Step backwards

What an awfull upgrade all I want in control of my car not an advert that is give me features I dont want or need. Funny part once I need to pay for this I will be paying for the junk junk also. Time to change car witch wont be hyundai. I have a PHEV wont even tell me how much fuel I in my tank unlike old app. Now just get a total. Where is the bar indicator for electric and fuel? What idiot designed this app must have not even thought about the cars it covers. Its a serious step backwards.

Step backward

The old App wasn’t perfect, but the new one is less stable, takes longer to open, has less functionality (detailed control over things climate settings) and fills the Home page with marketing content!
This should be an everyday App for owners, please remove that and design it for that experience (fast and simple access to car functions)

Not working properly since last update

Since last update when I try and connect to the car to check battery level it works but even although signal good and been using car keep getting the following which is really annoying -
“Remote control was requested, but no response received.
Please check the vehicle status.
* Remote control cannot be used under the following conditions:
- The vehicle is located in an area with poor network reception.
- More than 7days have passed since the engine was turned Off.”

Pointless replacement

Bluelink was absolutely fine. This is like Bluelink except 2/5 of the main tabs push ads for Hyundai products and services. I don’t need to be invited to configurate a new Hyundai car or book a test drive every time I check on my charge session. And the unlocked and charge notifications are far less reliable. I’ll keep Bluelink going without updating as long as possible I guess. Change for change’s sake and the user experience gets a little worse. Story of the corporate world.

It’s okay

I’ve been using the Bluelink for 4 years since I purchased my Kona EV. Sure the app had a few glitches but on the whole I found it easy to navigate around and use. The myHyundai app to me is clunkier and trying to find certain things isn’t as easy. That may because I’m used to Bluelink and as the front end has changed significantly in terms of navigation it may be just getting used to it. I don’t find it faster than the old Bluelink and truth be told I’ll continue using the Bluelink app until it is withdrawn.

Backwards Step

We have two Insters and Bluelink works brilliantly for both. No idea why they've moved to using this instead as it's nowhere near as good! Managing two cars - in particular - is far worse in this app.

Looks okay but not refined

The app itself looks okay and probably better than Bluelink app in some ways for remote controls but just lacks refinement. Options and things you want seem to require going in to this to then go in that. Constant focus on sales of cars and services. Biggest issue is maps and the default searching for dealerships.

En$h!ttifucation of an app to make £€$

MyHyundai is a very mediocre replacement for Bluelink and comes with an initial complimentary period after which I will be paying for neither of the subscription models. It’s harder to set a charge, you cannot see the car’s location and there’s meaningless bloatware added. None of the changes are of any advantage to the driver. Bad Hyundai, no Kimchi!!

Blue link better

With blue link all remote EV functions worked . Noe the only 4 that do are Climate On Locked
Stop charging
Start Charging
When i look at the rest none are active
So for me the blue link app this replaces is better. Please fix or go back or leave Blue link App working

Lacks functionality

I was quite happy with Bluelink and then this app popped up claiming to be better. It’s not better in my opinion. It looks like a lite version of Bluelink as it lacks some of the information that Bluelink gives e.g. the total odometer reading. I also find Bluelink better at displaying information on the opening page where there is everything listed like weather, calendar, vehicle status etc. Maybe this new app will be improved to at least match the functionality of the old one, but I’m not confident as other car manufacturers have done this recently and their app’s were also “dumbed down”.

A confused new app

Going backwards- switching cars in app was simple and now a complex task, viewing the map where the car is parked was one click and now requires accessing sub service menu with nearest dealer. Why do I need configuring a new car and booking a test drive every time I open the app? Fast connectivity with the car is important - this just got worse - now takes around 1 minute Overall the sense is that the app has no clear roadmap as to what matters to users making question the overall cost of the service.

It looks different, but it’s not great

Looks a bit different to bluelink, a but more clunky, and seem to have removed Maps feature, that helped locate the vehicle in its current location. Bad choice and downgrade to previous app.

Clunky and confused

Broken remote climate control - settings don’t work. UI to car now very unclear. Locked status no longer obvious. Car controls need to be surfaced. Worse than original Bluelink app

Old app was so much better

This app is terrible compared to the old one. Constantly doesn’t load, watch connectivity is also terrible always tells me to open the app on phone first (defeats the point of having it on watch).
Just all round terrible! Do not download

Does not work at all!!

