Description
SOVL is a ruleset for playing fantasy wargames. It can be played with miniatures on a table or on your phone/tablet.
Fantasy armies meet on the battlefield and fight until one side is the bloody victor. Units of soldiers maneuver on the table and the outcome of melee combat, volleys of arrows and destructive spells is decided with dice rolls.
Features in the digital version:
Campaign mode: "Trail of Death" is a procedural campaign with roguelite elements. Start with a small warband and develop it into a grand army that can challenge the final boss.
SOVL Army Builder: Create and customize your army for any of SOVLs factions. Choose a Commander to lead, select units and their equipment, and design a color scheme.
AI Battle: Take your custom army and try it out against an AI opponent. Test your unit compositions and optimize your strategies.
Multiplayer: Play games online against other players. Challenge your friends and crush them on the battlefield!

Fantastic
I really enjoy this game. More so the PvE and campaign elements. It’s a lot of fun. I prefer playing on PC. The controls are easier and it’s a bit better but that goes for pretty much all games. It’s nice to have a convenient mobile version. I do wish that I could sign in and my progress would sync across both platforms

Fantastic strategy wargame
Excellent variety of tactics and flavours, multiplayer is a blast with friends and the game is still receiving additional content. My only wish is that content updates would launch closer to the same time as they do on PC - PC has been updated with new heroes & Avalon faction. iOS is still very much behind.

5* Game that doesn’t work on Mac
I’ll rate this 5* on my android phone... but here on my iPad the app crashes on the start screen. The devs need to fix the boot issue or update the game so it no longer works on older iOS.
I’m on 12.5 so maybe my device is too old... but in that case either update the game and fix it or update the game and make it only available to later iOS.
Will amend my review if it ever gets fixed as it is a great game :}

Amazingly simple, slick warhammer conversion!
It’s free, try it! It’s awesome 😆 but devs please note this issue: I bought the abysall deamons faction pack and it doesn’t seem to function offline… Im only online once a week max so please fix! Love!

I like the game and am sad that basically no one plays it
if you want a actual good strategy game this is for you i think it’s amazing getting away from all the slop games and I now basically only play this Roblox and clash royal

Terrible
The game mechanics are so bad my units won’t move when I double tap drag or anything else, and they don’t even bother to put a tutorial, very glitchy and ends up with them winning because my units just stand there because I can’t move them, come on.

Loving the game so far, would love for the campaign to follow onto the harder difficulties to give you more of a characterful army and then some minor customisation to weapon load outs as you do for multiplayer but great work from the developer!

Top tier game
Hey, played the game on my laptop and was really happy to see it on mobile the other day. Only major gripe is that I bought the ratkin pack played a few games enjoying it then when I came back on I’m prompted to pay again?! I can still see my progress on trail of the dead but would rather not re buy a pack I already bought.

Addictive Warhammer Lite
Probably the best fantasy strategy game ever made, available for free. An incredible 1 man project, free to play, with factions to support the dev. I’ve sunk 400 hours into this on Steam, and now it’s here on mobile to really reinforce my addiction.
