Order food to city hospital and was never delivered but was checked of by the driver as delivered and now have to wait for a refund but won't get a full refund due to the fact they don't pay the service charge back so I'm out of pocket and no food for the night. Don’t bother, 50% chance you’ll be scammed. If you attempt to receive a refund, staff will ignore your complaints for 24+ hours. Once they do that they’re not required to refund you, so you basically just got scammed. Furthermore, never expect your food to be less than an hour late or be delivered in a good condition. I’ve lost a lot of money to this app, don’t make the same mistakes as me!

I’ve used just eat for years, like ever since it came out. Unfortunately in recent months almost every single time I order anything whether it’s groceries or take out, Atleast 1 item I’ve ordered and paid for is missing, when you report this to Just eat they email you saying “there isn’t sufficient evidence to support a refund” when you email them explaining this is reoccurring issue and is clearly either being left out at shops/takeaways or alternatively the drivers they’re using are stealing from their customers. Neither of which I have any control over. This isn’t just once or twice it’s Atleast 1 item out of every single order.

I’ve been ordering from the same restaurant and collected 5 stamps with money off voucher for my next order. Once i got the voucher, the restaurant reduced its radius and stop delivering food to my area causing me to unable to use the voucher to order food for delivery. I contacted Just Eat and they were unable to help at all apart from telling me to order and collect from the restaurant which the restaurant is far away almost an hours walk by foot. I asked them if they could transfer the stamps/money i collected to voucher to use at another restaurant and they said no and there is nothing they can do. So collecting stamps is useless if the restaurant either reduce its radius or stop being partners with Just Eat.

Only a few days ago I made an order on just eat for me and my sister, I spend my last £25 on this order for it never to show up. Being 17 still in full time education with no source of income this was a big deal as now I have lost my money. I am absolutely disgusted in the customer service, why only have the answers to questions many people don’t need? Or why is there no helpline? To run a business like this you must exhaust every option to satisfy the customers, Just Eat clearly do not care for customer satisfaction but only their own. As long as they have their money the rest doesn’t come close to priority. I ordered our food 3 hours before it showed up as delivered, those 3 hours I spend waiting up on the road outside as I know myself that my address is difficult to find, I saw one car drive past of which I suspect could have been a potential delivery driver but he never stopped. Will definitely be using Uber Eats from now on as they are very reliable and have always corrected their mistakes when necessary. Definitely never using just eat.

When you order from most restaurants on the app if something is missing you can let just eat know what individual items are missing and maybe get it refunded but if you order from Pizza Hut they put all what you order under one name like a meal deal or offer so when items are missing or under cooked you have to to report all items missing and then just eat do nothing. :(

Just eat used to be good but sadly they seem to have changed their customer service policy.
I will no longer be using them there are better companies who care about their customers.
Check out Deliveroo or Go puff excellent customer service great options, much better than just eat.
They don’t even provide easily accessible live support anymore it seems? It was certainly very difficult for me to get help and it didn’t used to be.
There seems to be ways to get to the live chat but only after I rang their partner line to ask how to reach this option which was in a very weird separate page in fact their customer service rep told me it can’t be reached through the app???
Bye bye just eat hello any other delivery service.

Customer service is beyond abysmal, i placed my order at 4:05pm, was told i would receive my order between 4:55pm-5:15pm. i am writing this review at 6:35pm with no order in sight.
upon calling the restruant i have discovered my food has been waiting over 2 hours and it is lack of a delivery driver that has caused this delay. so in simple terms, just eat drivers are on strike/refusing to work. however just eat are slimy scum and will still accept your oder and take your money without informing you there is no way for it to be delivered to you. just eat promise quality delivery, and timeframe updates. they offer neither of this.
i 100% would recommend ubereats over justeats regardless of uber being more expensive, just eat will not provide your order or good customer service like ubereats do. I honestly am so disgusted by their customer service, i have 2 starving chrildren who have been waiting for their mcdonals ‘ treat ‘ all week. i have no food in as i had planned this in advance, and i myself am beyond hungry now. nearly 3 hours since i placed my order and no sign of it whatsoever. i hope just eat is proud they are causing chrildren to go hunrgy and stealing money from low income households whilst corporate makes millions a month. because i will be making my experience and story VERY public

Why I live just eat is basically my only option for fast food delivery so I stared using the app when I moved to the area 3 years ago and the food arrived quickly and was still hot so perfect company but now my last 3 delivery have had mistakes or issues like the driver leaving the food in a puddle then running back to his car or drivers taking multiple orders making the food late and cold and then on top of that giving the wrong order to people so you don’t even get what you paid for. And to top it all off you would think customer service would help nope they will not you can send them photos that quite literally show the issue and when they get back to you after you’ve binned the mistake since I’m not going to sit around with a cold uneaten mistake in my kitchen they say your photos arnt even good enough and they need more photos, photos you can no longer send so no refund no responsibility taken from delivery driver and a pile of uneaten food and money wasted.
I’m since I’ve had a few good years I’m giving this company two more chances but if they screw up one of them I’m going to be done with the app

I placed an order on just eat and as soon as I got the notification I went to the main door and waited for the delivery guy but nobody showed up and when I checked the order status it showed it was delivered but to who? Just eat doesn’t have answer to that. Their investigation is taking so long. And there is so number to contact either the delivery guy or the company so how is one supposed to get help in such situation. The worst app of all I’m never ordering from just eat anymore. Even after searching up number on google and getting a number from the restaurant no help was provided.
Recent update from my experience that I got to through twice. I placed an order and it got delivered to who and where idk. So I speak to a customer care support and the first time they issued me a refund so I asked them if I can reorder again so they said once they issue me my refund I will be able to reorder so after speak to them I reordered and guess what the same story repeats but this time even thought standing at my main door waiting for the delivery guy no one turned up. And the customer support just hanged up on me in the middle stating that she can’t help me. How is this fair. Atleast give me an explanation is to what has happened with my order and where did it go. The first time I ignore it all and thought it won’t repeat again but this is the third time.