I have downloaded this but nothing works apart from the sales blurb. I can order a test drive but the map won’t load, I can configure a new car but not control the one I have. All I get is please restart the app which I am sick of doing. As I already have a Bluelink subscription that I have paid for and it works Hyundai had better not even think of turning it off and trying to force me into this junk

2025-12-19

Awfull

This app is to replace the Bluelink app and it is far less capable. No maps, no send destination to car, no completion time for current charge, no showing where the car is parked, and a host of other missing functions. Just another example of Hyundai’s talentless coding.

Stop trying to sell me a new car

I have a Hyundai. It’s why I have this app. I buy a new car every 3 or 4 years. I open this app every few days. STOP PUSHING A NEW CAR ON ME.
This sort of behaviour is what puts people off staying with the brand.
I want to open the app and control my car, not have new cars and other services front and centre. This isn’t the right channel for those things.

2025-12-18

Useless to me

The key reason why I would want to use the app is turning on the heating/cooling before I get into my car. And guess what!? It’s not available in the UK due to CO2 concerns. So now, with the Plus subscription, I can open and lock the doors. That’s it! I don’t get why Hyundai can’t make at least heated seats and steering wheel available. I’m sure those will not drain the battery even on mild hybrid.
Anyways, when my complimentary plus subscription will run out I’m not going to extend it, as it provides ZERO benefits for me.
Honestly, I’m really upset with how Hyundai is not addressing this issue at all!

2025-12-18

Really bad

For some of the cars like for example the one that I own this app is useless. I can only lock and unlock car. In the Bluelink there was a feature to check vehicle location (super handy on airport carpark) but looks like it has been removed in myHyundai despite paying for subscription. Next car will not be Hyundai ….sorry

Improvement on Bluelink App

This app is a nice improvement on the old app in terms of being faster and cleaner. The only issue I have is that the old app allowed you to see the location of your car on a map, I am not able to find this option on the new app, am I missing something? I've given 4 stars as this missing function was one of the most useful in the old app.

Really bad

Where is the map of where your car is located like on blue link ? Its relay hard to use blue link is much better !!!
Gemma221
2025-12-17

Worse than the old app

This seems to have been designed with lots of input from the sales team and little or none from users. You can configure a new car on the home screen but why would you want to? I mostly use the app to check that I’ve locked the car. This now takes 4 taps or swipes when it used to be right there when you open the app.
MrChumley
2025-12-16

New app, same problems

It’s a more swish UI and the app is receiving (some) data from the car…but can I use the remote function? Of course not. Can I send an address? Nope. And NO I will not continually reset the connection with a paperclip. Garbage. Hopeless. Avoid. I will not be buying another Hyundai.
Cabinboystan
2025-12-16

Subscription Overload

Features that were available for free now behind a paywall. £100 per year to use things like remote locking!! Absolute scam!! I was sold the car as the features they are charging for as an inclusive benefit!
Though even if I wanted to pay the Pro upgrade, the app tells me “Your vehicle is not eligible for this product. Please check product availability according to the vehicle model and options.”
Car is about 1.5 years old and already it appears my car is too old to use features that worked perfectly fine 2 months ago.
theglenniverse
2025-12-15

Awful

One of the most used features is the map for satnav. Hyundai have decided to hide the map, why? It seems that you can only now access the map by searching for Hyundai dealerships??!
Despite using the app and already communicating with the car, my app seems to think that the car is 18 miles away??!
Terrible app.

2025-12-15

Better in some aspects, worse in others

I am an existing BlueLink user trying myHyundai for my 2023 Kona EV (Refresh). I like that it is easier to book a service from the app, that the battery % / range is visible on the top right of the control screen, and that the connection status is shown.
In terms of control, the new app is a step backwards, previously all controls were accessible on one screen. Now they are in multiple tabs, and depending on screen size may also require scrolling to access. At least give us the choice between a compact view and the oversized UI.

Nice update

This is a good refresh over the old app, but it takes 8 seconds to open! Get rid of the Hyundai splash screen, I’ll keep using the old one for the time being.

2025-12-13

I give up

App is just as bad as Bluelink. Subscription basis is a rip off. Why can’t Hyundai understand the importance of a good, free of charge remote app. I’m trading in next year and won’t be buying another Hyundai, primarily because of the remote app.
RichCrow

Wrong Seat Settings for UK

The App is not as easy to use as the old one - what happened to the refresh button?
Also, when I remotely set the drivers seat heating it heats the passenger seat!! I’m guessing that is because it hasn’t allowed for regional driving position differences.

