Amazing tool for managing share portfolio
I have been using Portfolio Trader App for about three months, accessing it numerous times daily to manage my various portfolio. I track a number of accounts, share dealing, ISA, SIPP etc. and am impressed at the versatility and flexibility of the commands. I can interrogate the app to return any data stored quickly and easily. I was particularly impressed and grateful for the amount of support given, almost daily!, by the developer when I first began to load my portfolios - I am amazed at what good value at £19.99 pa this clever app is. I have quite a large number of holdings and am usually a day-trader, I am also in my 70’s and even I can understand it!!! I should like to see an ability to analyse my trading for Capital gains calculations at year end and perhaps create a print out of holdings. I also keep a $ dollar cash account for US trading and although I can list my US stocks in my regular portfolio using the day’s US/GPP rate I cannot track the balance in my dollar-cash account. Notwithstanding my minor criticism I wholeheartedly commend this App and its developer to any investor.

Simply the best
Simple and reliable.
Been using for 3 years as by far the best stock transaction tracking and live portfolio performance app i have tried and continues to be so.
Great for those building a portfolio across multiple accounts and wanting to track progress over time without paying a subscription fee.
Doesn’t connect direct to brokers but you can import transactions by connecting to a PC. I only do a few trades a month so imported alll my original actions and now add manually after each trade. This is a useful exercise to keep you focussed on your portfolio.
Have tried plenty of apps and this is by far the best for my needs.
Now if it had dividend forecasting for UK stocks I wouldn’t need another app (would pay a low subscription fee for that)

An excellent app with superb customer service
I’ve been using Portfolio Trader for a number of years and am delighted with the ability to consolidate my shareholdings into one database. Also, to be able to access this on my iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch. I’ve needed to email their customer services on a number of occasions. Responses have always been prompt and extremely helpful. Most recently, the service provided by Tom in setting up access to my portfolio on my watch. Thank you.

Best Portfolio Tracker By Far
I’ve been using this app since August 2017. It’s by far the best portfolio tracker out there - excellent for both UK and US stocks. It’s great on iPhone but even better on iPad as you’re able to experience all functionality much easier. Love the History tab and ability to compare performance of portfolio to any index or individual stock. To extend the app I would propose allowing the user to see total cash deposited or withdrawn over a given period on the History tab.

Just fantastic
Brilliant little app that just does what it says i.e. allows you to create and track multiply portfolios. Most other similar apps allow some form of tracking but you quickly realise that this one provides significant advantages with the ability to have multi-currencies and a lot more. Perhaps more importantly the developer is very attentive to any questions or queries and responds well. I even found a small issue and reported it and the developer responded, thanked me and fixed it in 1 day, now what other app developer does that. In summary, highly recommended - a great tools and well well worth the small price.

Great app for monitoring your portfolio
I’ve been using this app for several months now and really like it. I have multiple portfolios in different currencies and have mastered hw to make it work effectively for me. After a few teething issues, it is now all set up and I have accurate teal time information for all my portfolios.
Because it uses Yahoo as a data source some investments are not supported with real time data, but for me this is a minor distraction as there is only one investment that is currently not supported. As there are no monthly fees this is an acceptable compromise. User support has been good too.
In summary - great app. Flexible, useful and enough detail options for those that what extra info.

Brilliant app
Exactly what I was looking for, a solid way to track my portfolio in realtime, without any gimmicks, ads or monthly subscription. Also able to track my crypto portfolio too! The design isn’t the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, but the functionality is second to none once you spend 5-10 minutes learning how to set it up. Well worth the price tag.

Decent app
The app over all has some nice functionality, and the fact it is a paid app and not a data mine is the main reason I bought it.
I need to play around with it some more, but it seems well spec’d. I would like it to add dividends payments or share conversions to my portfolio automatically.
I’d also like a better tracker for potential shares. Ie the price when added to the tracker and what it is now.

Neat everyday PF monitoring app
Clear, simple and customisable interface. Plenty information for daily quick reference of multiple international port folios. I use it mostly on my phone to stay up to date whilst on the road. However the iPad version does the app more justice.

