I used the app to record my grandparents when they were alive. Now I’m trying to access the calls many no longer work, although they did before. I have tried contacting TapeACall multiple times but there is never a response. Terrible. I just want to access my calls.

Having bought the app, a 6 digit code is sent out. However only 5 digits are allowed on the verification section. Rendering this useless even before you start! Can’t even get past that. Any help would be greatful!

Good at what it does BUT… it’s a inconvenience to record before or during a call it’s not automatic you have to merge calls while you are in the phone. In my opinion it’s backwards I paid for the year subscription try the trial first.

I run a Vetrans retreat. I payed a full year for this app. As I needed to cover my back with the land owners who’s land I’m running my retreat on. Every time they called I tried to record the call but this app wouldn’t let me. It just doesn’t work. I followed the instructions to the T. Snd still it didn’t work snd when I reported it they never got back to me. Don’t!!

Get this app. It’s a waist of time and money and has cost me 10’s of thousands in court cost and having to relocate my veterans retreat.

I bought this about two months ago and have tried several test recordings but none have been saved. The function to merge calls never works either. Provide a fix please and options to get a service for the monies paid for this product.

Awful for iPhones. It beeps all the time when you try to record, then it puts your caller on hold whilst you dial in to another number, then you have to merge calls if your merge button works. Mine didn’t. A frustrating waste of time and money, only bought this morning and I hope I can get a refund at least.

Absolutely no where does this state that it doesn’t work on all networks. Beware do not download if you are on networks such as giffgaff as it will not work!!!!!

Fantastic piece of kit. It is brilliantly easy to use. However be sure to contact your mobile carrier and ask them to enable 3-way conferencing calling otherwise the merge feature will not work. Recommendable and efficient.

Sometimes it works, recently not. Trying to get technical support is a nightmare. All you get is a robot response.

Tried it when it was going cheaper. It’s not working at all yet. It may be that I will have to get my call provider to activate 3-way conference calls but their site seems to suggest it is already active.

documented you are locked and armed - leave nothing to chance / from landlords harassment to domestic issues. It’s a win if you need to take action and need evidence to support your claim or application for orders through courts. Easy to use and your recordings are kept safe. I’ve had the software app installed on numerous phones and my archive have supported me through crises and hell - would have hanging from the ropes without it many odd times - saved by tape a call 🎁❤️❤️ more.

Haven’t thought of creative ways to use yet but maybe I’ll try to record the sosial distancing exercises between me and my lover (s) 🥶😝. Ps! Always seek consent and always follow the Law and keep best possible council. Especially when your libido is Viking decent / a pathology I can’t find any evidence that have given me any thing but PLEASURE hehe ;)

Was told this was a good app to buy - but it does not work on iPhone 12 Pro - so if you have this phone don’t buy this app. Now trying to get my money back

Sadly will not work!!! Just cannot activate the merge feature - the critical one! NOT just a flick of a switch. I think it’s more the legal situation than anything. Spoke to 2 kind EE reps - stopped calling it ‘call merging’ sometime ago. It’s now called ‘Group Calling’ but seems that it is not applicable to this or any other call recording app. Wow what a frustrating experience. I have just paid £20 for the year - bye, I’m off to retrieve me cash.

Very useful as I have the memory of a goldfish! Replaying the call, allows me to remember the details of important information.

I won't go elsewhere to record important calls. Very easy to record, replay and there is even a transcription service (additional app) should someone need of.

Nice recording app

Very good app. I was using it wrong initially, but as soon as I figured it out - wow - works great. It’s a bit of a pain having to switch apps - call another number - merge calls etc.. All while the recipient of the call is waiting, but apart from that, it works great!

What a waste of money support useless

This was a complete waste of money. You are required to enter your phone number when you start the app, but my country code is not on the list - so I can’t open the app.

Application does not work for me at all. I tap merge, the person on the other side hears a hold tone, then when the call ends all I hear in the recording is static.

I have tried using this in the UK on my iPhone. The access number rings but does nothing. Tried adding in call. Nothing. Contacted support. Nothing. I’ve wasted my money, only paid for one month. Will put it down to experience.

Considering I paid for the pro version this cuts me off every five minutes. I am trying to record 20-30 minute calls with customers which just makes the whole experience very disappointing and disjointed.

I used to have an app that automatically recorded calls. This TapeACall is totally useless.

You have to ‘try’ to set it up for each call, by carrying through a set of processes. I tried it and it keeps requesting me to call the same London number first! Bizarre. So I tried and then was able to make a second simultaneous call to a friend, so had 2 lines open.

Even then it did not record. £11 quid down the drain, and now I’ve got problems trying to cancel the recurring subscription!!

MASSIVE BUGS IN THIS APP, DON’T BOTHER WITH IT, PLENTY OF OTHERS AROUND. LOOKS LIKE ITS GOING DOWN THE PAN.

If you want to play back beeping than this is the app for you. Trailed it several times over the course of a week with the consistent bad results. It didn’t record one call.

Apple make something obvious a right pain in the bum, but this app works well and I use it for important calls.

A 3h call properly set up was completely lost and no case specific reply was obtained by support. Do not use.

Previously had full access for Pro, now I’m being asked to subscribe monthly. I will be asking for a refund.

Pretty good product. Simple, clear interface. When it works, great. It seems to not like certain numbers and will drop them consistently. Nothing you can do about it. Don’t know whether to blame the number or the app.

