Great game, but no cloud saves and has lost data
This is one of my favourite games of all time. I have played literally thousands of hours on the Mac so was made up to find this has become available for free with my Netflix subscription.
Unfortunately, the game does not support cloud saves, so I cannot continue a game started on my iPad on my iPhone. Even worse, on updating the app, it has lost my game. Considering the length of one game, this is highly annoying.

Game crashes whenever I restart a game. No issues with the original mobile civ 6.

lol at the reviews, works great for me, cool phone on so many turns and have like 3 different saves at over 750 turns

Needs cheat codes to enjoy
I’m a casual player and this is a really complicated game. Unfortunately, until you install Cheat Codes and allow us to play it like a sandbox it’s not gonna take off. You’ll just be appealing to those tiny percentage that enjoy deep intense games.

Does not download the resources
Can download it from the App Store but once the app is downloaded it requires you to do a 2.8 GB resource download. However that does not download, it keeps saying I need a Internet connection. I have uninstalled the app and Netflix as well as restarting my iPad. But my brother did it on his and it works. I have the iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (6th generation) non cellular.

One of the greatest games of all time. 1 Star.
I love civ6 but it was simply not designed for mobile. On newest iPhone 16 and experienced constant crashes and my phone feeling like an oven after only 50 turns.
