I collect on line orders? Assistant took me to the area where there was a window and I had to scan what I had on the bottom of the e-mail. Next a robot dropped my package on a ledge and I picked it up and popped it in a bag. Easy peasy. I will now order online again . Thank you

Impressed, and I’m not easily impressed. It’s annoying when people leave irrelevant and negative reviews about their lost parcel or the model poses or the fact a sale item doesn’t stay in their basket (don’t know of any retailers that allow that). If you have a problem with Zara go on Twitter and complain. This is an App based store for specifically App based reviews. Many retailer apps could do with improving their apps and using Zara as a prime example. Ok the navigation from the homepage is maybe not the most user friendly but once you get used to it the overall app is very sleek, efficient and above all the check out and returns process is second to none, how it should be. The fact that you even receive a notification as soon as you receive your refund is more than can be said for other retailer apps. Thank you Zara.

I never got my order the first time I bought online to pick up in store. I went to the shop (one day before the last day to get the order) and they said it’s not ready and I need to have the confirmation email. I waited a few days still nothing, I tried to call I tried the online chat no one answered, I finally got to speak to someone through whatsapp and they told my order was sent back because I didn’t pick it up. I was so upset and I told them that I even went to the store and they said they don’t have it and never got the confirmation email. All the said was sorry and that’s it. I couldn’t even buy the clothes again cause it was sold out. Very disappointed. Now, I thought to give a try again and it seems I would have to go through the same thing. I went to the store two days ago and they said they don’t have my order and I have to wait for the email. Tuesday is the last day to pick it up and still haven’t received anything, not even the one that it says your order has been shipped. Why would they offer a pick up in store option if they would never send your order there?

This review is not aimed at the products Zara sells but purely just towards to website and the app.

When I have been on the website it’s use is very limited in terms of searching / filtering and I’ve found the app to become unresponsive on a number of occasions.
This is a real shame as they have nice items but it’s let down massively by the Micky mouse website & app.

You cannot find easily all the items to view them..
You do not know when you are in the collection and when in the full list..Or how to go in the full list!
I am using this app very often and I always forget that i need to filter so i can see all the items! Otherwise i m stuck at the dress or new in collection!
The photos are so large in some cases that on an ipad you need to scroll the whole page twice so you can see another photo.
There are various other issues that I wont go through them now, you should have a dedicated team responsible for that but if you look on similar apps from other major companies you can always see what’s missing.
Or you could do a days user experience research and ask women and men from various ages to use this app and express the problems.
The app is meant to do the whole process of finding, buying sth easier and the whole customer’s journey while using the app easier which is not the case!
I apologise for being so negative but I’ve never come across such a frustrating app where you search and search and cannot reach your destination quickly.
Pros to consider very nice design and presentation of the whole site but it s missing important steps to help the user.

Not sure what people are moaning about regarding the App. Ever considered it could it be you who you the problem and not the App?
I been using the App since late 2017 over two years now. I have an iPhone 7 keep all Apps upto date. Use it correctly, by filtering my items of interest and you can save your favourites too for later purchasing.
Fashion is like art and and clothes are an expression of you. I am 50 yrs old 5ft 2ins tall and between a 6 & 8 in size and the models are 5ft 9 get to knowing your Zara size, as all store sizes are different then the issues are not the problem. Stop moaning and use some common sense.
The App is simply to use and navigate easy around to find whatever you are looking for.
easy to saving favourite items and delete and you have plenty of choices for delivery too, as I always out I choose my local post office. What not to like?
Of course I am spending a lot 😁

Hello Zara,
I was hoping to spend lots of money in you sale. I have previously both on line & in store. At Christmas I favour online as I am not near the London stores then and your website used to be great. NOT any more! I have filled my bag 7 times since your sale started, once on Christmas night and the rest on Boxing Day. You have emptied my bag every time. Once you emptied my bag while I was registering for an account with you! Another time I was filtering my purchases and before my eyes the bag emptied. Other times I had let the app go idle for less than 5 mins and again the bag was empty! All the products were still available so they had not been purchased and to be fair your competitors cope with that at checkout. Sorry not sorry Zara, you have missed out on over £200 of my cash! Sort it out!!!

I only recently downloaded this app so have nothing to compare with, but reading the previous the reviews I’m assuming that said problems have been fixed! All searches can be filtered so it’s quite easy to find specific products, and with the European/UK conversion (I’m a UK national living in China) I find that most products fit very well. I’m 191 cm and don’t have difficulty finding products whatsoever. Even though I’m a great distance from the closest Zara store, my orders always arrive within 2 days. The delivery stays update is extremely useful and unlike like most apps, creating an account was incredibly quick and easy! I honestly can’t fault if!

I’m a big fan of Zara clothes for both myself and my daughters, and regularly shop in their Solihull branch. However sometimes it is more convenient to shop online, and sometimes I wish to purchase an item in a size or colour way that is not available in store, so I turn to the app. I find it a truly frustrating experience as some items cannot be found, others appear multiple times on different models, and it is often impossible to filter and refine searches Hence I frequently give up and try different websites. What a shame, Zara should definitely invest in a more user friendly web site to maximise their customer experience.

I received a Zara cardigan, coat, and large scarf for christmas. A few days later I got a Zara gift card for my birthday as an email. I downloaded the app and was able to create an account and add the gift card to my account without spending it on anything yet. Very easy to use and to browse for products. Let’s you enter your body type, weight, age, height etc and then shows you what percentage of people were happy with the size that they bought. I also didn't realise how affordable the clothing was (especially in the sale). Love it, will be doing my clothes shopping online from now!

I use this app a lot. But one thing I find irritating is in the pictures there is usually an outfit put together very nicely which I may like to copy - so I then have to go searching around trying to find that jacket, belt etc that were also in the pic. And on occasion they don’t have them at all. The practical thing would be to list them underneath or at least a link. Very frustrating. Now every time I ask it to email me when my size becomes available it crashes my phone- very strange. Still love the clothes and still spend with them every month.

1. There are no filter functions, this really makes the experience frustrating and should be a basic feature for a shopping app.
2. There’s no way to save favourites so you can revisit later - bit of an oversight!
3. Items you put in your basket aren’t saved, so someone can buy it out from underneath you whilst you’re still browsing!!! This is infuriating! Why on earth wouldn’t you put a hold on basket items, even if just for 15 minutes? It’s the equivalent of me being in your store, picking something out, but someone else taking it out of my hands and buying it instead whilst I’m still browsing other things. Absolutely crazy! All it does is make people either checkout straightaway, meaning you miss out on potentially bigger purchases, or they just abandon the basket altogether in frustration so you lose the sale completely. This definitely needs to be addressed.
4. There’s literally no point telling us the dimensions and sizes of the model if you don’t also say what size they’re wearing. It’s just useless information.
