I tried to redeem reward points for Credit card through this new app and it shows that that invalid request error.

Frustrated with registration
I’m in the UK using a postpaid airtel sim from India. I am fed up of this app! Its so annoying. I tried 100 times to register but the automated text message that needs to be sent to complete the verification doesn’t process. Everytime I try to send the message it says “failed” I have tried switching data roaming and everything else but it just doesn’t work. Its not sensible to shut the older app until the new one is launched and the user is able to access the new app. I am facing so many issues due to this.

It is very good app I downloaded. I have to activate international text messages service . then I report to the team about my UPI is not working I can scan and send the money but I can’t receive somebody. Tried to send me a money is keep getting failed.

Frustrating
Forcing me to download the app, lost access to the old app and I’m outside India now how can I access the app. Worst decision, not addressing the user needs, turn on the old version asap. Didn’t even notice us

Need more improvements.
Overall, the app is good. In the old version, I could easily add another customer ID, but the new app doesn’t allow this. My father and I use the same mobile number. I can register my own account, but I’m unable to register my father’s customer ID. It would be helpful if the app allowed two or three customer IDs on the same number.
At the moment it feels more difficult to use, and I hope design is not used for India accounts, especially for NRE customers.

Horrible app - old one was so much better. I’m in the Uk and it won’t let me register. Infuriating and doesn’t let you connect to customer support either.

From UK registration fails
The world’s 4th largest bank can’t get their &#it right even after these many feedback and negative reviews.
Trying from UK, registration fails with all the methods. Able to send SMS from the registered mobile number with bank but can’t doesn’t seem to receive it. The alternative method is it input customer ID, that’s gives error. Utterly frustrating!

Asks to verify mobile number but has a India number already inputted which cannot be changed then says error try again. Make everything difficult for us in the UK to deal with Indian accounts

Tried to setup my app here in UK with a Vodafone India sim (has international roaming service activated), everything went smooth and app is registered easily. Nice UI/UX, need to verify UPI payments though, noticed that UPI payment approval is not working

Rubbish, but can’t avoid it
This app is being forced upon you as the previous version seems to have been blocked. The user is given no option but to download this version which then fails to complete registration. I am based in the UK. The previous one worked just fine. What a waste of time!

No Issues
I am based in the UK, and the app works well for me. I had no issues with the installation. I've noticed many 1-star reviews regarding registration problems. When I attempted to register, my first attempt failed to send the SMS, but on my second try, everything went smoothly. Now, I can use the UPI feature with my UK phone number within the app, which was not possible with the old version. Overall, I am pleased with the app.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with the New App
I was forced to download the new HDFC app as the old one suddenly stopped working, leaving me no choice but to switch. The old app worked perfectly, and I never had any issues accessing my account. Unfortunately, the new app has been a nightmare.
I'm based in the UK and had to spend extra just to enable outgoing SMS and buy a talktime pack, only to find that the registration process keeps failing repeatedly. Despite multiple attempts, the app consumed my mobile balance for SMS verifications but never completed the registration.
This is incredibly frustrating and inconvenient. Forcing users to switch without ensuring the new app works properly is unacceptable. Please fix this or provide a reliable alternative. The old app was much more stable and user-friendly.

It’s Money eating monster
It’s clear that it wasn’t tested and forced on to customers. I tried the registration and it failed couple of times and each SMS costs money since it’s going to an international number. Only after the SMS was sent and HDFC couldn’t process then it asked me to try with customer id option. That also failed with some server errors. Nothing in the registration flow works. Why was I forced to use this app when existing app is working fine ? And for everything you have to call them or email them which is takes horrendous amounts of time for them to reply.

Do you enjoy making your customer’s lives difficult? Why make it mandatory? I live in the UK and I can’t verify through sms. The old app was perfect. If something isn’t broken, don’t fix it! I can’t use the app because you have kept no alternative option to verify my account. Seriously, do better please!

The new UI is very depressing. Additional steps added to check balance between NRE and NRO accounts previous app showed the balance together and the total amount as well. Cards page looks better shows all information in one place. This is an OKAY start got a lot more UI upgrades to go.

Poor app
Old app which worked v well for years stopped working because it fails to verify my overseas SIM. Same issue with new app too. Poor service because there are limited branches in my country. No local customer service too. Bad thinking and implication of technology