Not bad could be better.

Nice to be able to control some of the vehicles functions and check that it is locked up while in the house. The location is not always up-to date sometimes showing where my car was previously located. Would be nice if the s/w would track and record the routes it has been on so they could be reviewed one destination has been reached.
DJ GeeMan
2025-12-11

Pretty pointless

The app seems 50/50 split between fairly pointless ‘features’ and trying to sell you something. For example, I have a new Hyundai, that’s why I have the app, so why do I need a Configurator for a new car front and centre? The supported car services are more Hyundai feeling a need to jump on the bandwagon rather than something overly useful. I don’t need notifying when the car is charged, I don’t need to pre-plan a route and send it to the car - that’s nuts. Uninstalled it as I hate apps that just try and sell you more services - why would I want to give a company yet more routes to that? Back to the standard Bluelink app and if Hyundai ever pull that and go all-in on MyHyundai then just no app at all, it’s not really any kind of loss.

Big upgrade from Bluelink but needs a tidy up

Cheers for the email alerting me to this. It is a massive improvement over the old Bluelink app. The modern design looks great and the Apple Watch support is a brilliant addition.
However, I am giving this 4 stars because the Home screen feels cluttered. Please give us the option to dismiss tiles like "Test drive". I already have the car so I do not need this taking up space. If I wanted a test drive I would just visit the dealership. The "Configurator" also feels out of place here.
I also have a constant "Service not available" warning on the home page. It is very vague. I suspect this is appearing because I disabled location services and product improvement analytics for my privacy. If that is the cause, please clarify the error or let me dismiss the banner. I do not appreciate the bloat and persistent error messages for optional settings.
Deezsyria

Looks pretty but…

…whenever I try to do anything it says “The service is not currently available” with a link to Settings but everything is active. A bit pointless really. I’ll stick with the Bluelink app instead.

2025-12-10

Poor functionality

Pity I can’t do zero stars. Compared to the bluelink app this is very poor
1) very difficult to see the unlock padlock in status. Lock is easily visible. Does not show status of boot or bonnet
2) remote command does not sound horn which is very handy when you can’t find the car in large car park
No alerts for fencing
3) no alerts if car is left unlocked
4) difficult to switch between multiple vehicles. You haveto make the second vehicle as main before being able monitor it
Massive step backwards from Blulink
This is all about marketing and not functionality

Does not work

A useful Hyundai app was long overdue but so far this failed to deliver. Tried multiple times but it fails to find a network. Even though I’m on full fibre broadband and a full 5G data signal. I’ll stick with clunky Bluelink

2025-12-09

Clunky and limited

The home page seems more interested in selling me a new car. I had to go into several menus before my vehicles eventually showed up, and then there’s no obvious way to switch between them in the app.
Going to stick with the Bluelink app for now, hopefully this will improve soon

Why no heated seat control?

Why doesn’t the app let me set my heated seats along with the other climate control options? It doesn’t make sense that I can do other things but heated seats is not an option!? I get into a nice warm car on a frost morning but then the seat is like ice.
TonyJC80
2025-11-18

Ok but doesn’t notify when unlocked.

That app is well laid out but has a major problem for me I don’t get notified if I forget to lock the car, also doesn’t refresh status very often, I have to swipe down to see updated status. Would be nice to have the car status on opening page, I.e. charge status, lock status, etc like on the control page.

Nightmare

So now I have a PLUS subscription until sept 27. And the app knows this - yet won’t allow me any features, saying my subscription doesn’t allow it. And to think they charge for this “service” absolutely disgusting.
OfficialPC
2025-10-13

Entirely arbitrary whether it works or not

For an app for which Hyundai charges £99 p.a. It is absolutely hopeless. Many of the remote commands simply don’t work and the developers over many months now claim to be fixing it with no tangible progress. One day something works and the next day it doesn’t. An equivalent app called Bluelink is only marginally better. Hyundai need to allocate some serious resources to fixing these properly.
Coldwaterjohn
2025-10-02

Clunky

Considering Hyundai put so much into their cars it’s a surprisingly poor app. Far too much emphasis on sales functions and handbooks all of which you can find easily on the web and not enough emphasis on controlling your vehicle. It’s not intuitive for some of the day to day functions because it’s so cluttered with other stuff
New app only appears to give info in km and I want miles!

Far better than BlueLink. Great to have Apple Watch support. Would be good to see Siri Shortcuts integrated to build better automations.
