Not worth the high price
Firstly, the good stuff, the score sheet is much improved, you can track who has seen your cards, and I like that you can view the other players score sheets at the end of the game.
You can play in landscape mode which is better for iPad players.
I like that there are different play style options.
The bad stuff, the graphics and animations look very dated and are too long. There are no scoreboards so you can’t keep track of how many games you’ve played, or where you come on the leaderboard like in the original game.
The options for character avatars are very limited unless you’re willing to pay a lot of money for content that isn’t available and might never be available. The original game has lots of options for avatars so you don’t see the same ones all the time.
If more avatar choices are released, an option to turn off the slow animation, and leaderboards are brought in, then I would be much happier with the game.

Too slow paced
The pace in between turns is too slow. There needs to be a ‘fast forward’ option like other games.
The general game is very good and accurate to really playing - just speed up the game play

It keeps moving my character around!
It moves my character through out rounds. I was trying to reach study and kitchen. But it kept moving me everywhere that it took 5 rounds for me to get to the kitchen. Even though I was getting so close after my dice roll, yet on the next round I’d be somewhere else far from where I want to be! It was extremely frustrating

No local game/companion app option
Decided to buy this as I saw the companion app and thought it would work well. My own fault for not reading that the companion pack only works with select platforms and not iOS/ipadOS. For some reason we aren’t allowed local play. Have requested refund, will buy again if local play gets added

Frustrating game
Yeah it’s better than the original for the most part.. except when I’m the game you get stuck in certain rooms and can’t get anywhere else (conservatory, ball room, billiard room, or lounge).. tried for nearly 6 turns to get to the study and library and ended up leaving the game. Never that that problem in the original.

Does not work on iPad Air first gen
Sadly, we bought this and it crashes on the loading screen. Really disappointed.

Not what I expected
Not sure it’s much of an improvement, firstly graphics are like a old video game from 20 years ago, the old game had a nice charm about it and was pleasing to look at the rooms and the details in the pictures. Also gameplay seems slow to me, do I really need each character to pop and I say “I can’t help you” it just seems too slow, I just want ticks and crosses to quickly appear, job done! The clue sheet is clumsy, the auto number option is nice but not intelligent enough to not number when there is a tick already there, and also when you place a tick it doesn’t automatically cross the other boxes which is very annoying! And having it landscape makes the clue sheet quite small when playing on a phone, I much preferred it being portrait! It’s a shame you didn’t just make some new themes for the original game and not bother with this new game!!

Still buggy..
Was hoping it would work better than the first one but there’s a lot of issues with matchmaking.
Me and my mum play and as we were sat together the pregame screen was clearly different, it wasn’t changing the character selection and showing other players as different characters so only one person could ready up. Then two of the players actually phased together on another attempt. Also the UI for the checklist is too small for her to see so maybe having an option for it to be a similar layout to the first one would be helpful!
Other than that, the animation is 100% better and I’m excited for the unlockables as it gives a goal.

Take time to get used to
I’ve played classic for years now and it’s totally different. Only played one game, graphics are fab and not glitchy like classic. Although, I use my phone to play and the clue sheet very small. Gonna take a while to get used to.

Fantastic
Great game. As longtime Cluedo fan I love this edition and the new variation. Great graphics, sound and atmosphere. Will there be a season pass or will we need to buy new themes individually?
UPDATE : Thank you for adding a Season Pass which I purchased straightaway. Intrigued about the references to eight suspects in the Black Adder Resort - Hyacinth and Grey. They are mentioned in the Case Files but aren’t playable suspects - is this something to be revealed in future updates?

Good game but some major mistakes
This game is overall good but there should be the proper Cluedo characters since when was miss scarlet black (not that I have issue at all just factually wrong for game) the graphics are way better then first game the online aspect is hit and miss not many playing

Great Game but………
Love this, but the latest update has destroyed the game play and it is now unplayable, please remove the bugs immediately, especially as this is a paid game…..

Murderously good update
Really enjoyable variations to the classic game, with attractive characters and locations. Hopefully more people will join for online games soon - not sure if it’s server issues or a lack of players for a fairly new game, but it’s hard to find opponents at the moment. Even single player is fun, though

Absolutely amazing
This game is a massive step up from the previous Cluedo app, with much improved graphics, more game modes, unlockables and much more. Maybe an extra hard difficulty could be added for the people who have a lot of experience with Cluedo? When I play on hard, I don’t often lose. I don’t know if that’s an issue with the difficulty or not. But regardless, this is a fantastic app from fantastic developers. Lots of fun. Definitely one of the best apps so far.

Excellent new slant on an old favourite
I have been playing classic Cluedo on ipad for some years with great enjoyment. This new version is extremely good with superb graphics. I particularly like the new key questions mode as if you use your key it goes to the player you ask thereby adding a different element of strategy to the game. I will continue to enjoy both versions of the game on ipad and a well done to the developers who worked on this.
