Just wow!

Fantastic game! Can’t seem to put it down, sometimes it’s hard to figure things out but that’s what’s good about it....absolutely amazing

Only bad point - after hitting the blue save points my progress sometimes doesn’t save taking me back ages steps :/

Other than that please don’t be shy in making another one because il pay whatever 👌

This is what this game NEEDS

The thing that Oceanhorn really needs is a free roam mechanic that you can have fun with, and don’t think I hate this game because I DON’T I love this game because I love Legend of Zelda Games so because I put ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars wasn’t the actual game I love it but it does NEED this game mechanic so buy this game! IT IS AMAZING

No sound without earphones??

Game seems really good so far, excellent graphics and fun gameplay but for some reason I get absolutely no sound unless im using earpones, not sure if this is intentional or im just being stupid

Broken mfi controller support

Sadly had to request a refund on this because the controller support has an issue whereby if the controllers are released the character defaults to moving in a up/left direction.

Matches Ocarina of Time

This is giving me as much joy as playing they young Link segment of Ocarina of Time. The developers are obviously highly influenced by the LOZ series and to be fair this is a big juicy homage to all things Zelda. Thanks peeps.

Some things you have to do, that are required for you to progress, are not obvious at all. Not for me anyway, so I end up spending ages just wandering around pointlessly. Expected a little more cohesion from an £7/8 game.

Nice graphics, interesting game

Finally got it working! I really like the graphics, it’s taken me a while to work out how to throw things, but I’m not a regular gamer, so trying my best to master it. Will persevere. Only rated 4 stars as it’s taking me ages to get to grips with it, but that might just be me!

Amazing and fantastic

Worth every penny. Can drive you mad if you are a 100% completion sort of person, of which I am one. But its worth every penny that I paid, took me an age to complete and had fun all the way. Just do it and buy it you won't regret.

Great

This game is one of the best on iOS, don’t listen to the brain dead that can’t figure stuff out so give it less than five stars, it’s a truly great and original game, lots of fun, good design, good graphics, smooth polished bug free and doesn’t crash, and you can play whenever you want, I bought this when it originally came out, played it and couldn’t get far so I was looking for something to play a few days ago and remembered this and downloaded it, and I’m glad I did such a joy to play so few titles these days are enjoyable, and you can play whenever you want, be nice to see a second in the series as this is quite old now,but great work devs and keep it up.

Great game but saves are intermittent

It’s a great game and gorgeous graphics but I wish it would save more regularly. It’s difficult to find check points and too many times I have levelled up and completed quests, only to log back on to find it hasn’t saved. A save and quit option would be great or save when completing quests and levelling up.

Lovely to look at but..

Can’t jump so loads of the map can’t be reached, and after 65 mins of playing my daughter walked the character into a dip behind a tree and is now stuck there for eternity. What a waste of money and time.

Excellent with a controller

Not played recently but stumbled across this game again and played it in 2015 with a controller on my iPhone 6 on a number of long flights. It was easily the best mobile first game I've ever played for depth and playability comparable to the best console platformers.

Serious slowdown

Playing on the iPad 2017 and I'm getting severe, prolonged slowdown and lag every few minutes that only stops when I close the app and restart. Shame because it seems fun and I may have to refund.

Awful

This is a poor game not suited to iPad. Control is impossible, from bombs wasted because they are constantly activating when not wanted, to navigation and poor control when fighting. I wasted my money here. Rarely pay for a game and this was just £5.99 wasted!

Wow. I can't believe I missed this game on release. I loved the original Zelda series & this is as near as I've seen to Nintendos masterpiece. This is, however a great game in its own right. Really lengthy, endearing characters, loads of collectibles & challenges. If you like exploring, this game is for you. Amazing. I'm off now to dust down the old N64. Nostalgias got the best of me. Roll on the sequel.....

A freaking mess on Apple TV

The iCloud save does not work. It also does it save any game you start on Apple TV. It erases any progress. Truly appalling after so long still bug infested. No sight for sequel either.

Zelda for iPhone

Amazing RPG. If you want something as close to Zelda as possible on your iPhone, this is it. Easy to use controls, great graphics & gameplay. Great storyline. 10/10.

Suddenly no sound

I was playing Oceanhorn with my Mad Catz ctrli controller and all was going well. I reloaded my save game after 1.5 hours playtime and it played with no sound

Great game... Almost

Pros:

The is a good looking, addictive game with a lot of variety and a good storyline that doesn't intrude. It is also great fun to play.

It's a good length too with challenges that you can go back and complete even after you've finished the main objective.

Cons:

The controls are relative to the camera angle which is OK (and logical) when exploring but adds unnecessary difficulty when the camera is swinging around all over the place in boss battles. ("Run around on the spot then dash off in the wrong direction" is rarely a tactic I'd use by choice).

Some of the fish types are almost impossible to catch. Luck seems to be more of a factor than skill (Though large amounts of both are needed to catch either a botfish or a ghostfish). Whilst not essential to complete the game it is frustrating nonetheless.

Great little game and the touch controls are almost perfect. However if you can't get the hang of bomb throwing after the first boss you get stuck and unable to escape so that could do with fixing. I couldn't get the bomb to stay in place or throw at a distance when I wanted it to meaning I wasted an hour on a game I cannot complete so take that as a warning to anyone playing the game to be careful there. Saying that the rest of the game is perfect

Best game for Apple TV so far!

After randomly going out to purchase an Apple TV 4, we ended up looking for some games to play. After a quick search around Oceanhorn seem to get positive reviews, so we took the plunge and don't regret it one single bit. The graphics, the sound, the gameplay, is exactly what we hoped for. This is a great game for all ages, and I hope other developers take a note from the team behind Oceanhorn, as this translates so well for the Apple TV. If games like this keep getting released, soon there will be no real need for a games console. We love it!

I've finished this game and got all the achievements, it's pretty much perfect on my iPhone 6, apart from being a major battery drain but that's understandable because of the amazing graphics. The developers really should make a sequel!

Screen rotate now works

A while back I wrote a disappointing review of Oceanhorn because the screen wouldn't rotate so it wouldn't fit in my MFI controller.

With that fixed (many thanks devs) this excellent game gets the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it deserves!!!!

Playing on new apple tv and for some reason he can't walk, just runs all the time, even when using an analog stick.Worst thing is I have had to start from the beginning 3 times because the save file disappears.Please fix as It obviously doesn't save properly on the device and the game center backup doesn't either

Waste of Money, Zelda Rip-Off

Seemed promising and was fun for the first few minutes, but got boring and lost my interest. I've been wandering around for ages trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do as the game tells you nothing about your objectives. Most aspects of the game are obviously taken from LoZ, and the protagonist would be the spitting image of Link if he was blond. Save your money, don't buy.
