The was nothing to say that you have to pay as this app popped up when I was playing a game and decided to download it until they wanted a payment so I decided to uninstall it as I’m not paying for something that is a scam

Consider the cost of batteries and it’s ok!
At first I was dumbfounded by the cost then I thought of all the batteries I buy. Still £35 a year is too much but if it cost the same as the batteries - £10 / £20 per year it would be a great alternative. As it is, it’s more economical to go out and buy a new remote if you’ve lost yours. Or a universal unit from the middle of Lidl for a fiver. This has ads too. So frustrating when you’re used to using a remote subconsciously and very quickly. Almost pay per button click. Needs thought.

The app connects fine, but you are met with near constant pop ups preventing you from pressing anything more than once, asking you to pay and sign up. Why advertise as having a free version, when it’s clearly a cash grab. I don’t need to see “possible subscription options”. Absolute joke of an app. Dont waste your time.

The app offers free use for basic functions, but this is not true, even the lite version is very expensive, charging you weekly. Plus it didn’t work with any TV I tried, certainly didn’t get anywhere close to screen sharing. Avoid at all costs!

I downloaded this after reading some developer responses to reviews basically saying you need a monthly sub for *advanced smart* functions - leading you to believe that you could do the basics like volume up down and power for free… however once set up, every 3 button presses it pops up asking you to pay. This is pure greed, plus why on earth would you pay an ongoing subscription to a remote control? Crazy. If it had £1.99 lifetime use of basic functions (volume, power, up down left right ok & menu) for example then I’m sure they would have a lot more people paying. Lost another customer from pure greed. It’s all about ££££ with apps like these.

Cost
Although it is an attractive software it should be free or at least much cheaper than what is demanded. Certainly both offer prices costs a lot more than the actual physical remote control. Plus it does not cater for the satellite TV remote control. It is not value for money and only a fool would buy such a remote controller software for your phone which should be free for what it does. Surely a replacement remoat could be purchased on the high street. Finally it is not even a one off payment it's a weekly or monthly rolling (re - occurring payment)

I only downloaded this app as my 18 month old took and hid the tv remote somewhere. I was pleasantly surprised by its functionality - easy to connect, intuitive use, shortcuts within the app to your favourite streaming platforms, and it actually seems to process commands faster than the real tv remote. The only downside is the yearly £35 subscription. I’d happily permanently swap my tv remote for this app if it was a one off £35 cost for life.

An Honest Review
The app is simple; shows you how to use it, lets you connect and then allows for 3 button presses. Then asks for payment. You cannot do anything after that. You must pay.
