I have been enjoying this game on my iPhone but have recently got an iPad and I’m unable to have the same log in details in both iPhone and iPad. Would love to know in there’s a way to change the user ID in my iPad? Would happily give 5 stars in this was possible.

Enjoyable to a point

Better than scrabble go, but the bot intelligence curve escalated ridiculously high too quickly, and is not reflected in the opponent description. No possibility to clear bot match history, no horizontal orientation, cannot reinstate tutorial or skip. Deleting the app out of irritation with these simple QoL features being missing

Love a Dabble in Scrabble?

I really like the game of Scrabble.. never really started playing until my late teens but fell in love with to the extent I was buying big deluxe scrabble boards, with timers and some made with wood and having the ability to rotate. The online game is sadly a shadow of its former online versions, not by the design and features, but the ability to play real players. I have tried a few times and you get those that start but make one or two moves at the most, then you’re ghosted. I play the bots mostly but they are either too predictable or they churn words out that would make an Oxford Dictionary compiler raise an eyebrow at the unrealistic event of any any high quality player putting down such unconventional words at such frequency. Hence my rating… still love my Scrabble boards though ❤️

Too many gems needed to play on.

I’m not a bad player, having a good score. However, the mini games are too difficult to achieve and people can use gems to win, rather than skill.

Better but even expensiver

Cleaner, more polished experience than playing traditional scrabble on scrabble go. But I started getting the awful Go full screen game ads at the end of my turn which I hadn’t at first. It’s blackmail to pay for premium, even more expensive than Go.

Not suitable for iPad

I wanted simple scrabble game, as playing on scrabble board, but this isn’t it. Even though it says ‘works on iPad’ its window proportions are of an iPhone. I don’t want to waste my iPad screen for a small screen. The developer is the same that produced ScrabbleGo which I found absolutely awful compared to previous license holder for scrabble, EA Arts. My search for suitable alternative continues.

Nonsense words

Played the bots but some of the words they came up with were clearly not in the Oxford English Dictionary. Please retrain the bots or give players the option to challenge the word, because it quickly becomes disappointing.

Enjoyable but ….

I’m enjoying being able to play the game with friends and family. However I keep trying to change my username from the randomly generated one given when I got the app. I’m following the instructions given in your help section. I edit it and change it, then save it, but this is only a temporary save - it then defaults back to the original random name. Rather frustrating ….

At Last!!

Have amended my review and removed a star. I would love to subscribe but hate monthly subscriptions. I would definitely buy if there was an option to buy the game outright to remove ads and get detailed stats. At last, a pure scrabble game with no gimmicks! I love it.

Runs scam ads

The game itself is fine, and had there been an option to buy outright rather than an overpriced subscription to remove ads, I would probably would have done so. The ads are incredibly intrusive, but worst of all I had a scam ad saying I had run out of iCloud data. This was really obvious to me, but is potentially misleading for someone less internet savvy. I’ve deleted the app as a result. Apple should take a dim view of advertising like this.

Great classic game, feel though it should have a timer on it to stop people taking hours or sometimes days to play their turn, it’s infuriating, and takes all the fun out the game!!!

Not impressed with the latest update

This is a great game and faithful representation of the original board game. I’ve love playing it but why take away almost all of the opponents in the latest update? Their variation was a key bonus point and restricting it to only 3 opponents will severely impact the playing experience.

Great game, no customer support

Game is good, but no transparency on ongoing costs. Did not want to sign up for free trial of premium subscription on signing up. Cannot find anywhere how to cancel the free trial, or what the costs will be either. Customer support are not replying in the live chat, it’s been over 48 hrs now. Worried I’m just going to have to delete the app by the end of the month as I don’t want be charged.

Good but surprised you can't play offline

Everything about the gameplay is great, and I like how simple the apps design is, but really really wish you could play offline against the bots so I could use it on the underground metro and anywhere else without WiFi

Good so far

So far, so good. I’m still in the 30-day trial period, but I’d be prepared to pay for this. Straightforward, unvarnished Scrabble, with no gimmicks. The bot opponents offer a variety of skill levels and playing styles, making them enjoyable to play against, and great for practice; and, when they do play an unfamiliar word, you can click on it to get the dictionary definition. Definitely feels like the bot opponents play fairly, and you can pick a level of challenge that suits you. I like it a lot.

Finally, a scrabble game just about scrabble! Hooray! Years ago I played Scrabble by EA sports, that was very good but then it finished and Scrabble Go seems to be the only one, which is full of ads and all the other collecting stupid cards rubbish, you have to do so much clicking and closing the cross after each turn. I tried Words with friends but the layout is terrible you can hardly put down the 7 letter words because the terrible layout and the dictionary is very odd. Finally found this one, which is excellent!! No rubbish stuff, just about scrabble. I particularly love the daily challenge where you have to find the highest score. There is one thing I would love to have on this app, which was on the old EA sports app, that after every turn, if it can show you what the best move would have been will be perfect. Please developers can you add this in? Thank you!! Also when I go for random opponents, there never seem to be anyone on similar level to me, which is not challenging enough. Can you adjust the pairing algorithm please? Thank you!!