Although I have used Just Eat on a number of occasions, I am very disappointed with the fact that customer service has been totally sacrificed. The app is fine but God help you if anything goes wrong because Just Eat really don’t care about customers at the end of the day, they just see this as a monopoly and a license to print money which is totally unfair on the customers. I recently took advantage of the stamp card system only to discover that once I was able to redeem a discount that I couldn’t actually do so without assistance. The problem is when you come to check out, you have to use a slider to redeem your voucher. Why they couldn’t have a button that you could click on to say redeem voucher is beyond me, and it’s completely shortsighted on a part of the Customer Services team. You can’t ring anyone, you can’t speak to anybody anymore and when you go into the health section you are just presented with a series of questions and end up going round and round in circles. My friends and I have used Just Eat on a few occasions over recent months where orders haven’t arrived and we have really struggled to get refunds. In fact on occasion my friend had to go to his credit card company and he got his money eventually by putting in a dispute. What has gone wrong with customer service in this country?

Somebody made an order off of my account to the wrong address by accident which cost £81, I cancelled the card order within seconds before the order was accepted and received a notification that I wouldn’t be entitled to a refund. I tried to contact just eat off the app but i had no way of speaking to them as their help center only answered questions that was not helpful to my situation. I tried to call them and they have no way of speaking to anyone on the phone as it is an automated service. just tells you to use their help center. Then I contacted them by leaving them a message on their website which I had no response, I left a second message that also had no response and this has been 5 days now with just eat not contacting me. I am DISGUSTED at the treatment from just eat. I was only made aware today that the terms and conditions have been updated recently to state the customer are not entitled to make a cancellation and receive a refund which is ridiculous especially when you make an order so big which you need to cancel and you lose your money. I will be making sure I take this further as the customer service is absolutely terrible and i have been made a victim to day light robbery. £81 is a lot of money to lose and now I have no way of getting it back is sickening. Just eat are clearly a fraudulent company and are more interested in taking our money then helping their customers. I hope that everyone learns from this and STOPS USING JUST EAT!

Customer service was horrible we paid for £48 worth of food the driver then left the food on the floor and quickly left before we could confirm that it was out order which it wasn’t we sent the receipt to them as we said this isn’t our order we had throw it away as my girlfriend was ALLERGIC to most of the items in that order that was given to us. However, according to their ‘policy’ as we had thrown it away they weren’t able to give us a refund as the food was consumed/thrown away. Honestly the poorest customer service I’ve had to deal with. I recommend not to order big orders from this place as they get money hungry as they won’t give you back any of your money I sent multiple email to them explaining my food was here we was given the wrong order showed pictures of the receipt and also have LIVE footage of the driver leaving it on the floor and quickly returning to his card as by the way he moved so fast to get back in his car indicates he knew it was the wrong order but didn’t want to take responsibilities for giving us the wrong order. Honestly it’s disgusting the fact they won’t refund us knowing we’ve shown proof of the receipt that was completely wrong and wasn’t even worth the amount we had paid for. 1. Adding ability to give additional delivery details with the order - delivery riders can never find my flat from address - I have to tell them the same thing every time. It would be easier if I could just give them those instructions with the order (as you can for other delivery apps).
2. It would be useful to be able to delay delivery/ change delivery time after an order is submitted (particularly groceries orders). I clicked ASAP for a small shop from a supermarket (less than 10 items), but the estimated delivery time when it went through was over 1hr later. I didn’t expect ASAP to take that long in the middle of a working day. I had a conference call at that time and the app wouldn’t let me cancel without paying full price. It would have been good to have been able to push the groceries delivery back by 1hr/ 30 mins at that point. I emailed your customer services team but didn’t get a response. I live on my own and couldn’t buzz the driver in through the security doors when they turned up (as I was talking on a call), which was frustrating for both driver and me.

Used this app frequently for many years now. Great variety of restaurants. Never had an issue until now. I ordered 2 different calzones and when they both arrived, they had a funny taste like it was old ingredients or been near perfume or chemical. Both calzones had this taste, I contacted just eats and they sent a generic response stating ‘each restaurant has their own style, ingredients and way of cooking so they will taste different from other ones.
I understand this but there is a box standard taste which it should vary too far from, this wasn’t edible and had to be binned as it tasted chemically or old. I responded with this and they practically said ‘our decision is made, just leave a review for the restaurant you ordered from.
3 of us in the house said it tasted off and we eat calzones often. We had to order a new takeaway from else where. Overall great app, great variety and hardly any issues, just don’t expect much help from them if you have an issue. I know a few people who have had similar experience, seems like they look after their ‘partner restaurants’ more than the customers.

Originally I was going to rate this highly because I love the new feature where you can adjust the pin for your address on your account (mine was always wrong); however, there is a huge issue that I feel overrides all the good things about this app — you can no longer contact a human for support, nor can you request a refund. There is no chat or telephone number to contact at all. Was ripped off because the app changed my food delivery to collection (I never choose collection because I have a disability which makes it difficult for me to go out). I called the restaurant to explain the problem, & they said I needed to contact JustEat — no one could provide me with a way to contact them, & the number provided on google just has an automated message telling you to go to the “help” section on the website, which is useless & provides no way to contact anyone. I messaged JustEat on Facebook, but after 3 days still have not received a response. I’m now down the cost of my food, but had no food. Please sort this!

I’m rather annoyed that these take away apps are now charging other costs like service charge and expecting tips on top so y’all’s pay a tip for the App company plus a tip for the delivery driver which is out of order! Either one or the other, so I’m pleased that Just Eat doesn’t have both costs like Deliveroo and Uber Eats which pile on the charges when all y’all’s want is a good price value takeaway meal . Just Eat is a bit lacking with good grocery shops but even then bc of mistakes from supermarkets and staff I’ve had to ask for refund s but Uber and Deliveroo refuse to give refunds on mistakes they make such as missing items or wrong items I have now got to a point where they refuse to refund you money on missing items etc which is infuriating and criminally wrong. Just Eat doesn’t refuse any refunds if they’ve made a mistake so far . Overall less hassle about tips and more likely to get refunds back . Lacks some of the major grocery shops .

