Amazing App

I love this detailed tracking of sharks and turtles!

I have favourite Sharks I like to follow and am happy to see them ping!

Details on the maps are great I often find myself zooming in on locations I’d never heard of!

Awesome job ocearch you guys do a fantastic job!

This app is not operational. I’ve reloaded it and reloaded it and it displays a message similar to: “cannot connect to the server”

There is no recent tracking history available, so I guess it is no longer updated / used. Shame as this used to be a great app.

Good but....

Guys I love this app don't get me wrong! It's amazing being able to see all the sharks and where they are but....

Before we could see the profiles of the shark and even learn more about them and how we can't!

I really hope youse get this sorted guys because it's the best feature of this app!

I love this app I've had it for ages now but just downloaded it on my iPad and I can no longer scroll down the shark profiles to see age etc. :(

Katherine is lethal, partying in the gulf by day, back in NY by night. Off the rails. Would be great if on the iPad I could scroll down on their profiles, feel I'm missing critical shark info. Go dorsal fins

I can't seem to get the map to load. I can see the sharks' journeys but it's just on grey boxes which is super disappointing :(

I too am here because of the tumblr post but am mildly disappointed because none of the sharks have had any pings since December... Are they all dead or have they all taken out their trackers or do sharks hibernate or something? I need answers and I need to know what Pablo was looking for

Global Shark Tracker App

This was my favourite app until the upgrade made it unusable as it now crashes every time you try to use it! Fix it please!

Shark tracker needs some work!

The whole app needs a lot of work, but the main problem is the app crashing when you tap on a shark. Once the app is running correctly, this will be quite a fun app I think.

Initially I was impressed by the ability for me to view instantly the whereabouts of several sharks across the world at any point on my phone

However, after a little bit of background reading it is quickly clear that Ocearch has some serious questions to answer about their methods of tagging and more importantly their underlying motives for this activity.

Scientist does not equal Conservationist.

Scientist is not the same as a researcher.

Shark tracking has been going on for over a decade, so little here is new to the world of science...so then, how does this benefit the sharks?

What will happen to the data Ocearch is collecting on the sharks?

There are less invasive measures to retrieve the same data (eg PAT tags), causing less damage to the sharks. How many sharks have Ocearch (or their previous company) killed over the past 7 years?
