It is not about the App. It is about the services on the ground.
The Didi App is fine. Although you will still need to take some time to get used to the app and its features, but that’s just like any other apps. The app is fine. What’s more important is the services that the app provides. The cars are not as good as what displaced on the app. The standards also varies from city to city. The charges are not as cheap as you think. So you may have questions about whether it’s value for money. The most importantly, I sensed that app is collecting my behaviour. The charges are getting higher and higher as I use the app more frequently. When I stopped using it for a while, the app sent me more vouchers/coupons to offer discounts to get me back to use the app. I dislike the feeling.

I use it daily and it’s very helpful .
I know the chinese version have much more deep variety of services. Looking forward to have more of that in the English version . Then it’s a five star app for sure .

Did not work on arriving into Beijing. Despite full internet connection search took 20minutes and then it could not connect to any cars. Poor first experience.

Better with Dai Jia function
I love this app as it very convenient but I can only give it four stars and the English version doesn’t have the ‘dai jia’ function the Chinese version has so I have two switch between languages settings to try to work out how to order a driver to come and drive my car to take me home. Would also be handy to have drop pin location for destination and not just pick up point. Other than those two small issues, great work by the developers.

Easy to use and English app to get taxis fairly quickly
I love having an English app. My trips have all been very comfortable, and I have found drivers fairly quickly.
You can message and call the driver through it too, and see where he is in the live map.

...Easy to use and cheap.
Could be improved by; being able to move the dropped pin for your destination location like you can on pick up location; and when writing reviews for drivers, the option boxes only display the first and last few words of the sentence, can't see what the middle of the message reads so difficult to leave accurate reviews!

Great app
This is a great app and the English user interface works well, it really makes getting around easy and safe. I love the premier service I have always had fantastic drivers and a wonderful service.
One request to make the app a full 5 stars and even easier to use would be the ability to drop a pin on your destination the same as you can do for a pick up. Sometimes you know where you want to go but it’s difficult to find an English address for the destination. I hope we can have this option in future upgrades.

No more waiting for ages!
Not everyone can read Chinese. I can speak but since the audio was removed all those months ago, people who can't read such as myself, have been bypassed over and over and over again in a town with a shortage of taxis. I am very happy the app is now available in English. Just audio was fine, but this is the kind of stuff that changes your daily life in China in an instant. So thank you.

Downloaded the app as I'd also read the hype that it was now in English (as also clearly stated on the App Store details and screen shots). I can't find the option to switch from Chinese anywhere and neither can my Chinese colleagues.

拼车服务超级垃圾 不把乘客当人看
滴滴的IT麻烦提高一下技术水平，几公里外的单都会拼进来，好多次兜了一大圈回到自己出发起点，加上一线城市塞车，本来10分钟的路走了1个小时是经常发生的事。我使用滴滴是要改善我生活质量的，拼车服务应该是大家顺路才拼一起的，弄的大家乘客都不开心真没意思

Essential for big cities in China

No long need to intercept a taxi on the road but simply tap your screen and wait to be collected, and finally make a payment within the app if you prefer. Excellent!