I paid £10.99 for this app and needed a text code to initiate the app. I couldn’t get a text. Nowhere to complain. So I lost my money

Downloaded and paid for this a couple of years ago when I was working as a journalist. Just went to use it again and they now want a monthly subscription to restore my service and access all the interviews I previously recorded. How developers can get away with this is beyond me.

Subscription apparently expired, and once that happens you can’t listen to your recordings or do anything. No warning that subscription was about to expire. When you eventually find a way of contacting someone that’s not an automated bot, they don’t resolve the issue.... they just tell you to subscribe. And they keep saying “Have an awesome day”. Don’t say that when you keep saying no to someone... Wouldn’t recommend.

This is the worst app I have ever used yet alone bought. After spending over £10 on the app - I tried using it for a very important interview -baring in mind that I had tested it 10 times prior. Having carried out the 40 minute interview I played back the interview and all I could hear was a hissing noise, luckily I took notes ( a valuable piece of advice if you end up a victim of Tape a call)

I got this app to record interviews for my masters dissertation and it was a complete disaster. I started with tape a call lite and it kept dropping my calls mid-interview, so I upgraded thinking the pro version would be better. And indeed, pro doesn’t drop my calls it just stops recording mid-call without giving any indication that it’s done so. I lost KEY data because of this app. It was a complete waste of time and money.

The app records my voice when I haw not merged calls but as soon as they get merged, nothing is recorded....

Bought this app because on a review online it said it was the best app. Made 10 phone calls and it didn’t work once. When you hit the call merge button it doesn’t highlight. What a waste of money. I will be looking for a refund 😡

Recording Doesnt work from download: The app intially worked fine for me. I used to download my office calls and then listen to them when I didnt had network connectivity. But since past many days I am not able to access the recordings even after recordings are so called downloaded on the device. Clearly the Apps Developers have introduced a flaw in the App. This has killed the App for me especially when you cannot access your own recording when downloaded on your own device (unless you have internet connection). This also means - if you are listening to the same recording multiple times.. you are using streaming the same recording again...

May be the App developer needs to think more about the userbase before messing around with the app.

I contacted Technical Support and they are hopeless too. They kept repeating T&C like a parrot.

Sadly, the app has become unusable. Calls drop constantly. There is really no point. I tried to use it today. I got cutoff. A few years ago. It use to be great. Not any more.

They have both a lite and paid version of this app. After paying for the paid version of the app I thought I now had lifetime access to this service, however now after a few months they have decided to start charging customers £17 a year to use the service, despicable! I also have no way to access previous recordings without now paying a monthly or annual charge, and they never even warned customers that they were going to switch to a subscription based service. I I had known this was the case I would have downloaded all recordings and deleted the app immediately!!

Don’t understand how anyone can love this clunky, expensive and shabby app. It’s main purpose seems to be to generate subscriptions to keep you paying more. It is a horrible process to use. Zero stars whatsoever.

Have used this app for a few years but will not be continuing with it. In the past 4 months or so I've had problems with the quality of the audio recording - sometimes it only records on one channel, other times the quality is noticeably poor. I've also had a few calls go missing. Alas a once reliable app has become unreliable and - if you really need to rely on the service as I do - it has become a difficult app to recommend.

When using this app you cannot navigate phone menu systems that require you to press a number. And a lot of organisations use these. For example my bank & council. I have contacted the developers of this app twice about the problem but on both occasions they have not even responded.

So faulty software and non-existent support.

I’ve given this one star because I have to but it doesn’t deserve any. I bought this to tape an important interview but it never worked. Not even once. Then a year later they’re still debiting my account for the subscription. Stay away. Rip-off merchants.

It dosen't do what is says on the tin. It didn't record an important call I needed to record and bought the app for. Merging calls didn't work. My call didn't get recorded. After buying the app I was also forced into buying a subscription after opening the app - what kind of model is this? I already bought the app and got charged extra on top for a subscription that automatically renews. Horrible customer experience and a dodgy app.

Downloaded the lite version to check it all worked, and it did. Paid for the pro and recorded a conversation for a podcast and the audio is not only pretty low quality (could have been the line) but when listened to on headphones it’s only recorded to the left ear meaning it’s unusable for me. Tried to look through settings but no details about that.

I used this pro app to record the conversation with an insurance company. It worked perfectly first time.

You must speak to your service provider first and get them to activate merge calls. Some customer service people confuse merge calls with conference calls but they are two different facilities. Make sure they understand it’s for merge calls.

Activation happened instantly. I’ve only used it once but all good so far.

Luck of information! Description of call recording is misleading! You have to make a conference call to start a recording! I don’t mind to pay 12 quids to some tossers as long as they will attempt to earn this money in proper way. Not in this case, unfortunately!

You have to first make a call to somewhere else and then if you’re lucky to go through, dial the number you’d like to record conversation with and then merge it... 9 out of 10 times it doesn’t work! I’d like to get a refund!! Overpriced rubbish this is!

Use this app ALOT and it's never let me down. Good quality recordings and the option to upload to a variety of cloud locations. Can't fault it.

This app is definitely worth the money!!

It has gotten me out of some very sticky situations by recording calls.

It records voice from both ends, has no time limit on the pro version and is a valuable tool to have 👍🏻

Seems to work well. Make sure your call carrier has enabled 3 way calling. You'll need this switch on your account so you can merge calls.
