Having a money converter on hand while traveling is helpful to always know real conversion rates. As a business, money exchanges typically add fees and bend the exchange rate in their favor to turn a profit. So make sure to calculate your money before converting. We update currency data daily so you always know you’re getting the best foreign exchange rates straight from the bank.

Money conversion is made simple with our gesture based interface. Swipe the keyboard down to access favorites, swipe it left for quick access to historical charts. Tap on your favorites to set the base currency. Delete the base currency amount by swiping right or restore it by dragging it back.

Beautiful

Update: Really love the new design!

What more can I say really? This app is beautiful, heard about it on thefoxisblack and I'm glad I checked it out. It's so much better than the ugly converters out there! I'll definitely be using it on my upcoming holiday. Five stars. Ten out of ten. Just amazing!

Was great, what happened

This used to stand out as a well-designed minimal app that was different to the rest.

Paid for it. Now they seem to want an annual sub, the design became like all the rest. Bleurgh.

Underrated app

I’ve been doing a bit of traveling lately and find myself this this neat app frequently. It’s very simplistic and easy to use! I find it strange it very so underrated. It should be a editors choice!

Easy to use!

Love the app. It's so easy to use and the chart showing the exchange rate for the past 6 months is also very good in seeing the trend.

Simplistic and Useful

Living abroad, I've tried all the converters. I appreciate most having a comma in the amounts as it makes it easier to quickly see I've entered enough zeroes when working with currencies in the millions (like in Vietnam!). I'd love to see a calculator function added, but I'm happy enough with the app as is.

Beautiful functional app

I wish all application could as user experience focussed as "Currency".

It such nice to feel that the team behind the app has thought of the user, what pleases the eyes in terms of colour tonality and typography. Currency is purely dedicated to its function and its users.

This is an exemple to all developers who only think of what the app should do but don't understand that we judge first the look and feel before judging the function.

Best currency app

I'm glad they updated it as I had to stop using it for a while. This is by far the best currency app for me, great UX with smooth gestures, even has bitcoin :) adding a few more alt coins would be the only improvement I can think off... please keep it updated!

Huge Potential

First things first, in essence this app is truly beautiful. Beautiful to look at. Beautiful to use.

At the same time, it hasn't been updated in a very long while. May 2013 to be exact. This is long enough to make you feel like the app has been abandoned.

Simple features such as iOS 7's keyboard for search (it still uses iOS 6's grey one), and having the status bar seamlessly blended the same colour haven't implemented. It's surprising as the developers evidently really cared about the design of this app at the time of making it.

I think this costs them not being readily advertised by Apple on the App Store as a standout iOS currency converter, and understandably so.

Simply fantastic.

Currently on holiday and have found myself using this loads of times on a daily basis.

Once you've learnt the gestures (takes about 30 seconds) it's really quick and simple to see what's what whilst shopping etc. I really recommend this to anyone travelling.

May not have every feature, but that doesn't matter.

Beautifully designed, super-simple to use. Charts are useful without being complex and show value not exchange rates.

charts don't work

confusing UI but you can figure it out eventually. charts don't seem to work though, either blank or just a line at 1 (looks like it charts a currency against itself)

Smooth

This is a beautifully simple currency app. Although there is no detailed guide for how to use it, some poking around soon let's you figure it out. A short animation or video would be great, although I realise that would bump the app size up some.

One thing I would change is to have the graphs feature(which didn't work for me - it just loads an empty screen) on the empty button on the left of the keypad, and add the delete button in its usual spot. The swipe to delete feature is nice, and I'll most likely use it sometimes, it's a lot quicker to just hit delete if you make a mistake than to reach up and swipe.

Beautiful but not quite functional

No gesture guide.

No ability to convert precise currencies - only whole numbers. For example, you can't convert 33.50 GBP to USD - it'll have to be 33 or 34.

Simple, quick (and slick!)

In my mind the best apps tend to be simple, super easy to use and allow you to do what you want with speed. This app certainly ticks all these boxes, and as a bonus looks really beautiful too. Particularly love the swipe to delete animation. A joy to use. Great job!