The most abysmal customer service I have ever received, placed an order through just eat for an order from Greggs, the driver picked up the wrong order and delivered me the wrong one, when speaking to the restaurant they informed me that my order was on the counter ready to be collected but I had to contact just eat, when speaking to one of their incompetent customer service agents they stated I needed to speak to the restaurant and that they were unable to arrange someone to deliver my order and that I would have to take photos of the receipt and the order as proof and they would get back to me within 24 hours. Absolute disgusting customer service, two orders that have been delivered to the wrong people and wasted food, I will NEVER use this absolutely useless service again. I expect my refund ASAP. The lovely lady in the restaurant even offered to drop it to me and could not have been more apologetic, this company makes these restaurants look bad for their incompetence and clearly stupid delivery drivers who cannot seem to read the correct order number on a receipt. The sheer fact that the delivery driver was in the restaurant at the time when I called but refused to speak to me or deliver my order when I live 10 minutes away, absolutely disgusting service and awful people operating this money grabbing company making a bad name of these restaurants.

Hi do not order with this app I ordered from Taco Bell looking forward to it but when I received it there was no food hardly in each item I spent 30 something pounds and got hardly any food I took pictures to complain to just eat asking for a refund on the items that was affected ie tacos and supreme wrap witch had nothing hardly in it also the chips and churros where all mixed together I also provided evidence of this but there reply was sorry we cannot give you a refund because it’s not our responsibility but the restaurants witch is not true they have a contact with each company if the company doesn’t give what should be given they have all the right to do something I got two reply’s from two separate people stating the the decision was correct but if they don’t look after there customers how do they expect people to want to order with them when any person orders there food they should get what they paid for unfortunately I didn’t but I won’t be ordering from this app ever again nether will my family I should them the pictures and also contacted Taco Bell through another route this company should be ashamed for letting this type of thing happen to its customers if I could zero stars I would they don’t look after your best interest witch is very said as I’ve been a customer for a long time so long just east

I’d ordered a subway that was to be delivered between 35-55 mins from my order time ,this time was put back several times to the point where it would have been 1 hour 20 mins to receive my order and at this point subway still hadn’t found a delivery driver ,I tried to ring the restaurant but they refused to answer the phone after continually calling them .I decided I’d had enough and wanted to cancel my order so started to speak to just eat on there help txt they said I could cancel my order but wouldn’t receive my money back because they had already started making the food even though they had no driver assigned I explained to the person at just eat but he just decided he had helped me enough and told me to wait for my food and to get back in touch if it didn’t arrive unsurprisingly the food was cold and the order was wrong I tried to contact just eat to convey my frustration but there is no way of contacting them unless you have made and order and if it has been delivered they’re not interested ,fancy getting in touch with me just eat because I’d really like a word ???????????

The app is usually good but god help you if something goes wrong. The problem with just eat is that it makes it almost impossible to get good service. If you order directly from a restaurant and there is something wrong with the food like it’s the wrong order or freezing cold or it’s been sat waiting for delivery for an hour you would complain directly and likely get a refund or replacement if it’s a decent reputable establishment. Just eat is the middleman that enforces what they consider to be the correct outcome often at the detriment to the restaurant and customer. For example, ordered a curry and a kebab from a restaurant with good reviews. It was late and freezing cold. I contacted just eat who refunded me a small percentage even though you really can’t warm a kebab up. I won’t order from there again but if I had been able to sort this out with the restaurant directly they would probably have refunded/replaced and I would have given them another chance. It’s also impossible to speak directly to a human now so you are pretty much on your own if there’s an issue. It’s really gone downhill and I feel sorry for the restaurants who have to sign up with them because of the monopoly they hold over the industry. To top it off and money they give you back is in ‘just eat credit’ so you can’t even make an informed choice about changing providers. Used to be a good service but it’s obvs got way too big and customer service has been sacrificed.

A truly terrible aggregate/courier service which hires unpleasant drivers which seldom speak any kind of coherent English, which I witness both as a customer and working for a shop which has Just Eat alongside Deliveroo and Uber Eats, aggregates which are just as bad. I am frequently barked “Just Eat” at while at work and couriers are either too ignorant to, or don’t know how to say which order number they’re collecting; and as a customer, they frequently get lost looking for my address which is on a main road in my city.
Usually things are missing from orders I’ve placed with Just Eat, but I know this is down to oversight from overstretched shop and hospitality workers who simply don’t have the time or resources to juggle in-person customers with vast quantities of remote orders - of course something will go wrong, we’re all human.
All in all, it’s a highly flawed aggregate system with way more drawbacks than positives, and a massively inflated price point, presumably for Just Eat’s profit margin. The only thing I use it for is to find takeaways which I will then order from directly - for the sake of customer service I would suggest others do the same.

I’ve had 100 or more instances were they won’t refund me due to the fact I’ve had refunds in the past I spent 45 pounds on an order only for it to all cold smashed and squashed with missing items to be told I won’t receive a refund bk this has happened over 200 times im so tired of them robbing me of the money I have very little of thank just eat for mentally messing with my mind and food p.s just because a person has had refunds with your company does not allow you to say we can’t refund u due to past refund that’s against the law im legally entitled to a refund if you don’t supple the service you advertise so frequently hence false advertisement saying you’ll bring it to my door when cus all ur drivers refuse to deliver to the door and half the time they make me walk I struggle to walk due to a disability so again thanks for the abuse hope this helps u to decide to go to Uber we’re at least they know we’re you live and bring food to your dam door p.s just eat one day I’ll sue u

Disgusting customer service! App is all fine and dandy until you have a problem with the food you ordered.
Ordered a burger last week and the chicken was pink inside and clearly not cooked. Whole meal was ruined and to add to it food was cold. Contacted JustEat sent a picture through and they only agreed to provide a credit note for the burger. Refused a refund for whole order. Credit note never applied to account. Contacted again and they lie through their teeth and said it had. Contacted again and now it can only be applied if you pay by card and not PayPal or Apple Pay. Why should customers give their debit card details over? Makes you wonder if this app is secure? Happy to take payment by Apple Pay. Tried again tonight but no credit applied.
Judging by the reviews it’s about time Trading Standards got involved with this lot. People are paying nearly double since lockdown and some companies are getting away with presenting a shocking quality of food. Add to that they charge you 50p plus to use the app. You should have recourse to a full refund if the standard is poor or food cold. Avoid and don’t use.

