Updates Needed Desperately
Can’t log on. Can’t keep record of tickets purchased ahead. Really dull and poor. Just like the main website.

How am I meant to plan?!
Every time I add a journey to my trip and then go to view it it isn’t there???
It worked on my old phone but doesn’t seem to work now.

Don’t bother
Honestly , don’t bother. It’s a crap app and a crap service anyway. You can’t book reservations through this app, it takes you to crappy websites that are not even optimised for mobile use so absolutely no point in using this. Little point in buying the pass too. Unless you book reservations at least a month in advance you can’t even get on the most popular trains. You’re better off flying.

Helpful - but minor issues
This app has been super helpful so far!! Helping us on our interrail trip thats for sure!! Really like how you can map where you’ve been too! However, few issues - if you’re in italy(theres a few other places but i’m focused in Italy atm) make sure you go on the seat reservations part - there are free, non reservation trains with regional.. this would probably help more if this was included on the actual planner. Also through this, not sure if its a fault or it doesn’t work but when you’re trying to see the trains in Italy you can only see trains for 2 hours ahead... not ideal if you’ve forgotten the time or missed a train! (Not sure if this is a rail planner issue or what)
All in all. I would recommend this app to anyone! :)

An app that has gone from V. Good to V. Bad
I’n a regular purchaser of Interrail tickets and use the app when I’m travelling. Recently took a trip and used the new app. Found that the changes has removed all of the most useful features for me. On the old version, it was possible to search departures by station. This feature has been removed. Another feature it previously had was the ability to click on a train to pull up the full schedule from origin to destination. Now, this is no longer possible and you can only search for trains between two points, it isn’t possible to see where a particular train has started from. Please, please, bring the old version back!

Do not install. Still no station lineup
So they have updated the app??? Nope. Still not listening to the feedback. Still no station line up. I urge you not to update or download this app. There are better apps out there. Ones who developers actually listen to.

No longer worth it...
This version has gone more backwards than the previous ones. You have removed the station line up, the most useful feature of the app, you used to be able to see all the trains and decide where you could go from there! Now you have to know where you want to get to, you have reduced the app to a bog standard journey planner and removed everything that made this app better than the rest....

Completely ruined by the last update.
You can no longer see intermediate station times, and you can no longer see the entire journey of the train service you are travelling on. The former is essential for monitoring delays and connections, and the latter essential for planning efficient itineraries. This app was brilliant, but is now useless. Is there any way of getting the old one back, even for a few weeks to get through my current trip? The DB website does what is required, but with high data usage and low speed. Congratulations on making this app much more complicated to use and much less useful.

Missing Timetable
The new features are pretty good but the one thing you’ve removed which I’m pretty upset about & that’s the Timetable (ok I can use the DB App but that uses data abroad) because it was useful to me for day trips when using the continuous pass on where I could go at the last minute.... Fingers crossed it returns in future updates

Downgraded
The new update of this app makes it far less useful than previous versions. Gone is the ability to view intermediate station times and the next departures from intermediate stations. This was a really useful feature when you had no clear plan for a days travelling and could help you to decide to stop off/visit somewhere else off the cuff.

Lost features
I must be missing something obvious but since the recent update there’s no option to view station departures or arrivals anymore and when you enter in your journey plan, you get your train options but if you go in to one journey the stops on route no longer have times against them so if you’re in a country you don’t know, that was a handy way of telling if you’re on time or not. Please correct me if I’m wrong but having had a play around with the new app I can’t find them.

Rubbish update into an all new combined inter/EU rail app full of notifications and questions.
Please at least give an option to keep the much better and simpler old version.

It’s very good. But.......
It’s a very good train planner app. But there are some trains missing from the timetable. This evening was the first time I’d used the app, but the first train I got this evening wasn’t listed in the app (luckily this was my “usual” train, so I knew it would be there). On the way home, I missed a train because it wasn’t listed in Rail Planner - I should have checked elsewhere first! All in all a very useful app!

Has the potential but doesn’t help in reality
It’s great for finding train times but is incredibly frustrating as it keeps resetting the date to today. I find the train I want but when I try to reserve seats, those trains don’t seem to exist! Fortunately I’ve got plenty of time before my trip but all my accommodation is booked and I desperately want to know which trains I am travelling on.

