They really need to invest some money into fixing their app and website. Continuous issues with even signing in or creating an account. Also massive issues with not allowing my to scroll through different photos etc. Good app but really needs fixing and spring out some issues

Used to be a very good app but now completely unusable. Constant pop ups saying “refresh token does not exist logout and log in again”. I have logged out and back in and it still pops up constantly. Seems to be the same for others as I have checked recent reviews. Such a shame

Glitchy messaging system.
Having issues currently that I am unable to sent messages on the app. I’ve updated, closed, and refreshed. I get the spinning wheel of death - additionally, when I’m typing a message the curser randomly relocates.
I wish the app recognised when I have replied to an advert to make it easier to navigate which person you have messaged without having to return to your messages and check. Which often loses your search filters.
We simply just want to effortlessly search for the loving new addition to our home.
So far, not impressed.

Supporting backyard breeders
Everywhere I go on pets4homes I see doodles, Merle Pomeranians and French bulldogs, I do not like how they classify doodles as a breed, and I hate how they continue to support doodle breeding.

Recently signed up and was communicating with a few sellers and thought was good till my account randomly went on hold and all I want is to adopt or buy a dog / puppy. No one to call to speak to and no response to know how to rectify and lost all communication and plans made

Awful app
Great if you sell cats or dogs for a living as you can earn well and so it justifies paying to advertise. But, if like me, you sell stick insect eggs, it’s a really rubbish platform. No payment guarantee or way for buyers to pay you, you have to arrange that outside of the app. Just not worth it

First time user
I was unsure about using this app to sell my puppies. Possibly self doubting myself unsure of who the puppies are going to go to and who’s going to turn up on my front door however I put my trust into the app and I have dealt with some very pleasant families.
One thing I find frustrating about the app is on Messages . I’m not sure if it’s just my phone, but when I’m typing a message to a potential customer, the letters jump all over the place. I often have to type the word five times to correct it. I find this very frustrating, but that is my only negativepoint.

The worst app to invest in
If I could give half a star you wouldn’t even deserve that the amount u pay to boost/post your advert and the overall quality and stability of this app is crazy bad!! Non stop bugs and errors u get loads of messages notifications but cannot see none of them until days later and by then they found what they were looking for …. Everything just looks like they exploiting every possible way to make money out of u without helping u make you money u invested back I would advise anyone to use gumtree over this scamming site definitely the worst site out there they have a lot of changing they need to do they to do they will 100% respond to this message with a fake apology to look good for new customers but they do nothing about it because this problem with this app is not new and this app has been out for years I was warned not to use it but as humans we like to try things out ourselves (wish I didn’t)

I invested over £50 in promoting my ads on this app and made zero sells in 3 weeks
I invested £10 on gumtree and sold 7 kittens in 3 days … no lag no bugs direct contact with the customer pets4homes seriously fix things with major updates please don’t just wave it off with rubbish saying ur team is working at it like its a joke now this needs to be brought to YouTube for some exposure

Horrible, full of glitches
The amount you pay to post/boost an advert and the stability, quality and layout of the app is abysmal, continuous bugs and errors, ridiculous amounts of directed messages in your messages from P4H, which in turn moves people’s messages around because they’re constantly adding their own messages for using their pet payment service, so you don’t know who’s messaged you recently or what time etc, honestly this app is just ridiculous now, one big money making scheme. Avoid this platform at all costs.

This app has become really difficult to use! Messaging is horrendously glitchy. It repeatedly reorders letters as you type them and you cannot correct as the glitch just repeats and repeats. Also if you are writing a longer message you can’t see what you’re typing as you cannot scroll down. So frustrating!!!

Honest Experience.
This app has changed our life forever. It’s easy to use and find your dream pet and It ensures that the breeder lists all the information about the animal when they create the advert.
I love this app personally. It has brought a beautiful bouncy playful puppy into our household and we love her to bits. The app makes a safe space to communicate with the breeder and gives you an option to report the advert if it doesn’t seem right. All the breeders on the app that I have talked to are lovely, you can arrange a viewing with the animal with its parents to ensure they are the right fit for you.
The apps features make sure you are ready for a baby or adult animal. It provides a checklist for you to read through. If you pay through the app it provides a secure payment and a 6week free Agria pet insurance and some other perks. The app also caters for people looking for Studs and adoption opportunity’s. This app has been a pleasure to use, and I am still in contact with the breeder and my puppy’s mother thanks to it. Thank you.

