Used to be great now slow and unresponsive.

I loved this app, it began as a fast and very well developed bit of kit that I integrated into my professional workflow, but over the years as phones and iPads have got faster for some reason Mextures has become slower! I have notes that this is also happening to other apps from the developers. Come on Pixiteapps sort it out!

Not great

I can’t seem to be able to save images in their original resolution and the app doesn’t let you erase certain portions of the layers as you add them to the original photo.

Abandoned development

This used to be my go to photo editing app of choice.

But development and updates seem to have completely ceased.

Making the app go from slow to unresponsive to unusable.

What a shame and what a waste.

Fallen from grace

Mextures used to be the best editing app by a long shot. However it has grown sluggish and unresponsive. So much so that that I barely use it anymore. Customer support don't reply either. Not good enough.

Fantastic-please add ability to zoom image

Great filters. On iPhone panoramas are too small to be able to judge the effect. Would like ability to zoom in future version please.

i've spent money on this app but it's useless as it constantly crashes. cant even save a photo or view it after filter is applied. i even have a brand new ipad and it still crashes every time. sort it out!

Marvellous

By far the best photo editing app out there- and it keeps on getting better. I bought my first iPhone just so I could explore the endless possibilities that Mextures offers and I've been using it ever since. As well as the huge range of textures, light leaks and gradients, the tweaking and blending options are second to none. I love the film presets and the new photo picker makes things tons easier too.

I owe a lot to Mextures. You guys have supported me throughout my Instagram journey and I'm proud to be part of such a great community. Thank you and keep up the amazing work!

Mextures 2.2

I've been using mextures solidly for over 2 years now, and it's easily my favourite editing app by miles. The depth and scope of textures, light leaks and ability to transform pics is second to none. If your new to the editing side, there's a huge amount of preset formulas included to get you started. It's excellent value for money, compared to some of the apps out there. Then, throw in the community support on Instagram, you have a problem, query or not sure about something? They are always willing to help. I've yet to see another app interact with it's users the way the mextures crew do. And for that and all I've mentioned above, it's 5 stars. Arc Less Curve.

Lovely but buggy

I can't work with it anymore, because it constantly crashes mid edit. I've lost about an hour of work over the last few days, so I will delete it until they come up with an update and a bug fix.

Beautiful but temperamental

I love this app! The options are beautiful and I love that you can save formulas. However it seems to crash constantly and I can only ever do one photo if I'm lucky!

Oh no !

I so wanted this to work on my iPad.

It seems to only operate in portrait mode, so all of my iPad pics in landscape mode don't fit...........how stupid!

Not fully iOS 8 integrated.

I would easily give 5 stars for this as it's one of my favourite photo editing tools. However it's been over a year since iOS 8 and the app is not available via the iPhone photo editing tool as a third party app still?!

Really good...

I love this app. There's a large list of formulas to apply and then tweak, especially when you look at all the guest formulas. Some of the textures are brilliant, and it's possible to come up with some really nice results.

The UI is decent, and the app as a whole looks good too. I've never experienced a single crash with the app either, running on both my iPad and iPhone 5S.

The only things I might ask for would be a universal app, to take advantage of the larger screen real estate on my iPad,the ability to save partial edits and come back to them later, and a way to "shortlist" formulas and textures you're considering for your current edit, as by the time you've been through them all it's sometimes hard to remember which ones you liked. Favourites sort of provides this feature already, but they're global favourites, and not limited to the current edit.

Also, support from Merek is fantastic. He came back to me very quickly and helped me resolve a problem I was having.

Can't see my edits

I can't actually believe how this app is getting 5* reviews when it misses the most important feature needed on an iPhone. The ability to zoom in to see your edits is missing. How am I supposed to see what effect a filter is having when the image is the size of a postage stamp. All of the controls take up far too much screen real estate, it's very clunky. However, even though it's a bit of a hit or miss affair when editing it does produce some nice results that you can only see properly when you open your saved file in Photos. Good idea but poorly executed.

Shockingly bad, missing essential cropping and sharing

Amazingly the app will only let you crop to a square and even more surprisingly in this vapid socially networked world, you can't share to Flickr. The largest photo sharing site in the world.

Don't bother, I think I'll even ask for a refund just on principle.

Original Guest Formulas??? please return!!

I've very much enjoyed using Mextures it's a great photographic tool, however on using it for the first time after the update its becomes clear some of the original 'Guest Formulas' are no longer present??

Within the original Guest package Christopher Friedman had a formula called 'Coyne'....please can this be re-instated I've produced some fantastic pictures with this and think its a real loss to the app that it is no longer present.

**The new expanded current choice is good but isn't great sorry there are to many that replicate each other (scratchy grainy film effect etc).

Okay I love this app loaaadss but when I try and save my work the app crashes, literally EVERY TIME! I have to screenshot and then crop, but this doesn't guarantee quality :/ I'm on iPod touch 4 so idk if that's the trouble or not- pleeeaaaassseeeeee fix itt!!!
