Ignore the knob who said people don’t know how to use technology…they have a non-iPhone which works fine…as my husband’s does. The fact that iPhone users have been left in the dark is ridiculous.

Lignes d'Azur Tickets is the most convenient way to travel by bus or tram in the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area with Lignes d'Azur!
No need to wait at a ticket vending machine or agency: buy and top up tickets instantly on your Lignes d'Azur card from your phone, wherever you want, whenever you want.
The application also allows you to check the contents of a Lignes d'Azur card: number of remaining trips, expiry date of a subscription, etc.

Using public transport in the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area has never been easier. Here's how to buy and load a ticket onto your Lignes d'Azur card:
- Open the application and click on "Buy a ticket on a Lignes d'Azur card".
- Follow the instructions by placing your card at the back top of your phone to scan it.
- After checking its contents, select a ticket to top up.
- Pay securely by credit card.
- Place your card again at the top back of your phone to top up the ticket you have just purchased.
- Once your purchase has been made and your card topped up, you can use your card to travel on the Lignes d'Azur lines.

Can’t buy tickets. Useless.

Doesn’t work - lost my money
App does not work, both myself and my partner faced the same issues when attempting to top up our cards. Once it asks you to tap the card on the back of your phone it says failed every time, the issue with this is that you have to have already paid before you get to this step, so we are both now down €10, with no option to cancel or refund in the app

This app works pretty well but I don’t understand why i have to enter my credit card info manually each time. It should allow Apple Pay or at the very least allow to scan the card.

Terrible app, took money and then wouldn’t top up the card immediately after processing the payment. Sort yourselves out.

Wholly useless
Cannot see the point of this app! Also why does it need to download 2 apps not 1?? - I was not able to buy a ticket or validate a journey with it. Google maps better for timetables. Just buy a card from a Tabac like I did. On the other hand we got a few trips free when the buses were too full to reach for the tapping machine, or didn’t have one..

Doesn’t work with iPhone SE (screem size)
This app was recommended to me by a friend who spends a lot of time in Nice, but it has a silly bug that does not work with my phone.
I have an iPhone SE (bought in 2023) which is a slightly smaller size than other models. So when this Lignes d’Azur app says “click on the button below” in order to read or top up a card, no button appears at the bottom of the screen.
On my friend’s larger phone, the button appears.
This is a banal bug: an app should be designed to function and adapt with different models or screen sizes; this is a common requirement and the developers should be able and willing to fix this.
Very disappointing.

One of the worst apps I’ve even had to use (from a developer)
As a developer, and ui/ux specialist, this is by far one of the most horrendous apps ever built. To a point that I’m scratching my head as to what the developers and people in charge of validating this thing we’re thinking.
Apart from it’s obviously a money making scheme- *making it as complicated as possible to use in order to then catch people out when they don’t hold a validated ticket perhaps? Apple making more money after you throw you’re phone out of the window after not getting the app to work?*
Anyway, the issue stems from not being able to even read my card. So I can’t even top it up. Why not just let people put in the card number at the back of each card instead? Seems like a simple solution to something that causes their users a world of frustration and problems? Their contact us goes to an email (of course there’s going to be a good response time for that when you’re waiting at a bus stop needing to top up your card?).

Can’t buy tickets without a card
You need to physically go and buy a card to ride the bus or tram. This app will not let you buy a ticket. Last year one could buy tickets on a mobile but they got rid of this functionality. Useless..

STUPID USELESS APP
So apparently you cannot buy a ticket if you’re using iOS you can only recharge your card which as a tourist it’s obvious I don’t currently have!!!!! On the flip side if you want to buy a ticket from the airport ticket machine it’s €10!!!!!! So on the app solo ticket costs €1,70, but at the airport is 10 times the price???? Are you joking ????

What about my old tickets?
All the money I had on the old Lignes d’Azur App has been lost as they can’t be transferred to the new App. Why? I don’t live in Nice but spend months there each year, and have just discovered that the old App with all my tickets is no longer valid sine 30th June. We were last in Nice in May so in 3 months this App had suddenly been discontinued without any notice? My money has been stolen. Plus , now another card to add to my wallet. Why this backward step??The phone App was much more convenient.

Tourist scam run by government
When you scan the QR code and download the app you have to scan a card to be able to purchase the €1.70 tickets, this card isn’t available from the airport, the app won’t work without it. It is only available outside of the airport meaning you HAVE to pay €10 for the airport ticket or risk being fined for not having a ticket. They are trying to only catch tourists and scam them. Absolutely disgusting system.

The whole premise of being able to use the app is to scan the card with your phone, and this function does not work at all. We tried multiple phones. No way for us to refill = useless app.

Save yourself the both and buy a physical ticket.

A scam authorised by the government of Nice.
There is no function as a ticket and the name of app includes ticket.
The staffs of the tram is very aggressive and always look for opportunities to trap tourists and fine them. If you are a tourists who do not speak french well, please be ready to contact your country’s consulate when you face them. They are literally robberies hired by the goverment.

Worse than the old App
The app does not allow you to use your mobile phone as a ticket. You need a separate plastic card to charge. Nice ticket no longer works. So visitors have no obvious way to buy tickets. Very poor and a step backwards.
