Netflix Subscription Required

I loved the first two Monument Valley games, but I’m not willing to take on yet another subscription to play it, especially not with Netflix. I’m sick of being treated like trash by these massive corporations. Apparently Netflix are going to release different levels throughout the year so people have to stay locked in to a subscription. Netflix is a trash platform, with trash politics, that takes on shows and drops them without proper endings. Why are we still paying rich people for poor products? Just let us pay for this game without having to lock in to a subscription.

Lovely, but subscription required

If you liked the first two Monuments Valleys, this is a worthy follow up. Thoughtful puzzles and melancholy atmosphere. Being a little less level-based and more sprawling, oftentimes closing the app means losing a bit of progress if you didn’t hit a checkpoint, but nothing major. The major drawback is the move to a subscription model. I would gladly have payed for this game and bought copies for my friends, but I won’t be doing that and probably won’t ever go back to replay this once my month is up.

Best puzzle game

I’ve played the 1st monument valley and 2nd and honestly I’ve always thought this game was very well thought out. I feel for me the game really gets your brain thinking. And the illustration for this game is wonderful in the 1st and 2nd but wow the 3rd is amazing. The music so relaxing and the illustration is not too much for the eyes.

Never fails to impress

Ive loved monument helplessly from the first game. Its the sort of app that you dont even delete when your storage is full and you’ve had to painstakingly delete apps and photos. And im so so glad to finally see these talented artists being showcased, as they finally deserve. Ive been waiting for maybe 8(?) years for the new game, I even remember the day i finished the last game. The colours, the incredible atmosphere, characters, the mind blowing way it works (i cant even IMAGINE how they developed this-please make a video on it someday ily). The puzzles. So interesting, so beautiful, sometimes difficult but so so rewarding, beautiful brain-turning, perfect. The gorgeous quotes, that mean so much. The hard truths. The story. How every chapter can be heart-wrenchingly relatable in one way or another. In so many perspectives. And always, you want to keep going. it forces you to keep going, even if you’ve been stuck and going in circles. Shows you how to take a step back and try again until it works. This has not failed me in any way. It surpassed. Thank you for the beautiful moments your apps created!!! <3

Pay to Play has killed this game

I played the first 2 games and loved them, the story, the artistry, the challenge. Such a beautiful game and has now been killed by the fact Netflix want to monopolise streaming and gaming, such a shame the game developers have sold out and handed this work of art over to a faceless soul less corporation that only intends to bleed the consumer dry, I would have happily paid for this game a a a one off purchase but will not be handing over any extra to Netflix

Best trilogy game

I have played a lot of games and I’ve played the last two since I was little but by far is this the best one you’ve made on the mv games, not only is it just a beautiful game but the puzzles are tricky but so calming. Part puzzle game, part mindfulness exercise, MV3 isn’t a huge leap beyond the gameplay seen in its predecessors. However, it still remains a beautifully-presented isometric headscratcher. Play with headphones on to enjoy its relaxing sounds.

If I could give a 100 stars to this little gem, I would… and it would still be not enough. Brilliant, compelling storytelling, wonderful graphics and thoughtfully written music. I squealed like a kid when I found out there’s now part 3 (if you haven’t played parts 1&2, stop reading this now and go play!), and my 8-year-old daughter mirrored my reaction. I just don’t want it to be finished too soon so I’m stopping myself from going through the whole thing in one go (although I keep replaying parts 1&2 quite regularly).

Beautiful journey of a game full of soul and color

Monument Valley 3 is clearly a game made with love. In every level or part of the story I feel a care and concern, elevated by the vibrant yet cozy color palette and soothing stylings of the world that’s been created. It is just a joy to play something challenging that pushes our mind to twist, while challenging us also in the narrative of helping people in crisis. Thank you for making this. The world needs more experiences, games, stories like it that I sense are made from kindness more than anything. Highly recommend. 🥂

Beautiful

How lovely to find another chapter of monument valley and wow what an incredible chapter this is. The colours are magnificent, the graphics otherworldly and magical and I love the new characters and their cute interactions. This game was a phenomena when it first came out and groundbreaking and chapter 3 doesn’t disappoint , the boat is a lovely addition and the music is still so fitting for the game. The puzzles are gentle enough not to frustrate , so far I think this is my favourite chapter…. But then maybe I always think that of the chapter I’m currently playing as they’re all so good! 😂

A polished game, but having played Monument Valley 1 and 2, part 3 seems less taxing and shorter. Nevertheless very enjoyable for a hour or so. I look forward to the April update.

I can’t believe this game is free, I saw it advertised on IG and was happy to drop some money on it, and was staggered that it’s a free game.

Monument Valley IMO is simply the greatest game I’ve played since I was much younger and used to be addicted to Jet Set Willy and before that, Manic Miner.

There’s been many games that’s tried to emulate the look, feel and atmosphere of MV, and not one comes close. These clones only immigrate, Ustwo really innovate, there was nothing…NOTHING that looked of felt like MV when it first was released, to this date it’s still a stand out game.

Is this a game or a tech demo?

Love the first game but the follow ups are just nice looking walkthroughs once again there is NO puzzle elements some of the levels are just move one block walk to exit. I mean come on whoever did the level design needs to have a word with themselves.

Favourite game!

Monument Valley games are my favourite and this one is beautifully animated again. It sounds amazing. I’m trying to play it slowly so I don’t finish it too fast. But I will just re-play it again as I do the others. Brilliant!

Beautiful Game!!

I’ve played the other 2 games and completed them very easily but MV3 is above all of them. The sailing mechanic in some of the levels is like no other mobile game I’ve seen before. I would definitely recommend playing it!!