Trusted App for Pets& Pippirs
We used this App to find verified breakers 11years ago when we were looking for 2 Scottie Dog pups, and came home with three!
Dogs and puppies should not be marked for sale on uncontrolled sites like Facebook, Marketplace, Gumtree etc but on the AKC or controlled specialised site like this.
Noted the further improvements this time round of the Escrow option to send deposits and balances, for an extra cost, with extra insurance cover too.
Well done for working with genuine breeders & protecting the consumers, breeders and most importantly the puppies and dogs, cats and furry things that are long for a forever home and loving pet owners.

Many of the dog breeds on the list are impossible to find in the UK or to find them you must go through kennel club, and that should be mentioned. Also you should be able to go back to the dog breed you just looked at, instead of going all through the drop-down list again. Apart from that it’s fine.

The app was good but now just closes and won’t open. Very glitchy.
The website has also always been low quality, for example if you click on an ad and then go back to search results it takes you to the beginning instead of where you were.
It also refreshes randomly when you are looking through ad photos and you lose where you were.

Don’t buy the boosts! They are not worth it!
I repeat, do not buy the boosts! I have boosted both adverts for a week, but I’m not listed in the boosted section and despite them claiming it’s other adverts and location, I discovered my own adverts at the end of page two!
What rubbish! Location soecific? Number of adverts? Nooooo… I’m sure it’s bots boosting the views and they don’t seem to have any answers other the information pages that don’t answer the questions, and they just resend them when you finally manage to get a support ticket logged…
Essentially this entire app is a rip off merchant who blames you for expecting a better service when you’re paying for the extras!

Selling Puppies
Over the years this is the only app I have ever used to sell my puppies. And they have sold every time. The app works better and doesn’t jump around - if you set up an account, even if your just looking for a pet.
When setting up my advert, it is easy to do. I move my photos around in date order and every week I add to my Description of the puppies and I add more photos. I can also see how many people have looked at my advert each day!
To improve my advert - similar to the Mum with puppy’s label - I would like to be able to have the option above the photo for a label of - for eg: Mum, Dad, Puppy 1, puppy 2. Litter at week 1, litter at week 2 etc.
I would also like to know whether my phone number is being displayed to account holders. There is no way of seeing this unless I use another phone and set up another account!
Otherwise a really good app that advertises across the whole of the UK and gets results!

my roman empire
where can i even start. over the past few years this app has changed my life so much. i have been able to make sure 3 of my pets (gerbils, hamster and rabbit) have gone to wonderful homes, whilst being able to give other animals amazing homes. just last year i bought 2 kittens off this app and, no, the breeder was not good and you will find plenty of backyard breeders on this app, they made my life so much better. in july of this year i fell in love with a beautiful border collie puppy from an amazing breeder. we drove 4 hours to pick her up and it has since been almost 2 months of having her and she has made my life so much better. i often scroll on this app for fun just to look at all of the adorable animals😂. although it is an app i dont really use, it has been the best and most significant.

Frauds
Do not trust it, it is a website where thieves can easily open accounts and defraud people, I found and sold 2024 baby cats on Sunday, March 22, £550 from this site, the seller disappeared on Monday, March 23, £550 in total, £23 to the cat seller, £573 in total for the safe sales guarantee of the site. I sent it to my pets4homes bank account, I notified the website administrators by email that the seller had disappeared and that I had been defrauded, and I sent the money and all the evidence I had. The website's response to me was not to tell me to go to the police, I sent the money to pest4home, they sent it to the fraudster, they want you to deal with me for the money that went to the thief who is not around. For your information, pest4 home is the one who took the money and they do not give a refund.

Concept let down by App functioning
I have used the App on a number of occasions but it is quite primitive and frustrating. For instance, you can only look at one dog breed at a time. The search areas are rather weird and limiting too. It doesn’t allow certain obvious regions like West or East Kent, South East England or the entire England. If messages are sent in two or three parts, eg words-photo-words, it shows they are unread even if you’ve seen it all.
I once had a a paid ad on but it was hardly viewed in the 3 days it was run.

