Kudos to the Devs.
Just want to give Kudos to the devs behind this version of GTA:SA Definitive Edition. It looks like the devs of this version have listened to player feedback regarding the PC/Console versions and fixed as much of the complaints as possible. The big one being the lighting, which more closely follows the aesthetic of the original game.

The game keeps crashing
Don't get me wrong this is a great game and I was having such a buzz playing it but for some reason after a week of playing the app keeps crashing everytime I open it. Please fix this developers!

Good game overall, just one thing..
I don’t know if this is just a bug for me, but every 3-7 seconds there’s always a freeze for about a quarter of a second. I find it quite annoying and I also wish that it ran at 60FPS. But aside from that it’s a very good game

The app crashes more frequently than the cars in the game
The game took several attempts to open without it crashing. I finally get it going and after ten minutes it crashes again.
The look, feel and controls are all great. It they can get it working properly it’s probably a fantastic adaptation of a loved game into phone/tablet version. As it stands right now I have deleted it. Netflix/Rockstar please let us know when you have fixed it.

Can’t even download it
When you download it and start it up, you receive a notification to say it needs to download approximately 6GB extra software, however this never completes. It gets to 50% then starts going backwards.
So never got to play the game.

FIX THIS!
The game is really good, however I’m getting stuck on Denise Robinson mission (where I have to save her from the fire) every time I bring her to her house. I delete the game and I’m going to installing again to see if it works now. If not I will update and please fix this!!

Random crashes
The game is okay. The blurry image sometimes hurts my eyes. Every time you launch the game you have to adjust the resolution so the game won’t look blurry.
The game randomly crashes and closes itself. It’s very annoying, and I’m playing on an iPhone 13.
The control to me is weird a little bit. I don’t like that the camera always moves around even when I set in a specific angle and you cannot turn that off.
You only have 3 sizes for the buttons and you cannot make them larger.
Overall, it’s good through Netflix, however, I wouldn’t pay for it.

the game overall is good and it was going well until recently i finished a mission and it won’t tell me what to do next so essentially im doing nothing

What’s the point; it looks very similar to the original and is still locked at 30FPS. Please unlock to 60FPS.

I thought the comments said the bugs are fixed but so far I am experiencing bugs after bugs. NPCs spawning inside the ground, cars flying and most importantly and game breaking is the camera lock!!!! It locked the camera for me in hood view around the beginning of the game when inside a car and that’s how it’s been since!!!! It’s unplayable!

Good game but it’s a hit and miss
I have been playing this for a few days now and everytime I go to start the game it loads to the yellow rockstar logo and then crashes it’s not been working for days now and I have checked to make sure there is no updates needed! Please fix this !!!

The controller and handling aren’t up to par
Sadly this game is still as ugly as it was from it initial release. I thought rockstar had learnt from the meme, but apparently not, it’s still hideous and looks like an AI code dump. I have the original game on my phone and it plays and runs a lot smoother, the controls are a lot better on it too. I don’t recommend paying money for this game, by all means you can enjoy it for free with your membership but you’ll find yourself going back to the original like I did

Quits on launch

Overall well done

Really good game but…
Amazing game, takes me back to my childhood but with much better graphics! However disappointed that this game is doesn’t run at 60fps or 120fps and has the same frame rate as the original.
Fix this and it’s 5 stars!

Driving and moving around can be abit difficult
The mission to set house on fire and save the girl
After saving the girl and dropping her home, the girl doesn’t go inside the house and runs around till she eventually fights someone and dies which results in mission failed
This bug needs to be fixed or can’t continue missions
Not sure if anyone else has it haven’t seen anyone else posting about this bug

My view
I enjoyed playing this version of SA. I like how they fixed the bugs from the Pc/console version and just made it look better with the lighting.
However, I don’t recommend playing if you have little storage, compared to the OG mobile port this is almost 10GB. Additionally, the game is not well optimised compared to the OG. Unless you are on a device above the iPhone 11 you aren’t going to be playing this game well at all.
My advice:
- Unless you got a netfix subscription AVOID - buy either the rockstar version or the original version
- Make sure your on an Iphone 11+ and you will be having fun
- Obviously if you dont have enough storage install the other version

So glad Netflix and Rockstar partnered up to give us the Definitive edition! However sometimes it kicks me out of the app and I have to open it again. Plus the audio sometimes doesn’t work as well. Please fix this!!!

Once you start it up you have to download the game but everytime I does it just freezes on a percentage and won’t go up been like this for 3 days. Also sometimes starts downloading backwards. Where it downloads to like 50% then starts going down to 45%.
