Good game but hard for free players

This game is so good I love it but as an avid phone game player I reach for it less as it can get quite difficult on later levels. Due to the premises of the puzzle being a kind of guessing game of luck with what colours come next, it’s near impossible to pass a level as a free player that relays on watching adds to slowly build up coins for buffs if your stuck. I know games partly rely on in game purchases but for those that aren’t able to but happy to watch adds instead, there’s alot less wiggle room so you end up kinda just getting stuck and playing the game less.

Could be good…but

Unbelievable difficult very quickly! It’s got potential to be a real good game but it’s not. I am quite happy to spend a bit of money on games but this one you’d spend your entire wages for no return!! It’s not like there’s 1 hard level then you get past that and it’s enjoyable again, even the “easy” levels you can’t get past without spending money. Also the rewards are ridiculously low for the cost of help within the game

I’m hoping someone introduces a new game which is similar.

Great game… kind of.

I’m absolutely addicted to this game but it does seem to just become a guessing game. Near the beginning, I was able to go through 10-20 levels without losing a single heart, but with the guessing aspect, I now can’t go through max 3 without losing all 5.

Also, the pop-ups after losing a level are terrible. I’ve used so many coins on accident because they shove the “continue?” Screen directly in the middle of your screen.

The game is fun, but I classify it as a toilet game because you only get five lives, which can expire in less than a minute, and take thirty minutes to regenerate a single life

It’s a bad business model for the user because the game is random, meaning you are relying on a specific colour of car to appear, and on some levels, the odds are really high; therefore, the lives go in seconds. Of course, you can pay to continue when you lose a level, and the adverts can be long.

Overall, it’s a fun game that relies on luck and some thought process. It’s like a fruit machine that has been designed to take real money from you, using psychological tactics such as limiting the lives and making it so hard that you want to pay to complete the level. That’s why it’s a toilet game to be played once a day. On the other hand, games like this should be illegal.

Really relaxing until it isn’t

Downloaded and really enjoyed. Learnt strategies and had a lot of in. Now on ‘super hard’ level 349. After a day of play, watched dozens of ads as my lives (maximum 5 lives before you have to wait half an hour to gain a life) ran out, the cars change on each try. Make it really easy for the first cars then as it’s all random and you are forced to make guesses, it’s impossible to win. Can’t skip levels, can’t win. Forcing in app purchases for coins and extras to help. Had enough and won’t play the purchase game so deleting. Turns out it’s not relaxing but the most frustrating game. Impossible to win a streak to ‘climb a mountain’ or ‘float to the top’. If you win a few games you’re guaranteed to lose a few without watching endless ads, I dont recommend it if you want to try all levels.

Enjoyable for the first 100 or so levels. Then it becomes impossible. You literally can’t complete some levels without spending coins to expand the area. It’s good to mix up the difficulty, but you should still be able to complete it. Otherwise it isn’t “super hard”, it’s “impossible”

Enjoyed this game but your five lives go quickly and you have to wait to long fro one more life. I can put up with the adds but having to pay is a no no. The levels to win anything are impossible as you drop back every time. Whilst this is claiming to be a skills game if you don’t want to pay you get no where. Was a great game

I was really enjoying playing this game until I got a new iPhone and the game and progress would not transfer over. Contacted support but that was a waste of time as they never responded. Amazed there’s no way of saving progress.

Also, you spend as much time waiting for the game to load watching adverts, trying to get past pop ups then actually playing the game itself. So I used to play the game now it’s deleted.

Turned into a guessing game

With the lower levels there is an element of skill and logic required. As the levels get higher it’s a guessing game and pure luck if you guess right. With some of the higher levels there is an element of logic required but it is getting boring now at around level 300.

Maybe set the sequence of cars and colours for each level so by remembering the previous attempt one can work out what the sequence is rather than play the guessing game.