Hate it but need it
I truly hate this app more than any other in the world. Every single time I come off the app, it logs me out, so I have no idea if I have a message or not. Nothing ever loads except into a white page. I don’t know what’s going on the website used to work fine and now that’s not working either. The only reason I need it to work is because I can sell my kittens quickly, but the cheek of having to pay to put up an advert, I didn’t do that. On the app, you cannot do as much as you want to do like on the website. These two things should be exactly the same, but they are not.. I think the most infuriating thing about it all is when you tap the search bar and you’re not allowed to search anything you have options, but I know what I’m looking for so just let me type it out. It’s a lot quicker and easier

Unhelpful staff, unclear advertising guidelines since changing their terms and conditions. Use animal welfare as an excuse to charge you PER advert EVERY TWO MONTHS. Been using it for years and it used to be a great platform. Instead of using resources to filter out neglectful breeders they’d rather charge as you multiple times and couldn’t give two craps what condition your pets are kept in. Much better off in preloved or free ads.

Not very good app co-ordination
Downloaded the app around 4 weeks ago, created an account. When it came to selling an item I was not alerted of any messages sent via the app, I had to access my email then continue onto the app from there! And now I’ve woken up to find I’ve been logged out of my account and whenever I try logging into the app it tells me there is an error?

This is a great app it quickly finds pets that you want however would be good if they were updated by the owner or deleted as some pets were ready to go to new homes in July but still showing which means you are looking at adverts of pets who are no longer for sale

Stop Punishing responsible breeders
Would be nice if instead of punishing licenced breeders who are complying with the law by charging them a fortune for advertising you made all the back yard breeders who regularly advertise and write ads as an ‘individual’ when it’s clear they aren’t, pay for their ads. In my area breed one pet for sale and you need a licence yet there are loads of adverts for pups and kittens from ‘individuals’. Be part of the solution not the problem and stop irresponsible breeding

A bit upset with the boost price and result and the time to get advert up.
I like the site for the variety of things to sell, buy but just feel the message side is not the best and the boost prices are a tad high.. I didn’t get anything for my the boosts.. I feel maybe the picture side is not the best for showing the best features of the animals and also everyone message’s and then doesn’t respond even thow you have?? I don’t understand that.. I seem to have wasted a lot of time messaging and give people what they want to then not hear anything.. maybe a feedback tab for sellers to learn from buyers or just general reasons for non purchase

App is almost unusable
The website is pretty dire, the page will auto refresh repeatedly and then crash on iOS devices, so thought to try the app. Surprise, it’s worse. If you try to scroll it will immediately flash the page gray/faded out and then tries to reload the pictures.
Every. Time.
It’s like they are trying to stop you from copying the images or text but you can do that easily once you go into an ad so it’s just bad design.
It’s hit and miss when trying to scroll, if you try to scroll and you hit an image it might let you scroll or it might just not let you.
Then you have the fact that you go into an ad and the pictures do not load. Or they do but then when you click a photo it won’t load and when you go back all the images are now missing. This happens more often than not, and it’s not internet as we have great internet here.

Sort the bugs out!
I’ve tried multiple times to post a advert but every time you start writing the description the app crashes and everything gets deleted. This issue has been going on months. I also scrolled though the app trying to find where to directly repot bugs but couldn’t find anything hence why I’m putting it here.

i honestly love this app. i’m 13 with a cat who’s around 9/10 as of 2022, and i’d love to get a puppy to keep her company in her older years. we’re hoping to get one any time from this summer to next summer, but i’ve. been looking at dogs on this app since like december 2021. they don’t only have dogs, there’s also cats, rodents, fish, birds, there’s even horses and poultry. but yeah,if you’re looking to adopt/buy an animal (or advertise/sell one, or put your pet up for stud) then i really recommend this, great app.

Really bad experience using this app. Have an alert set up for kittens in my area, but might as well not have bothered as they only come through about 12-18hrs after the ads are listed, so might as well not have bothered as the kittens are always reserved by that time. Have tried reaching out to customer support but they couldn’t care less - feel like they are actually gaslighting me about the whole thing. The messaging system is crap too!

