It’s an independent source that allows you to compare products as you shop. Just scan the product barcode and Think Dirty will give you easy-to-understand info on the product, track dirty ingredients and shop for cleaner options

• Dirty Meter® a comprehensive rating is given, along with detailed (but easy-to-understand) information on ingredients, certifications, and health impacts.
• My Bathroom Rating: keep track of what’s already in your bathroom. Learn your current bathroom rating, and track your progress on “cleaning” it up.
• Shopping lists: save products to make shopping faster and easier.

Really helpful and insightful
Gives loads of info on good/bad ingredients, has most mainstream products(is missing most new products) but there’s always nearly identical products to compare w; also after looking at a few of your products you learn what good and bad ingredients are so automatically know just by looking at the packaging !!!

It’s a good app for guidance but lots of products not on there that are very popular such as faith in nature and happy naturals etc. Also I always have to use the search key words option instead of bar code scanning as that would be quicker it hasn’t worked yet for me.

Honest, unbiased, easy to use
Think Dirty has made finding clean beauty products so much easier. Not only can I just scan the bar code to see how safe a product is, I can also see what any toxic ingredients are so that I know for the future. Love this app!

Very UNimpressed. Another bandwagon jumper
Feels like a huge advert for certain items, with many “top picks” consistently reviewed by consumers as poor quality or not working. Singles use plastics aren’t factored in at all- at a time of utter planetary crisis over them, you’d think that a truly ethical app would have addressed this in their ratings system?

Need a UK friendly version
This is a fabulous concept but not user friendly for UK products.
Downloaded the app and got fed up with it not recognising what I’d scanned and having to send off the code for them to chase it up, became a bit of a pain so deleted the app! Which is a shame will download again maybe when it’s more versatile.

This app has changed the way see make up. Even companies that claim to be clean and organic, some of them still use ingredients that have lost by term negative effects on human health. I deducted 1 star as I think there is room for the app to expand the lines and companies it offers information on. A must have app for teenagers to have and be educated on what they are putting in their bodies from an early age.

Love it!! Can’t believe how many toxic ingredients are found in so many of the products I use and for no reason do they need to be there!
There are a few of my products that aren’t yet listed on the app but you can easily make a note of this on the app and they will get back to you soon after they have found and tested the product!

Not many products on database
Just started using the app today. Was excited until I started scanning my products and most are not in the database. Also most of my products doesn't have a barcode since I don't keep the packaging, so I can’t submit those.
There should be a way to submit products without scanning ie. manually entering or grab from website.