Excellent App
A previous unrelated App ceased development and so I used Bloomberg to keep track of my share portfolios. It was however very limited.
This App is brilliant and a very worthwhile purchase giving excellent value. It is not difficult to use and is being constantly improved for free.
I have some $ shares but can show them in local currency (£) in my portfolios.
General updating of prices is excellent and visibility of each share in each portfolio is good with heat maps and various gains.
Well worth the money.

Useful tool, but with some shortcomings
It is a useful all-in-one portfolio tool, and after you have entered all your trades it gives a great summary.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem able to pick up all prices - for example of unit trusts like Fundsmith Equity which is very widely owned. I have tried changing the pricing source from a Yahoo to Google, but have ended up having to do this manually. Additionally it should automatically enter dividend payments when they are paid, but does not do this. So once again I need to manually enter dividend payments when they have been made.

Just what I needed
Had this for a month or so and ended up buying the full version, as it seems to do almost everything pretty well, including providing continuously up to date prices.
My only issue so far is some of the news stories take you straight to paywalls - it would be great to have the option to exclude these.
One thing I would like to see is the stock price at a particular point on the graph when you touch it, like in the Apple iPhone/iPad app.
But overall well worth the money.

Great App,clear and concise.
I keep various “portfolios” of shares (isa’s Sipp and standard trading accounts) cash deposits on this and it gives me a great overview of Assets which is easily maintained. Also have a watchlist. Pricing of shares etc is very good,with a choice of sources-I use google finance mostly as it seems most ‘real time’ .
Reviewed several apps and websites and they often cost silly subscription money or pummel you with ads. Lots of the offerings are poor quality, not offering anything not freely available from source eg LSE or trading accounts and with “portfolio” offering not as good as this one.
Highly recommend.
Only improvement I can think of is being able to get regulatory news alerts from portfolio/watchlist but that’s just a personal convenience I would like.

After trying I think all of them out there, I found the only one that is straight to the point, it works perfectly and allows lots of personalisations. All my portfolios are now tracked, both EU and US.

Really Handy app
I use this to track my investments and watchlists. It nicely enables you to separate different investment platforms and has a total view.
The only thing i’d add, would be on the main portfolio screen, as well as options to view daily gain/equity/cash etc, I’d have a simple view of Shares within the portfolio and a volume/price/value summary.
Really good though, saves me using different apps, yahoo finance, excel sheets etc. All in one place, thanks.

App doesn’t update fund prices for UK funds - unless you don’t invest in funds (LoL) this app is useless

Good but still needs work on sync
Good app for Uk-based portfolios with just enough power functionality to justify paid version.
The only issue I have from time to time is slow sync across devices via iCloud. Even disconnecting and re-enabling sync doesn't fix this and you have no status messages to give you an idea of where the problem is.

Really like the app and it seems to do everything I need with exception of not updating some funds. I emailed support and, although had to chase, they were very helpful in resolving my problem which, it appears, is down to Yahoo. Thanks guys.

Well the app looks promising, but there is more that could be done with it, but more importantly I sent an email to support with a question about an anomaly with pricing of an instrument, but so far I have received no response. Not very satisfactory.

Best stock app, hands down!
I, like many others have tried lots of stock portfolio tracking apps and all have major flaws. The main problem for me was making sure I got a true representation after converting to different currencies, and multiple portfolios / accounts. Well this app does it super well! The free version is identical to the paid version so you know what you are getting, the paid version just allows for more portfolios and higher number of stocks! Would strongly recommend in this age of subscription services. For a small one off payment, you can have this app forever.

This is a wonderful app!
I’ve been looking for an app with this sort of functionality for some time, and this one is just about perfect. I run a series of portfolios with various UK stocks, investment trusts, funds, ETFs and European stocks. This app provides a great way to view and manage these, with reliable price feeds and a straightforward but powerful interface with a lot of deeper functionality. I run it on my iPad Pro 12.9 inch (2018 version) and it has been 100% reliable so far. Another aspect I really value is the fact that this app does not involve any subscription payments. I personally hate subscription based apps, so the one-off purchase model is another plus. If you are looking for a superb stand-alone app to manage your investments, don’t think twice. For around the price of a single execution only trade you really can’t go wrong. Bravo!

