Card replacement

Yes ok so everything is fine until you want to replace your expiring cards - not easy.

Replacement cards are not sent to you automatically and customer services either don’t know how much replacement cards are or they are not saying, telling me to apply for new cards online and then “the system” will give me a price! Hmmmm no thanks, I’ll go to Tesco bank where I got them from in the first place thanks once this pandemic is over or maybe I will choose to do without the hassle.

Potential fraud!

Had an issue 9 days ago with money being taken from my account whilst transferring money from sterling into euros. Reported it twice, no response or explanation. Terrible customer service! Check your transactions carefully, just a convenient £5 on each transaction!

I’ve recently received an email out of the blue and it brought to my attention I have been getting charged for not using! Absolutely ridiculous- would not recommend and will be using Monzo in future.

Easy cash passport

I love the security I get with cash passport. I had card stolen, made a call and they moved the money straight away to my second card. It’s so easy to top up when I am away and move the money back when I return.

So easy ....

to top up and use. I have used in USD and EUR many times for holidays and short breaks and I just love how easy it is to control and top up instantly from your bank.

Knowing you can sit in a restaurant and have a lovely last day meal with the family and get the bill and top up to the cent if you want and empty the card or be more flexible and change balance left to GBP and spend back home is great or put into currency of next planned break as I did coming back from Florida knowing I was off to Rome for a weekend a few months later.

I would never use anything else for trips abroad - cannot see how any other option is better.

This app works correctly on my I pad but is rubbish on my I phone. Cannot read writing correctly because the tops of letters are missed off. Also could not press validate button when trying to top up money. Ok if you’ve got I pad on holiday with you but I like to use my phone!

Simple transactions

Very easy to use and takes very little time to top up. I have used the card for euros and US dollars and transferring euros into dollars with no problems.

Quick Euros at a good rate.

Once you’ve got the card this is a Quick and easy was of getting Euros at a good rate. Topping up and checking balance on the app is quick and easy. Card works just like any other on foreign cash machines, restaurants and shops and is contactless. And you have credit card protection for purchases. Only downside is that you have to pay for the cash you put on the card in advance of spending.

This is the Best thing ever if you travel a lot. I can top up in the go and also keep an eye out in good exchange rates and buy more currency when I have spare cash. Amazing!

Love this card and the simplicity of topping it up. The only issue I had this time February 2020 it would only allow me to select paying in Euros if I tried to pay in GB pounds it declined. Never had this happen to me before.

Holiday time.

I was introduced to it 2 years ago, we have used it obviously in Europe but also Australia, Dubai and New Zealand we’re we are now.

Topping up is quick and easy along with getting a much better rate than on the High Street and definitely better than the Airport.

I would hope they will bring in more Currencies as we wanted Singapore Dollars on this trip and Thai Barts on a previous trip.

Otherwise brilliant card which I have already told a few of my friends about and they agree after using the card on there trips.

When moving money between currencies, the spread is ridiculous. Cost me over €60 to switch €750 to Swiss Francs then back to Euros shortly thereafter.

Rip-off

2% charge for GBP load! This is extortionate. Many other cards charge 0.5% or less. What exchange rate do you get? I can’t tell from the website. Avoid at all costs. I won’t list alternatives here as I don’t want to be seen as biased, but please shop around. There are many much better deals available. Also the sign-up process doesn’t work. You just get a 404 not found page. Not fit for purpose.

Sainsburys Cash Passport

Cashier in Sainsburys recommended this when I was getting Euro. My partner and I were going on a walking holiday and didn’t want to carry a lot of cash. It has been the best thing ever and so easy to top up sitting in comfort of your own home or anywhere. I was pleasantly surprised that the Currency rate is good. I had the App downloaded onto my iPhone but it was difficult to read. I got a new iPhone and put app on again and it’s easy to read now. My partner and I have a card each linked to the 1 account. Our New Year’s resolution is to transfer some money every month. I tell everyone about the Cash Passport.

Terrible

I’m current abroad and my accounts been deducted €160 but the ATM never dispensed my cash. None of the support numbers work on the app or Sainsbury’s website work. So now I’m stuck with no cash.

Top idea and easy to use

Beware don’t use in hotel bookings if security deposit is held

Even when hotel has removed pending takes ages for card company to release ur funds

Can leave you short on ur holidays.

This is the best thing ever when travelling, so easy to top up and use no matter where you are.