Not sure what these people pay their drivers. Obviously not enough to deliver food I paid for to my door. Twice my deliveries-tracked me watching-looked as tho' v close to my door. Did not ring my bell but said delivered. The customer services, dreadful, sounded amused and said leave your review with the restaurant on the app. I rang the restaurant who's reply was, sorry not our problem. My money-not freely earned-taken and all but me laughing to their banks, or happier than my, bellies.
This needs investigating by the police. Good luck with that. Personally I say in these times, if you are not disabled, do what we used to do in this country, call ahead, collect it yourself. Or book a table at the restaurant. We know times are tough, but not all people wanting a home delivery of hot, cooked food are able bodied or in such credit with big banks that they can afford to be stolen from. Seems the drivers and the app owners are happy to award themselves freebies from our hard earned pensions or hard earned wages!
Shame on them all. Seems I'm not the only victim of theft from this disreputable delivery company. Deleted the app.

I have ordered from JustEat numerous times and struggle to remember them delivering an order that was 100% correct. Usually you tell them whats missing and they credit it back to your account. Which sometimes is alright if its a drink or a side dish but other times its just disgraceful for example I have a family of 5 and one person will be missing half or all of their meal! Usually my youngest so he sits crying wheres his happy meal while everyone else is expected to eat. A refund doesn't really cut it on those occasions a sincere apology might but you wont get one. I recently ordered from McDonalds who kindly inserted a note to say they were out of an item we ordered so please claim a refund for that item. Sounds simple until JustEat refused on the basis Ive had too many credits in the past! So basically their staff either dont check the order, steal items from you or blackholes are randomly appearing in their delivery bags but regardless of which thats your fault as a paying customer. Id say use Uber Eats instead but they are just as bad if not worse! Id honestly give less than 1* if it was possible

I ordered a meal which would take about 15-20 minutes to arrive. After 35 minutes of waiting I checked the app to see the driver at the restaurant. Then after an hour of waiting for my food I checked the location of my driver who was “on way” to find that he was at the other side of the city with my order in a residential area where he stayed for a further 2 hours until he turned his location tracker off on the app. I attempted to contact Just Eat through the app which then referred me to the just eat website where I left a complaint (which they never responded to). The next day I emailed just eat and left a complaint AND attempted to phone about 3 different phone numbers (I was on a waiting list on all of these lines for about 20 minutes each and gave up). I still haven’t received any word back on this event never mind a refund, very disappointed considering I’ve never had to make a complaint about this app…

Seriously even if you takeaway the absolutely dreadful customer service, the constant stream of text and emails with discounts that aren’t really discounts, even if you take away all that the app is still a buggy unresponsive slow mess. Firstly the UI is designed to entice laziness and addiction for of all things; takeaways if this is not a warning sign then I do not know what is. Any customer service you might receive is an absolute joke who cannot even answer a straight question, their live chat is a joke to the point my app was manually shut down by just eat app support because they’re advisors would not escalate straight to their management. Secondly to cap it all off this sad excuse for a brand will blame the restaurant’s for their drivers barging in, leaving some takeout on the backseats of their car with no insulated bag (seriously 1 in 2 of the disgustingly sweaty drivers will do this) and as I mentioned this food is usually cold by the time it arrives. Finally the marketing. You know what you are doing badly just eat, double check your Gdpr laws and throw in an option to turn off marketing at sign up. Do yourself and any local takeaways a favour and check their website or grab a menu from them. Do not give your money to this parasitic service that lives for its own mediocrity.

I order a drink from McDonalds and this was 22:40 i got an email stating I would’ve received my food between 23:00 & 23:20 after paying a whole 3.99 for delivery from hanley town center to my place which is jus 5 mins walk away from the McDonald but I couldn’t pick up apparently so i said ok because i really want the drink am gonna jus pay to have it delivered on top of the 3.99 i have to pay 50p to use the app and my drink cost £2 and a few pence anyway I proceeded with my order and paid…. Only to be here patiently waiting on my order to arrive after realising I didn’t get anymore updates to say the driver left or the driver is near i went on the app to see what was the problem and when I opened the app it the drink didn’t even started preparing or anything like that 5 mins after i checked back it said my order was delivered so i was so confused I looked outside to see if i was the one going mad but didn’t even see anyone or my order I reported it straight away and now just-eat jus keep replying to my email saying i need to explain what took place 🙄🙄🙄🙄 this is mad annoying

The last two ordered I have placed with just eat have been horrendous. One from costa I ordered arrived an hour past the latest time it was scheduled to arrive, I had to leave for work so no one was even able to have this order when delivered due to food allergies.
My last order with McDonald’s never arrived. I waited over two hours past the last way scheduled time for it to arrive and it never did. It was very difficult to even speak to someone about this order, to “chat” to someone I was told to go through a route which didn’t even apply to why I needed to speak with someone. After speaking I stated I wanted a refund not credit, and I was credited. I was not even credited the full amount, I was still charged for services fee and deliver fee, which baring in mind I never received this order. After speaking with someone yet again, today. I was told I could have the service fee and deliver fee back (credited) as “good will”…. How is it in good will when I never received this order so why should I ever be expected to pay for deliver and service. I was told I was not able to be given a reason for this as you don’t tell customer the policy for this. Now I am being forced to use this app one last time because I have been credited, after this I am deleting the app and will be using Deliveroo as their customer service is 100 times much better then this.