Downloaded the game after watching an advert whilst playing another game, the game is very addictive I’m now on level 457. Initially the ads between every game got annoying but you can guarantee if you win one game you’ll lose the next one. I wish the makers of the game would add a way for you to get extra lives without watching ads as to lives go very quickly. Otherwise quite a good game

Good in theory

The game genuinely is good as a premise. It gets harder however , where you cannot complete levels due to the lack of coins, limited lifelines and the time it takes to get a life. An opportunity for watching an ad to get coins would easily fix that, unfortunately, the enjoyment of the game is lost due to this. It becomes impossible to complete levels, then you complete the easy ones just for the impossibility to continue if you do manage to pass. A few improvements and I can’t see why anyone would still have struggle playing it.

Great game but….

This is a great game but unfortunately once you get to the higher levels and the game gets harder you are not able to get enough coins to use for the boosters that help you to complete a level if you get stuck unless you pay for them. Can’t you introduce that you can get free coins if you watch an advert like other games do? Without a way to get coins without paying for them I think I will be deleting this game soon as it is very frustrating to not be able to get any further on, and you don’t get very many lives to try and complete each puzzle. Yes, you can watch an advert when your lives run out, but knowing the level I am currently on is pretty much impossible to solve, watching an advert for one extra life is not worth the hassle.

Such a shame as I was previously enjoying this game.

Not a free game, need improvements

The game is nice, but in some levels it doesn’t depend on your tactics, no matter what you do you will lose, unless you buy coins which doesn’t make sense, there has to be a way to solve it. Also the waiting time for each life is too long and the coins you earn are too little for the game, this makes buying coins an inevitable option

Frustrating

You will spend as much time playing the game as you will waiting to play the game, thanks to the countless pop ups to tell you how you are progressing through the various events and also the advert after each session. If you fail or abandon a run you get 3-4 pop ups back to back warning you of the things you will lose unless you spend xyz of the games currency to avoid it!

Oh and between each level you have to pointlessly watch the car drive off and then drive back again as the level counter goes up by 1. Why we need this animation i don’t know!

I wish this was a pick up and play game for when you have a few moments to spare, but as enjoyable as the actual game content is, the rest of the nonsense always leaves me feeling irritated and frustrated.

Very relaxing

Nice relaxing game, 35 levels done, the ads do start to appear after level 21. Need an ad free sku. No piggy bank to purchase your own coins which is a stupid and greedy mechanic. Thankfully none of that here. the ads take away the full five stars.

The best game on Apple store, but ads have now started

I have been playing Car Match since the end of 2024, and I love it so much. It’s such a great way to unwind, even for just 10 minutes a day. It makes you think, you feel accomplished and you get great rewards. I have been playing with no issues and would give it a 5 (or even a 10 if I could rate it that high) but about 2 days ago the ads to pop up after each completed level, which is not ideal.

I downloaded this game because it had no ads. Can you please remove ads or even offer a one time reasonable payment to remove them completely please?

Its a good game but iv been stuck on level 119 for weeks !! When the level loads it sets you up for failure straight away and theres no way of matching 3 coloured cars up!! the only way you are getting past the level is if you’re spending money.. which im not doing ! there needs to be a “skip level” option or something 🙃

Fun game, needs improving

Game is fun and no ads is great and makes it stand out from others, however it takes too long to regain lives and there are too many super hard levels, making it very hard to build up a streak/more points. Great until New Graphics

Got this game from an advert and thought it would be nothing like advertised, but it was one of the only ones that was. Loved it, really enjoyed playing it, great escapism. Annoyed me that you get so little coins when you progress but if you get stuck, a lifeline costs so many coins. That was the only downside. Until they updated and the graphics changed. Now it’s awful, can’t tell colours apart, really difficult to play visually. Ruined the game and will not play again now.

Please bring back old graphics back as new ones are awful. Colours are off so hard to see what needs to be matched. Once you choose the car it then illuminates the next one which makes it slightly better to see the colours. Disappointed with new update. January 2025 update

Been playing this for months with no issues. Just updated the app with the new environment and animations. Please take it back to the previous animations and environment. The older graphics were much better. The new graphics make it look too crowded and make it difficult to use as the to they are larger. It all just looks less friendly. Why is it software developers ‘improve’ something only to make it worse? On the plus side at least it doesn’t have adverts after every level!
