Your app is fraught with poor UX. in comparison to your closest competitor it’s not enjoyable and a pain. You have been sending me ‘re-verify’ emails for months, yet your journeys fail. I am surprised you have not picked this up as a bug or noticed it with any of the monitoring software systems available. At this moment I have tried 5 times over the last few months but cannot re-verify. I will try at the next email prompt but if it fails again I will simply delete the app and just use your competitor that makes it easy. I won’t be missing much as you can often find everything you need on the other app, or if not, blue light or any other discount a site.

For alumni, Just an advertisement ploy
They promise an alumni scheme here before (when attempting to actually retrieve any useful offers I see), I get the message to the effective sound of «wopsie, that didn’t work as your account is restricted» I ven though I can clearly see through the app and profile that it is not. The alumni offers don’t seem to be real and it is alltogether just an unnecessary use of phone storage to keep this advertisement channel there.

I created an account and everything worked fine but when it came to verification, it would send the code but each time would say it was invalid. I emailed customer service and the next day they said they had changed it and verified me. I go on the app and they hadn’t. Good for identity, not offers
UNiDAYS is good in a way that its verification system is trusted by many retailers for in-store purchases and does open up a wide variety of offers. However, the app seems to have limited support for digital offers and redirects to different rewards platform in order to access offers (which would be much more convenient to have direct). Giveaways are also hard to enter and track meaning I gave up after a while. I wouldn’t say that the app is as good as the likes of Student Beans but as it’s free is still worthwhile for students who are eligible.

My account says I’m not eligible for student discount
Having recently left teaching and gone back to studying to change professions, I am now a student again. However, the UNiDAYS app will not recognise my change in status and after countless attempts I cannot claim student discount as none of the verification links work.
Then the app freezes and a wheel of death appears and I have to shut the app down.

Continuously asks me to login
I created my UNiDAYS account a few days ago and it works from on the website and on my laptop but the app on my phone continuously asks me to login. After I have signed in it automatically logs me out again and tells me to sign in again, which is very annoying and it prevents me from using the offers because I can’t log into my account without being signed out automatically.

This app used to work well but it has changed and for some reason I am now assumed to be a graduate even though I’m still studying.
The verification process now has you caught in an endless loop with support suggesting to check with my Uni rather than fixing the issue. Such a shame but as with all apps for some reason they have to be constantly updated to make them worse.

I wanted a Nespresso machine but at £99 it was just too expensive. This offer gives me 100 coffee pods worth £60 and a machine all for £99. A great offer.
Disappointing is Nespresso are giving me 10 free pods too but they are not Decaf.

Constantly have to verify account, although my status is verified until 2025; won’t allow me to access discounts as it wants me to verify my account again, I have forgotten my log in for uni email and away travelling at the moment so can’t access it. Absolutely disgraceful and disrespectful
I am a university lecturer and I am unable to get my account verified, despite several attempt. They ask me to send them an official document including the University name and logo, date, watermark and my name, but despite I have sent this several times, they keep asking for the document to be sent over and over. Under the U.K. common law, they are obliged to accept the document I have sent as this is considered a valid proof of identity and address, but they persist in breaching the law. I am also a disabled person and I am really struggling to get this approved. I think it’s absolutely disgraceful and disrespectful. It may be good for students, but definitely not for staff.

Unidays used to be a really good functioning app but after a recent update the search button just doesn’t work. Anytime i go to search something the whole app freezes. This wouldn’t be such an issue but unfortunately the search button is the easiest way to look for whatever specific brand you need and without it the app becomes kind of useless.

I have never been able to make use of the search function in the app. I can select search but it doesn’t register when I try to type, then the app freezes so have to restart and try looking manually, which is absolute crap! No access point for results
Competitions keep getting suggested to me, so I enter them and then I get notifications about the winner being selected but when I click on them they direct me to the app homepage so there is no way for me to check the result and there’s no option to do that on any page or menu and when I go to the brand’s page there is nothing about the competition there. Great, but where can I see competition results?
Generally, the app is very clear, and it’s great to have all of the discounts in one place. This function is really easy to use.
However, competition/draw results are hard (impossible?) to find. When entering a competition, it says “Check this page again later to see if you’ve won” (or words to that effect). However, I can only access competition pages from push notifications when the competitions are launched - not after, and not through the app itself.
If it is already possible to access competitions in-app, this needs to be made much, much more user-friendly.

I love the function of the app, despite some of the conditions being difficult to meet for some offers, and used to really like the app in general, but the new layout is absolutely horrible. It looks terrible to me, and makes navigating the app so much more difficult. Judging from some other review on here, I know I’m not the only one that hates the new layout. Also, some of the requirements for the discounts are ridiculous.

Forcing unnecessary features
The latest update forces you to view “Drops” instead of taking you to the usual home page. Why are we being force fed this drops feature? Is it not enough that it already takes up space on the tab bar, where everyone is aware of it? On top of this the drops page also pauses any media/music you are listening to. Absolutely infuriating

iPad Mini 5 tablet
I had given five stars for the friendly sales team.
The link went straight through to the Apple sales. I had ordered the iPad mini 5 series. The discount was very small only 5% discount. I bought the iPad but was disappointed due of the 5% for the students rate!!
Bought because shopped around Apple has a set price sellers always use the trade price. The only cheaper iPad mini are refurbished or secondhand. For the few pence I bought the new device because price difference wasn’t much.