Ordered some food from a place on just eat but the food never arrived I got in contact with the food place who told me it would be a little while longer so I waited, another hour goes by and nothing so now I’m really annoyed and call up and just asked for a refund they told me that’s fine we will process the refund for you ok so far so good.
7 days go by and you may be wondering why did you wait 7 days and I’ll tell ya it’s because that’s how long it can take for a refund to process on just eat anyway I get nothing not even an email from just eat so I think ok the takeaway place has taken my money so I get onto just eat app and find some help… what a joke that was the first person I talk to asked me to explain what happened but half way through me typing he just up and left the chat which is always a good sign 2nd time they tell me they need to transfer me to another person and they tell me that because I didn’t chat to them within 72 hours about this there is nothing they can do about it bare in mind that it takes 7 days to process a refund so I basically got scammed and just eat can’t or won’t do anything about this. DONT USE JUST EAT!!!! Seriously just go and download deliveroo or Uber eats.

About half the orders I’ve placed on Just Eats have turned out fine— I got my food relatively on time and it was all there. The other half have been varying degrees of TERRIBLE. Once I got my food and only half of it was there. I had to scramble to find the restaurant’s contact info (not listed in the app), try to contact Just Eats (their “help” is either robots or pages that suggest complaining to the restaurant). Another time, a Just Eats delivery driver forcefully damaged my neighbor’s gate. When I complained, I was shuffled through several different contacts until finally I was asked to give my personal contact information to the private driver— WHY would I want them to have my number? Finally, tonight the app said my food had been delivered— 45 minutes before the driver even left the restaurant with my food. Two hours later, and the driver is still not here. I trust the restaurant, having had good experiences with them through Uber Eats. I will not be using Just Eats again. I can’t “just eat” if my food never arrives or I have to spend the evening placating my irate neighbors. The app is glitchy, the service is terrible.

My order never arrived but says it has been delivered already. I contacted just eat they told me it’s gonna take few days to investigate and get back to me. When I asked if they can return my money. They replied saying no. Excuse me? I have to wait for the food that I paid for? Is it my fault that your driver didn’t deliver my order and marked it as delivered? My food never arrived, are they just trying to rob me? They even said they are going to email me with the chat and case reference but never got it, but after asking them several times for it and after mentioning that I contacted the restaurant and yes I really contacted the restaurant they told me they don’t have drivers contact and I will be only able to get help from just eat. Just eat finally sent me email confirmation with my case reference (the subject was late order when the food never arrived). I was hungry, starving waiting for the food and this is all they said. I have right to get my full refund back as this was not my fault. I am really dissatisfied with just eat app. I would have rated the app with 0 stars but it doesn’t let me.

We as a customers we never have a say beside of waiting and getting an email back with “Kind regards, but we can’t refund you but leave a review to the restaurant” … is not helpful at all and the majority of the times they are not even bothering to send an email back after you place a complaint.. just an extremely poorly service for the money we pay for delivery fees…. I’m asking the people now … how many times they never had money back or food replacement as other companies…. Is not our fault you don’t cover everything and we can understand but at least give us for the bear minimum as other delivery partners some proper help….. I know the phrase “customer is always right” but is not and I’m working in this kind of retail…. But when we are right we don’t have not even 1% satisfaction to get something back and you all aware how bad thing can go sometimes.. you know how to pay drivers for extra waiting for food in different businesses you collaborating but for customers is dog sh.. hope you’ve learned something for me and I’m sure this post will not even be approved. But please whoever reads this help us out when you know you’re not great at all….

***The positive reviews contain many reviews for restaurants and not JE*** Go with Uber Eats instead or even Deliveroo. The Just Eat app is shockingly bad. For example, I placed an order and paid for that order. The app then gives me an upper and lower limit on delivery time. Then 59 minutes AFTER the latest possible delivery time, the application tells me that they’re still waiting for a driver and the restaurant hasn’t started preparing the order. Obviously in the ‘real world’ those two assertions can’t be simultaneously true. It gets worse tho - then six minutes after those 59 minutes past the latest possible delivery time. The app tells me the order has been delivered. Of course it’s not reasonably possible and had not, but their inept system has maybe registered a time out on the order and defaulted its status to complete. So two hours after I started this nonsense ordeal, I ordered the same thing from Uber Eats. 25 minutes later it arrives, bang on time and in exact synchronisation with what the application is telling me. I’m now eating my food from Uber Eats as I wait for my JE refund, having just deleted the app for good :)

The app works really well and is easy to use with everything you need. Totally put off of using just eats app again when I ordered food at 10:15am and by 11:15am I still hadn’t received anything but got a call from the driver telling me he had gone to the wrong house. He asked for my address which I told him and also text to him, he told me he would be right with me within the next 10mins. 30mins went by and still nothing. The tracker for the driver had stopped, the delivery was marked as delivered but I still hadn’t received my food. I decided to call the restaurant and question the issue, they told me I’d have to cal Just Eat themselves and make a complaint. After 15 mins of trying to get through I was simply told that my complaint had been logged, it will be sent to an investigation team and I will receive an email about an update to my complaint within the next 48 but in the meantime there’s nothing they can do. So I waited a week for an email and nothing. I called just eat and they said they can’t do anything but speak to the restaurant and I will have to wait for another email from their investigation team. I’ve been waiting 2 days for this email and still nothing. Money down the drain and wasted time!!

