Needs updating (looks bad ok iPhone X)
Great app, but the UI is dated (black bars on iPhone X) and odd sound when you save a file.
I bought the upgrade, but I hope they will facelift it soon.

HEARD is a practical way to have a backup of anything important you hear. When you hear something worth remembering, tap a button to preserve it for later reference. Its that simple :)

Note:
Now the base version gives you a 1 min buffer. An In-App purchase is needed to buffer up to 5 mins.
Limitations:
Just like any app that uses the MIC on iOS, while HEARD is listening in the background:
- you will notice a red bar at the top of the screen
- some notifications get silenced by the OS when the MIC is ON. Although the important stuff such as Phone calls, Calendar alerts and Clock alarms will continue to make sounds
- Recording 'regular' cell phone calls is not allowed by iOS. But the app should work fine with VoIP calls such as Skype and Viber (when on speaker)
Privacy:
We take user's privacy very seriously, and we go the extra mile to make sure we protect it:
- Nothing gets saved to permanent storage until the user tells us to do so. This means, what gets 'recorded' is completely in the user's control. After a few mins (equal to the length of the buffer) there is no trace left of the audio HEARD listened to
- User's recordings never leave the device unless the user wants them to e.g via email or FB post.

Needs updating for ISO11.
Stopped working. Can see an update in the ‘Settings, General, Appications, About’ but will not update. Not yet in new App Store.

Great app
Just try it to see. And then compare it with kapture. This app is simply amazing. It is also ios 11 compliant.
Two requests:
1. Update it for ios 11. [Thank you for doing this swiftly]
2. Can it be integrated with Apple Watch so that I can tap complication in watch to activate heard on phone.

Crap!!!
Don't buy the full/paid version. It doesn't work !!! This is a total embarassement: I could use free version and it works just fine , but when I paid them 4 GBP formthr full version it turns out that the extra part is crap!!!

Great for songwriting
We use this for songwriting all the time. And when you get that great idea for a lyric or chorus you don't miss it. Just click the button to save it. It's so so useful. I wish renaming the files was a bit less clunky but overall highly recommended, especially for musicians.

Great app
Used it a few times now and its captured some useful stuff. A GUI update would be good. The red banner doesn’t come in the way on the iP6+ so that’s good. I want to leave it on all the time. I like more from this app… an easy way to save last 5 minutes (increase to 10-30 mins?) or turn background recording on and off - maybe an iOS8 notifications extension would be perfect!?

I contacted the developer and they told me a fix for the ios 8 crash problem is submitted and should be available very soon! Great app.

It's a awesome idea
5 mins?? It only takes 1 minute for someone to say that one thing that you can pull them up on. If I'd have had this app 5 years ago who knows how many nasty people would have got their come upance.

Base app is basically a demo. That you pay for. Need to pay an additional 2.99 for full 5min recording (mentioned in a small note half way through the description).

Clever App
I note that some people have reviewed this app with one star, primarily because they think its dangerous and controversial. Yes, same as many things in this world, in the wrong hands etc etc. All I will say is: If you don't do or say anything wrong what is there to worry about? If people want to record me talking crap, bring it on. Anyway, personally i will find this app very useful, especially when accosted in the street and subjected to vile verbal abuse. Brilliant and thanks for writing it. Five stars.
One thing I'd like to see is an off button to stop recording. At present you have to double tap the home button and close the app down.

No flashing and longer record time
Great app but removal of flashing status bar would be good as it interbreed with other apps. Also much longer record time (1 to 3 hours) would be very useful.

How is this allowed?
This app highlights the nightmare that George Orwell wrote about in his book, 'nineteen eighty four'. This app constantly records everything that is in earshot of the phone, how can this be allowed? In my opinion this will be a very controversial application and sadly will probably start something of a trend. This app will also lead to many problems in the future such as blackmailing or spying but what does that matter to the makers as they just want the cash that comes with the problems.
