UNSAFE AND CREEPY

The app functions well and it is easy to work, however many of the people on there are looking for specifically women to show them nude photos. And I mean really nude, this isn’t safe for children or even teens. The people you meet on here are quite disgusting and have no respect for anyone’s personal space. I got asked to show my body and my bottom and it would ‘make someone’s day’ I found this inappropriate and offensive. This app should be deleted and I don’t recommend you going on it, unless you are looking to be sexually teased and are brave enough to show yourself on camera/video. I would give this 0 stars if I could..

What’s happened

This app could go so far with the specific features built in, especially as Omegle is gone, it could be the no.1 social networking app, but since it hasn’t been worked on in ages; there’s just an influx of terrible people bots and discriminatory individuals. This app could especially work with this generation of people however no input has been made to improve it since it’s been released.

It’s creepy

I mean, sure, it functions well but KIDS STAY AWAY!! There are creeps on this app but I just happened to delete it because there was this kind person who made me delete it- he asked me all sort of scary stuff and I told him I wasn’t comfy enough to answer them and he responded with fair enough, which is true. I got really uncomfortable which led me to deleting it - cuz that person said so.

Unusable

The app constantly freezes while you’re typing in a chat. The problem is, you can’t just close it and try again. You have to shut down and open the app, then go back to the chat, send what you had already typed and only then can you do anything.

But when this happens 3 times while trying to type 2 messages, there’s no point!

Save your time and your effort and download ANY of the other random chat apps out there!

App Keeps Freezing

I love this app, nice to chat to new people!

Although one problem, if I type a message over 2 lines of my text box (Apple’s own text box) then it completely freezes the app. I force close the app and when I click back on the chat it freezes again, forcing me to reinstall the app every time. It’s an annoying issue and hope it gets fixed soon!

KEEP AWAY!!

This is a good app to meet new people from all around the world on but and I repeat KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM THIS APP!!! There are some people on this app that will send you photos that you do not want to see! And there are also people that will make you feel like you have to send photos in the exact way! I was messing with someone and sent them fake pictures of “my” body and they screenshot them and started blackmailing me with them luckily i was able to block them and report them but thats not my point you should really update this app so you cannot and I repeat CANNOT send any pictures or have some sort of safety thing on the group chats so you can see what is actually being said because it is really disrupting that someone has my face and “my” body on their phone and are going to spread them on social media. I understand this is also my fault but its not the first time this has happened not just to me but to some of my friends. People can be really manipulative and for that KEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN and anyone else who does not want to see anything!!

If you want to be paired with your gender of choice you need to pay.

Otherwise you get randomly paired with male and females, and the problem is especially that it is not based on your interests but actually completely random.

So it's completely useless to have a chat app based on interests if in the end you get paired with random people like any other tinderlike chat.

The app itself is pretty good, however the new update where the profile picture is bigger doesn't allow me to scroll down to see someone's bio.

ALSO, when putting specific categories (e.g. age and countries) it can sometimes match me with someone who isn't in them which is rather annoying. I would rather just wait longer for someone rather than being put with a random person. :))

Please ensure you focus more on keeping people safe. Yes, you did what people asked for, we asked for profile photos, however with that you enabled lots of problems. People have taken that on themselves to harass chatters by putting explicit pictures as their profile photos. Please have moderators surfing checking for people who destroy this app through this method. Also, please block those who have been reported and blocked.

So,This app is amazing.But the fact that i have to waste money just to talk to a person that doenst jerk off infront of the screen...Its disgusting! What a shame

What a shame, I get real lonely and this app used to help me make friends.. Now I have to pay just to search for someone to talk to. It's a real shame because they have slowly been trying to grab more money by introducing adds and things but this is just harsh.

A real shame, I won't be using this app anymore.

Quick update, they have updated the app for 'bug fixes' to clear the bad reviews, I will keep giving it bad reviews as people deserve to know that the premium features are a cheap rip off feature intoduced.

I don't feel safe anymore.

Since Chatous have changed the app so that I can't choose who I talk to, where they're from and the gender, I no longer feel safe using it.

I used the app as it was fun and a cool way to make new friends. It was an environment in which I felt safe. But now I most definitely do NOT feel safe. Now it's just like other sites such as Omegle where it isn't that safe.

Please change it back. I don't feel safe anymore. I nearly got a panic attack because I don't feel in control of who I speak to anymore. It's not safe anymore. :(

Ok I downloaded this app, it was great and everything I loved talking to the nice people and it's got a very clear layout, however everytime I try to change my icon and bio, it does it and the second I leave and return to the app it's back to the old one, only thing that needs fixing

Connection problem

The app is really good. But I kept on having notifications that didn't exist in the app and could not send messages without a "message error". So I deleted it and reinstalled. Upon reinstalling I couldn't sign in, it said I was "logging in" but it would always disconnect and send my back to my home screen.

I have tried on both my iPod and iPhone, using 3G and wifi, and it still doesn't work. There is clearly a bug in the app. Fix

Downhill slope

I've no idea if it's my chatous only, but I never get girls to talk to, it's guy after guy after guy... I'm not saying this because I want a girl to go out with, I'm already in a relationship but I just want a nice chat, with a nice girl is that really so much to ask, I like the new style and interface but there are so many errors it's unreal, I hope chatous is fixed and a new option to search for "just girls" or "just guys" Also there are to many catfish which is rather disappointing..

This is a great app but things need to change

The skip button is to close to the talk button so people accidentally disconnect and it's bloody annoying

Also every time I enter it takes forever to load

So I have to add about 15 hashtags before it does anything

Way too many fake profiles on there, need to try and fix that. Also you should be able to instant reconnect to the # you was using when you or someone leaves chat. You are forced to find the # again which is frustrating, but I doubt chatous will read this and bother fixing the problem.

I think that they should make an update that when you sign up it gives you a choice between what you only want when you are searching for a match for example it asks you to tick what gender you only want between female, male or both and you will only get what gender you tick/pick, please make this happen

Good before update

Wish I hadn't updated. A really good, fun app but the update ruined it. Forcing people to add tags about themselves defeats the point of the anonymity aspect of the app, you can't send pictures without being friends with the person, which I don't usually want to do, and the fact that the two participants both have to choose to chat with each other also defeats the purpose of 'talking with random strangers', which is why I downloaded the app in the first place. If they could change back these "improvements" the app would be perfect!

It's fab , was up till 2am talking to complete strangers , yes there are a few naughty guys on here but it's random so that's what makes it fun , kinda get a buzz not knowing who ya going to chat too next !!! Yes please to being able to select gender would make it perfect !