I really can’t understand why I still use just eat for deliveries. Sometimes they can be quick but they regularly lure you in with promises of 20-40 minute delivery and turn up after an hour or an hour and a half. You go through the help section, wait in a 40 person queue and have to explain what’s wrong with your order number, then they tell you you’re not in the right department even though it’s a hello text thing through the app. They then put you through an 80 person queue (not exaggerating, this was the worst experience), then when you get in the top 10 the food arrives an hour and a half late. They do give you £5 to spend at a later date to be fair to them but they really are consistent with poor time keeping and not by 5 minutes, the app will tell you the driver is in the restaurant for 40 minutes or much longer and I just can’t fathom why I have to be so lazy and keep using them. I wouldn’t mind if it was a one off but it’s happened 3 times out of about 7 or 8 with such severe lateness. The last time I couldn’t be bothered to complain.

Placed an order at 7.24 as I have done lots of times before. Half an hour and no driver has been assigned, this isn’t the first time this has happened so I wait a bit longer. An hour later I’m still waiting for a driver to be assigned. So I contact live chat and ask them to cancel my order which as of yet has not even been made. They ask me to wait 10-15 minutes and I say no. Cancel the order. The lady on live chat declines this (btw there were 500 people waiting in the live chat queue). She proceeds to tell me I can cancel the order myself on the app. You absolutely can’t. Had this first conversation led to a cancellation on the order I would have been fine. I tried live chat again 15 minutes later as I’m still waiting for driver. Ask them to cancel the order as I already have food now and charge me if you’d like, at this point I just don’t care I don’t want a driver turning up at 10pm. To her credit she cancelled my order. This is now 2 hours after I placed the order. Just eat I don’t want your £5 credit. I want to have food delivered in a reasonable amount of time. If you can’t do this, don’t take the order and then certainly don’t make the cancellation process so difficult. I will use other food delivery companies from now on and I advise you do the same.

I am a highly loyal customer and when I get treated fairly, I have to say it. The most important is the customer service, Just Eat is so far the best on it. Not only good prices but also when I have a problem with my order it is very easy to find the chat in the application and I get served almost instantly. I love it.
Unlike other services - specially ub**eats - where the discounts are not applied, the service charges are high and it’s impossible to find the customer service chat and or phone number and when you finally find it they reply to you after hours. Minutes if you are too lucky. It’s like I have to suffer before I eat and that’s not fair, I don’t wanna get stressed out about my order before eating! This is why I always go back to Just Eat. The only reason why I use any other apps it’s because certain restaurants that I like are there, otherwise I would only use Just Eat.

I think Greggs should terminate their contract with JustEat because each time I’ve ordered from there using JustEat app, my food’s gone missing. This is far from a one off it’s happened multiple times, to the point where I no longer order from Greggs anymore. Trying to get this rectified through JustEat is a waste of time! When I’ve pointed out that it’s because 3rd party delivery company has wrong address recorded, they seem unable or unwilling to get this simple error sorted. The process customers are forced to use for straightforward refund is protracted & unnecessarily long winded. Then because JustEat do not solve the underlying problem, you just end up going around in circles having same issue over & over. There is a lack of communication & co-ordination between JustEat & their delivery contractors which renders their customer service as sub par & means that customers do not get their refunds in a timely or satisfactory fashion. Just Eat U need to do better!!

Just eat is the worst company I have ever worked with because they took nearly enough %20 of your money even so they %15 from the beginning, if you want help with something like need some changing in the menu then you have to sort it thro an email necythey don’t have a number to to sort a problems and that takes months to be sorted and not properly also people orders from just eat and pay for there meals then after they had their meal asking for refund and guess what ? Just eat gives them the money back without even asking the restaurant apart from they sent an email to let you know that they have gave money back to the customer but if the restaurant asks for money back under any circumstances then they say no or give you %50 back ,and there’s so many more other problems with Justeat if I writ down then it well be a lot more to read but my advice to you all is don’t have just eat to work with you in anyway because they just steal your money

I’m not the only one here but this was the 4 time I’ve ordered from just eat having ordered many times from Uber eats without an issue. Well I will be sticking with Uber! Ordered a McDonald’s at 6:20 and waited an hour before becoming concerned. The timing kept getting knocked back and I accepted it until 8:20 when I knew enough was enough. I then proceeded to spend 2 hours trying to use their help services which you can only do by chatting to someone. Wasn’t till 4 hours later someone cancelled my order, what was the problem “the driver could change the tagging” whatever that meant. This means food has possibly went to waste and I was also left without an order. The driver couldn’t simply cancel the order as another driver would be allocated, apparently this was trying to happen 4 hours later, yeah right. Why isnt this system better, surely it should be fool proof for allocating drivers and them delivering it to you, as well as the system being able to spot orders that have took way too long and fix an error automatically. Too busy spending money on constant snoop dog ads instead of improving their systems so people get their orders.

Utterly useless. Regularly.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The last 4 deliveries, from different restaurants, have been either wrong, missing items, or both. We contacted Just Eat every time, wanting our deliveries corrected (the missing food delivered) and they refused. They refunded the missing items and as we had to drive to the restaurants each time to pick up the missing dinners anyway, we asked them to refund the delivery charge. They flatly refused. Their best offer was £2 credit to our account, which meant we were always still out of pocket for the petrol we’d used. The first 3 times we agreed and once we were off the phone, they never ever did the credits. Ever. My husband has spent over a working day in total over the course of NUMEROUS phone calls to them about this as the 4th time it became a point of principle, and spoke to God knows how many “managers” who all talked the exact same script at him about how it was physically impossible on their system to refund it, which it blatantly isn’t. They lie and they steal your money for not doing the ONLY job they’re paid to do - deliver what you ordered to save you collecting it. Utterly dreadful and I hope someone actually takes them to court for this because I can only imagine the money they are making by avoiding returning people’s money fraudulently.