I recently tried to use a deal and when I purchased something it wouldn’t go through (I was online shopping). I then decided to contact UNiDAYS about the issue and they told me it wasn’t their issue and I should contact the company. I then decided to contact the company and they said that as UNiDAYS issues the voucher it is on their end. It was frustrating as UNiDAYS just didn’t seem bothered about the issue. Other then the support team being unhelpful, the app is great and is worth it.

3 stars bc the actual deals are good and i can’t fault them for that. they changed the design to be more like a social media though and i just can’t understand why. no one wants to do polls abt what their favourite kfc chicken is or whatever i just want the voucher. it’s so much less user friendly than before, especially if i’m in any kind of rush to see an assortment of different options. i can only assume they’re getting paid by the bigger brands to show their dumb ad/polls more (aka just eat, burger king etc) even though as a user i just want a list of all options instead of having to sort through this awful feed. at the very least the polls and such should be seperate to make it easier or just go back to the old UI

Great app, Bad update
I love unidays, the app has saved me so much money since I’ve had it. I recommend it to literally every student I meet. However, the new update? Awful. It used to be so simple, clear and easy to use. The new update is confusing, not intuitive and somehow makes an all white back drop give me a headache. You can tell they were trying to make it clearer but it looks messier and jumbled, I think new users would really struggle to find all the discounts available.

Why the new layout
UNiDAYS app, is amazing but this whole new layout is a no no.
It was nice when everything was almost grid form, logo and % discount. Now there’s a whole banner with description and you’ll have to click it to see how much % it offers. It’s no longer visually easy to tap around. As a student, we just need straight UI and UX design. Makes me not want to scroll around on the app anymore.

Uh is it a discount really?
I’m a student a never used a discount because it’s almost impossible. All the requirements make it not worth it because at the end of the purchase you end up not having a discount at all. It usually doesn’t make a difference because the restaurants have deals that are a lot cheaper than if I used your discount codes.
Would be nice if I could actually benefit from this because it feels like in general there’s no genuine discounts for students. None of them are easy to use. Always have to spend more this amount, can’t use it Monday to Friday etc. It’s silly how difficult it is.

Absolutely terrible app. Every time I’ve opened it, I have been automatically logged out and when I go back to log in it just says ‘error please try again later’. After pressing retry a few times it used to work but now it doesn’t at all. I have tried updating to the latest version, deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing. I’d rather just pay full price than having to sit there messing about with the app in an attempt to make it work. Useless.

I believe it has benefits students all over the country . it has helped us afford the the necessities in our day to day lift it dose help a lot when you in college & university marking it easier to afford . It help us not ask excepts money for out parents or Careers when they may not have it .

Would be much better if...
Would be much better if you had every type of institution as I started a course at reflections training academy and that doesn’t exist according to your app I’m a pre apprentice and the course is only 6 months which is apparently not possible according to your app and I would love to use a personal email as we have not got one for reflections as we don’t need one we’re contacted by number

Let down
Absolute rubbish, can’t get past the first screen when entering institution, once entered I just get back to the same screen 😂 same with email verification and even logging in, will not recommend to any other students

Good app but...
The app itself seems good and so do the discounts offered-would be even better if I could verify my account! The emails used for my college is our own personal ones so the app won’t let me login and tells me I’ve got the wrong password when using the ‘portal option’ so can’t verify. I’ve emailed the customer service team 4 times and my dad has even emailed them too and neither of us have had any response from them. Great potential but beyond awful custom service team.

Absolutely Great
I am a student and Unidays is amazing it is available for so many brands and shops. Nearly everything i but has an offer
however it doesn’t have so popular shops which you would expect it to have but aside from that it is amazing ❤️❤️

If your a student with a school email like me, then this app is perfect for you. I can’t find any faults with it myself and helps your save money even if the offer is only 10%. I have used some of the offers many times and are a life saver. Nothing on this app costs money and it is one of the best app in my own opinion.

Ideal for students
If there is any students out there that are wanting to save money on their favourite things or would like a discount then uni days is the perfect app I’ve been using it since I have been at college and now that I am at university this app is literally the best thing I have come across!!!

I’m a student but can’t sign up
My account recently expired and as an apprentice I tried to sign up again. I was told that as my training provider do not issue ID cards, instead using a sign in basis, nor supply individual emails I could not reactivate my account. I was told if I got a letter confirming I was a current student that would be sufficient yet on offering this forward I was once again declined. I offered to arrange a phone call between them and my training provider and get again was dismissed bluntly. Absolutely useless and quite frankly, discriminative.

Essential for any student
STUDENTS: GET THIS APP. It is unbelievably useful and saves you so much money especially if you shop often. I love buying clothes & have saved a lot in the long run by having discounts anywhere from 10% to 60%. Also there are lots of other discounts for things like food, beauty, tech, health stuff, etc. I cannot recommend it enough!! :))))

Love UNiDAYS !
Being a student has a lot of hassles and we love shopping but we also need lots of little things to undergo our studies and this app has everything we need. I get new ideas for presents + discounts! And I keep an ID in my phone what has saved me a couple of times. Carry on UNiDAYS!

Great app
Would be good if there was a function to favourite frequently used brands so that you can access them quickly.
Also, it’s not always clear as to whether it has accepted what I’ve typed in the brand suggestion form - it would be good if it maybe popped up with a message confirming that the suggestion has been sent through.
Apart from that it’s a great app and I use it all the time on the go, it has the same great functionality of the website and a lot of really good and helpful discounts for students.

Whilst I love the app, it refuses to let me verify my account and when i have reported the problem, no one has gotten back to me about it. this means i cannot use it for student events and offers, making me dislike the app and not recommend it to friends.