Gone Down Hill
I’ve used Pets4Homes many times for quite a few years now. Was easy to use, simple, and communicating with other users and searching for what you were looking for was so much easier on the old software/layout. Only the last couple of months or so I’ve not enjoyed using it due to the updates. Which is a shame because this app was great before.

I don’t have an account?
I got the app to look for a puppy to give a forever home, however I can not make and account for Pets4home as I have an account?! I have never had this app on any of my devices nor have I logged or signed up on the web. I would’ve liked to see the dogs but I guess that will not happen. Please just remove your app from the store it is super inefficient and buggy I took all the steps and still could not make an account. Very dissatisfied

Starts off well…
Was working well however it seems I’ve maybe sent too many messages (maybe around 10?) and now won’t let me send anymore and it crashes! This has happened daily for over a week. Favourites also crashes. Was going great until recently, disappointed

Decent, but forgets your details
I guess the app is just convenient enough to have, but when you type your postcode or city in, and then add the animal type you are looking for, it refreshes the city/region bit and you have to constantly put it in again. Since the update the same thing has been happening on the website as well, so it just comes down to fixing the coding a bit and it would be much more user friendly and convenient.

Rubbish App
Absolutely the worst app I have ever had the misfortune to use. Where do I start? Well, I have replied to over 20 adverts for dogs I am interested in, not one has ever replied via the pets4homes messaging system. The search facility is a joke, it constantly forgets the location you have selected, plus any other parameters you type in. Search area is a joke, constantly get adverts for over 100 mile away from where I live, despite typing in up to 15 miles. Saved searches alerts don’t work, until you delete them, then you get loads come through to your email, and no way to stop them as the alert doesn’t exist in your account any more. Suspect a lot of the ads are fake as well as the numbers attached to them. A complete waste of time, there are other ways to find a pet and I strongly suggest you try elsewhere if you don’t want your search to be as frustrating and painful as having your teeth pulled out!

Straight forward to use!
Good app generally however I find that it crashes frequently which is annoying!
Also it doesn’t have breed info on the app which it does on the website, I like the breed info.
Apart from those points I like the app.

Not safe
At no time did I feel secure going through pets 4 homes. Each time I contacted them they gave a different answer. No explanation of the benefit of going via their deposit (they don’t tell you they charge 2% of the total just to delay fund transfer by up to 7 days. Not cool) In addition software glitch meant I had to re-register to pay via the disastrous escrow. Lost all photos. Thanks pets 4 home for a thoroughly unpleasant experience.

So generally good on WIFI and 4G but can be super sticky on 3G … suspect images to blame … also use words to assist searching but many useful filters … adverts a necessary evil!!

I’m struggling to see an option to sort search results by distance? This would be extremely helpful to all who use this app especially for us that live in the sticks! More than 150 mile radius is necessary too. Thank you

It would be good if you allowed people to sell there unwanted equipment, ie. fish pond equipment, filters, pumps etc, plus bird stuff, cages, etc, I feel that would encourage even more people to use your site, maybe that’s something you guys could look into and consider, there are lots of people selling these items and would be good to advertise these on your site for other people to buy.

New version a huge step backwards
There is a saying - if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. What were Pets4Homes thinking of when they updated a really good, easy to use and navigate app? Over the years, I’ve found 3 of my dogs on this site but certainly won’t use again. Just tried looking for a cockapoo puppy for sale within 30 miles of my home - 4th entry was 132 miles away! Note to developer - admit defeat and bring back previous format.

Shocking app is cumbersome compared to old one
First I am a rescue, I only post 1 dog at a time so it is frustrating you ask how many in a litter 🤷♀️ make the distinction lazy developing.
Second Currently rescues are allowed to home pups without the mother present younger than 6 months. But you are not allowing this
So many errors pop up. You tell me there is a error AND it’s successful 🤦♀️ seriously such a time consuming thing now to load an adoption add on my phone

New App needs amending
Whilst the new app has some good points, one of the things that needs to be added back in on the search criteria is to sort by ‘distance’
At the moment without this the puppy adverts come up in random location so have to wade through them all to get those nearest to my location.