The app itself works very well, it is smooth and easy to use, the customer experience you get with justeat themselves however is abysmal, and just recently it seems to be having more issues than a little with orders being severely delayed even when ordered well in advance for a specific time, when you have an issue with the order there is no direct way of making a complaint to justeat, as this is a long and complicated process just to speak to somebody, then when you do get through to a “human” the answers you receive are heavily scripted and almost copied and pasted, the main issue I have had with justeat is that the customer service agents just seem to pass the book when it comes to dealing with a customer complaint, to the point where you get fed up of dealing with it..... and there is no physical phone number to ring as all that does is redirect you to an answer machine that tells you to check the website.... also don’t expect a refund if your order doesn’t turn up as I’ve spent multiple weeks chasing a refund for an order that was not delivered to myself and been given empty promises of an investigation/ refund “within 48hrs” only to hear nothing from the supposed “investigations team” they just seem to be interested in getting as much money as they can without caring about the customers who PAY to use their service....

I ordered a kfc from bushbury lane which the driver never turned up with. Have used this app many many times so no excuse for not knowing where the address is. We then watched the driver stay on a road around the corner with our order for over 20 mins on the map. At this point I wasn’t accepting the cold ruined food so contacted customer service to cancel and get a full refund. They preceded to argue with me only saying I can get 50% back (utterly unacceptable) basically telling me I’m lieing and the driver has tried ringing 7 times(which they never) only when I explained there are cameras up at the property and threatening to report the company for theft and fraud did I start getting anywhere. A supervisor did not get back in touch as promised twice and I again had to chase this up to be told by another member of staff I’m getting a full refund because they am in a good mood. This is so unacceptable as a person and staff member treating customers. I have used juts eat for many years and regularly. I will now rather pay double the delivery fee on Uber then ever use this app or company again. As far as I’m concerned they have tried to scam and fraud a loyal long term customer and will never use them again

1st time all smooth. 2nd time ordering was Friday night, ordered 19:40pm, food arrival time set for 20:30. At 20:45 chatted with a robot indicating me that restaurant added 5minutes more to finish order. A few minutes later chatted with a real person and told me food it’s late and will arrive for sure in 15-20minutes (at this point that person from JustEat knew there was never driver assigned, I guess they just wanted to get rid of me). At this point my app view said Driver assigned. At 21:10 restaurant called me indicating that food have been sitting for 30 minutes and driver never came to pick it up. They said they called JustEat and told them about it and JustEat apparently told them that they can’t garante that a driver can go and pick up the food. In the meantime, I was waiting for the food. Restaurant told JustEat that they could remake the food if they send a driver but JustEat told them they couldn’t guarantee that. Again I try to chat over the late order, got to chat with a Robot again, indicating again that restaurant added 5 min to the order, clearly Robot isn’t functional and is stupid to make ppl think is AI robot, anyway.
This just clearly indicates how JustEat whole process runs behind from their side. I guess I learnt from this and won’t use them anymore. Of course, after I have to spend time calling them to cancel myself the order and get a refund that I’m still waiting for...

Not great at handling mistakes with the order

I ordered food to the wrong address, yes that was my mistake although its very easy to miss the address as the text is quite small and its like 2 taps to complete the delivery which i suppose is good but maybe it would be good to have bigger address text on the confirmation screen
Anyway, so i ordered the wrong address so i straight away looked in the app to see if i could change the delivery address.. the app said i had to ring the restaurant. So i rang the restaurant and they said they aren't allowed to change the address and i would have to do it through just eat! I asked if they were sure and they checked and said theyve asked just eat drivers before they dont accept address changes unless its changed through the app. So now i open up a chat with a robot in the just eat app who transfers me to a human. I talked to a human but the humans replies were very slow and robot like, and im in a hurry now because my food might get delivered to the wrong address! The dude asks me some security questions which apprently were incorrect but he wouldnt tell me which details were incorrect so didnt know what else he wanted to know!!!! The chat ended so i opened up a new chat, this new person said i cant change the address!!! So i had to do a cancellation but only got a refund of 50%?!? I will update my review if anything changes.....

I chose YouRice for a family takeaway because it came at the top of the selection of local Chinese takeaways on JustEat, due to their 'reviews'. Huge mistake!! I should have taken time to read through the reviews elsewhere on other websites and would have seen just how awful the restaurant is. Food arrived half an hour after the expected delivery time; it was stone cold; the portions for the main meals came in smaller-than-normal sized containers and were barely half full; tasteless and a complete waste of £50. A lot of it went straight in the bin. The restaurant don't answer their phone. JustEat washed their hands of the problem, with various excuses, finally saying the restaurant wouldn't approve a refund so hard luck. They then terminated the online chat abruptly. Really not sure of the benefit to the customer of using JustEat - pretty pointless as they deny responsibility for poor service. I will make sure that I don't use JustEat again. My one-star ratings apply to both the restaurant and JustEat. Not many people can afford to waste £50 at the moment, but there will be many businesses seeking to profit from the current social restrictions and limitations and this is certainly an example of just that.

Ordered on 03/04 and waited until midnight but didn’t receive any food and couldn’t get a hold of the restaurant at all, it was marked as delivered when the restaurant closed and delivery time changed to the initial estimate. Managed to speak to Just eat the next day and was told they would sort the refund on this occasion as I had been trying to get hold of the restaurant and was impossible. I waited a week and no refund. Contacted them again and they told me there was nothing they could do as the restaurant had to authorise the refund. I managed to contact the restaurant on 09/04 and they said their manager would call me back. No call back so I spoke to him on 10/04 and he said he had contacted Just Eat and I would get my refund within 5 days. I left it a little longer due to the bank holidays and no refund still. I have contacted just eat tonight and they said they have had no contact from the restaurant. The first person I spoke to said she tried to call them but there was no answer. She said for me to try and get them to contact just eat directly or deal with them directly. I got through to them within the first few rings and they are refusing to refund me as they say all they can do is replace my order and email just eat. I then went back to just eat to ask them to call the restaurant again and the people I spoke to refused and said I had to get the refund direct from the restaurant. No help at all!!!

