As well as all of your favourite features such as changing your tariff, managing your monthly direct debit payments, entering your gas and electricity meter readings and keeping track of your gas and electricity usage with your smartphone on the go, we've also added a bunch of exciting new features for you to try!
Home Screen
It’s now easier than ever to find your key services within the app, we’ve organised the home screen by categories. You will see all of your energy account related features first and foremost as you told us these were most important to you. The home screen is personalised to you, depending on what features your account should have.
Smart Home
Homes are becoming more and more connected, with Smart Meters and Smart devices such as the new Honeywell Lyric Thermostat allowing us to gain more control of our home while on the go. The Smart Home section allows you quick and easy access to all of your Smart Home devices, right there on the home screen with just one click.
Electric Vehicles
As a company, we are committed to a cleaner energy future and we want to allow you to easily control your eco-friendly Electric Vehicle in the app, find your nearest charging point and see some other key information about your vehicle as we add more features to the app.
Stay Logged In
We have introduced the ability to stay logged in to the app. You may be used to this with some of your favourite apps, if you would like to log out each time the option is still there in My Account.
Change My Tariff
Are you on the best energy deal for you? Our online tariff selector lets you compare our available energy tariffs and it only takes a few minutes to choose a new tariff. WithFreedom, you can change to any ScottishPower tariff without paying exit fees.
Direct Debit Manager
Stay in control of your monthly direct debit payments within the app. Our handy direct debit manager tool allows you to view your gas and electricity usage and adjust payments to suit your needs, helping you to know where you stand with your bills.
View Bills & Energy Usage
Monitor your energy usage and bills across the year, view a detailed breakdown of your gas and electricity and even email your bill with our simple usage and bills graphs. There is also some really handy energy efficiency tips to keep you on the right track.

Scottish power app (new update)

New update is absolutely rubbish!! Why can’t I see what payments have been made! I could before ! Your suppose to update the app for the better obviously it’s better for ScottishPower!! So bloody annoyed! Sort it or I’m off !!!! 😡😡😡

Useless Useless Useless

Energy usage figures now updating again.
It really is about time this app was made reliable. So much negative feedback about it and yet the developers don’t really seem to take any notice of it.

Since the last update my energy usage figures are not updating. I have logged out and back in again but still they won’t update. When you fix one thing you break something else sadly.

App has been working ok for the last few weeks amazingly HOWEVER since yesterday unable to view latest consumption figures or latest bill. Just getting “oops something went wrong”. After logging out as suggested by app developers it’s now saying incorrect username or password when trying to log back in on both my iPhone and iPad. I am able to log in via Safari but that defeats the point of the app.
It really is time that Scottish Power got a grip with this app and got it sorted so it does what it is supposed to reliably.

Crap

Waste of time

Since the update you can no longer submit readings or find out when you’re readings are due without going on the main website. This makes this app redundant and a total waste of time.

Awful

Still waiting on my credit from my old meters before they installed smart meters, then they closed my pre payment account and couldn’t top up. Then they closed account and fixed it but still no credit refund of over £250 and now the new update doesn’t tell you how much is in your meters pointless company really

App been updated and it’s completely useless, credit doesn’t show properly and the app stays logged in all time. Doesn’t communicate with smart meter AWFUL AWFUL APP

Ok so they obviously don’t listen to there customers as the app is so awful and every update they make it worse, whoever designs and makes this app should be put in ScottishPowers electric chair and have a thousand kilowatts shot through them seriously a 5 year old could do better

App not working

Just downloaded the app. When I tapped the meter reading menu I got the reply “ your meter readings have been received” which I found rather strange as I had not entered any. This may I add was after I had tried to phone the customer helpline and gave up after waiting for 20 minutes. This was after responding to a request for meter readings only to be told that I was trying to perform an operation that my account was not set up for. I have now been told that my next bill will be an estimate one. This is so frustrating and so messed up. It gives the impression that Scottish Power do not have a clue what they are doing. It’s no wonder customers are leaving in droves. If this is not sorted soon I will be joining them. It will be interesting to see if anyone gives this review a blind bit of notice. I’m not holding out with any hope. Please prove me wrong.

Not very intuitive or easy to use, after more than a year still doesn’t talk to my smart meters (despite many calls to Scottish Power), so still no in-app automatic meter readings, nor accurate billing. Ridiculous.

Smart Meter

I made the mistake of moving to smart meters last year. Just learnt today that my “smart?” electric meter reading is 3 months out of date and had to enter a manual reading. What’s happening?
I strongly recommend that if you’re thinking of changing over to smart meters, don’t do it!!
In my experience the whole process is about the power company saving on their outgoings. Throughout the process I received poor service from amateur, contracted installers and difficulty in contacting the parent company. I was then told that the “poor standard” workmanship would not be corrected because it is “safe”. I repeat, if you’re thinking of changing to smart meters, I strongly recommend that you don't do it.

Spent 90 min on phone waiting for customer service to answer

Would not recommend this app. Last month had trouble logging in with password I’ve used for the past 2 years and wouldn’t allow me to reset with a new password. Next day I eventually spoke to them and got the problem sorted but guess what, went on today to say I’ve put in the wrong password again even though I use Touch ID. Would someone please contact me from ScottishPower to get this sorted out.

Awful!

Honestly I do not recommend the app at all! For 2 months I have been putting readings in and paying money and every time I check I was told I was in credit also the meter readings were no where to be found on there so I thought that’s strange then I had a load money taken from my bank not what I expected at all! So I went checked my account still saying in credit but hasn’t added the most recent amount so I’m like ok that’s strange go and check my online account and it says something completely different! The app hasn’t been updating for the last 2 months so all activity hasn’t been recorded in the app then causing me problems so I really don’t recommend the app just stick to the online version!

Bad app. Appalling customer services

Your app is truly terrible, can’t do most things you want to do with it.
Your customer services stink! Not enough people answering the telephones. You wait for 35 minutes to be connected… And then get cut off. Consequently you have to start the whole process again. Will be looking to switch as soon as possible

No contact, lied and taken my credit balance

Since extra energy were taken over by Scottish power contact has been virtually impossible.
I tried to switch to Eon but Scottish power phoned, told me I couldn’t, transferred me to cancel it and said that they had put me on a new cheaper tariff. Scottish power lied. The tariff did not exist. Which I am sure is illegal.
I have now cancelled my direct debit and transferred to Avro Energy.
Scottish Power have promised for 5 months to honour my credit balance with extra energy but again have lied and have not credited it to my account.

In home display and price hike

The in home display has not worked for 8 months.? It would appear from various phone calls its never going to.
The new tariff you would like me to take on is an insult for being a good customer charging me 3times as much for standing charges as last year if this is how you treat your faithful customers all i can say is GOODBYE.