Wish I had found earlier
Used a lot of apps and after shareprice got taken over by iii I was looking for an easy app to monitor my shares without having to log in every time. This may cost when there are free apps out there but it’s well worth it. One price covers iPhone and iPad so no surprise costs (I’ve been caught before).
Since using it I now add every trade that I do so for the first time I can truly see how my whole portfolio is performing (I have accounts with different providers) I wish I had done this years ago.
Having apple products for years this is only the third review I have done so that speaks volumes of how good I think this is.
I have not contacted the app creator so have no feedback on how they perform regarding app modification request.

This is a fantastic app and replaced my app “AllMyShares’ which has been discontinued. Almost perfect but one thing that be great is ability to e-mail/excel csv or print off transactions in a date range. Why? Each year as part ok uk law we need to account for sales and dividends so can pay the relevant tax amount. At moment I will have to look at screen and re-type onto tax return - yep can be done but a right pain in the ar55 when your a busy investor with loads of transactions.

Easy to use, dynamic and interesting visually
Once you have read the help sections which are clear and precise, it is just a question of investing some time for inputting the shares you have and then bingo, you will have an instant live view of your portfolio. I use it everyday as it gives an instant view of what’s happening and it’s easy to drill down for more detail.

Simple, easy to use app for keeping track of valuations and transactions of one or more portfolios of shares, etfs, investment trusts, funds, including cash. Works with my UK and USA investments. I have tried quite a few and this is by far the best! Excellent customer service from Tom too.

Excellent App
Have been using this for >1Yr and it fully deserves a 5* rating. I was forced to migrate to this app after Bloomberg decided to self destruct by rendering a perfectly usable app to the scrapheap via an "upgrade". This app has many useful features including sync via iCloud so that you can copy your portfolio details onto your other iOS devices. Drop Bloomberg and go for this! Highly recommended.

Easily the best out there
Easily the best Portfolio manager you’ll get - both on a PC or as a Phone app. Once you’ve figured out how to upload your portfolio as trades (easy if you just download from your broker) it’s super easy to use and very accurate. I can’t think of any other product that comes close. 100% worth paying for the full version.

I attempted to use some of the other portfolio tracking tools and struggled to do even the simplest things - the were far too complex... this app does what I want - it tells me what my individual portfolios are worth and it is easy to buy/sell and add dividend payments...

Excellent App
Like this App with its clear graphics and easy to use layout.
Good you can set alerts, and keep track of prices continually without having to refresh the page.
I only give it four as I miss the ability to see ALL my dividends received over a selectable period which the developers said they were looking at doing on a future update.
So I will be back to give it FIVE if they do!

Best portfolio tracker
I have tried several other paid and non paid products as well as numerous spreadsheet iterations but this is the simplest to use day to day.
If you have a number of stocks and funds in your portfolio it does take a time to load but once this one off task is complete you then have tracking available at the click of a button (if the prices for instruments you hold are held by either Google or Yahoo.)

Superb App
This app is worth every penny and more of the purchase price. So nice to find an app that is clear, logical and easy to use. It has made my excel spreadsheet redundant! Very easy to set up and edit multiple portfolios, no idea what the negative review is talking about! If you’re serious about trading you need this app!

Great software. Such good value for what it does.
Yes, this is a paid app. But, but, but it is one of the best out there. Now you can track the full divi history as well as your historical portfolio trades. You can build multiple portfolios for personal and pension portfolios and for family. It takes a while to add the stock, but there is a csv import facility - if you look hard enough! You can export to csv as well to back up your hard work. You can also link portfolios between different devices allowing iPad at home and iPhone at work. All for just £15. Best value app for your money out there - and I spent a long time looking. Don't hesitate, buy it, load up the portfolios and enjoy the full tracking. Even has news and charts to review performances. Struggling to find a negative!