Don’t trust their * ratings

You deliberately mislead customers with the * ratings with the restaurants, to ensure that you don’t discourage people to order. When you delve deeper in the 6* reviews (strange to have an even number for a star system which kind of proves my point) there are so so many bad reviews for food establishments and they should not have such high ratings. I’ve made the mistake so many times ordering with Just Eat. I trust that a 4.5* place will be good but constantly the food which arrives in absolutely terrible and very expensive!!! I then look at written reviews and there are so many complains for the places I order from. Granted maybe I should look at the reviews in more depth, but they are certainly misleading with their * ratings. The fact that nearly every place is 4* is also pretty suspect. You are clearly focused on quantity of orders as opposed to the quality of orders and it’s only matter of time before you eventually destroy your reputation. I will never order through you guys again!

I have used just eat for a while now , and get at least twice a week a take away of different types Indian ,Chinese ,pizza ,kebabs , and over the last 9 weeks while working back shift at least 3 times a week and have been disappointed by the service of some of the restaurants, You get a estimated delivery time sent by text and email and sometimes can be 30-40 mins later after the said time one last week was over an hour and the food was Luke warm , then you get items missing off the order after waiting for so long , also in the comments box you can leave details of delivery address and mobile number to call on arrival and still it can go wrong on many occasions , I called a pizza place last night after it was 45 mins late and items missing and was told I would get the manager to call me back still waiting ?
It seems there is no consistency or loyalty for the amount of orders I make each week , let’s to say I’m a little bit disappointed and currently looking at another similar website or maybe just call direct from now on .

We have used just eat a lot which goes fine until you have an issue with the service! Last night we ordered at 5:20 and it said 1 hour 10 minutes wait for delivery-fine it’s Friday it takes awhile, it didn’t show up, after 5 calls to the restaurant - just eat chat bot said 124 people were waiting to talk to someone- we still had no food we asked repeatedly to cancel and the restaurant said they can’t and we had to get just eat to cancel, when we eventually got hold of just eat after waiting for 20 minutes to get through - to a foreign call centre! just eat then said that the order was complete and so the restaurant had to call them to cancel and apparently no other solution can be done! At 20:30 at night we drove to the restaurant and waited while the restaurant guy then agreed to call them to cancel it - why he didn’t do it to begin with it! He also admitted at the restaurant that he was not actually preparing the food at the listed restaurant but it was coming from another restaurant which he has an agreement with because they had bad reviews and can no longer use just eat! In all Just Eat is completely useless if you are not happy with the food/service or delivery they just take your money and their cut and do none of the work! We won’t be using them again!

I didn’t receive my food last night. After two hours of waiting I called just eat for an update but I just listened to hold music for 15 minutes before putting the phone down. I then called the restaurant who said they had dishes that had been prepared but no one from just eat had been in to collect them and they were closing up.
I got in touch with just eat through the app the next morning as just eat hadn’t been in touch to confirm the order had been cancelled or refunded etc.
They refunded my meal which was the minimum I would expect. I rarely ask for discounts but the service from just eat had been so poor that I decided they should have at least offered something. When I asked if they would give me a discount on my next delivery, I was given a flat no. They were not willing to give me even 5% off my next meal and the tone they used was dismissive. For a company as large as this it seemed incredibly petty and the whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Omg ! This app has started to become a nightmare,,started with certain options not being able to be ordered because of glitches but more recently I can't add pizza because it doesn't let u just select it keeps asking for extra toppings and even if you give up and add them the whole thing crashes/kebabs similar issues with extras ! Just crashes! The whole point in the app is convenience because it's dearer than ordering directly by usually £1-2 then added charge for app so if experience issues so annoying as you might as well order from store and save money !!! Please sort the app out as used to be quite handy but the last year has been crap ! Plus reviews is no longer working so can't see what people are saying unless you use website!!!! I like to see what previous customers saying so if having a bad run I can avoid!!!! Get shops menus correct as noticed certain pizza toppings not available on app for atayla cf32 but they are!!!!?! Or either get stores to check their link or get your people on checking current menus!!! I will have to avoid until you have sorted this as currently I can't order kebabs pizza or meal deals as crashes or won't let you add and considering had a update yesterday I'm. It impressed

Ordered a meal and was over an hour late. They blamed just eat, just eat blamed the restaurant. Finally got a refund, apparently just eat can’t do that they give vouchers. So used them and kind of forgot about late meal. Then ordered a third meal from a restaurant five minutes walk from my house. Ten minutes after the 45 minute delivery time I called the restaurant and they said the driver was there and food was going in his hand, and then the delivery time changed. 20 minutes later my house mate saw the delivery driver walking away from the building. He’d gone to the rear entrance, hadn’t knocked, and was walking away. I confronted him and he said he’d tried ringing, but I showed him my phone and he got abusive a then tried ringing me. My phone rang and I pointed out it was my first call. I called the restaurant to complain and was told driver left as soon as my call ended so he drive around for 20 minutes, didn’t try to contact me and then got abusive when I caught him out. Restaurant was very nice saying they are governed by just eat and were considering leaving them as they mess up all the time. They said just eat changed delivery time to make sure that they didn’t fail that. Customer service was none existent from just eat but great from the restaurant. Just eat don’t give a toss, they won’t refund money they just give vouchers. They will always mess up cause they’ll never lose money.

Good enough app, I’ve been using but for years for our weekly takeaway. Only had a problem when the app was first launched but smooth running ever since so I would’ve have given it 5 stars but it could be so much better.
It takes a very long time for me to place an order because I usually have to order for a vegetarian celiac AND I want to order from somewhere with a good government hygiene rating. If I walk into a place and it looks dirty or has a poor rating I walk straight back out. I care about that online too. I have the following suggestions just off the top of my head, I’m sure there’s plenty of other improvements they could make.
1) They should enforce all restaurants to state allergens under on the items ie JustEat could easily device a coding system and get the restaurant to add these to their menus. Some restaurants do include this information and it makes things so much easier.
2) They should clearly display the up to date hygiene rating not just add a link to the .gov website, where you need to type in the name of the restaurant. This is supposed to be a mobile app after all!