The worst app
This is the worst app I have ever used. It made me believe trains no longer exist and the only way to get from city to city was by foot. It made me believe Europe was unnavigable, little did I know this was actually the app. Don’t use this app; it is garbage. Do reservations on the website.

Confusing
I understand the private rail companies which the interrail pass is valid for. But for goodness sake, I have no idea what train FT 200 is or whether it’s valid with the pass. Surely it would make more sense just to listen the bloody trains that you can get on, or ONLY show the trains which are valid with the pass!!!
I don’t care about the other trains if my pass isn’t valid. The trip planner clearly needs to be changed or a list of every single train, not the private train company because I don’t know which trains run under those companies!!!

Rubbish
Terrible for seat reservations, very frustrating when you are abroad and trying to be flexible by booking the day before you travel. Good for travel planning and knowing when to go on trains without reservations but to reserve is a nightmare. Even their website has had lots of issues. Had to book through Italia rail in he end and pay the service fee of £3 but would have saved myself 2 hours of my life if I’d gone there in the first place!

Not a great start
I haven’t started my trip yet, but I am trying to make my seat reservations to reserve my place on the train. The app crashes as soon as I try to change the number of travellers. Very frustrating!!

Angry and disappointed
We used this app while interrailing and have found our selves stranded in Austria with hostels booked in Croatia all because this app gives false information! It is appalling, my trip has well and Truely been ruined because of it!!!

Thought it was a great app
I used this for the first half of interrailing and thought it was very helpful but if you search for yourself online you will find so much better free trains with the pass that the app doesn't mention. This app is more for those who don't mind reserving cause a lot of free choices aren't mentioned

Essential for anyone planning a trip using a Interrail or Eurail pass
I'm halfway through a 2 month trip around Europe and I would have been so stuck without this app. It tells you what trains are available on what dates and times from point A to B. It's also really helpful for deciding where to go next as it gives you journey durations and stop off points. Would 100% recommend.

Disappointed Brexit Upgrade!
Do NOT upgrade to 4.4.16 if you are travelling to the UK or live in the UK!
The new upgrade has removed all UK rail stations except for London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet International and Ashford International.
If you retain version 4.4.14 you will keep all the UK rail stations with their winter timetables dated 14-DEC-16.
In the 4.4.16 upgrade there is now a link to the UK National Rail journey planner (www.nationalrail.co.uk) to access UK train times however this only works when online and is inferior to Rail Planner.
If you are a traveller on a budget then you may not have access to WiFi and being able to plan your rail. Contrary to the previous Prime Ministers promise that all trains would have free WiFI this is not the case.
Rail Planner Version 4.4.16 is a far superior product to any rail app produced in the UK and enables you to plan journeys in the UK, while off line! It will even enable you to plan trips from the UK across Europe whilst doing this all off line something that no UK rail app can do.
I am very very disappointed that this "improvement" has taken place, I realise that the UK has voted to leave the EU, however even on the www.interrail.eu website it says that Brexit will not affect the Interrail Pass.

Best timetable going
Honestly the best app I have - I constantly use this after inter-railing.
It correctly knows all the trains in Europe (and Russia) to the minute, works offline, and it updated sufficiently to know about the train line to my hometown less than 3 days after it was open. Truly amazing!!

This is a must for InterRailers as we found out last year. I always checked and double checked at stations but for outline moves, and offline, this is a must have. Tip: use the options to avoid reservation fees.

Great app but don't buy a rail pass
App is easy to use. However just use app, don't buy a pass as it works out so much cheaper to buy individually and then you don't have the hassle of inspectors telling you that you don't have the right pass. Also the problems of you lose your pass!

UNBELIEVABLE APP!!! This year I travelled solo for the first time! This app literally saved me, I would have been so lost without it! It had every single train that I needed and was always correct! Amazing & Reliable
Says it in the title to be honest - very reliable and works with little/no internet. Set it up for the relevant pass you have and you can see exact trains and remove compulsory reservations. Handy in a pinch and to plan where you're going before and on the go - an absolute must abroad.

Just the job around Europe
